A pastor is first a christian . He must practice what he teaches. If he teach on fasting and prayer ,he should be number 1. Same goes for evangelism ,intercession and giving. He does this as a believer not as a pastor. 80% pastor earn salary from jobs and businesses . Only few are into full time ministry , and most of them may have allowances or salary. They should pay tithes as others.

Pastors didn't change it to money. People still gave money in bible days , as tithes , they gave money equivalent of the value of wounded animals etc. people still give tithes of material things today. People mostly give cash because it's a general medium of exchange . Israelites were primarily farmers. Their proceeds were usually used for services in the terbernaclre. I can give material thing as tithe. A laptop dealer can give laptop as tithe since the church may need it. Same goes for generator or give money equivalent

It's a sin to judge others intention wrongfully. If you claim those who Belive in tithe are wrong Based on your own belief no problem. We all have right to what we Belive . but if you claim those who teach on tithing are fraudulent. You are sinning. Because no man will use the name of God for fraud. Every one work according to their conviction. Every man has right to his conviction . A man who serve christ with wrong motive should be left for judgement day . Tithes or church money doesnt belong to the pastor. A pastor is not a tithe collector . The same way bank money doesn't belong to the bank manager. When you miss the basic foundation here all your conclusion will be wrong too. People give tithes based on their understanding and they should not be persecuted for their belief .

Yes pastors do pay tithe. Some pay it in their church ,others psy it to another ministry they are submitted to.

He spoke according to scripture . An unsaved man is still of the devil ,no matter how genuine his heart is. God calls them children of wrath.

Ephesians 2:3

Tithing is to God. It's part of worship. But the donation or contribution you mentioned here was for. Brethren who were struck but financial hardship.

The scriptures quoted has to do with free will giving for the saints in Jerusalem. Not about tithe?

I get your point. I was just trying to analyse the pastors response. He didnt answer the question you put across. He addressed an attitude. The open challenge was the attitude he was correcting. He didnt mention either you were right or wrong because that wasnt the issue. He was looking at an attitude. But i believe if you had asked him privately , or during a question and answer session .as in some churches it would have been answered properly

Offerings are based on spiritual principles. There were different kinds of givings in the bible. such as giving to God, giving to the poor, giving to parents , giving to the prophet, giving for church projects etc. Some of the offerings you mentioned sounds strange. It would have been good for you to ask your sources to explain it.

If you dont belive in the celebration, you are entitled to your opinion, but the wrong thing you did was the open confrontation of the church structure. Thats why your gOod intention was seen as rebellion.

You would rather have met the pastor privately for clarification if there need be. There are many things we do that may not be in the bible. But that doesnt mean they are bad. Fathers day , mothers day and many other things. If you are part of an assembly , its either you submit to the structure there or you keep to yourself. But going open to confront a structure. Insted of talking to the leadership was not a mature thing

How many preachers have you listened to , to draw such conclusion. Preachers do preach contentment and simplicity. And its not a contradiction to the message of prosperity. The prosperity of christian is not about wearing gold and diamond but rather m for the propagation of the gospel and also for reaching out to help others in need. It takes prosperity and sacrifice to make free bible available for souls on a crusade ground. You must have the money to spend for such project. Thats prosperity

No matter how dire or insurmountable the situation may be from a natural standpoint, all you have to do is pray in faith, in the Name of Jesus. James 5:16 says “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Notice it didn’t say, “the effectual fervent prayer of everyone availeth much,” no; it says “of a righteous man.” Which means, just one righteous man is enough, and that should be you! 1 Peter 3:12 says, “…the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers…” The very thought of this should inspire you to pray fervently and have confidence in your prayers, knowing that every time you pray, you’ll surely receive answers because you’re the righteous.

The next time you kneel or lift your hands in prayer, do so with faith, confidence and boldness, for you’re heard of the Father.

He can't be possessed . Possession means ownership, it takes place in a man spirit. When demons inhabit that man's spirit. A christian is a new creation . His spirit is born anew. God and christ owns and dwels in his spirit. So a demon can't come there. How ever a christian can have demon in his soul ( mind) or in his body. I especially if he opens himself up through sin .

Go didint make man sin. He gave man free will . To obey and disobey. Man made his choice. Even though God gave him liberty to choose. He still recommend the choice of right decision for man and not wrong decision.

This was the missing link for the philosophers, who had no idea that the spirit of man is where the light of God shines for him to receive spiritual enlightenment.

It's a simple thing, the girl need to simply do the honorable thing as a born again . Apologise officially. She should write the bank. And the bank will withdraw the case and offer you apology if there need be. It's not a bad idea to document your conversation with her. In addition , if God could make mary righteous without the death of christ , he could have made the whole world righteous and that will be against the righteous justice God stands for.

Besides its not MARY that made Jesus holy . What about her other children are they holy too without salvation?

Where does the bible say that? Joseph could have been kept from Adamic sin as well. And if that's the case , Joseph or mary could have died for us without a Jesus . But every man including mary were altogether born in sin.

Mary was a product of fallen Adam . Her blood bore the nature of sin like any human person . If you claim Jesus had mary blood , are saying Jesus had the nature of sin.

So are you saying Jesus had the corrupt blood of fallen man? And he redeemed man by offering corrupt blood ?

Blood is life .Life does not come from dust. Life comes from God. Adam got his life by breath of God . The breath of God is the spirit of God . Its is the same spirit that gave life to christ without the agency of man.

Jesus had the same. Neutra nature the first Adam had. He was not a product of sin nature. Every child born is born in sin .

Psalms 51:5
Behold, I was brought forth in [a state of] iniquity; my mother was sinful who conceived me [and I too am sinful].

Jesus could as well be born by Joseph or judas if we go by your analogy. He didnt have Marys blood .He was purely a child of the holy ghost .

Where did Adam get his blood from? That's where Jesus got his blood from. And that is why he is called the last Adam

. His blood was neutra .Why did God have to go through the complicated long process of virgin birth etc? If Jesus blood had been from fallen adam , anybody would have died for us. A little baby could have been slaughtered to appease God. But all have sinned . Even the little bany is a sinner. Mary also had the fallen nature through Adam . Jesus must have a pure blood , neutral from sin just as Adam used to be before his fall.

They seem to be getting secular over faith issue . But not for long. Nigeria is the capital for real Christianity in my opinion and God is sending men from Nigeria to nations of the world with the gospel and signs and wonders . The world will believe very soon

The difference from my understanding was that Mattew mark ond John were among disciples of Christ but Luke was not among them , he was a convert of Paul. His accounts of Jesus were handed down to him

What were the school built for? What was the vision behind the institutions ? Was it built for church members or less privilege? Or built to save the decay of quality education in the nation? .

If the vision for the institution was for free education or for Christians only or for the poor. You may blame them . But I don't think that's the case.

Churches should not be castigated for the fees in schools. He school is public institution and normal fees should be paid .
