panpan:The above comment shows that you're not up to date on events concerning drugs regulation in Nigeria. Codeine, tramadol and other opioids are currently banned in Nigeria. |
wisdom042:They're seizing it because many Nigerians now abuse it by using it to get "high'' due to its euphoric effect since it is an opioid. If Nigeria had a coordinated system that ensures strict regulation of drugs distribution, wholesale and retails, there wouldn't have been any need to outrightly ban such drugs as codeine, tramadol and others. This is because strict regulation would ensure that these drugs are sold only by registered pharmacies and only upon prescription by a medical doctor, dentist or other qualified prescribers. That way, there would be accountability as pharmacists are trained on how to track such drugs and keep proper records of their use. But in Nigeria, people sell drugs just for profit making while many are unconcerned about the impact of drugs on public health. It's just about profit and that's bad!!! |
These importers are the ones killing the idea of coordinated wholesale and drug distribution centers in Nigeria! That idea of coordinated drug distribution was a very great one that would have helped checkmate the activities of these illicit drug dealers. It involves centralizing drug wholesales and distribution such that all the players in the drug wholesale and distribution business are stationed where regulation would be easier. These places would have police stations and NDLEA posts, and superintendent pharmacists would be supervising flow of drugs in these markets. That arrangement would help put a stop to the current bastardized system that gives room to faking of drugs and facilitates activities of illicit drug dealers! But as usual, that noble idea seems to have been killed! Imagine that NAFDAC doesn't even have access to our current open drug markets! The last time NAFDAC tried entering bridge head open drug market, they were attacked and chased away by these merchants of fake drugs and deaths! The reason why governments fold their arms and watch these guys send Nigerians to their early graves is what I cannot fathom. If the Coordinated whole centers were already in place, it would help lessen the burdens on NDLEA so that they'll concentrate on the higher classes of illicit drugs. I wonder why that noble idea has yet to take effect?!! Initially, 2019 was set as the deadline for implementation of that idea, this is 2022 and nobody hears anything about it anymore! Is Nigeria not cursed??!!!!! |
DrFunmisticGlow:The thing is tiring. Imagine waiting for up to three months before consulting a doctor! Yet we keep producing doctors and other healthcare professionals for other countries to employ. Before getting some tests done, you have to wait for eternity. Yet this lawmaker is busy chasing shadow instead of dealing with the real issue. |
tiswell:You're very right on this. That's what I have always told people when they lie about how marriage is for companionship and all that. Most married men are alone! Nothing like companionship from their wives. That is why some seek fun with younger girls outside or take to drinking beer to make themselves happy. |
That lawmaker must be high on some sh1t! You want to stop health workers from embarking on strikes so you can finally kill and bury our health sector Instead of pressuring the governments to improve the welfare of these health workers, you're there sponsoring a useless bill! Go to our teaching hospitals and you'll cry because of the harsh conditions under which our health care professionals are working. Poor salaries and allowances, fewer hands to attend to multitudes of Nigerians trooping into the hospitals daily, obsolete equipment etc. Check how long it takes a sick person to consult a specialist doctor in our teaching hospitals! Sometimes it's up to 3 months! Is that supposed to be Why can't we have a system that ensures continuous supply of specialist physicians and other healthcare professionals in this country To ensure that Nigerians don't waste time and resources before they're attended to in our hospitals! Many have died in the process of waiting for appointments to see doctors! These are the things the lawmaker should be concerned about, not that obnoxious bill. Happy that he lost his loved ones to the rots that have bedeviled our hospitals. May he lose more of his people if he fails to do the right thing. Many of us have equally lost people to the bad healthcare system, but because we're not politicians, nobody hears our cries! So, I pray that more politicians and their loved ones die from the messed up system, perhaps that is when they'll see the need to revamp our comatose healthcare system. |
Cleanworld:YOU'RE AN ILLITERATE |
Op, I can understand your plight. The reason is that an average Nigerian girl is not interesting to be with and to make matters worse, they don't even make attempts to improve on themselves since they believe that only the guy has the responsibility to bring everything into the relationship---the fun, the funds, etc. Many of them can't even hold conversations. So, after enduring a few months of boredom, it is only natural for you to lose interest. |
@op, these 'end time children' will not understand what you're implying. They always learn the hard way! |
I might not like the lifestyle of this bobrisky guy but I can't help but notice the jealousy being exhibited by our nairaland resident slay mamas on this thread. Una dooo |
