CrimeRe: Ifesinachi Luxurious Bus Burnt, Passengers Robbed At Ijebu Ode by Konquest:
Ejiakusmith:
Finally this southwesterns don manifested their hatred towards Igbo's ....... Shebi na for Ogun state. E happen nothing una get to tell me ....... So all the tribal abuse online don finally show forth 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
Let me educate you since you and your ilk sound uneducated. I didn't want to post any comment on this thread until I began to see you and some ignorant young Ibos here desperately trying to pin the robberies on Yorubas since the incident took place in Ijebu Ode.

For your information, right from the late 1990s to the 2010s, MANY vicious luxury bus armed robberies that were carried by your fellow IBO kinsmen have taken place around Ijebu Ode and along areas on the entire stretch of Lagos-Benin-Onitsha axis. The crime sections of major newspapers such as The SUN, Guardian, Punch, etc, reported these horrendous luxury bus armed robberies which also included the rapes of female passengers by the armed robbers on mainly those night bus journeys to and from the East of Nigeria.

These robberies were inside jobs carried out by Ibo workers of the transport companies and their fellow informants and some of them were arrested and confessed to the crimes.

I must state here that the very vicious cases of KIDNAPPING for ransom in LAGOS STATE in 2013 and beyond such as the kidnapping of Kehinde Bamigbetan (the popular former Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA) was carried out by some IBO Kidnappers who used Ghana as a base and struck in Lagos State. It was the crack team of police detectives from the IRT that busted those bloody criminal gangs and two others were arrested alive by the crack team that carried out the operation. Those arrested were: Ogbonna Emenike, 27 and Uchenna Nwanyu, 25, who were paraded alongside the bodies of their deceased members by Lagos Police Chief Umar Manko in the afternoon, yesterday and the two survivors among them confessed to the crime. I remember that story vividly because it was one of the series of criminal activities such as armed robberies of banks, oil tanker hijackings, house robberies, kidnappings, traffic robberies, etc, that young Ibos who came from the South East were notoriously for and relentless involved in, in majorly Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Oyo States.

I have many documents in my crime archives detailing how in 2009, Ibo armed robbers from Anambra State carried out several robberies when Adisa Bolanta was the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State. A gang of more than 30 armed robbers came from Anambra State to Ibadan and linked up with their fellow Anambra informant (who claimed to be a trader at Ladipo market in Lagos). They all lodged in an Ibadan hotel and from there drove to Ogbomosho where they robbed and killed people in the University town of Ogbomosho severally, but as fate would have it, Adisa Bolanta and his policemen successfully arrested all of them, including the others who were hiding in Lagos.

So, you and the other Ibo bigots here on this thread and other online platforms MUST get it into your heads that many armed robberies, kidnappings, and petrol tanker hijackings and more have been committed by IBOS right in Lagos and other parts of Yorubaland. So, do NOT rule out a major Ibo conspiracy in that burned luxury bus like in years past when Ibo armed robbers would smuggle guns hidden in shoe soles or false bottoms of travel bags to rob luxury passengers at the Ijebu Ode area or any other point on the Lagos-Onitsha route. There have been armed robberies all over Nigerian states and even transborder armed robberies of BDCs and banks in Cotonou and Porto Novo in Benin Republic as well by these criminal gangs of Ibos who then turn around to falsely claim to be legit millionaires building houses in Lagos, Ogun, and all over the place meanwhile it's proceeds of vicious crimes that they are depending on to show off!

More below:

Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike (from Nnewi in Anambra State) otherwise called by the alias "Evans" is one of those notorious Ibos who NOT just only engaged in brutal armed robberies, murders and kidnappings in the South East, and Edo State, but he also relocated to Yorubaland to continue kidnapping and robbing people in Lagos State and environs. Period.

Abeg Canada should calm down. Maybe if it was 10 yrs ago when Canada was Canada, I will accept the deportation order as genuine and in good faith.

But Canada of today is turning to dugbe market with all sorts of character entering. In the last 5 yrs, over 4 million Indians alone entered Canada. Some areas in greater Toronto now is no different from new Delhi.

What will deportation of 4 people change when almost 1 million immigrants enter every year. What will their removal change.

Even white Canadians are leaving canada due to housing and cost of living crisis.

Nothing special about Canada anymore, the special effect is gone. They should allow them to stay.
Succinctly stated.

Adegboye said she sees the deportation order from federal immigration officials as a death sentence for her family, which now includes two more children who were born in Canada.

She issued a plea for Canada to reverse the deportation so she can continue to build a life for her children and care for her patients.

