... December 2020, I got a call from one of those companies I had sent my CV to for unsolicited jobs. The first thing the lady (who is currently my boss) told me was, I saw your CV and I like it. It sounded like I heard Joe Biden telling me to pack my luggage and come to the United States.
she wasn't the HR but somehow my CV got to her and my experience was relevant to the department she's heading, she did a mini interview for me to feel my weight right on the phone. She asked how much I was willing to take as salary I mentioned but her response to me suggested I fumbled on that part. so I took my mind of it and continued with my blind firing.
My people , May 2021, I received an email from the organization's HR for a virtual 45 min interview. I had 3-4 days to prepare. I prepared like it was an interview to enter Heaven. I have never prepared for interview like that in my life. The d-day came, 45mins of virtual interview was like 5mins. Adequate preparation paid off really well. And of course God was 100% in control. I was asked how much I'm willing to take. I mentioned and there was no arguments/negotiations. 3weeks after the interview, I got an offer beyond my surprise. This included a very comprehensive HMO for wife and four kids.
I resumed the job July 2021 with probationary period of 6 months. The 6 months will be ticked this January 2022. Guess what? Another surprise that happened.
December 31st 2021, I received a promotion letter while still on probation. I am dazed till now.
Let me also add that it's a remote job. I work right from inside my house with my boxers.Lol

My fellow Nigerians job hunting, I understand the pains you're going through. The pains of rejections, the pains of failing that interview, The pains of joblessness itself. The pains of being broke. I have been through it. Please don't give up, Don't relent. Trust the process, and carry God along. Change strategies, take certifications, do volunteer jobs, you can as well take unpaid internship jobs and be intentional about making the best of the experience. And don't forget, let your CV be a verb and express quantifiable results you achieved.
This year, you'll get your Congratulation letter for that job.

Yes, apostle Stephen was stoned to death, but you know what happened when he died. It may not even be the first attempt at his life, but when he eventually died, Jesus stood up for him to bear witness of him. The same Jesus apprehended Paul who was behind his death, and warned him to stop such.

Apostle James was killed but you know what happened to the man who killed him afterwards. He was eaten up by worms. Many other apostles were also killed as Peter and Paul, but do you know how many attempts were made on their lives and how many times God delivered them?

John wasn't killed not because no attempt was made on his life, but because of the remarkable miracle God did to keep him alive after they tried to kill him.

How many of today's Christians would God go to that extent for? How many Christians of today who are killed, are really dying for Christ's name and His Gospel sake and not just being lip servants?

Persecution is part and parcel of what comes with Christianity as Jesus so i myself, might also be eventually killed for Christ's name and Gospel sake, but it's only when God permits such to happen. So unless that happens, He would keep me alive and keep protecting me from evil as He did the apostles.

As I said earlier though, kindly keep your word of me losing a fan. I hope those like you still following me would follow suit. I was having a discussion with my hostel mate at the top roof of the building, when we noticed a dude hopping to a hideout.

Initially, we thought he was being chased by some bad bois, then I noticed this dude kept running out from a particular point to the hideout anytime a vehicle or any human figure appears.

The kiosk is along the road, my guy was insisting that he was being chased, giving me a lot of points to ascertain his claim. I was like no if a person is being chased, there is no way the person will keep going to a particular place and later come out and go to the same place he ran from, obviously this dude is a thief!! Trying to steal. The time was between 12:05-12:58.

Few minutes later, this thief came out with some stuff from the kiosk's direction to the same hideout. He dropped it and move back to the kiosk direction. We couldn't see how he was taking this things out because, our view from the roof top to the kiosk is obstructed by some elements of a building and we were abit far from the point where he was doing this.

We were watching until something happened, this dude came back to the hideout, eating some stuff and he was having something with him like a bread or something. He sat down and he was eating from his loot.

As he was doing so, it was as if his luck was about to run out, a patrol of two vigilantees, came around and was flashing their torches around the place.

There were two things that would've happened.

1. If they(vigilantes) enter the street where the hideout of the dude is, they would've caught him.
2. If he(thief) had seen them, he would've ran and be shot dead.

On the other side, me and my guy was watching and we were contemplating if we should raise an alarm, we reasoned it. If we do now, the dude will try to run, thereby he will be shot, these vigilantees are absolutely merciless.

Beside dude was like he had not eating for days, as he was stealing, he was eating. I had a pity on him. I am very sure he is a student.

These vigilantees instincts was actually telling them something but they were too lazy or should I say they don't really care to go and check out the street opposite them, they were just flashing the torchlights all over the place but was reluctant to check out the place. They left and kept moving forward to the next junction. Leaving the thief to complete his mission.

After few minutes on the dinner, he got up and pack the other loots in a bag and took off.
All this happened within 1hr(12:05-58)

I was like "did I just do this"? How did I allow a thief to go scot free.?

Sorry to disappoint you guys, I can't stand someone being killed because I raised and alarm over stealing.. Many things might have been for the thief though, maybe he has not eaten for days, I don't know but I pray one day he will be caught.. If he still repeat it again in my presence, I won't hesitate to call the vigilantes on him.

I understand your annoyance, but I will say you should give it a last chance before selling off, you just bought this car and you should not sell it immediately at a loss, repair and use it for like a year so that you when you sell it cheaply, you will know that it has served you.

Don't just conclude like that. Cars are very expensive these days except you have enough money to add and buy a very nice car. I am sure that engine can still be salvaged, but if it is beyond repair, buying an engine or rebuilding the engine is cheaper than buying a new car.
NB: Next time you want to buy a car, pls go with a reliable and competent technician, not the type that will conspire with seller to dupe you or the one that will make you buy lemon so that you can become his regular customer.

I got a corolla 2004 Nigerian used which a mechanic certified ok. The issue was that the exaust produces a white smoke which the mechanic said when it's serviced it will be ok.

Another issue started when someone drove the car because I don't know how to drive . Immediately he started the car, he said my engine is bad hence I can't use the Ac . Another mechanic was called and the mechanic said my engine is bad that I need to replace it but I can still learn n drive the car around pending when I have money to replace engine. Am so mad and confused right now.

Please what can be don aside changing engine . Pls help me

cyborg123 may be right. Don't conclude on buying a new engine yet. You need to take the car to a certified professional for proper diagnosis and more investigations. From what you describe, it looks like the car has overheated in the hand of previous owner and head gasket is burnt already, it's likely water (coolant) is entering the engine hence the white smoke. Take the car to a competent technician for proper checking and if there is no solution, you can start thinking of new engine.