Another skit |
caesymore:You're very correct, brother. Our thoughtless and wicked politicians should take the bulk of the blame for the rots in our society today. How I wish Nigerians can learn to target our corrupt politicians and mete out jungle justice on them. It'll help a lot in making sure that only the honest and competent ones present themselves for elections in this country. |
Hassanmaye:Honestly, it hardly works that way. You'll spend so much energy and fund on those higher degrees only to remain unemployed after graduation. |
Great0ne1:Don't mind that frustrated lady! She'll still bittch about and tag the man a weakling if roles were to be reversed. I'm sure that if it were possible for men to carry pregnancy, many men would have gladly carried pregnancies for their wives because that is nothing compared to the sacrifices men make just to keep their women happy. But many ungrateful women like op are too dishonest to appreciate all the sacrifices. |
Ankapaige:It is not always about pay my friend! It is about applying your knowledge and skills where it is more appropriate. That is what would guarantee job satisfaction! I'm sure this man would have preferred working with his degrees as a lecturer in a university or as a researcher in a research institution or other organizations, but the corruption and nepotism in Nigeria hindered him. It's unfortunate! People! Never you make the mistake of studying higher degrees without a job first, especially PhD. It usually doesn't end well for the person. |
Fake story! |
Brenda Fassie. I actually cried the day she died. |
This op is really BORED, obviously due to joblessness and loneliness! It is funny how she thinks herself a better woman even when everything about her points to the fact that she is undesirable, lifeless, lonely, hence the boredom that has become her life. Reminds me of one mad woman in my neighborhood who is always first to call others mad. Irony of life... |
The Nigerian police need to incorporate courses on the dangers of professional quackery in the society into their training curriculum. The manner they handle issues related to quackery is appalling. It's as though they don't care about the millions of Nigerians that have lost their lives to these quacks. That's why they handle these quacks with kid's gloves. People kill others in this country using drugs, unprofessional surgical procedures etc and go scot free. It's not fair! |
elmas:The condition I'll put her in may not even permit her to cook food. |
I will never be scared of marriage for fear of being cheated on by my wife. I won't even lose sleep on account of a cheating wife. I can't torture myself for another's indiscretion. But one thing is sure, I'll definitely know when my wife starts cheating, and trust me, I'll not be the one to divorce her. But she'll wish she got divorced because I'll happily put her in a condition that's more terrible than being divorced. Shalom |
Death sentence to them! Fools disgracing the great Igbo nation everywhere in the world |
Please how do people manage to harden their hearts to the point of snuffing life out of others without their consciences judging them I'm asking because I want to learn how to harden my own small, though I won't kill anybody. I can imagine the girl crying, pleading and struggling for her life, all to no avail. Terrible! |
Adakintroy:You people should stop typing rubbish here and trying to justify the cruelty these guys face in the hands of their evil bosses. If the boy wanted just the knowledge, it would have been a different arrangement! And he wouldn't have spent up to 9 solid years with the man. The money is the koko! We have seen many people who faced similar fates after serving their masters for so long. They got settled with paltry sums that couldn't help them in any way to start off. While few of them were lucky to get help from relatives, many were not that lucky and eventually could not make any headways but resorted to doing odd jobs to survive. These evil bosses should be called out and made to understand that slavery is no longer condoned in this modern time. Wicked souls! |
yunqdady:Nice observation from you! Keep observing me while I catch my cruise on nairaland! |
bidexdo:Lol...the thing is really paining them. You know, most of them come here to look for "abroad" magas. |
Nigerian girls are more boring! Or as usual, should we overlook their own faults while emphasizing about those of guys You know, for you females, accountability is expected only from the male gender. |
Red pillers are really doing a great job here! It's clear that the deceptive vaginarians are no longer getting worshiped by guys here, hence they're crying. No more magas to milk from this site like in other platforms. Kudos, guys! Ubunja deserves a title on this platform for all his miseducation! |
fredoooooo:Exactly! As simple as that. |
That oil and gas part got me LMAO Well done, babes. Anytime I enter Asaba, I'll come and enjoy at hustlevile. |
worriedhubby:That's where the problem stemmed from. Family background matters a lot in choosing a spouse. I think you should warn her sternly about running from one fake prophet to another. Let her choose between remaining married to you and doing what she's currently doing. Stop being soft and trying to prove your innocence. She's preying on your softness about the matter. I'm almost certain she knows what she's doing! |
