The top 4 positions are President, VP, SP and Speaker. For the first time in 2007, Igbos lost out in any of the top 4 positions plus party chairman. They were given both deputies as consolation.
NW - president
SS - VP
NC - SP
SW - Speaker
NE - Party Chairman

In 2011, President and VP got swapped between NW and SS, while SW sold the Speaker position which should have been occupied by Mulikat Akande to the NW (Tambuwal).

Grammatical blunders can be different from misspellings ...but in this case ,both are interchangeably playing the same role .

To start with, 'many' means a large number. How on earth does three imply a large number? Even among 10 samples, you can't call 3 a large number. If 3 words were misspelled in a write up containing over 70 words, does that imply 'many'? You can say she misspelled 'some' words but not many. Three can only be many among 5 or 6 samples.
Stop misusing words biko. Three cannot be many in that case.

That said, it was the op that wrote 'voted' in place of 'votes'. Check the screenshot of her tweet and see that she actually wrote 'votes' instead of 'voted', and that was the reason I corrected it. Even you the grammarian wrote 'vote' instead of 'votes', so perhaps you also have issues with spellings, judging you by your own standard.

I also mentioned that I corrected the 2 obvious spelling errors while copying the chat which were 'fingers' for finger and 'to' for 'too'. Even both errors are not serious misspelling errors because most people who write and fail to proof-read their write-ups before posting on social media can easily make such errors. I make similar errors sometimes and even have to edit the post again after the initial posting, whether on Nairaland or Facebook. Some people aren't that careful.

I am not a grammarian. I didn't study anything close to English Language in the university, but I know I am not bad with the language.

He said there were many MISSPELLINGS. Misspelling isn't exactly the same as grammatical blunder, and I made sure I kept highlighting the word 'misspellings' wherever I wrote it.

Talking about grammatical blunders, there weren't MANY of them like the person I quoted opined. Yes, it wasn't a perfect write up by Bisola, but I don't think the so-called grammatical blunders are that striking. Many Nigerian graduates today won't write better than she did.

You can take it upon yourself to correct her write up, show the corrections in bold, and let's compare it with the original write up. That's probably the best way to see the MANY grammatical blunders, and we'll know how significant the blunders are.

The issue is that Akpabio has lost all his bragging rights from Udom. He cannot get any benefit from him anymore cos he swore to remove him and failed. This is a common thing in politics when people break up with their godfathers. Even Obiano did the same thing to Peter Obi, and we saw how he worked against Peter Obi's interest in the presidential election.

Udom is a wise man. If he had defected with Akpabio, he might have lost his seat. Akwa Ibom people, just like the South East people are very sentimental about their support for PDP. So far, APC hasn't shown itself to be a neutral party that upholds the interest of the people of SE and SS, especially with Buhari as president, so the people of Akwa Ibom hate APC.
You say Udom would have done what Abdulfatah Ahmed did? So what did Abdulfatah achieve by decamping with Saraki? If he had stayed in APC, he would have won a senatorial seat in APC by now.

While i'm not so sure about the show being scripted, We are in Nigeria, Everyone compromises now and then.

How Nina for example ended up as a finalist or even got into the house beats me till today and oh! The auditions too, there is no way 20 people are selected from thousands by merit or chance. There's a lot more to it

If you're talking about her grammar and punctuations, it's a different thing entirely, but even at that, she didn't do badly at all.
That lady wrote better than many Nigerian graduates at the moment.

PS: I just realised the more accurate expression (though uncommon in Nigeria) is "not to bite the hand the fed/feeds you".

If president declare state of emergency in that state, the politicians, that are buying ammunition for these guys will be the one to cry out loud that they want to turn the state to anarchy. It has gotten to a state of terrible happenings recently and the politicians are using them, equipping them especially those in powers and in oppositions. Its so terrible thing my brother. Things are really getting out of control in this country faster than expected. imagine spreading to other major cities like this. But i wonder how ameachi was able to curtail their excesses when he was in power. The irony is that wike that served under ameachi and part of those that got solution then seems looking the other way now while the state turns to unrest.

Wike and Amaechi (the 2 demons in Rivers State) were in the same camp then, so there wasn't any battle for supremacy. Now they are in different camps, Amaechi still feels he has to revenge Wike for what he did to him in 2015. Until they reconcile or any of them loses power completely, peace may still be far from Rivers State.

In 2015, PDP lost to APC in the presidential election with about 2.6 million votes but won only 2 states in the North. 4 years later, they told us Atiku (a fellow northerner) lost to Buhari with even a greater margin, yet PDP has claimed 5 Northern states (and narrowly missed Kano cos of rigging by Ganduje).

It's not about PDP losing but the circumstances that led to the loss. If APC beats PDP fair and square like they did in Gombe, Plateau etc, nobody will complain.

That's one of the reasons why PDP is far better than APC. PDP is always sensitive about the balance of religion and geopolitical zones in power sharing.
