Igbo is a tough language to learn, thats why most non Igbos cant speak the language. To be able to speak Igbo in its correct tone, you have to be speaking the language early in life. It will take a lot of hard work for someone in their 20's or more to learn to speak Igbo fluently.

Of course you have to compare Kanu with what obtains in Nigeria. An Igbo man who is doing business in the North has nothing to fear from IPOB or Kanu, he has everything to fear from all the armed bandits roaming the North. The people of Nimbo in Enugu state have nothing to fear from IPOB or Kanu, they have everything to fear from the killer herdsmen massacred 20 people there in 2016. The people of Awgu, who are mainly farmers, have no fear that IPOB will go and destroy their farms, they are crying that their livelihood has consistently destroyed by armed herdsmen. In Ohaozara in Ebonyi, they now sleep with their two eyes open, not because of IPOB or Nnamdi Kanu, but because they are routinely massacred by armed Northern elements. The list is endless.

So if you ask people who are being killed, displaced, raped and marginalised if Nnamdi Kanu has brought shame to them, they will look at you as if you are a fool. Other groups are out there killing people, burning down communities, raping women, destroying livelihood, taking over peoples lands, and you are asking about an unarmed Kanu who only has his mouth? Haba!

Usually I'm the last to be perturbed by sociopolitical inclination or even indoctrination of a people, so long it doesn't pose any real danger to me and my loved ones. It's a free world.

Personally, I feel the only difference between this organization and renown terrorist organizations, is basically access to weaponry. Fundamentally, they share certain traits.

What amazes about you Nigerians is that you have have several armed movements out there from Boko haram to killer herdsmen to Niger Delta militants to bandits in the North, all armed and killing people daily. But the headache of some of you is unarmed IPOB that has no proven case of having killed anybody

Until the majority of southerners learn to be mature, tolerant and patriotic in their reactions to thorny national issues, we shall never get tired of citing the exemplary maturity, tolerance and the legendary patience of the northerners to them.
The two pictures below are those of two Nigerian soldiers: one Igbo, the other 'Hausa'.
The Igbo, Private Azunna Maduabuchi, shot the 'Hausa' man, Lt. Babakaka Shehu Ngorgi, six times in the back while the officer was on phone talking to his newly wedded wife.
Maduabuchi was alleged to have shouted, after killing his boss:
"I have achieved my aim".
It is to be noted that the slain officer was his (Maduabuchi's) commanding officer at the Boko Haram warfront.
I am sure so many people reading this post are reading about the incident for the first time.
Please, those of you who have conscience, tell me what could have been the reactions of the Igbo, CAN, southerners and northern Christians, if the incident were the other way round, namely, a Hausa other rank soldier shot his Igbo commanding officer six times in the back for no apparent reason ?
Hell would have been let loose, Facebook and Twitter would have been painted red; tonnes of insults, vituperations and invective hurled on Hausa-Fulani, Muslims, prophet Muhammad and Islam.
It would be recalled that when Flying officer, Tolulope Arotile was killed in error, in an auto crash by her secondary school ex-mates, some people had already started weaving conspiracy theories, insinuating that she was killed by Muslims, who were envious of her feats as the first female combat helicopter pilot in NAF, until the timely press release by the Nigeria Airforce which disclosed the names of the occupants of the SUV which crushed her, who all turned out to be her fellow Christians.
Some people have already attributed the Private Maduabuchi's action to the combat-induced Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which predisposes troops who experienced war to some psychiatric problems.
However, pending the full investigations into the incident by the military authorities, I have my doubts.
The young Igbo soldier might have been a victim of the brainwashing, hate speeches and inciting to violence against Hausa-Fulani and Muslims generally, by the runaway and cowardly terrorist, Nnamdi Kanu, which he has been carrying out in his Radio Biafra, especially bearing in mind what the boy was reported to have allegedly said after killing the officer.
May Allah have mercy on the soul of Lt. Babakaka Shehu, a Kanuri from Borneo state; and forgive his shortcomings.

