wale4me: hello,l got the ukvisa today and thank you all for the Legal advice and asistant ..this forum is a huge sucess with the noble contribution from the talented honorable members like justwise .....thank you All and GOD BLESS

@wale4me, justwise has given you the best advice, tick on YES and then explain in summary, what happened and attach the letter from the border guard department they sent to you, and that would tell them the whol story. They will surely issue you the UK Visa, no worry yourself. Once you got like US Visa issued in your passport, UK does issue you their visa within 48hrs, seen it b4. So God dey, nor fear. You're clean.
Congratulations, i'm happy for you.

yacha77: I had a lot of respect for u guys but seems u know everything but how to moderate. A dude asked bout accommodation in dubai, guess he is attending a course that I also did early this year. Gave him some tips and got banned for what reason. If u are gonna ban people u say why by either on the topic or a personal mail. What I told him was something most people regret not doin and if the forum got any use its advising each other. So why hide that and ban me for no reason.. I'm sure myself and many others need explanation so pls do that cause I one time put up a msg bout dubai visas wen I was there cause I had some Qs I needed answers to, that topic just disappeared into thin air. Thanks
Sometimes its good to relax a bit when you complained about something and wait for explanation, no moderator banned you or hide your post, the spam bot did, you don't need to be rude about it without hearing from anybody.

If i had seen the thread before i wouldn't have bothered replying you in complain thread.

Well, they depend on Education for the survival of their economy.

You will say the same thing when you get to Canada or US, they don't pick money on street of those countries.

I gave some one cool advice that I have all the experience in first hand so what could be ur reason for that. I don't post much and do wen I'm so sure of what I'm saying. I need explanations.
I did not hide the post on that ID, the system did, i was not even online at that time.

That is sorted now though.

ogheneyoma: justwise, dharkchild is correct, seems u misunderstood me though....i have just my maintenance fee complete for 28days only. bt if am to add tuition fees, den i ll ve to wait till late august.
anyways, thx for d advice.

I understand that now but if you are paying the fees make sure that they issue you another CAS, don't use the one you have now.
I paid accomodation dat is 3280 to my school and it reflected on my cas.I also put in 3920 making it 7200 pounds in my account for 28days and was rejected for insufficient fund .dis is really annoying and dis stupid pfl pple were the ones dat advised me.
How about your school fees? Sorry to hear about the refusal but its stated in UKBA guidance note that the maximum you can deposit for accommodation is £1000.

banky1987: I use to believe that we have progressive minded people on this forum but sometimes you get disappointed, for the benefit of anyother person that may fall victim of this friend of mine i have this to say. He just got a ticket this morning and will be flying on friday i.e 3rd of August....his visa is an open visa which means the day will start counting when he got there...pls let us pray for our brother.. I will post it here when he made it through.
What were you expecting from people when you started this thread? Get the agent arrested? Get your friend a ticket? Help get him smuggled into Mexico? What exactly?
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by justwise(mod): 9:54am On Aug 01, 2012
Dharkchild: He has all the maintenance money and not all the money including his school fees. It would be faster if he pays and gets his CAS updated rather than waiting for another 28 days.

He wouldn't be issued another CAS, his CAS details would only be updated with the embassy and on his portal to reflect the new payment

He has to be issued another CAS that will reflect the payment
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by justwise(mod): 8:30am On Aug 01, 2012
ogheneyoma: yes i have been issued CAS already
Then you can go ahead and apply for visa since you have all the money for 28days, time is not really on your side. Paying the fees now and waiting for the CAS to be reissued before applying for visa may eat-up your time.

August is a busy time for student visa application, but if you think otherwise i still wish you the very best.

Fill that card with all honesty, try and fill it before you get to the immigration checking point, they do take the info in that card seriously.

ogheneyoma: pls i need more info on this.....i started counting my 28 days from 4days ago (dis includes fees for both my tuition nd maintenance), and it matures by end of august. however, i have maintained a minimum balance of 3million since on d 9th of july, which is more dan enuf to cover my maintenance fee of 7200 pounds. But, if i intend to add my tuition fees(16500) to it which i just paid into my account four days bak,, den i ll have to wait till late august cos that is wen it will mature. So i intend paying my skul fees of 16500 pounds from it so that i can apply for visa by 10th august, becos since on d 9th of july, my account balance has not gone below d minimum 7200 pounds needed.
do u tink i can apply by 10th of august successfully if i follow this route?
i just got my bank statement today as well.
What kind of offer were you given? Conditioned or unconditional offer?

