NgeneUkwenu:Nonsense! What the matters is what people do, not what they say |
bluke:Has Adekunle, Obasanjo and Awolowo had any sense, they would have been talking about Oduduwa Republic when Ojukwu was talking about Biafra. Instead, they all fought for a united Nigeria where the North would be masters of every body. What a shame |
What Reno does not seem to know or understand is that while Ojukwu was busy fighting for the freedom of his people......... Yoruba men like Adekunle and Obasanjo were busy fighting for all of Nigeria to be enslaved by the North The war was all about the North taking control of Nigerias economic and political life and the natural slaves, Yoruba men like Adekunle and Obasanjo, were fighting for their Northern masters Only Ojukwu has the balls to fight to free his people. Adekunle and Obasanjo fought to become slaves |
Tolexander:They dont but Ihedioha has a penchant for doing this since his days in the national assembly |
Terrorism is regarded as a very serious issue by most countries. That is why governments take a serious look at any group that they want to proscribe and declare a terrorist group. If a country is seen by the international community as proscribing groups and tagging them terrorists over flimsy and unserious reasons, it will seriously damage the credibility of that country and its government Terrorism is no joking matter and only a fool will joke with terrorism. In recent past, the Government proscribed the group known as the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) and there is already talk about government doing the same to the Shiites under the Islamic Movement Of Nigeria(IMN) The government proscribed IPOB in 2017 when there was an alleged violent clash between IPOB and the Army during operation python dance. The truth is is that violent clash between one group and the authorities is not reason enough to proscribe a group and tag them terrorists. That is why America and the EU disagreed with the Nigerian government that IPOB are terrorists. That is why IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is traveling freely from one country to the other without disturbance There is no country where protesting groups dont violently clash with the authorities, it is currently happening in Hong Kong. If governments were to tag every group that they have had violent confrontation with as terrorists, everybody will eventually be declared terrorist. What makes a group terrorist is when they use violence even when the authorities are not there. A terrorist group must have a history of using violence on the people, whether the authorities are present or not. Terrorist groups dont wait until they clash with police or Army before they unleash violence. Herdsmen and Boko haram do not wait to clash with anybody before being violent and they dont go on the streets protesting. No terrorist group does street protest! That's why neither IPOB or shiites are terrorists Why is it that we only hear about Shiites being violent when they clash with authorities during protest? Why is it that IPOB was not in the news about violence until operation python dance? No terrorist group waits until they clash with Police/Army before they unleash violence!! If a group only becomes involved in violence when the security forces are present then it is most likely that the violence was caused, wholly or partly by the security forces themselves! |
plaindealer:There is nothing troubling here. There is nothing troubling about people wearing military uniforms and marching. They are not armed. |
Nbote:The question you should ask you self is 'why is it that we only hear of violence with IPOB and Shittes when the authorities are involved?' You think that a terrorist organisation waits until there is a clash between it and Police/Army before it unleashes violence? The truth is that IPOB and Shittes are unarmed and are not terrorists. They are groups that's are protesting one form of injustice or the other It is the Nigerian security forces that are the ones who are armed and causing all the violence here |
Starboytwo:When people are protesting and your government is busy shooting them. Thats how Boko started, the killing if its unarmed members |
julitoch:But the Shiites are not armed |
jrusky:Why would any foreign country give Kanu money? |
festacman:This is about freedom fighting and not career advancement |
judgementyard:You are not supposed to believe him or take him as your leader. What you are supposed to believe in is freedom |
hahn:Of course it's not in Nigeria. If it had been Nigeria, the man would have been helping the Shark into the boot of his car while calling his wife to assemble the ingredients for fish pepper soup |
Orji Uzo Kalu is a Hausa/Fulani slave and a traitor to his people. The man will sell his people just for his future presidential ambition |
don33310:Many other countries like South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and even Ghana all had military coups. They have all moved ahead of Nigeria Stop blaming Nzeogwu for a coup that happend over 50 years ago. If your country was a serious country, that is enough time to make progress |
Nemesis909:I watched the video. Even though Tanko did not mention Kanu by name, what he is saying about the surety going to jail in liu of the accused is wrong. What I'm saying is that a surety should be given the opportunity to state why an accused cannot be in court. Abaribe was given that opportunity and that is injustice |
I dont get some people. Abaribe takes on Kanu on bail. Government illegally sends Soldiers to go and kill an unarmed Kanus in his house. Kanu escapes this assassination attempt and leaves the country to safeguard his life. The same government that caused Kanu to leave the country now accuses Kanu of jumping bail and wants to punish Abaribe Had Soldiers succeeded in murdering Kanu, would the government be after Abaribe today? No. So they are after Abaribe because Kanu managed to escape with his life? In civilised countries, a surety is given the opportunity to explain why the accused cannot be court. In Nigeria, all.they care about is producing the accused, whether dead or alive This is no longer about justice, it is about revenge |
Its remarkable how Nzeogwu is now an Igbo man for many even though he is is from Okpanam in Delta state which is the so called South South. I dont see anyone calling him a 'Niger Delta man' Nzeogwu was a revolutionary. It's very unfortunate that he died very early in the war, he would have been a great Biafran warrior |
Very unfortunate. EL Zakzaky is clearly being persecuted for his religious beliefs |
If this is true then it is terrible |
EmekusTHEgreat:Then that means you never really understood what Nnamdi Kanu was all about. Kanu was neither looking for clout nor did he want influence. What Kanu wanted was for his people to express their right of self determination and choose if they want to inside or outside Nigeria. How can you be against someone that is fighting for your right to choose your destiny? |
Nice one by NK |
Nnamdi Kanu has never claimed to be a spiritual leader or the president of Biafra. In fact, he has said on a number of occasions that he neityer wants both positions That's how to know that this story is fake All Kanu wants is referendum |
When IPOB was dressed like that, they called them terrorists Now Sowore and AAC are doing it, they will be called defenders of democracy |
BishopMagic:True |
oyatz:Then that means there will never be peace or progress in Nigeria. To hold people against their will in a country and still be hoping for unity is wishful thinking. The USA did fight a civil war to prevent some of its Southern states from seceding but even the USA are still entertaining talks for self rule from some of its constituencies like Alaska, Hawaii and Texas. Northern Ireland you are talking about had a referendum in 1971. Scotland had a referendum in 2014 yet Britain has no secession clause in its constitution. There is no country in the world that has secession clause in their constitution. What countries have is laws of self determination and Nigeria has this. |
Ray97:Baby factory is not holding AK47 and killing thousands of Nigerians yearly. So it is not all the herdsmen that picked up AK47 and slaughtered thousands every year? That's reassuring. It means that Boko haram may soon get a page on the passport too. In this modern age where no civilised country still has people moving cattle about like we are in the 18th century, your government chose to show the world on its national document that herding cattle in the open is still a thing of national pride. What a disgrace |
The rate things are going, a cow will be sworn in as president of Nigeria in 2023 |
So the passport was designed from all the ethnic and cultural groups in Nigeria? Now how many of the picked up AK47 and slaughtered thousands of Nigerians every year? |
oyatz:So in other words, if the leaders of the other geopolitical zones decide that secession will not be included in the constitution then these first 3 steps would be a waste of time right? So what is the point since in the end, it will be other Regions that will decide what will be? Another Region and their leaders will decide what right I have to my own freedom? That is complete rubbish 4) On a personal note, I don't believe there is anything sancrosant about the unity of Nigeria but Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB's methods won't work. You may not agree with Nnamdi Kanu's method but your own suggestion is worse than his method |
rentAcock:I wonder if you would said the same thing if an Igbo president had put IPOB on the passport. |