I dont know how factual this story is about an Igbo Soldier shooting his commanding officer, too many fake news out there. What I do know is that the North is neither mature nor tolerant and their idea of being patriotic is being in control of Nigeria. The proof is in the time line of Igbos killed in the North

The Eastern officers were been killed in the North and West where they had no support, but they were not being killed in the East or Midwest, the North had no hold there.

Had Ogundipe had any ounce of dignity, he should have assumed his rightful position as head of state in the absence of Ironsi and urged the Yoruba nation not allow anyone subjugate them in their own land. But I think Ogundipe knew that his own people had no stomach for armed struggle. He knew his people could not fight, so hr went to a ship and sailed away.

But Igbos refused to accept Northern imposition the way Yorubas were just too willing to accept it. So Igbos declared their own country and fought.

Its easy to accept to be a slave, you dont have to embark on the difficult and perilous act of fighting for freedom. Only serious people reject slavery and fight for freedom, just like Igbos did.

IPOB is a group advocating for an independence referendum to be conducted in much of what is called the SE/SS geopolitical zones. Of course "Igboids" will be the majority in that group as they are the majority when you combine both zones. However, IPOB isnt about any particular ethnic group, its about SE/SS.

Do more research before you write the nonsense you wrote above. Njoku was in Ibadan Government House when the place was surrounded by troops led by Major TY Danjuma. He escaped Government House with multiple bullet wounds and fled to the east.

As for Akintola, he brought it upon himself. Nwobosi went to arrest Fani Kayode, he gave himself up without drama and later survived the incident without a scratch. Nwobosi moved to arrest Akintola and Akintola opened fire. Even Fani Kayode was shouting that he should drop the gun and give himself up peacefully, he refused. In the crossfire, Akintola and some his household were killed.

This is bigger than Nnamdi Kanu or IPOB. This is all about the fact that Nigeria has failed and anyone who chooses to remain in Nigeria has declared himself and descendants to be Hausa/Fulani slaves

How could the take control of their commands when they were in the North? How would that have been even remotely possible? The North is not their Region. But Ogundipe and Adebayor were all shoved aside right their in their own Region.

Yet Ogundipe was chased out of Lagos while Adebayo was made Military Governor of the Western Region by his junior, Lt Colonel Gowon. What a disgrace

Yorubas were literally held hostage in their own land by the Northerners, their Military Governor, Lt Col Fajuyi was murdered and their two most senior officers, Brigadier Ogundipe and Colonel Adebayo, who were then the two most senior officers of the Nigerian Army, were shoved aside to make way for Lt Col Gowon who was far junior to them.

In all of this, the Yoruba nation kept mute out of their fear of the North. They let the North steamroll over them without even the slightest protest.


Even to this day, many Yorubas still praise themselves for allowing the Northerners use them as a door mat while insulting Ojukwu who stood up to fight for the dignity of his people

This a very simple to understand. We are all in a Nigeria that nobody agitated for, nobody consented to join and nobody was asked through plebiscite or referendum if they wanted to be part of in the first place. So anyone coming from the point of Nigeria is coming a point of inferiority. The Biafrans(IPOB), on the other hand, are coming from a position of superiority because they are agitating for Biafra, both in the SE and SS, and they want that Biafra to be created for only those who give their consent via a referendum.

So as a Nigerian who is coming from a position of inferiority of an imposed country, you have no basis to argue with IPOB who are coming from the superior position of a Biafra created by democratic referendum

If Nigerians feel that IPOB is dragging some areas into a referendum they never asked for, then Nigerians should agree to immediate dissolution of Nigeria that we were all dragged into with anyones consent. If Nigeria is dissolved, then we can start talking about who wants to drag who into what

But to come from the position of an imposed country to question those who want a country created democratically is a non-starter.

We were all dragged into Nigeria. The Biafrans are even better than Nigerians because they want Biafra to come by who votes to join, in a referendum. Since nobody agitated or begged to be part of Nigeria, it then follows that any organisation can agitate for any part of Nigeria to have a referendum. It will be up to the ethnic nationalities that populate the area to vote to stay or leave.

I wonder how Nigerians who where never given the choice of deciding if they want be Nigerians are so concerned about any group agitating for any area to be given such choice. Seems odd