Travel › Re: My Multi Visa Application In 2004 ..l Need Advice by justwise(mod): 6:29pm On Jul 31, 2012
luckyusa: An honest story, in jan 2004 i applied for a ukvisa with a different name and date of birth but i was refused because of the money in the bank account so again in December 2004 i applied again with another passport name and date of birth but l was refused because based on the visa officer they requested for more document from the person i claim to be my uncle to prove our relationship and that he has a proper accommodation for me to stay and i was given a right to appeal the decision or reapply providing the needed document but l refuse to appeal or reapply because i do not even know the person that l claim to be my uncle so it was impossible to get more document from the guy that sold them to me and this happen before the finger uk visa application policy
But in 2010 after staying in Nigeria and completed my degree program i got a scholarship to study in the usa and apply for a new passport with my real identity and date of birth and l applied for a usa student visa, l got the visa and travel to the usa and am currently studying in the usa as a scholarship student but my problem is now ,my university is organizing a tour program for master program student in my group to London and l have to apply for a ukvisa but l want to confirm if the uk embassy can detect my pervious application on the different name and date of birth
Am confused because my previous multi application was not detected or refused because of different identity in 2004 but insufficient documentation and lack of fund
l know l was mislead to getting all those multi passport on different names because when l apply with my real identity and true date of birth for the usa visa in 2010 and l attended the interview was granted the usa student visa with the visa office asking only 3 question and my solid advice to fellow Nigerians is that do not use fake document or stolen identity to apply for visa .this will have great negative impact in the future ... felt sad and depressed now because of great error of the past ..l need advice on what to do and please note l have never given my finger print at any uk visa centre in the past ..no matter your advice am still in the position to thank God that l stayed in Nigeria to complete my bachelor degree because my friend did the same stuff in 2004 and got the ukvisa on the third attempt with a different name but two month ago after 8 years he was arrested working in the uk without proper document and was deported back to Nigeria .he is now in Lagos with no bachelor degree ..l pray GOD show us the truth in life and we never make this ugly mistake resulting in a regretted life ......thank you and you honest advice will be appreciated.
The only luck that is on your side here is that you did not give your finger print and you got a new passport to start on a clean slate.

The next important question now is the moral issue, are you going to acknowledge your passed mistake in visa application form?

Your chances of getting a visa is high because its school organised program and you are applying from US.
Travel › Important Advice To Students Coming To The UK by justwise(mod): 6:04pm On Jul 31, 2012
This advice explains some of things you can do to help with this.

1)Make a note of a suitable UK contact including full name, address and a phone number which will be required when you complete your landing card.

2)Ensure you complete your landing card before you meet the Border Force officer in the UK.

3)If you carry your passport in a protective wallet, please take it out before you present it to a Border Force officer.

4)Never give false or misleading information (including forged or counterfeit documents) to a Border Force officer.

5)Have your university confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) letter and medical card (if you have one) in your hand luggage that you carry with you on to the aircraft.

6)If you don't have a CAS letter, please bring thorough details of your course of study.

7)There are restrictions on food products that you can bring to the UK from outside the European Union, even for personal use. Restrictions apply to products made from meat, dairy, fish, eggs and honey, as well as some fruit, vegetables and plants (e.g. bulbs, seeds, cut flowers and tree bark).

coolThere are also restrictions on the amount of goods such as tobacco, alcohol and gifts you can bring in the UK. If you exceed your allowances all of your goods can be taken away from you.

9)Never bring in counterfeit goods, illegal drugs, firearms (including realistic imitations), offensive weapons (including knives) or indecent or obscene material.

10)Make sure you are familiar with the conditions of your visa including the number of hours you are allowed to work.
You must declare any sums of cash of €10,000 or more (or the equivalent in another currency) if you are travelling from a country outside the European Union.

11)If you would like further information on any of the above please check the UK Border Agency website for more information.

There will be dedicated student lanes at some of our airports so keep a look out for these when you arrive.
