My brother if u were a babe i would have giving you a 1 week hug for your post. Please ignore all the insults you made Sense and the sense will last till kingdom gborodo...kudos a million for your post..It is Nigerians like you that we need a plenty to move this Nation forward

SLBM:
The list you provided justifies my point. It's not ignorance Oga Henry. You call re-eactivating two Bell Helicopters, maintaining C-130 aircraft, upgrading one UAV as part of the NAF question program? All the items listed can be sorted out with $500,000. I a, talking about the NIGERIAN AIR FORCEZ flying trainer aircrafts, a hand full of mediocre aircraft, zero interest in modernization en mass, zero intetest in air defense..all this despite a decade of war. C'mon is this the best Africa's wealthiest country and 5th biggest defense spender can do? Compare all the initiatives by the Air Force this year, compare that with the likes of our peers in economic power. Pulling a cotton ribbon ceremony for these projects is laughable. You realise this is 2018 not 1984. Thirty five years ago the nation could field a squadron of frontline high performance jets. Look at the Egyptian and South African Air Force. Neither of these countries have close to the resources available to this country. If its hard currency only Algeria beats us in Foreign Reserves. If its natural resources We are not in the same league. You realize this is Africa's first trillion dollar economy and the with 19th largest economy on earth with the 10th largest proven oil reserve whose value hovers around $4 trillion. Heck Lagos alone has Africa's 5th largest economy. You call me ignorant? We should all bow our head in shame rather than celebrate this mediocrcy.

Any word on the JF-17? negotiations and payment and renegotiation and part payment and an extra $1 billion in ars have been going on since 2014? Any idea when or if the THREE JF-17 will be delivered within the decade?

Bros, na this kind blind support be the major issue...Confirmed reports say cache of arms were carted...this was also shown in videos by the BHT...u dey hia dey launder this catastrophic failure....

iblawi:
Brother, you heard just like we all hear different things online. The truth of the matter is that we all believe when a military base is overrun weapons most be left behind.

What ever they left was nothing compared to what boko haram brought in. So its not really a big plus.

Like you are being robbed with guns and you are think the knife in your pocket will add to the robber's capability.

If those troops had the large cache of arms you claim they left, they wouldn't have retreated without a good fight.

We need Eeben and co. back....at least for a short while...
persius555:
Just like the previous government, this govt is too contented managing this war rather than bringing it to an end. I doubt if there is any town in Niger, Chad or Cameroon that BH currently occupies. Nigeria is the loose end. BH feels so comfy attacking our military bases rather than the neighbouring countries. This attack was carried out the same way our SF would have successfully raided BHT camp. They problably had prior information on how weak the base was.

NAF have their hands filled at this time of the year.

This time tomorrow, one would expect that gudumbali would be severely air raided.

The organizers Messed up. This has nothing to do with the government.

They should have prepared for the competition properly.
Local Flight issue,
Visa problem,
Accommodation wahala,
Athletes denied access to stadium, etc have nothing to do with the government but the organizers.

off topic :'This mess keeps getting messier': How this year's African Athletics Championships descended into chaos

Lagos, Nigeria (CNN)The 2018 African Senior Athletics Championships, ongoing in Nigeria, should have bolstered relations between the participating 52 African nations and showcased the country's abilities to host world-class events.
Instead, it has descended into chaos and seen countries such as Tanzania pull out of the games over what they say is poor organization and a lack of communication from organizers.
The games kicked off on Wednesday. However, many of the athletes were still hundreds of miles away from the venue, stranded at the Murtala Muhammad International airport in Lagos.

