In the hospital where I had my child I shared a room with 3 Venezuelan women so what you should do if you intend to stop birth tourist is to tag other vlogs about birth tourism not just this except u have smt else in mind .. Nigerians are the worst guys I swear see where jealousy and hatred has led us I shake my head for the black race we are truly cursed..
Can you stop making some silly and unfounded allegation? Why would i open another ID to say something?

Jealousy and hatred of who? That you have achieved what? Giving birth in Brazil and getting the passport? And you think i should be jealous of that?

Please this nonsense has to stop before you start shouting about abuse of power and bullying.

Tell me that you did not read where the guild line stated that the money has to be available to the student even in the UK? We have argued this before here and i even dropped the link here but each time somebody comes here to ask question related to using the money after the visa is out you will be quick to support it.

We can not encourage fraudulent act and still complain when the rule is changed because of our disregard for mmigration rules

I'm following a couple of nairaland threads and all are generally convivial with people sharing information and ideas, but this particular thread is not so and it usually revolves around your condescending approach towards people you don't even know. Excellent take down. The problem is Justwise hasnt lived anywhere else apart from the UK&Nigeria and that colours his view. Imagine saying Brazil is an advanced Nigeria, Brazil that is even far ahead of india and Nigeria isnt anywhere on India's level. We are so far far behind. Even UK sef is overrated, with this new Brexit situation, anyone thinking of work access to all of Europe including the UK itself should consider Republic of Ireland.
Lol you too? You deserve to be in Brazil then

Who told that I haven’t lived anywhere else apart from Nigeria and the U.K.?

How do one still compare Brazil with Nigeria? been a mod doesn't mean you have to put mouth in all things travel especially the one you have no knowledge of.

Nigeria legbe Brazil... How na!, Nigeria does not even compare to South Africa and I dare any one to give a detailed comparison between SA and BR and we will see how far Brazil is ahead of South Africa.

Recent rainfall turned Surulere, Lagos (Nigeria's modern city) to a dumpsite, that won't happen in Brazil because the waste management packs waste daily on streets. No flooding due to blocked drains and gutter, sidewalk on all streets unlike Nigeria that you will be struggling for right of way with keke, okada and vehicles.

Most of my purchases here are made in Brazil and the quality is good whereas almost everything consumed in present day Nigeria is imported.

Brazil has several Metro lines to all cities and towns in Sao Paulo and you pay R$4.4 (#400) to use it to wherever you are going. In Lagos, Nigeria, the one Fashola started is still pending and we don't know when it will be completed. The air-conditioned locomotive train they did, the price is like #800 and we don't even know if it is still in use.

How many Nigerians can boast about the Public health system? I know we have the Health Centres but how many are properly maintained. In Brazil, the Public Health Centres are well equipped to give diagnosis, consultations, tests, prescribe drugs, vaccinate, dispense drugs and more and you wont be charged neither do you need to be referred by one of their seniors to get a preferential treatment or so that you will be attended to on time. Nigeria is still calling on WHO and Aids relief organisation to end Malaria. "borrow-borrow" government. Brazil government discount drugs for Hypertension, Diabetes and Asthma.

During this Covid-19, the government set up an emergency relief for every low income earners or anyone whose source of income is affected by Covid and they pay monthly since April. R$600 to single applicant or R$1,200 to Family. Nigerian government said anyone with 5k naira in their account do not need aid. R$600 is about 50k naira.

Public transit bus arrive at scheduled time, you can use the public bus everywhere and it will only cost you R$4.4 and the way that works is fantastic. with the R$4.4 I can enter a bus, stop at a market before my bus stop to get stuffs enter another bus on the same line to get home and I won't be charged on the second bus. Let's see if the local BRT bus system permits transfer of fare.

One of the things I was always pissed about in Nigeria is that there are no 'open to Public' Parks and Garden or Leisure centres where athletes alike can freely practise or where families can have a fun time. Come to Brazil, you will be spoilt for choice. When I was staying in Cambuci, SP I tire for Parks (Parque}. There's even one with swimming pool just in front of the Dia Supermarket I buy groceries.

