But you know what they are doing is stealing for 2023 presidential elections. That is why Lagos state will not undertake any new projects over the next 4 years. They may manage to patch up some roads and complete previously unfinished projects but I can fully assure you they will never take on any new projects. 2023 mode has been activated. Lamasta: |
I was even gonna ask, what of the current port in warri? Why have 2 when the one currently there is not even been patronised? Mcreloaded: |
So says a man who will never have 0.0001 greatness that Muhammed Ali had. It is so easy to throw stones at others whilst hiding behind faceless monikers on social media. And it is quite classless of you to mock anyone on the basis of their choice of religion. That you are able to sum up the man into his choice of religion shows how narrow your thinking, shows what deficit of knowledge you have of the man and the times he lived in and clearly speaks volumes of who you are as a human being. Guys, please anyone on this thread farming Momax in South West Nigeria, kindly offer guidance. There are some questions I have such as: 1) does Momax do well in the SW, as much as it does in the North (or at the very least close to that), all other things being equal (best farm practice, good soil type and so on)? 2) are these figures, for land preparation, reasonable in South West, Ogun State: Landclearing 70k per acre De-stumping 15k per acre Ploughing 9k per acre If No to #2, can anyone put me in touch with someone that can do it for a more reasonable price? Emmachille was very helpful as i spoke to him over the phone but his operations are based in the middle belt and i just feel it is better to inquire further as to anyone who has done the above in the South West, specifically Ogun State or states with similar weather like Osun, Ekiti, Ondo. Any idea would be helpful and is welcome. Thanks in advance guys. |
Guys, is there anyone farming Moringa, on a reasonable scale, in the South Western part of Nigeria? I would like to have a conversation before setting up my farm early next year. Any updates would be quite helpful, thanks. |
Thank you for the update. SocialJustice: |
Bro, please can you share your contact so i call you. Kindly follow back and let 's talk privately. Thanks EMMAACHILE: |
Bro, please what time of the year is best to plant Moringa for someone hoping to plant for the seeds? Alberttahir: |
Hello Guys. Any updates. Please when is the best time of the year to plant Moringa, for someone who is interested in the seeds? Ogun State precisely. And what is the average yield per acre or hectares to be expected, using organic fertilizer mainly? Any ideas ![]() |
Do u know how wikipedia works, you nicompoop. Anyone can edit the content of wikipedia, FOOL! Fact remain Fact. Dubai visa is easy to get and Air Peace is doing 200k return ticket. With 350k you can go cure yourself of your stupidity. People like you are the real problem of the country. Rather than say things as they are with hope that things will improve. You hide behind faceless profiles online and spew lies. PureFace1: |
To call Lagos a megacity is an insult to megacities. What would we then call Singapore, London, New York, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Munich, Barcelona etc You see this is my problem with Nigerians. Even in this day of internet where you can simply go on the web, type in "megacity" on google and see what comes up, we still have this ill-conceived notion that Lagos or any other city in Nigeria is a megacity. Dubai, a city in the UAE, fast and still developing, possibly at the very least 100 years ahead of Lagos, is still not satisfied with the level of exposure and development. They want to do more, they aspire to do more. The evidence of what they are doing and what they plan to do is there for all to see. You do not need to pay some unemployed fool (such as This OP) to go write a blog about the city, it is there for millions to testify to both now and for the foreseable future. Megacity without meaningful development. Transportation Zero. Quality Housing Zero. Airport Zero. Hospital Zero. Security Apparatus Zero. Ambience Zero. Roads Zero. Cleanliness Zero. But yet some fools will argue, i simply don't understand whether it is being gullible, stupid or a combination of both with an extra sprinkling of madness that is in vogue these days. We have got to start calling spades by their names. Lagos is a slum and Nigeria as a whole is a shithole. Our leaders both past and present have made it to be as it is and we the followers are not helping matters. PapaBaby: |
My quote of the day. majamajic: |
We can't even complete a standard 100km road in due time, on budget but suddenly we flirt with the idea of venturing into AI and Robotics. It is news such as these that shows you just how misplaced the priorities of our leaders are. 2019prophets: |
Please add Diya Street in Gbagada-Ifako between the link bridge, joining Gbagada to Bariga, and the Deeper Life Cathedral and even beyond. Our Politicians are wicked, callous animals that need to be killed. There is no trying to sugarcoat the matter and this is not about just roads alone but about their collective insensitivity toward the plight of the masses. It is only in Nigeria, that a foreigner gets treated better than the country's citizens. It is only in Nigeria, despite the resources we have, that we suffer as a result of lack of the very basic infrastructure. Other countries have moved and are still moving forward, we are going 10 times backwards whilst our population is exploding at an alarming rate. A 100km road will take 10 years or more to build at 10 times the actual cost. And all because of the wicked leaders we have and the stupid followership that persists. Lisaint: |
If you do not mind, i would like to work with you on these things. EMMAACHILE: |
Do you by chance know anyone that farms moringa for seed in South West Nigeria or the North? I would like to visit such a farm to see for myself first hand before I handover to the farm manager I intend hiring. The aggregator groups you mentioned do not buy for a reasonable amount for the farmer to make a suitable profit. From what I've heard and read it's around 800 to 1,200 per kg for the seed, I could be mistaken. Now that may be alot for inorganic farming, but for organic, that is not as profitable and I haven't seen or heard of the local price being different for organic and inorganic. Does this even count for the moringa seed trade? Thank you for your feedback, highly appreciated. EMMAACHILE: |