Obviously, she's lying! The family is lying by raising religious persecution. They are Yoruba and in Yorubaland there's no religious persecution. The 3 religion of Christianity, Islam and Yoruba traditional Isese religion exist side by side even in every family and community. She should have been honest enough to state the main reason instead of denigrating her place.

This is what you get when you build your lives on lies. Truth will eventually catch up with you.

If you check her background now, she's probably one of those educated with tax payers money and on graduation deserted the nation for a foreign country that made zero investment in their public education before leaving Nigeria.

We have patients in Nigeria too and we need more health workers too. Please come back home with dignity, your children are watching and learning from you if you build their lives on lies. They will grow up not seeing anything wrong with lying and denigrating their origin.

PoliticsRe: Abuja, Lagos Vips Behind Oil Theft In Niger Delta – Dickson by Konquest:
Islie:
Why should a country like Nigeria that has been producing oil, exporting oil for the past 70 years not have a scientific way of metering, recording what leaves, what is pumped, what is sold and what is not sold? And it’s deliberate.

“It’s not a Niger Delta thing; it’s just happening there and it is unfortunate that it has destroyed communities because there is too much illegal money, illegal arms, illicit drugs and it has fueled cultism because people want to get the loyalties of young people to be able to hold territories where oil facilities are.

“They need weapons and young men that are always high on drugs. You think a man who slaughters and cuts off a man’s head and dismember him is normal? So, those are people who are actively on drugs.”

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/03/abuja-lagos-vips-behind-oil-theft-in-niger-delta-dickson/
The indigenes from the creeks of Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers States (especially Ijaws) are also deeply involved in major oil thefts via an international cartel that engages in illegal bunkering and dangerous illegal refining of stolen crude oil that further pollutes the immediate Niger Delta environments with deadly smoke and soot as witnessed in the PH area. A lot of pollution of the Niger Delta comes from these activities aside from the occasional oil spills from the major oil companies. This is one of the reasons why many of them have divested from onshore production and moved to the deep offshore.

Back in the 2000s, Goverment Ekpemupolo (also called Tompolo) and others were major pipeline vandals and used the proceeds of the stolen oil to buy weapons from foreign weapons cartels to engage in militancy and kidnappings. It was the amnesty program that made it possible for Tompolo and others to become overnight Naira billionaires with the pipeline protection contracts in the 2010s under the Presidency of Goodluck Jonathan.

Senator Seriake Dickson's biological sister too got kidnapped for a whole 2 months when he was the Governor of Bayelsa State, so, the issues in the Niger Delta areas can be resolved through devolution of powers to the states, tracking crude oil production with oil meters, and tracking how much money is spent for development by politicians and elected office holders at state and LGA levels... and also dealing with the drug dealers fueling drug usage among the youths in the local communities.
BusinessRe: Naira Appreciates To ₦‎1,280/$ At Parallel Market by Konquest:
dre11:
The naira, on Friday, appreciated to N1,280 per dollar at the parallel section of the foreign exchange (FX) market.

The current FX rate signifies a 5.19 percent appreciation from the N1,350/$ reported on March 27.

Currency traders in Lagos, also known as bureau de change (BDCs) operators, quoted the buying rate of the greenback at N1,260 and the selling price at N1,280 — leaving a profit margin of N20.

“The price of the dollar as well as other major currencies have been falling. It is affecting our business as some customers prefer to keep their currencies than change it with us,” a currency trader identified as Aliyu told TheCable.

At the official section of the FX market, the local currency depreciated by 0.69 percent to N1,309.39/$ on March 28 — from N1,300.43/$ on March 27.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on March 29, said the economy recorded over $1.5 billion in foreign exchange (FX) inflow this month, indicating its monetary policy initiatives are effective.

The apex bank said the naira is headed in the right direction, and the administration of Yemi Cardoso, CBN governor, remains committed to ensuring the stability of the market and the appropriate pricing of the naira against other major currencies worldwide.

https://images03.military.com/sites/default/files/media/equipment/military-aircraft/ah-64-apache-longbow/2014/02/ah-64-apache-longbow_009.jpg

The 🇺🇸 US Army has had two Apache helicopter crashes within 48 hours, with the latest sending two soldiers to the hospital when their aircraft went down Wednesday evening near Fort Carson, Colo., the service confirmed Thursday.

The AH-64 Apache from the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division crashed around 6:30 p.m. during a routine training exercise. The two pilots suffered minor injuries and were taken to the on-base hospital before being released the same night, according to the Army.

A team from the Army Combat Readiness Center at Fort Novosel, Ala., will investigate the crash, with all aviation assets grounded at the base until further notice.

The incident is the second Apache crash in just 48 hours, with the same helicopter model going down Monday at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.