I have spent close to 4 months in Brazil and I have never slept without light, 24 hours light in all 3 places I have stayed.

Brazil passport gives you visa free travels to many countries and we both know Nigerian passport does not give you visa free travels to some countries in Africa that the Brazil passport will take you to.

Brazilians are free people and they are thus welcoming so they have less worry and little expectations so it won't be a surprise if you see them settling for less. They aren't like us that are under pressure to impress/oppress everyone around us so I understand if you see Brazilians around you "somehow". It's not difficult to see 3 generations of a Brazilian living in the same house. They really don't care.

The best way to understand the Brazilian culture is to look through their architecture. It isn't far-fetched to see lots of joint structures in all parts of Brazil
So this is your understanding of: Brazil is an advanced Nigeria? Shock horror

the money will reflect on the balance but not all bank staff can print the account statement.

Will the embassy know that some part of the fund is restricted? if yes is it against the rules?

Yes it’s , obviously that money is not yours and will not be available to you in the U.K, it’s actually misrepresentation which is likely 10yrs ban

1. If for instance, I fund my account with 2M and it's enough for my maintenance and the remainder of my tuition fees. If after let's say 10 days, someone credited my account with 2M and on the same day I withdraw the 2M. have I broken the 28days rule?

2. part of the money in my account will be restricted-though it will not affect the balance but not all bank staff can print the account statement.wil this be a problem if the embassy/my school check the account?
1. No

2. I don’t quite understand your question

Pls if for any reasons, after the 28days, and after the visa application and lodgement, the amount gets to reduced either as a result of currency fluctuations or human factors (using the money small).

Will this leads to visa refusal or denial?

Thanks as am anticipating a response
Read what the rule says about that money before or after your visa is out, that money is not just for you to keep for 28days, it should be available to you even in the U.K. That is exactly what the money is meant for, not to be used in Nigeria even before you get to the UK.

Hello justwise, the Brazilian passport can take you to every country a US passport can take you to except, Japan, Canada and Australia. In return however, the Brazilian passport can take you to Russia, Turkey, Cuba and Iran which US and British passport holders need visa to. You can also stay in the UK visa free with a Brazilian passport for 6 months in 1 year + 3 additional months in Ireland.

I am not saying one is better than the other and i don’t compare countries. All i am saying is that they can replace each other to a very large extent especially when it comes to Europe. You will be better off working in Europe as a Brazilian than a US citizen because of tax implications.

Well... you have the internet, you can confirm it for yourself. I usually find it very difficult to make sense to a lot of people, please forgive my ignorance. I have lived on 4 continents include the US and England and i see things from a very broad perspective but i am also extremely limited in many things. I’m more than humbled to hear your point of view. We learn everyday and it will be more than a blessing to learn from you and everyone here.

If there is one thing i have learnt in life, is that, the more you discover the world, the more you realise how little you know. I don’t know much.

Cheers
Any Nigerian saying he prefers Brazilain passport to UK, US or other developed countries is just lying to him/herself, i wouldn't knock anybody out for wanting to live in Brazil but to start comparing Brazil to other developed countries is just insane, Brazil is a 3rd world country still transitioning from 'developing' to 'developed' status.

Whoever wants to travel to Brazil should do that because its easier to get PR then passport but not because Brazil is one of the best countries out there.
Brazil is just an advanced Nigeria

You are absolutely right. The philosophy behind British and Americans giving birth in Brazil is that, their child still get to keep their parents citizenship anyway and get at the same time a valuable passport that is drama free. Because the Brazilian passport takes them to many of the countries their passport can take them, it is advantageous to use the Brazilian passport because “nobody hate Brazilians”. If there is a plane hijacking, their child will probably get away alive with their Brazilian passport rather than an American or British one. While other nations always watch around their shoulders, A Brazilian does not have to. No one cares about terrorizing a Brazilian.

It is a security policy for them. Their child will probably feel comfortable walking the streets of Cairo, Mogadishu, Cuba or Russia without any fear.

