This is the best advice so far. Op, there is nothing absolutely you can do to win her back. She has been with someone else apart from you, hence her walking away without considering yesterday. Not because of diversity in religion but because you no longer appeal to her. The earlier you acknowledge she is gone the better for you. It will be difficult to erase her from memory but time heals. Be strong and stay positive, try to see the advantages of her exit. To you, she was the best woman for you, but in reality she was not. Responding to violence with even more violence ain't a solution to violence. I am dead shock to realise, dads still get physical with their grown up sons/daughters in this age. I feel your pains, but I believe there is more to your story than what are portraying here. It might be your approaches to issues involving your family are way too commandeering to the embarrassment of your dad. Your dad might have his own faults, but you need not tell him in the face to f**k off just because you have been standing on your own. Your dad could be softened if you can show maturity and levelheadedness in dealing with him in the family. With no offence intended, I think you need to mellow with age (you are grown up for Christ's sake) and rather not allow your bloated ego to get in the way. Be objective and firm as a man you are. You can mend things in your family.