In that accident, the two pilots were injured when their aircraft assigned to 4th Squadron, 6th Air Cavalry Regiment, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade crashed during a routine training exercise around 9:30 p.m., base officials said.

That crash is also under investigation.

The accidents follow two other Apache mishaps in February: A Mississippi National Guard Apache helicopter crashed Feb. 23, killing the two pilots aboard, and a Utah National Guard Apache went down Feb. 12, with both pilots surviving.

Those incidents prompted the Army to ground all of its National Guard helicopter units for a safety review.

The US military has also struggled with rotary-wing aircraft accidents in the past several years, with the deadliest such crashes in November, when five soldiers were killed when their MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was downed over the Mediterranean Sea. The same month, eight Marines died in when their V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft crashed near Japan.

And in March 2023, nine troops were killed when two Black Hawks collided near Fort Campbell, Ky.
Aside from mechanical issues and bad weather conditions, human errors can also lead to these sorts of frequent U.S. military copter crashes. These high-end copters cost a lot to purchase and maintain.

(UNDP, NBS, African Polling Inst 2022)
The stats doesn't indicate the parameters used by UNDP, NBS, etc, but it's near accurate.

Indeed, indigenes of Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Kwara, Ekiti States who are all majorly from Yoruba states are known to be professionals and international business travelers or traders for centuries now. Lagos, Ibadan, PH, Kano, Kaduna, Niger, the West African countries of Ghana, Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), Cotonou in Benin Republic, South Africa, the UK, U.S., Canada, Germany, etc, are some of the major cities and countries or locations you would find millions of folks of Yoruba descent. So, the percentage figures are almost in tandem with the reality.

The Anambra percentage figure too is on tandem with the fact that that state has traders a lot of them have moved out to several states and countries in search of survival. Based on research articles I've read over the years,

Anambra folks have a tendency to migrate out of state than those from other Ibo states. There is also a traditional distinction between Ibos who stay at home and those who travel out to look for survival (the Isuama term distinction).

Edo State has a lot of folks living in Lagos, Germany, Italy, UK, USA, etc. Edos are known for traveling out as well.

Kogi State though has Ebiras living in the major Northern states of Nigeria such as Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, etc.

The Ebiras also constitute the largest non-indigenous ethnic group in Ondo and Ekiti States after the indigenous Yorubas of Ondo and Ekiti for decades now. Kogi State shares direct boundaries with Ekiti and Ondo with the Ebiras also sharing direct boundaries and intermarriages with Yoruba folks in the border areas.

So, the stats give a rough guide of mobility and migration of folks from their states of origin in relation to those who choose to stay back.

Radio host: Is there any research to support this?

PR Manager: Even women do, but women re more careful than men. Yes, gherw is a lot of inattentiveness on our roads

Radio host: ...but I want to see the research

PR Manager: I will bring the results for you

Radio host: That when men are driving they watch women's big buttocks

PR Manager: Yes, they do, especially when driving on highway
So, where's the Web link to the research findings from the PR Manager of the Ghana Road Safety Authority?

For those who don't even know yet, about 75 percent of the human body is made up of water... Yes, water. So, the human buttocks is essentially water and other biological stuff in the mix.

Those who have a relentless habit of watching the female backsides when driving (or even walking on the streets) must take note in order to prolong their lives and that of others a little longer... while some of those dudes walking on the sidewalks have fallen into drainage systems or been hit by a car or motor bike while stylishly spying on female backsides.

The female backsides ain't that serious on a scale of 1 to 10 tbh and must NOT be elevated over intelligence.

Thanks for the information.

But what research have you done to determine which of the routes have more economic values - the Northern trade route or the Southern route that connects Lagos and other oil and natural gas rich states in the South West, South South and South East with mega cities such as Port Harcourt, Aba, Onitsha, Ibadan and Benin?
Just as I clearly stated, the LAKAJI corridor or transport route which cuts through 11 states has massive economic value linking the South (West) to the North and vice versa. The economic activities from Lagos to Ogun to Ibadan in Oyo, Osun, to the Middle Belt in Kwara, Niger, Kaduna, then Kano to Jibiya in Katsina State is huge!

The Lagos-Calabar route or highway with embedded rail lines is also fantastic because it completes the triangle of routes (North to West, North to East, and now West to East).

Raw materials from the petrochemical industries and other finished or semi-finished goods can easily be brought from the Niger Delta states/South of South states to the Western states of Nigeria and vice versa.

Yes.

Especially through Epe, Abijo, Lekki, Sangotedo, Ibeju Lekki through Ogun then to other Coastal States in the South.