The second issue is about tax. America taxes it’s citizens no matter where they live or work. In most cases you pay double taxes. The tax in the country you are working in and tax in the USA. Developed countries have agreements with US to automatically deduct the tax and send it to the IRS in the USA. Considering that taxes in Europe are already around 25-40 % + 10-30% tax for US, you can imagine how much you will be left with.

A Brazilian passport solves that. When you are employed in Europe, you show up your Brazilian Passport. Brazilian does not tax its citizens working outside. You get to stay “American” and Brazilian whiles you enjoy your full salary or other income if you are an entrepreneur.
Lol which Brazilian passport are you comparing to US or British passport ? The same Brazilians I see here?

Please try to digest the situation on ground. No one (including myself) is suggesting that anyone on this thread should use company account for a Canadian study visa application. We all know that there are certain restrictions that accompanies funds in company's cooperate accounts and thus any applicant that intends using a cooperate account MUST include a bank reference letter and a Board Resolution Letter duly signed and approved by the board of directors of the business.

It will end in praise
That is wrong, you can not use company's account to fund foreign education, money in company's account is for the running of the company.

dommakavelli is absolutely right, Board Resolution Letter means nothing when used in a case like this. The op is a 3rd party and has no link to this very company.

This company is not a charity organisation so it makes no sense that their document will be included in a visa application of a stranger.

Hello Justwise,

There are so many content to a board resolution letter. By law, any small scale liability business/company can have a constituted board members or board of directors. The article of association also says a lot. Two people can run a small scale business and still constitute a board if need be.

No matter how small a business/company is, a CEO is a CEO as long as there is a steady and reliable flow of funds in its own capacity sufficiently enough to cater for any positive satisfaction. By using a company account which "some" say its pungent and gets the VO not smiling, and if using the company's account pose to be the sole choice, and no matter how small or average that business though there are few exceptions; the board resolution letter is one easily and legal document to demonstrate financial approval et al.

Just like in actual sense that a Deed of Gift for cash seems baseless or off in more similar understanding as the Board Resolution Letter. The truth is if you claim the other person is wrong then you might likely be wrong too because these facts in contention are not on the official website or immigration rule book of IRCC.

I don't think personally that relevant documents in its numerous numbers pass a wrong message especially when its directly involves the application and personal or certain circumstances. It is bad when it becomes confusing and unorganized. Every situation isn't the same and there might be need for more relevant documents to back a claim of a claim and/or convoluting events.

I believe its an open forum and what is necessary is to either contribute your own viewpoints or respectfully pass your message, afterall, you also do not have substantial proof that what has been said was not in light of either IRCC or the VO's discretion. We all have to acknowledge and understand the actual truth in practical experiences based on that of others or ourselves. There are many advices and perspectives in expressing, narrating and sharing past experiences with interested others. This "mouth" has a reliable proverbs that helps the listening ears think through their minds to find actual solace.

This is just me trying to air my opinion and contribution to this dragging issue that is about to derail the thread. We should always look for better ways to express ideas without castigating. This should be considered as my only "contribution" on this topic.

Know that I hold you in high esteem. One love!
You are missing the point, this is not about what board resolution letter is, its about whether its necessary to submit it in this occasion.

Again its a bad idea to submit company's account as the source of fund for foreign studies no matter the amount in that account, you use the profit from that company which will be supported by tax documents showing the gross and net profit.

I disagree. Conditional offer is when they still need few documents from you (IELTS or proof of English proficiency, or any other documents, etc) before issuing unconditional offer & CAS, while unconditional offer is when they don’t need any document from you before issuing you CAS. Paying deposit doesn’t have to do with unconditional offer. It’s only a proof for them to show that you’re interested in studying (commitment) in the institution and they’ll book a seat for you.

My offer states “Unconditional offer”. For them to keep a seat for me I have to pay 1k GBP deposit.
That is not true.

The visa officer's at the Canadian embassy only works with the information provided in an application and a decision is primarily reached based on what the applicant submitted with her application.