I have some questions regarding the moringa trade and I was hoping you could help. For one, what are the challenges common to moringa organic farming specifically as it relates to seed farming and two, who are these direct importers, the indian and chinese you guys often refer to on the thread. I'd appreciate a link up atleast before I commit all of my life savings into this. Thanks SocialJustice: |
Please I have a couple of questions if you will permit me; who are these Chinese and Indian businessmen? How can one meet them? Do you have any of such contacts? What are the prevalent market prices for the seed? I learnt there was a big crash in the price of moringa in 2007 to 2008, how true is this? Does the price of the leaves in anyway affect price of seed? When is the best time to sell to maximise reward? Are you familiar with when most people harvest in naija? I am also an intending farmer, 10ha, PKM1 (8ha) and Momax (2ha) and God willing I intend starting in November. So I am simply gathering information. EMMAACHILE: |
Please bro, I would like to make your acquaintance. It is in relation to this thread. I have just followed you, kindly follow back to enable us exchange info, thanks. SocialJustice: |
"Mandela was a terrorist?" Well if you had such a terrorist in your lineage, I guess you would be happy. You are obviously a mischief maker and a person of low IQ to label Mandela such. Agreed his freedom and presidency may have not yielded the required gain for his people, but to simply label him a terrorist and say attacks such as these were what landed him in jail, it makes me wonder if you were not part of that apartheid regime. The South African Military have the troops and equipment to level Nigeria. It is rumoured that SA is the only African Country to have nuclear weapons, please do not be foolish as to call for War with them. Mophasa: |
I couldn't agree more. Ojukwu and Gowon were part of the Aburi Accord which came after he met with Awolowo. After the Aburi Accord, Nigeria did not keep to its bargain, innocent Igbos were still being slaughtered up north even as they left the North in droves and made it back South East. So please tell me, how on earth do you expect that Ojukwu would have still continued to uphold his end of the bargain when Gowon was not holding up his end by protecting the innocent Igbos who were being slaughtered by the numbers. Ojukwu had no choice but to go to War. His hand was forced and he had to fight for the survival of his people. Remember, the Igbos were never the aggressors. The coup was purely a military affair and should have been handled as such. It should have ended when Ironsi and co were killed in reprisal attack instead Northerners started attacking innocent igbos for no reason whatsoever. The key takeaway for me from this interview is simply: that restructuring Nigeria is the way forward and if restructuring can not be attained, we have to split and go our separate ways, status quo is not sustainable we are only deceiving ourselves. And please as a sidenote, I am Yoruba through and through but I have the common sense to see a spade and call it such because I believe that the future good of my people, and the other people that make up this country Nigeria, is better guaranteed and assured in a restructured Nigeria than it is in the Nigeria of today. uduokirika1: |
The nicknames were just downright hilarious. One of them bears Giggs, as in Ryan Giggs. Hehehehehe nikkygal: |
By chasing away a Politician of their own ethnic extraction, please explain what problems have they caused? They should come back to Nigeria where their security and right to lead a peaceful protest is not guaranteed? Where Soldiers and Police will be deployed with "shoot on sight" mandate? You surely are a joker. I am from the SW and I support IPOB wholeheartedly. Atleast they are doing something and taking the fight to these bunch of thieves we call our leaders? What are you doing? All you do is come on social media platforms and criticise. You must be a paid online miscreant cos if you are not and you see how backward this country is, you will atleast cheer for IPOB and hope that Youths across other geopolitical zones will give their leaders the same treatment. Perhaps only then will the ruling class get the message cos every other attempt at communicating with the bastards we call leaders seems to be falling on deaf ears. This is how people post misleading comments all in the name of political correctness or patriotism and even more stupider people give "likes". Nbote: |
For this comment, I love you sir and I am Yoruba. God bless you sir. FortifiedCity: |
You have made zero sense from your post. It is obvious you are a paid miscreant coming on here to try to defend useless thieving politicians. I pity the likes of u who will gladly sell your soul for a plate of porridge. Please from recent IPOB attacks on Politicians, what ideas will South South Militants, BH and Fulani Herdsmen get into their heads? Maybe they will resort to attacking the bastards that loot us dry everyday and prevent this country from knowing any reasonable development. Or are you afraid that if they do there will be nothing for you to earn seeing as your paymasters will disappear one by one. You had better be careful, the likes of you are exactly the reason this country needs a revolution. You preach stupid senseless messages in the face of obvious provocation. The Government of Nigeria across various strata has been a disappointment to Nigerians and unless we start resorting to measures such as the one IPOB is deploying, I'm afraid things will not change. MobilityExpress: |
I'd love to agree with you on a number of points you raised but let's be honest Nigeria is a joke and thieves, tyrants and zealots rule us and they will continue until we do something about it. It's that simple. So I am sorry to say this but with the way things are setup, if Buhari could rule us, then Tinubu will rule us and even worse men will rule us until we the people intercede for ourselves. Amen Smithkafors: |
Exactly, Simmons is a PG which really isn't a PG. And Embiid is good and can be great but for his health. Let's see how it all unfolds but Warriors need a forward to compete. If the management is sure they'll land Giannis in 2021 then they may not rush off to trade DLo but if no assurances I'm sure they'll likely trade DLo this trade window. A40: |
Will D-Lo be traded eventually by GSW? Some random story floating around that they might swap him for Harris from the 76ers. Makes sense salary wise cos they earn about same and Harris will gel with Steph and Klay. Plus 76ers need a PG not Simmons who in my opinion does not play like a traditional PG. But it remains to be seen, I guess we will find out if D-Lo will be a much needed addition better than Harris will be. |
