benvivi: @op , from your responses is so obvious ur mind is made up on this divorce issue so no matter d advice people give, you will never heed to it. be reminded that patience works out humility . your test and ability to overcome all this marital mountains shows how great a leader you are. your story is not straight both of you are just doing what you like without considering the kids. who is the head? you, who is the captain of this warship? you, my dear is not easy but you have to take charge . if you say and conclude in your heart that this marriage must work i bet it will work out but if u are filled with the negative feelings which is shown then is over. why give up on her when God never gave up on you, think about the times u did smtin wrong to her and she forgave u, the first time u set ur eyes on her the force that pushed to say hello to her, think those things that made u believe you can spend the rest of your life with this woman. i married one of the most difficult woman to ever please , at times i felt like staying away and she would just stay dat way without bothering herself where i was. i decided i was gonna quit but my first son made me realize i have work to do in this marriage, my wife is those overly ambitious ladies, neat to a fault, an extrovert, defines almost everything even when you look at her, picks quarrel at slightest provocation, classy ya this was our problem i don't believe in class so she sees me as old fashioned my opinion makes no sense at home that was our problem. we fought , quarreled and the kids watched. she earns well and i do earn well too i called my pastor to tell him am done with this marriage and he said he wants to hear from her and she said the same thing. i started working towards judicial separation and i stormed a christian literature that is title the POWER OF A PRAYING HUSBAND after going through it i understood that even if she doesn't want the marriage i will make it work for my kids to learn that when the grow up they marry to stay with their spouse forever and problems show in their marriage the gonna allow God settle it. then i started praying and working on it my friends didn't understand it they saw it as stupidity , i ran away from the slightest argument , i blanked my heart from her negative traits my dear to cut the long story short a night came as i was sleeping i felt someone sobbing in my room to greatest surprise my Almighty wife was down on her knees in-front of my bed seeking for my forgiveness. my dear brother prayer changes situations try itin love with this post. |
every day i lose hope for marriage when i read posts like this but then again O.P i ask is God involved in your marriage? i have never been married so i cant preach to you but my bible says: "unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it" . i dont know what your religious beliefs are but it is clear that you have labored on your own to save your marriage and it has not worked. God instituted marriage and it is not His will for any to divorce therefore trust in God right now, take your problems to Him with sincerity. "the heart of the king is in the hands of the Lord". God can touch your wife's heart. "remove the log in your own eye so you may see clearly to remove the speck in your brothers eye". you may have faults that are hidden even to you. let God reveal these and deal with them. "there is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end of it is destruction". what you are about to do may not be the best even though it may seem that way. i beg you to seek your solution in God. in conclusion i guess marriage really is a struggle in which case take courage soldier! adahib: I still don't know where people get this notion that every beautiful woman has a bad heart and every ugly one is very kind-hearted.trust me when I say that I've seen beautiful women with beautiful hearts and vice-versa. call me greedy if it makes you feel better but I prefer a beautiful woman with a great heart.i know a woman just like this ![]() |
Boss13: I recently met a lady who doesnt stay in Lagos and she just traveled to her place of aboard by road. I was asking her to visit me and she told me to sent flight money.guy the fact that she had to do it once does not mean that she enjoyed it. i agree with the topic of this thread but this your post is ridiculous. no offence. if she couldnt afford an air ticket the first time is that good reason for her to go back on the road just because of you especially wen u are the one inviting her? |
the central issue of feminism and indeed most other forms of rights activism is the perception of equality. the application of the adage' "whats good for the goose is good for the gander". on surface this sounds logical, rational and natural but then the question i ask is this: why then do we have a goose and a gander rather than a race of geese or ganders? the truth is that whats good for the goose may not always be good for the gander however this does not imply inequality. we as a specie have been built to play different roles in ensuring our collective survival but the agenda od equality threatens the stability of society. @ Ogugua i disgree with you wen you talk about the issue of abortion and women having the right to do what they want with their bodies. the question is, is an unborn baby a part of its mothers body?? if you say it is then the debate opens up to a whole new dimension, just how responsible should parents be for their children? why are fathers required by law to provide welfare for their kids? responsibility towards children must not only begin once they have been delivered. it must begin from inception and does not only stop at abortion prevention but goes must include the prevention of harmful behaviors such as drinking and smokin in the mother prior to delivery. our rights end where another's begin and therefore you lose the right to do what you want to do with your body when you make the decision to engage in behavior that is by nature designed to produce another life. your right to do wat yu want with your body ends at the point where the right to life begins for your precious baby. but how do we deal with the issue of legitimately unwanted pregnancies i.e rape? abortion is not the key. i strongly recommend that the state take responsibility for proven cases of abortion, support the mother and if after delivery she still chooses to reject the helpless baby then the state should take up full responsibility for the child. going back to the issue of doing what you want with your body i again ask a question: should suicide be legalized? if you do not have the right to kill yourself then what right do you have to kill something...someone that is only partially part of you? |