I reiterate, Board of resolution letter is used by sponsor's whose financial operation is majorly on their company's cooperate account with little or no savings in a personal statement. This letter will be accompanied with other financial statements like the CAC certificate of the business to prove ownership of the business and bank statements to prove the financial stability of the sponsor.

The visa officer are not custodians of knowledge and for sure will presume that a well established business cannot be effectively managed and running smoothly by only two persons (Husband and Wife). There are a lot of documents requirements for applicant's using company bank statements as POF and board of resolutions letter is one of them and plays a pivotal role in the application. The board of directors also referred to as the share holders in a business has great influence in funds accessibility and availability towards the applicant's studies in Canada and mustn't be neglected. They (board of directors) are the decision makers in every established limited liability company.

I have come across a GCMS note, where the visa officer pointedly mentioned that he is not satisfied that funds in the sponsor's account will be accessible by the applicant due to funds restriction by the shareholders in the company. As for evidence which you asked for, Board resolution letter is very pertinent and is mostly used to substantiate funds accessibility for those using cooperate accounts in their study permit application. It has never in history pose to be a problem in the immigration policy of Canada for study permit application.

I don't dish out what I am not definite about on this thread, before I make a comment on a post, I must have backed up evidence and proofs as to the validity of my experiences. This has been my code for over the years. If you require proves to support my claims about company board of resolution letter and the number of applicants that have used it in their application and were successful, I will gladly furnish you with them.

Thank you!

As always, it will end in praise.

How did you come up with this assertion that using a noatrized company board of resolution letter for a study Visa application will weaken the op chances of approval? I can barely count the number of applicants who used this letter and were still successful with their application. This letter is specifically meant for applicant's whose Sponsor's mostly operate with a cooperate account with little or no savings in their personal account. It has never in history increase the rate of refusals, albeit since the op sponsor has more funds in his personal statement, then including a company account/board resolution letter is not applicable in her case.

It will end in praise
I know very well that many of you here are trying to help and not intentionally trying to mislead people but i will encourage all us to think long and hard about things we post here.

What exactly will board resolution letter prove? That the sponsor has the money to sponsor her? That the sponsor is willing to use the company's capital for non-business related expenditure ?

The op does not work for this company and her application got nothing to do with her uncle's company, all the VO wants to know is that the money is available for her studies in Canada

So rather than providing evidence of that you are sending in board of resolution letter?

This is just a company run by husband and wife and you want her to submit board of resolution letter written by the same uncle and you expect the VO to take this seriously?

Glad to know you've finally received the visa officer's secret file (GCMS note) on your application.

In a situation like this, I would suggest your sponsor should obtain a bank reference letter that will attest to the fact that he is the sole signatory to his cooperate account and has satisfactorily been running this account since its creation date until now.

Your sponsor should also get a board resolution letter clearly written on the company's official letter headed paper. This letter should introduce your sponsor as the MD/CEO of the company, and in the letter, the board of directors should confirm that they are fully aware and in support of your sponsor (MD/CEO) of the company to sponsor your education and stay in Canada for a two years master's or PGD/C program in Canada. They should further state that they wouldn't pose to be a hindrance or obstruction to funds accessibility during the course of your studies in Canada and that adequate provisions are in place to making sure that funds are available for you without working in Canada to pay for your fees etc.

In your letter of explanation when carefully analysing and tackling the refusal grounds that were raised by the visa officer in your last application, you should ensure to draw the attention of the new visa officer to the aforementioned points about the board resolution letter and reference letter which you have added in this new application. Also elucidate in detail how the funds for your education will be spent by drafting a financial table detailing the annual funds available and annual expenses for your first year of studies. Having said that, your sponsor should also try to pay at least your tuition fees and have your living expenses transferred into your domicilary account.

I am confident if you implement the above points, it would considerably improve your application chances for approval.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns in this regard, don't hesitate to reach out here for professional assistance.

It will end in praise.
This is really unnecessary and will not help the op, sometime we unknowingly contribute to the increasing number of the refusals here.