Buhari’s Railway from Kano to Maradi in Niger Republic will be cancelled soon for lack of economic value.

The money will be used to complete the Coastal project.
Your first paragraph is succinctly stated.

On the other hand, the Kano to Maradi railway line will NOT be cancelled because it has huge economic value.

The Lagos-Kano-Jibia (LAKAJI) trade route is the busiest trade route in Nigeria running into billions of Naira. Jibia in Katsina State links directly to Maradi in Niger Republic which of course is part of the larger ECOWAS. The trade volume along that route is the highest in Nigeria and will further boost economic linkages with Niger Republic.

I have attended U.S.-African Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA) programs and this fact about the LAKAJI route is clearly stated in brochures and other country-specific information. Well known chambers of commerce also mention this key fact.

Some of us have traveled abroad.
Some of us went back to the village.
Some of us have seen hëll and still facing hëll.
Some are also deàd. Don't forget, and some of us, the last time we sat in a class room was the last day we wrote or secondary school last exam paper.

In short, life is not good to everyone.
Whenever you call or run into your old classmate, please, let them or the conversation be simple.
That we are still alive, it's the thing to celebrate.
Stop making others feel lèss of a value because you're married, engaged or have multiple degrees.
Life is full of ups and downs. Life can turn around.
You can stretch your hand and be a blessing to your fellow classmates, instead of möcking them simply because you're in a better position.
Life is not prèdictable, be humble.❤️🍷

E pain me as awolowo no become president. I grew up seeing him campaign. Nigeria would have been stronger than most EU nations today. The problem retarding our growth as a nation still persists...religous bigotry and tribalism.

Did you know that the coastal road network was actually Pa Awo's vision? That man was something else. People like Awolowo can only be found once in 50 years or once in a century.

Do you know the plant called ewe akintola? The botanical name is Chromolaena. Some call it awolowo plant. He brought it to Nigeria to fertilise the southern soil. He spread the seeds using helicopter all over South. The plant remains with us till today, fertilising our soil naturally .

I was passing by oba akran recently and looked at the cocoa warehouse, opposite guiness. That place is massive! Awo was such a selfless man. He had no private jets, no helicopter, no expensive cars, even though he could afford one. He invested his life and time on nation building. All his legacy projects, including institutions he built remain the best till date among others.

Sadly, while African nations are moving forward steadily without making noise, Nigeria the African giants is sleeping. Imagine the young Senegalese president telling France to stop pressing their neck, that they should leave them alone. Niger said same, even sent the French ambassador away, same as Mali who called their bluff. Nigeria is still licking the asss of Britain. See the election Senegal conducted, omg! Did you hear that their electoral umpire switched off the server in order to steal Faye's mandate? Other African nations used to emulate us but they backed off at some point , seeing we're not worthy to be emulated and charted their own path.

If it were before, you'd see them name their party close to APC or PDP. They'd come here to get trained by our INEC and learn how we conducted a free and fair election. I wonder what they can copy from us now. Even corruption is easing out in other African nations today. Go to Benin Republic. They were worse than Nigeria on corruption before. You barely hear of such again. Cfa that used to be a worthless currency in africa has overtaken the naira. Nigeria needs to wake up. We're not moving forward at all. No country develops in propaganda. That's what we do here.

See the wave of japa today, just sample the opinion of other african countries and you'd find out that Nigeria has the largest number of immigrants in those western nations they're running to, no thanks to bad leadership. I've never seen on the cnn that any of the mushroom african countries is crying over hunger. Its only us. We need to think deep and overcome all these challenges by ourselves asap or we fail as a nation. Enough said
Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN.

Indeed, his innovative thinking was way ahead of time.

The Ikeja GRA, Ikeja Industrial Estate, Ilupeju Industrial Estate, Iganmu Industrial Estate, Oluyole Industrial Estate in Ibadan, Western House skyscraper on Lagos Island was the tallest building of it's time, and the iconic Cocoa House skyscraper in Ibadan were ALL built by his Western Region goverment from the 1950s.

I hope the ijaws no go dey kidnap people for the road with reckless abandon
I was thinking about the same thing too. The Bayelsa axis of the road could prove to be problematic in terms of insecurity.

It's hoped that there'll be devolution of powers to the states so that the restless kidnappers in the creeks would be better engaged at state levels before the Lagos to Calabar Coastal highway (with the rail lines embedded) is ready.

God Bless President Bola Tinubu
God Bless Federal Republic of Nigeria

Talk and do President with speed of light and using one stone to kill nine birds by connecting Lagos to Ogun to Ondo to Edo to Delta to Balyesa to Rivers to Akwa-Ibom to Cross Rivers,..
That's awesome.