sKeetz: Dunno hw you guys afford the time to compose this long boring epistles.no you are right we were all taught "summary" back in school just like you were but we were also taught composition and more importantly, comprehension. what about you? |
there is absolutely nothing beautiful about this woman to me. i personally know tons of girls who are FAR more beautiful than her talkless of the real miss worlds of our generation. i know arab girls far more beatiful than her, a few naija girls far more beautiful than her, and tons of other african girls far more beautiful than her. wer is the beauty in that womans pic the first place i am also shocked that some fairly elderly folks, probably married with kids, are uploading their pics on this thread... very sad...very very sad. |
pretty funny.... tola must be the eldest. kinda sweet how the guy runs to wifey... some seem to think he was pissd wiv her as well but in the background you can hear him call her "iya" so clearly not the case. very funny the guy yells a lot but he never actually looks like he is gonna hit anyone. and the best part is "what's wrong with the camera". i think at that point he's realized he's just been had. |
dstiva99: I'm a nigerian born, american raised woman who has been dating this guy on and off for two years now. He was raised in nigeria and came to the u.s. about 5 years ago. We dated for about 4 months and then broke up for a year because he said "he didn't know where his life was going and whether he was going to even stay in the u.s." His life began to get settled and we got back together over the last 6 months. Now that we are back together and solidly for the last 6 months, and since my mom was in town, I suggested that he come by to meet her. He said he would try and he is very busy in a PHD program where he has to study all the time to make sure he is not kicked out of the program so I understood. Then a few days went by and I reminded him that he should come by because my mom was only going to be around for a short while, he said he had forgotten she was around but that he couldn't meet her because he had to go out of town at the last minute for a wedding. I said, wow you are going to a wedding and I wasn't invited? He said he decided to go last minute and he did not bother inviting me because my mom was in town He said he would meet her next time she was in town and that since we are moving into the same housing neighborhood in a few months, we are going to be neighbors so he was sure he would see her sometime soon. I confronted him for making excuses and said if he didn't want to meet my mom, he should just say so. He claimed that wasn't it, but I'm not sure. He knows how much my family means to me, why would he avoid meeting my mom? Is that a sign he is not serious about the relationship? He is someone I could see marrying but we have not talked about it. Why would he get back together with me after a year, and why would he be willing to buy a house in the same neighboorhood as my house if he isn't serious? I just don't understand his behavior, its confusing and it is something I would like to sort out before he becomes my neighboor, can't imagine him living next door to me and we are not together.dunno whether or not he is serious about you sista but if yur account as written above is accurate then yo man lied. if the reason he didnt invite yu to the wedding was specifically because your mom is around then that means he couldnt possible have forgotten that she was around. he lied. |

A new word is to be added into the oxford English dictionary. “Robinvanpersie” Noun. 1. a wild beast which has been found impossible to tame 2. an unstoppable creature with a tendency of doing the unimaginable at the least expected moment Usage ”satan is a nuisance but I will show him that I am a “Robinvanpersie” Verb. 1. To annihilate suddenly and mercilessly, without warning or prior notice, manifesting vicious class and a rapacious desire to completely devour the flesh of ones opponents. 2. To score whenever you feel like, however you feel like against whomever you feel like thus demonstrating complete mastery of ones craft. Usage:” Boko Haram is an enemy of progress but I am going to robinvanpersie them”. Adjective 1. The state of being an indomitable conqueror, fearless and without peer. Usage: “david is such a great warrior, he subdued the fierce spirits of the dark forest robinvanperisieshly” Etymology: derived from the dutch hero Robin Van Persie who played for Manchester United in the year 2013. There were many great players in the English premier league at that time and Manchester united’s dynasty was threatened by the upsurge of a local rival band known as the “noisy neighbours”. Over the past two decades king Fergusons right to rule had been challenged by a number of renegade gangs particularly the red Merseyside scousers, the russian blue boys, the a r s e gunners and other lesser known elements. Sir Alex Ferguson reached his boiling point; completely frustrated with the rebellion, the dreaded warlord of Manchester then unleashed “the Dutchman”, Robin van Persie, upon the premier league. The result was sheer havoc as Manchester united smashed their way to a dominant title victory. The noisy ones were silenced and order was restored to England. Robin Van Persie remains a legend to this day. Synonyms: ThierryHenry, FatRonaldo, shakazulu, adolfhitler. |
i would have thought all of these were blatantly obvious? list making is now a job abi? no problem |

HotNaijaBabe: Hmmmmn..at ur line of thought.Y'know, sometimes, I wonder why Jesus chose to die for a race that 'could' end up not believing in true love.lol cuz Jesus is God?? its not like i dont belive in tru love tho, i just done believe that true love necessarily entails dying for someone or kneeling down for them for that matter. |
nichole2 i am sorry if i offended you with my post. |
HotNaijaBabe: Hide behind ur monitor and act like superman, u hear!hehehehehehe...thats the catch... dr aint no such thing unfortunately |
used to be as mad as anyone about the game and im pretty sure ive done very unimaginable things for football. e.g quit a job cuz i was called to work on saturday and united were playing at that time. now i was a teenager devoid of responsibility at the time which has changed now and i see that its very unreasonable to be addicted to anything and the fact that so many other men are like that simply does not justify this. if football controls you this much then unfortunately football is your master which would be sad. some can postpone weddings for a game?? really?? that i quite sad... it shows a deep level of selfishness and immaturity which seems to be quite pervasive in our society and leaves me inclined to believe that that we simply are not ready to make progress as a people. |
milehigh06: which grapevinethe way some people think causes me deep pain honestly....imagine, grapevine indeed. |
