MALIGNANTGuest:A little suggestion/advice… You know you and other customers can have a little ping pong/table tennis game on those tables that you fold your clothes on…if they are not being used. ![]() |
BATified2023:Was it Igbos that made that stupid comment? You are not intelligent. |
“I made a choice on my own, from my own experiences, from my history with Chris,” he said. “Jada had nothing to do with it. I’m sorry, babe. I want to say sorry to my kids and my family for the heat that I brought on all of us.” Will Smith was misled by his wife. His action was triggered by Jada’s reaction to Chris Rock’s joke. Will Smith is a liar. If I was Chris, I wouldn’t be reaching out to him. Somethings are forgivable. A brother trying to hurt and embarrass another brother because of Pvssy isn’t pardonable. |
SmartPolician:I disagree. Nothing will happen if ISWAP and Boko haram attack the south. Haven’t they been doing that? They’ve been test running with various attacks, kidnappings and banditry but camouflaged as Fulani herdsmen crimes. South is not united and it is not mobilised. You need a standing group of resistance, well mobilised and motivated to quell or confront such craziness from the north. Various vigilante groups across the south are not mobilised and their objectives are different. They are not motivated to the level of going into combat with the north. People like Kwankwaso, El Rufai know this. Shettima is emboldened by this and it’s not a surprise that he will stand on the podium and tell Nigerians to go to hell with the ‘restructuring my foot’ speech. The only groups that could tackle ISWAP and boko haram are not equipped, lack logistics and support, these groups are made of thugs, local bandits, frustrated separatists etc. Locals distrust and hate them, police and military hunt them. Some of the present group of northern elite are worse in rhetorics, thinking and strategy than their pre independence folks. This is one of the worst times to be a Nigerian. I pity Obi and Tinubu. Tinubu won’t find it easy if he wins, he will regret the choice of Shettima not because of the Muslim-Muslim candidature but because both men would disagree on policies and ideologies. Shettima would betray and plot against Tinubu. Obi will face more issues trying to cut costs and dealing with security. Gird your loins Nigerians. Perilous days are ahead. |
I think Tinubu has a lot of skeleton in his cupboard. I think he is fraud and a very greedy man. He might have lied about his age, true background but he is not 86 years. He should be younger than that. |
CrownOfClay724:It wasnt BBC bro. The BBC crew comprising Collin Jackson, Denise Lewis, Jeanette Kwakye and Jessica Ennis were full of praise and admiration for Tobi Amusan....The embittered crew were Andrew Cotter, Michael Johnson and possibly Steve Cram. Watch the broadcast on BBC Iplayer if you have access. Collin Jackson...God bless that man would not have any of the 'time was wrong' conspiracy started by Cotter and escalated by Michael Johnson. Sebastian Coe is president of world athletics. He is a no nonsense man who hates corruption, doping and malpractice. He would have come up with a statement about equipment failure if that was the case. Michael Johnson and Cotter were contracted to comment on the race because they were former world class athletes, they allowed their bias to mar an otherwise brilliant broadcast from the BBC. You should listen to Collin Jackson who was a former hurdler himself. Michael was moaning about time when Devyne Charlton of Bahamas broke their national record. This is a girl whose personal best was 12.60, she broke that when she ran 12.46...that was Johnson's problem....They overlooked the fact that Charlton beat Camacho-Quinn who was a 12.26 athlete. Kambunji was a 12.77 athlete, she achieved a personal best of 12.70...How was that a problem for Michael Johnson? Cindy Sember was a 12.57 and her best and British national record was achieved when she ran 12.50....a 0.07 reduction. Tapper of Jamaica prior to the race was a 12.53....She managed to run 12.52, just 0.01 reduction. The Polish girl Skrzyszowska was on 12.70 before she ran 12.62...a 0.08 reduction in time. Michael Johnson's problem was Amusan who ran 12.12 from 12.40. He and Cotter just could not make sense of it and they could not hide their bias. Commonwealth Games starts tomorrow in Birmingham and I pray that Tobi Amusan remains fit and focussed. I strongly believe that shes got more. |
manutdrichie:If the pastor said all those then he must be looking for trouble. Those are very provocative. |
