No he is not and if you really think he is then you are really your nairaland name. Wilder is simply an average boxer with a great right hand that's all. He has zero boxing fundamentals and the only reason he made it this far in today's heavyweight division is because the division is packed with a bunch of uber drivers and hamburger sellers. He was never in the league of a Fury who has great ring IQ and a solid grasp of boxing basics. Wilder was lucky he survived Ortiz twice. Fury was coming off a lengthy break the first time and that was why Wilder chose him, he felt he was going to be a walk over. Wilder should go fight Whyte, Ruiz and Parker. Unfortunately for him, he has lost his big payday cos AJ is the money spinner of the division and he will have to beat Whyte and Ruiz before he can have a shot at the title again. SillyeRabbit: |

You are a crazy person honestly. There are no two ways to put it. How can you say Yoruba people as a whole, 40 million of us, hate Igbos? What has that got to even do with the obvious stupidity and crass ignorance being displayed by the Fulani Ruler in Aso Rock? Oh so, because APC is a Yoruba-Fulani Alliance, you really think all Yorubas are behind APC? Did you not see that the last elections were heavily rigged and if not, APC would have barely picked up 2 states in the SW? Are you trying to drum up old civil war sentiments, which clearly the some Yorubas have expressed regret? I do not know how else you want us to show that we do not hate you. You are right about Nigeria being a terrorist state but you are crazy to lump Yorubas with the Hausa-Fulani. This is why I as a Yoruba man has consistently said the best way forward is to split this God forsaken country. There are several Yoruba people who have consistently advocated for same restructuring or splitting of this country, it is to avoid crazy people like you who think everyone hates you. I do not know why you would wake up and make such a useless and senseless comment? No really you are a crazy person seeking attention honestly. And I think you need mental evaluation. goodnessme1: |
So please propose us a solution, a real workable solution, out of this conundrum. And kindly speak intelligently. Officialgarri: |
The so-called f**ing international airport wouldn't even qualify as a landing strip in any sane country. But then ours is a nation where mediocrity is the rule and not the exception. Also, I expect that the amount he spent would actually build a fully functional decent world class airport. Anytime you see leaders spending state resources on projects that their constituents do not really need, just know it's a means to an end for them. StagethemTVee: |
and I don't see how or why annihilating killer herdsmen is a bad thing. I have continued to say this. If the North does not join so that all can restructure Nigeria, the North will be left way behind when Nigeria is finally restructured. If they had any brains, they would lead the efforts now to restructure Nigeria and at the very least be in the controlling seat. But the Northern elite does not think. Neither do they understand anything except war. So if it's a war they want, then it is a war that the South should be prepared to give. |
Bro Trump's plan is 100% in Israel's favour. He is not encouraging both parties to seat at any table. You need to understand, the main bone of contention happens to be what he has decided to rule in favour of Israel. And as you know, the US is undoubtedly the single most powerful country in the world, militarily and economically. Whatever they say is almost as good as law. You see, all of this is very easy to stand from afar and talk about inasmuch as you are not affected personally. Imagine that some foreign power came tomorrow and carved a section of your land and gave it to some people saying they were by history the original owners of such a land. Then further imagine that you are now mandated by force to live with these people. Along the line, these people begun to have guns, tanks, a fully functional army and bit by bit they take up all of what you call your ancestral land. Ultimately you then become subjugated to these people until you are now forced to live like a slave in a land that is rightfully yours. I wonder what you would do, fight to claim what's yours or handle the matter with kid gloves. A UN resolution stated long back that Israel should stop expanding on land that was already agreed to be given to the Palestinians in the 67 accord. Israel has continued to break these accords and guess what, now they claim.all the land they have built upon is theirs. Land which was already agreed to by past Israeli govts to be for the Palestinians. Please be a fair judge and tell me if any of this is right. Palestinians have continually maintained that they'd like East Jerusalem to be their Capital, Israel wants otherwise, Trump supports Israel's stance so I wonder how Trump is encouraging both parties to come to the discussion table. cRobo: |
Just a word of advice not insult. It would be helpful to you if you could read and find out the real history behind the matter at hand today. Maybe if you do that and keep an open mind, you would educate yourself and people like you who know next to nothing about what is going on. It has nothing to do with who is Christian or Muslim. But I get that we as Nigerians love taking sides, it seems to be one of the few things we are good at. We love taking sides to the point where we forget the main issue and take sides, neverminding who is right or wrong, what is logic or not, it's just about my side versus yours. Uncle SAM continues to be the single most destabilizing factor across the world and specifically in the middle east. This has next to nothing to do with everyday Israelis, it has more to do with the Zionist regime inside Israel and in large parts within the USA pulling various levers and strings. It has more to do with American expansionist agenda to colonise the world and control its resources. This has been the trend since World War 2 ended. Things do not happen in isolation, everything is connected. Read, Read, Read and Learn, Learn, Learn. cRobo: |
See the logic of the lawmakers. If reducing our salaries will not solve problem of budget funding, then leave salaries as they are. Animals in human skin dem. |

