MisterGrace: But this protest is for all well meaning Nigerians.
I don't know how old you are, but this your statement does not make any sense.
Oh I see, it is IPOB that were not protesting for their own well being? Nigerians and their double standards. When it is revolution now, you remember freedom of protest. When it is IPOB, you forget it.
mindtricks: What's it with IPOB and this now? People should be free to protest peacefully a system and governance that is not working, it shouldn't be a crime.
Oh, people should be free to protest? Its incredible how Nigerians forget that fact when it is IPOB
Sirfemisky: You guys keep complaining they you are being denied your right yet you hate yourselves. You will kill or plot for the downfall of your own brothers. Yet you keep crying you are being cheated. Check other tribes they love themselves and are ready to help themselves except you igbos. Why?. Hausa and Yoruba are ready to help their own succeed. But you igbos the moment you see your fellow progressing. You will do everything humanly possible to bring him down but why igbos?
There is no tribe that loves its self like Igbos. No tribe helps its brothers like Igbos
It doesnt matter the size of our Army or our arsenal, you cant force people to live together in an unjust society. You know, you people are looking at Nigeria from the point of Biafran agitation. I tell people, a lot of Nigerians have mentally seceded from this country. They are just here, they are not part of Nigeria, they are not just in Biafra, they are in Lagos, they are in Kaduna, they are in Kano. They dont like this country, the country is not working for them, the country can't send their children to school, cant provide them with hospitals to even treat the easiest ailments to handle. The roads cant take them to their destination, the markets dont provide profit anymore. So a lot of people have left this country
Mivici: Life is tough here, bad roads, hunger, lack of good paying job, nepa wahala, Fulani, Boko Haram, village people me seriously I won't come back to Nigeria in my next life
Some of us dont want to wait until the next life, some of us have already rejected Nigeria as our country
Goodmarlian: If northern Nigeria decides to secede from Nigeria today will one Nigerianist fight to keep them in Nigeria?.patrotic Nigerians are needed here , if so which region will lead the front?.. since Nigeria is indivisible.
If the North decides to secede today, not one person shouting "one Nigeria" today will open their mouth
freeborn02: No, the igbos started the military rule problem in Nigeria. They must be made to eat the fruit of their labour
Oh really? And who carried on conducting military coups like there is no tomorrow? The same people who say Igbos did this and that have been running Nigeria since 1966, commited several coups wrecked Nigeria. lNigeria has had 20 years of democracy, where is Nigeria today? Nigeria is going to break up, no failed country lasts forever
ezenwajosh: The ones fighting for Nigeria are being shot at the back by their own soldiers
The soldier that speak up about what is happening in military is locked up
About 500 Nigerian soldiers resigned willingly
BUT SOMEHOW NNAMDI KANU WHO IS LEADING BIAFRA EXIT IS A MORE CONCERN TO JUNIAD AND DUMB CITIZENS BUT THE MILITARY PROTECTING THEIR ONE NIGERIA IS BEING SHOT AND LOCKED UP
YOU SEE HOW A NIGERIAN IS MEANT TO REASON?
EVEN THE NIGERIANS THAT CALLED HIM BRAVE SOLDIER COULDNT EVEN PROTEST HIS LOCK UP
Thats how you know that Nigeria is full of foolish people. Rather than dare the Nigerian army to defeat Boko haram after almost 10 years, rather than dare the Nigerian Police to combat herdsmen menace, rather than dare the Nigerian security forces to go after all the armed bandits out there, he is daring an unarmed man like Nnamdi Kanu, who is leading an unarmed movement, to come to Nigeria and fight
Many Northerners like Junaid Mohammed can no longer go to their villages due to huge number of armed bandits roaming the North. But here he is daring an unarmed man to return to Nigeria and fight. His problem is Kanu
freeborn02: And don't forget that igbos only decided to separate from Nigeria 6 months after the Igbo planned coup failed.
The thought of Biafra wouldn't have come up if the January 1966 coup had persisted for decades.
So, the idea of Biafra was bourne out of selfishness, arrogance and greed of the planners.
Whether the idea of Biafra was bourne out of selfishness, greed and arrogance, the bottomline is that anyone is entitled to leave any association they are part of, for whatever reason.
Goodmarlian: If another man arises Tommorow they will still criticise him, no matter how diplomatic you are you cannot be loved by Nigerians as long as you mention the word biafra..
Of course. When Uwazurike was leading MASSOB, he was diplomatic, didnt use harsh words, reached out to people across the country. You know what they did to him? They cursed him out, locked him up multiple times, shot and killed his men. Uwazurike even suffered more than Nnamdi Kanu because he chose to be a gentleman in a country that has no respect for gentlemen.
Goodmarlian: biafran soldier my ass how old is he? If he truly fought in the war he should be older than this even the child soldiers should be in their 70s or 80s freedom is coming. a war that was fought 60 years ago...oga collect your bride and go once we get independence we shall put you all in your place...
whirlwind7: Hehehehe. You know what? If you're that confident about SS willing to be lumped into a Biafra, then do a simple check.
Go to the "Rumu" towns and villages of the Ikwerre clans and mention it publicly that it is a good thing the Ikwerre people are identifying as Biafrans. Do this at various gatherings like in churches, markets, hangouts and relaxation joints etc.
Just try it. Put your money where your mouth is. Then come back and truthfully tells us the reaction from the people...that is, if you make it back in one piece
Dont be so sure of that, below is a video of Ikwerre people pledging allegiance to Biafra
Kentursky: Ebus Pharmacy in Port Harcourt that now sells Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate for N50,000 is owned by an Igbo man. The drug was previously sold for N2500 but since that doctor in the US said the drug cures COVID-19, the pharmacy made over 1000% increment.
Is that how Biafra will turn into Dubai in a matter of time if the secession happens?
Biafra my ass! Mind you, am Igbo from Anambra state.
What you just said is happening all over the country. As soon it came to light that hydroxychloroquine could be used to treat Covid 19, it was hoarded and the price jacked up
UniqueDennis: Sometimes i have wondered which language Nigeria or Nigerians would have adopted as its formal lingua franca if we were colonised like a few nations in Africa like Ethopia for instance..
Considering that Nigeria is a highly ethnically diverse nation with also a proportional number of complex languages, it would seem plausible that we would have adopted a common foreign / local language due to our diversity...
But which language would that have been? English, French, Spanish, German, Swahili or one of our local languages like Hausa... And if we hadnt adopted any lingua franca for instance, how would the absence of not having a common language or lingua franca affected the way we interacted with each other especially during inter-tribal marriages and out general way of life as a nation...
Just want to get a public opinion on this.. thanks
If we had not been colonised, there would have been no Nigeria
Ikwerre has no link with the Igbos until 16 century when the white men started bringing Igbo labourers from the east to work in Ikwerre land.
That would not be possible, the white man was not in Ikwerre land in the 16th century or even the 17th century. The colonization of the area now known as Nigeria did not start until the early 18th century when slavery was banned.
Besides, why would anybody need to go somewhere to get labourers to work Ikwerre land when the Ikwerres themselves are there? What was this incredible thing that was been built in Ikwerre land that needed the importation of labour?
Lets even assume that there was need for additional labour to build something in Ikwerre land, why didnt the white man go for Ijaws and Ogonis who are nearby?