ceejayluv:It wasn’t a statistical anomaly. Nothing is wrong with the time. The controversy was started by Andrew Cotter because of Amusan’s 12:12. Other athletes like Cindy Sember improved slightly on their personal records because of the quality of opposition on the track. Cindy’s personal best was 12:53….she ran 12:50 to break British national record held by her sister. That difference wasn’t much. |
robosky02:It’s unfortunate Michael Johnson took the bait. The man who actually started whether the time was legit or not was Andrew Cotter, the Scottish guy who was commenting with Michael on that semi final race. The bbc crew comprising Kwakye, Collin Jackson, Jessica Ennis and Denise Lewis were full of admiration for Amusan’s performance. Ennis called it an ‘unbelievable time’. Collins was the man analysing and trying to convince them there was nothing wrong with the time. He said that young athletes learning hurdles should watch Amusan and see how it’s done. He called it a perfect race. About Cindy Sember ‘running slow’….Collins Jackson said that Sember improved on her 12:53, and of course if others were racing quicker and ahead, someone like Sember would feel that she wasn’t doing enough or running at a slow time. She managed to shave off 0:03 off her time to break her sister’s Tiffany Ofifi Potter’s record. Amusan was simply too good on the day and I hope she achieves same at Birmingham commonwealth games. It was Andrew Cotter who started the ‘time’ controversy. |
kayperry:One thing that will help put this to rest is the commonwealth games that starts in a few days in Birmingham England. If she prepare well, she will smash the time as well. I believe she will do that. We will witness another record smash. |
aribisala0:There was no racism in the broadcast. I watched the race and I have it on record as well, I’ve watched that race many times since. I didn’t see any indication of racist commentary, there were all blacks with the exception of Jessica Ennis. It’s silly to even mention racism here but there clearly was bias. They were doubtful of the timing when Amusan ran 12:12. Surprise, shock and disbelief captured their initial reaction. It wasn’t expected, however after the initial bleep about timing, they started to praise her but with some reservations. Johnson looked at the race again and saw that Harrison, the former world champion with a personal best of 12:20 ran a good race but was given a good gap by Amusan. I think the shock and doubt were as result of certain inconsistency in Amusan’s time. They expected a smooth transition from her 12:40 during the heat to maybe 12:35, 12:30, 12:28 etc….but Amusan transited from 12:40 to a surprising 12:12 hence the doubts about the time. If Kendra Harrison or Camacho Quin had ran 12:12, I don’t think a few eyebrows would’ve been raised because they have had some consistencies with the times and winnings. No one would expect Amusan to run at such pace… Even in the finals, Amusan’s odd to win was 21/20. That would’ve made me some money. . I lost money on Camacho Quin. A bet on Amusan with a reasonable sum would’ve made anyone rich….I screen shot this days before the race.
|
kayperry:It was so annoying. Michael Johnson and the BBC crew were all stunned. From being skeptical of the timing, they doubted if Amusan would deliver in the finals…I don’t blame them though. Johnson said that Amusan would be under a lot of pressure, he said Amusan needed to repeat her semi finals performance and also win the race. They just couldn’t believe that she could do it…Well Amusan not only won the finals convincingly, she further lowered the time. She shut them all up. That girl is as clean as can be. Let them leave her alone and not taint her samples. I’m sure they will store her biological samples very securely and test it periodically to find something. |
Pristine664:Kendra Harrison personal best and former world record was 12:20….she ran a 12:27 in the semi finals when Amusan won with 12:12…watch the race again, Kenny Harrison ran a good race but Tobi Amusan was on top of her game….she clearly bested Harrison in that semi finals so I think her time was legit and should not be blamed on equipment malfunction. I think the timing was correct. Amusan was simply too good on that day. I watch her heat race….she told the bbc reporter that she and her coach were primarily concerned with perfecting her execution which entails running well, maintaining good rhythm, executing her jumps without making contact with the hurdles which would’ve disrupted her rhythm and pace or even make her to stumble. That girl was very focused. I watched Michael Johnson, Denise Lewis, Jeanette Kwakye and Jessica Ennis query the timing. It made me angry as it undermines the efforts and Amusan’s brilliance. She has been good but unlucky to fall short when she competed against Kenny Harrison and Camacho Quin in either the Olympics or other international meets. Tobi Amusan is good. ……it’s good though they have been doubtful of the timing mechanics instead of trying to blame the time on some dodgy physiological manipulations that assisted Tobi…I’m talking about drugs. She trains in the US but she’s Nigerian and we all haven’t gotten over the Okagbare embarrassment. Tobi is a rocket pocket. She’s a gem. I celebrate her. Phuck BBC Tobi Amusan worked hard and she beat the best of the best to tie gold and world record…phuck the wind as well….she ran 12:06 and it should stand as the new record. The wind also assisted other girls but they didn’t come close. |