The Kenyan team had arrived in Lagos on Monday afternoon but did not leave for Asaba, where the games are being held in southeast Nigeria, until Wednesday.
Some of the athletes say they faced visa issues and others were forced to camp at the airport because there were no connecting flights.Photos of top African athletes sleeping on the floor surrounded by their luggage at the airport were posted on social media, sparking anger. Athletics Tanzania decided to pull out of the competition after hearing about the chaos, its secretary said.
Major events, including the women's 100-meter race scheduled for the first day, were postponed because of organizing problems, organizers Confederation of Africa Athletics. or CAA, said The stranded Kenyan athletes eventually traveled to Asaba on Wednesday morning, where they competed in the 10,000-meter race on the same day.
Kenya's sports ministry has reacted furiously to the way its athletes were treated and said it would petition the world body, the International Association of Athletics Federation, and the CAA.
Some have questioned Asaba's preparedness to host the competition, which serves as a qualifier for the IAAF Continental Cup in Ostrava, the Czech Republic in September. "It is beyond our comprehension why Asaba was given the rights to host an event of this caliber without putting into consideration the logistics around the connecting flights. As a country, we are disappointed we have to go through this kind of treatment, and we intend to petition the IAAF and the CAA over this kind of confusion," Kenya's chief administrative secretary for sport, Hassan Noor Hassan, said in a statement.
Wesley Botton, chief sports reporter for The Citizen newspaper in South Africa, tweeted that he didn't have a hotel room nor media accreditation to enter the stadium. "No hotel rooms available and no accreditation for us to get into the stadium, less than an hour before the start of the African Athletics Champs. This mess keeps getting messier. That's my grumpy face #Asaba2018," Botton tweeted.
Although, he later added on Twitter that "after a horribly, wobbly start. The local organising committee really pulled through today at the African Championships in Asaba. With all the criticism they've received, glad to see them reacting and pulling up their socks. Great day of athletics."
Tanzania pulls out
However, the turnaround was too late for the Tanzanian team, which decided not to take part in the games on Thursday.
Athletics Tanzania's secretary Wilhelm Gidabuday said the team made the difficult decision to back out because of concerns over a lack of information about visas.
Gidabuday said immigration letters that would guarantee its athletes a visa on arrival in Nigeria were sent a day before the championship.
"When the letters were sent, it was even sent via Whatsapp and not email. We saw what happened to the Kenyan team and we can't risk that happening to our athletes. We will wait 'til next year to compete," Gidabuday said.
He said even though athletes were supposed to register online for the biannual championship, his team's officials traveled to Nigeria three weeks ago to confirm its participation.
"The website was not working, so we traveled to Asaba because we were so keen on participating. We are not angry, but we are disappointed," Gidabuday added.Tanzania's absence at the championship scuttles the team's chances of competing at the 2018 IAAF Continental Cup later this year.
But local organizing committee chairman Chief Solomon Ogba at a media briefing Thursday in Asaba said the Tanzanian team confirmed their participation and travel plans at the competition late.
"Their decision to be in Nigeria was a late one by them, and that was what affected them. Technically, they were not registered and so it cannot really be classified as withdrawal," Ogba said.
According to Gidabuday, he registered five athletes when he visited Asaba in July.
"I registered them right there in Asaba in July. Why would I have come to Asaba?" he said.
"It's not my home. We are not there because the organizers did not send visa invitations on time," he added. link https://edition.cnn.com/2018/08/03/africa/african-athletics-championship-chaos/index.html

u really don't sound intelligent for someone with a high IQ and upper class housewife mentality. i emcourage you to read about barlow's and his team' achievemwnts. B4 sttep's contract expired, they explained to military /security forces what to expect from the enemy. suicide bombings, ambushes etc. so far, military authorities haven't being able to tackle this issue decisively. 2nd, they (barlow 's team) never went on the offensive alone. they had nigerian troops with them. guys that they trained and got mission ready in less than 3 months. Mr barlow has also stated clearly that African military doctrines were basically copied from the us and European militaries; particulary ww2 doctrines designed to counter the nazis. with such doctrines, how can we actually succeed?the successes recorded by sttep and the 72msf cannot be over emphasized. this war is dragging on for too long,if we don't act decisively now,it'll take decades b4 we can end it.b4 u jump at a comment and vomit bile next time,do understand what the post is about b4 making your comment.

Story....When BH releases video of the attack they would now look STUPID!!!!

Henry240:
PRESS RELEASE

UPDATE ON THE ATTACK ON SOLDIERS BY BOKO HARAM IN BAMA

1.The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to news making the round alleging attack on soldiers and capturing of military vehicles by Boko Haram in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

2. The Nigerian Army wishes to state categorically that the report is not only untrue but misleading as the said report is blown out of proportion by the media.

3. Contrary to the report, the Nigerian Army wishes to put the record straight on the issue and assure members of the public particularly residents of the North East to disregard the report as their safety is guaranteed.

4.The Nigeria Army wishes to state that there was an attempted attack on troops at Kwakwa and Chingori communities in Bama area of Borno State by suspected Boko Haram Terrorists as a result of difficult terrain where our vehicles bugged down. The terrorists also attempted to cart away troops operational vehicles, but were successfully repelled by our gallant troops with the support of the Nigerian Air Force.

5. About 22 members of Boko Haram terrorists were neutralised while several others escaped with gunshot wounds. Efforts are being intensified by the troops to get the fleeing members of the Boko Haram terrorists.

6. Unfortunately, one officer and a soldier sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention at the military medical facility.

7. While the Nigerian Army would not join issues with the media, certain facts must be reported with caution particularly now that numerous successes have been recorded by the troops in the fight against insurgency.

8. Members of the public are hereby advised to disregard the report and go about their legitimate businesses as the Nigerian Army is on top of the situation.

9. It is my well-thought-out opinion that in future, media practitioners should endeavour to verify facts from the appropriate military authority before rushing to the press.

10. Thank you.

How did a simple honest question degenerate into this? I believe i asked the question...and i am satisfied with the answer

nemesis8u:
This is what u wrote

I asked for those specific data because of what u wrote above.

I thought that the data regarding j-10 which I had asked for is available to u ie u had access to publicly available info. Internet is vast, lots of things available publicly but not everyone is able to find them.

Without those data how where u able to compare between any 2 aircrafts in terms of atleast kinematic performance huh

The confidence u showed gave me the hope that u had access to all those relevent data embarassed

Importantly how am I supposed to know that u compare military systems as complex as fighter aircraft's based on publically available Wikipedia data undecided tongue undecided

Lesson learnt
