I agrre with you....From my research the Mi 28 is a dedicated attack helo...and its more advanced than the MI 35....Has better/stronger armor than the 35's, faster and has a better survival against handheld SAM's
jln115: Maybe the most sophisticated MIs in Nigeria but obviously not in the world(or Africa) ............since mi 28s exist.
SternProphet: When @SternProphet tells you domething, know there is a lot behind it. The AH 1Z was on the horizon before the Super Tucano. Trump has a policy of making money from weapon sales and American aerospace companies are bringing all sorts of upgrade deals out of the woodwork. They may even offer the AH 1W super cobra (not AH 1Z) free of payment for some years.
Are those yello "thing" in the first picture UCAV's?
jteku: Was at the airport again this morning and NAF still have their assets packed at the tarmac.... Was unable to get good picture(make one small soldier no embarrass me)
Dont think its up to a quarter Any new intel you got?
Stephandeswardt: I swear boko haram looted a quarter of nigerian army inventory.....even benin republic couldnt have fought BHT at its peak of strength.....jesus
Henry240: Meet Flight Lieutenant Nkemdilim Anulika Ofodile of the Nigerian Air Force HQ
She is the only female in the team of NAF's aerospace engineers who designed the Tsaigumi UAV, Nigeria's first indigenous operational remotely piloted aircraft commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, February 15 at the Nigeria Airforce Base Kaduna Kawo.
30-year old Ofodile holds a PhD in Control Engineering from the University of Leicester in England and she is happily married.
Love those rifles....what make? H&K? By the way congratulations to all South Africans!!!
Frumentum: "There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen." So said that thug Lenin. A presidency that should never have been, is seemingly a few minutes away from rightly ending in ignominy. That moment earlier today when the SAPS raided the co-conspirator Gupta family's compound, erecting tape and rightly saying, "This is a crime scene!"
Naaa....the boy is just a sissy....He's being antagonistic to Lionel4power....Very uncalled for
tdayof: The conversation made sense until you added the last sentence. Everyone has right to his or her opinion and you can't just shut him down.
Now about the weapons package : that doesn't justify the price. You should have noticed something fishy when $583m turned $484m later on. Plus the post said the reason for the high price is due to alot of middle men shit that I don't care about. Now, we are waiting for 2 years to get a Tucano when you can start receiving JF17s next year if we put our orders through china.
It's obviously not a good deal. I have always supported that deal before because I know it's better we spend $5b on 5 Tucanos that hearing missing $5b. However, the conditions attached to it is a huge turn off.
In other words Egypt can take on Ethiopia and Kenya combined?
Sizzorkay: And Kenya will do what? lol, we are talking about Egypt, your defense pact with Kenya or vice versa makes zero difference when it comes to war with Egypt, if you wanna fight some country with 5,000 troops then maybe lol
lionel4power: for any military to remain relevant today they have to adopt some form of advance technology for the sake of the future. technologies like:
++Battlefield integrated network ++Digital technology for individual soldiers ++artificial intelligence (AI) and lethal autonomous weapons system ++Algorithmically-driven social media ++Cyber warfare ++swarming drones driven by A.I ++Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented reality(AR) Technology ++Smart weapons based on the OODA (Observe, Orient, Decide and Action) loop decision cycles ++Predictive Analytics ++Space based weapons ++Embedded Technology ++Morphing Technology ++Sensor Fusion ++Bio weapons ++Exo skeleton ++Micro Drones ++ hypersonic weapons
many countries have started developing ALL of those. so by 2030 any country who have not invested in advance technology would be left behind.
We are aleeady at the Fouth Technology Revolution.
C of O, RC..or deed are all legal tender in Nigeria....Anyone of the mentioned is available in many States in Nigeria....If they are serious about getting land for Ranching anyone of these is available and legal tender....This would save lives and property
Ibrahimanis: Sorry, just confirmed, he proposed ranching but the problem is the implementation of anti grazing law before the ranches were established. The herdsmen are to buy the lands themselves, get C of O, as a Nigerian you know how tedious the process is, they complained the timeframe is too short yet he refuses to extend passing the bill into law. And really? Sambisa forest?
But Pointing fingers isn't going to bring back the dead or restore damaged properties, let's just hope they sort this mess out.
Please show me where Governor Ortom rejected Ranching(which to be is the best solution). Establishing grazing reserves would not work...Land in part of Nigeria is sacred.....Sambissa is a large swathe of Land...The herdsmen can go there
Ibrahimanis: To be clear, my arguments here are for for the innocent herdsmen. (unless of course if you believe all herdsmen are killers).
Here is what I don't understand, Gov. Ortom rejected ranches, colonies (which I will like to point out are just bigger ranches) I also watched on YouTube he told Aljazeera that there is no land in all of Benue for herdsmen. Is he saying all of them should leave Benue? What solutions did he propose to curb these conflicts? (I am genuinely curious).
And again when speaking of the North, specify which part of the North you are referring to. The north is as diverse as the south. And for you to say there is not differences between Hausa and Kanuri shows just how ignorant you are about north. The only thing they have in common is religion (unless if that's what you are referring to when you keep saying north)
Ghana just did same recently.....Don't mind the Nigerian government....dey are not ready to end this yet!!!
newafricaken254: in kenya when parstrolist communities start their shenanigan, law enforcers go after their cattle or camels.shot around 100 cattle or camels and they settle down
To Nigeria and South Africa especially....That's what we should be looking at.....We can fill the African market together...while meeting and surpassing our needs.....These Helo's would come in cheaper than any other available one's and importantly the monies spent on them stays in Africa......Therefore the UN/The West would have no choice but to purchase/support nations in Africa who have security challenges to get the Rooviak....It can be done
lionel4power: The economic, technical and political implications of collaborating with South Africans on a huge project like this would certainly be beneficial to all parties involved.
Video said MI-24....and i didnt see any special maneuverability...it just kept going round....Are our rockets in operation anywhere in the various theatres in Nigeria? I just said we need to buy at least 3 Rooviaks to TEST...they may end up performing better than what we have....no harm trying...and i still maintain our guys collabo with Denel
tdayof: The mi-35 has the manueverability you need for combat. You can watch the attached video.
What more firepower do you need?
If you want the Rooivalk for some other reasons then no problem.
We produce our own rockets already.
NB: strictly intelligent discussion and not an argument.
I believe that the Rooviak has better maneuverability. I also believe it can be fitted with more firepower...Also our guys in Lekki can do a crash course with Denel to enhance and then subsequently produce home grown rockets/missles
tdayof: Question: why should we get the Rooivalk? When the Mi-35M fits our requirements perfectly. The Rooivalk adds no special capabilities to our airforce.
Whats blasphemous in my statement? Its the truth..we need to buy a few and test run...it might in the long run be a cheaper Helo for us to run in Nigeria...
Until recently this was Mossad's motto. Nothing's changed, it seems. Now it appears we may get UN approval to sell Umkhonto GBADS to Iran, suddenly stories appear about terror plots involving Palestinians, Iran and South Africa.
I'll end this with another quote:
"Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we start to deceive."