LikeAking:You asked him to spell waist (waste) properly but you wrote ‘Ageg’. Were you trying to write ‘abeg= (I beg you) or agege?? |
Mickykarim:If Christianity was Islam. People like you would be stoned. Peter Obi did nothing to you guys. It was Father Mbaka that was calling him stingy because your god couldn’t squeeze and extract money out of the poor man. Obi never said anything bad about Mbaka and his adoration ministry. He was the one calling Obi out. If you guys are angry, meet your bishop and express it. It was the Catholic Church that sanctioned Mbaka not Peter Obi… For those fools getting aggressive, they haven’t really met the right group of people. Their phuck ups should be addressed. Phuck them with their votes. The real people with their pvcs would vote. |
BATified2023:You are a pathological liar and an idiot. You have lies embedded in your gene. People like you should be exposed, fished out and dealt with |
If she maintains this form, she’ll easily win the commonwealth games gold. Lauren Ugen and the Jamaican girls are not at her level. |
Amusan is world champion. She matched her semifinals world record with the gold and another world record. She ran 12:06 but sure if that will stand.
|
Finals coming up shortly. I hope Amusan wins this. Lots of critics already questioning her time. |
Ese Brume currently leading the pack in the women’s long jump event with a leap of 7.02m. Malaika Mihambo of Germany had two fouls but just managed to not get eliminated after getting through on her third jump. |
Congrats to her.
|
More photos: Kenny Harrison, former world record holder below.
|
Amusan was just flawless as she broke the world record in the women’s 100m hurdles.
|
Anyone awake watching Tobi Amusan in the 100m hurdles. She just ran a blistering 12:12 to break the world record in the women’s 100m hurdles. She did this in the semifinals. Congrats to her and I hope she replicates that feat to win the gold in the finals coming up in about 70mins. |
ThAGodFaThEr2:Are you trolling or you really believe that Tinubu is 87 years? |
Spirit04:Do you think that is possible in Nigeria? You’d have to remove all the police, military and customs check points on the roads and sack them as well because they all extort money from road users. |
flyinnizam:A big shame to you whoever killed these animals. What’s wrong with people? How do kill, cut, cook and shove these into your mouths?? You guys are something else. |
Throwback:You call Obi supporters….”mob of ignorant zombies”… There is nothing wrong with your label, the problem however is when those “mob of ignorant zombies” tag you and reply your comments. The word out there is hypocrisy. |
naija4life247:You are as silly and foolish as the group of idiots that Segalink is referring to. You obviously haven’t met or witnessed violence or calculated evil in your life. Stay safe and avoid trouble mister. |
Okoroawusa:Has Obi supporters physically attacked anyone? Outside of mutual online banters, has any Obi supporter done anything bullying/attacking offline? Has Peter Obi ever disrespected and bullied anyone online or offline? Were Igbos attacked recently after the results of Osun state gubernatorial election? Did Kwankwaso mention Peter Obi negatively in his interviews lately? Did Shettima disrespect Peter Obi recently in his interview? Did Atiku disrespect and call his support group media/online support? In all these, has Peter Obi reciprocated? Let’s be truthful always. We know the real aggressors. |
Snapchat:Don’t call him an idiot because he is a police man and as Nigerians, most of us are biased and skeptical about the police. If there was a video evidence, I feel confident that those three men deserved what happened and what’s coming their way….They wound up their windows, turned off car engine and even considered leaving their car just to frustrate the police man. This is typical of some road users in Nigeria. This to me isn’t a case of the police PRO abusing power, this is a blackmail against him and even as I don’t like Nigeria police, I support this man and what he did. He acted professionally. |