Femi Falana has been a consistent critic if not the most consistent critic of government, from the military to the civilian regime. He has zero love for Tinubu and I do not think he is on his payroll. Although at times I feel like his career as a lawyer (having taken up dubious clients such as Jimoh Ibrahim a.k.a Corporate Virus) sometimes confuses his love for activism, but activism doesnt pay the bills and Nigerians do not even know who their heroes or villains are anyway. The poster of that message on facebook and similar messages fails to realise this and I actually sense a tinge of ethnic undertone to his sarcastic comment. We can all agree that Nigeria under Jonathan was not working. And we can also agree that Nigeria under Buhari is definitely not working. Trying to use fuel pump price as a pretext to making some kind of misguided comparison is downright mischievous. I agree some gains were made under GEJ, I'll be the first to point out that he was a complete gentleman and often tried to allow the rule of law follow it's due course. However, the economy was not working and it is still not working. Whatever made it seem like it was working under GEJ was due to high oil prices, when those came crashing down, we had a hard reset our realities. Nancy1986: |
The ex-governor in question is non other than Peter Ayodele Fayose. The world bank expert he refers to is the late Ayo Daramola who was killed in 2006 whilst building up momentum to run on the platform of the PDP against the erstwhile governor incumbent, Fayose. It could also be Gbenga Daniel and Dipo Dina but I have no pointers to the latter being a world bank expert at any point in time so my money is on Fayose. Anyone who grew up around the time I did in Ekiti knows Fayose had killer gangs but the truth is this is not peculiar to Fayose alone, almost every Politician has some sort of killer gangs, in the case of governors it's easier cos that is what they use their allocation for security votes for. |
Will Osinbajo join the March? Similar to asking if Buhari is a Christian. If Tinubu tells him to, I believe he will otherwise no use wasting our time wondering. |
First of all, he is not leader of Yoruba Muslim Group, he is the leader of "a" Yoruba Muslim Group. Secondly, Osun is not 95% Muslim, a conservative estimate would put it at 60-65%. MelesZenawi: |

This is why I have said many times without ceasing that it is best we split Nigeria and each go his/her separate ways. No nation serious about real progress and meaningful change/development has had to put up with such talk from some of its citizens. It is as clear as day that Nigeria is a Nation of many Nations, each with it's own hidden agenda. The little I know about Nation Building surely is that the citizens that comprise of the Nation should be homogenous to a large extent. Clearly, same cannot be said about Nigeria unless you are being paid by the same fellows that support this man who has made such a statement. Nigeria as it is currently constituted is a sham. It is meaningless and has no real future. The truth is Nigeria must either go back to its regional structure of government at the very least, or at best Nigeria must be split. If we the citizens of this country want peace and a chance for our children to have some kind of future, we must support either of these positions. Or else, we risk real consequences. |

Nigerians Nigerians Nigerians. She did not say Burna Boy lost due to his lack of education. She said Burna Boy lost due to education. I believe she meant education of the general wider western audience and the panel who awards the final winner. |
The prayer point should not be God blees Nigeria, it should be God split Nigeria. Why? Nigeria as it is currently constituted is evil. A cesspit. A trap. An endless abyss of waste, corruption and devilishness. If there is one thing I know about God, it is that he does not identify himself with evil. post=86198411: |
The bad weather caused the crash. In addition I believe human factor too. Maybe the pilot feeling he could fly while relying on his instruments or training (he was a trainer and trained to fly in foggy conditions). Maybe some occupants of the ill-fated chopper wanted to get to their destination by all means. Sad all the same. May their souls continue to rest in peace. |
I have been sad since yesterday when this news broke. This guy defined my teenage years heading into young adulthood. He was my Micheal Jordan and a great guy by most accounts who was driven to excellence and success. He ruled his generation and redefined what it was to be a Laker. The closest to Michael Jordan as Best Shooting Guard ever and widely regarded as a Top 5 at worst Top 10 Greatest of all time Basketballer. A huge pity we won't get to see his hall of fame speech. This is sad and could have been totally avoided as reports seem to indicate the crash was due to the foggy weather conditions around the location of the accident. May God rest his soul and those of the other co-travellers and grant his family the strength to bear the loss. |

This man represents the worst things you can imagine of any Nigerian politician. First he came out with a silly comment, then he felt the backlash and modified his stance. It is all to ensure his presidential bid is not thwarted. He has no position on any real issues and only uses any position he takes to his political advantage. This is a matter that affects the collective existence of the Yoruba people, the same people he claims to represent and lead. I get that politicians can and should play politics but I do not get how this should extend to matters that threaten people's very own existence keeping in mind these are the same people politicians such as Tinubu rob on a daily basis. It is sad really. I sure hope my people and Nigerians at large see this man for who he truly is. |
I love you man, no homo. My comment of the day. God bless you bro. A lot of insight in this comment right here. daddytime: |
