janejjjjj5000: Please, I don't want to be judged. My husband is a good man. We have been married for 14 years. I am 33 years old. He is 39 years old. We have 4 kids - 3 girls and 1 boy. He has never cheated on me. Right from day 1, he has been very open. He is not the type of husband that locks phone and all of that. But I am tired. He has the habit of flaring up around the children and I don't like it. I don't want my kids to be damaged. I know some will say no marriage is perfect but at this point, I don't even want marriage again. I just want to be free and single and look after my kids. I am tired.
Anytime we have an argument, he always talks about how he did this and that for me. In front of the children. I don't want this kind of life. He hardly gets angry, maybe twice or thrice in a year but when he does, he does not have the sense to know he should not be doing it in front of the kids. He apologizes to them and to me but I am done.
He has no other issue apart from this. He has never beaten me or anything but I am tired. Overall he is a good husband to be fair and honest but I can no longer deal with this. I prefer to be single and free than deal with this rubbish.
I feel like pouring out my heart.
I have one question for you.
Why don't you find out what triggers this behavior and seek for a solution on it rather quiting?
The grass isn't greener at the other side ooo. Be ready for the next troubled phase of your life, cos more worse men will come at you and I bet you might regret ever leaving him later.
Aonkuuse: I think this young lady have made the best choice for herself. She called off her wedding that supposed to hold on Saturday over her boyfriend's constant beatings
Dorwadora: Good evening my Romancelanders and Nairalanders. I hope y'all been having a good day?
Here's the thing.
Due to the ASUU strike I decided to get a job around my school instead of going home because Ekiti has become home for me. I resumed work on Monday, that's 6 days ago. I and my boss have not been having any issue. He gives the command and I get the work done but recently he has been giving me his home key to go and cook for him. The first time I was surprised because giving your house key to someone you barely know is a bit weird to me but since Monday that I've started the work, I've been to his house 4 times cooking stew or vegetable soup. I'm there right now frying meats.
I am seriously not comfortable with the arrangement but I can't say no because I really need to keep the job and save up. He's married but his wife is not staying with him and cooking and cleaning is the job of a wife not a staff.
Please house how can I stop this whole charade without losing the job?
You better go back home before you start warming his bed and clean his boxer shorts soon. Can't he get a house help? You will soon come back to tell us how your two legs was widely opened without mercy by your boss. My opinion though
Francis609: My mum have never liked my wife to the extend of wishing her death when she lost our first baby and I had disowned her for saying that. So far we haven't had any contact since the incident and we are finally proud parents of twins boy and girl born in February. My stepmother have been here for us since day 1 she is in my house taking care of my wife and babies , my mum called saying that she want to come over and take care of my wife and kids and will be spending a month . I lied to her that my wife is with her sister and will let her know when she is back to the house so she can come over. To be Frank I don't want her near my wife because she doesn't likes her and I don't think she have any good plan for us. Did I do the right thing for lying to her my wife is not around or should I give her the chance to come over and see if she have truly change?
Please If you want to understand the full story go through my old threads
Hailleys: Help! I am about to finish my 300L stage in one of Nigeria state polytechnics but I am losing many opportunities due to my inability to speak fluently in English language. Although, I am good in typing/writing and I can compose my self in good English in my brain but it is very difficult whenever I open my mouth. Any suggestion for improvement are welcome. Thanks Nairalanders.
I was like that at a time, but reading books and print media like newspapers helps alot.
Try and make dictionary your friend too, don't be afraid to use those words you caught while reading, with time you will improve
funkmrflexx: I ended the relationship with My ex due to her bad characters. And then I later got married. While we were dating I wanted to get my ex a place for her to stay due to d fact Dat she doesn't have anywhere to go when she graduates. Both of her parents are divorced and remarried with kids. She can't go back to her father's house because he harrases her sexually and his wife his not welcoming. She can't go to her mother's house cus her stepfather won't agree. During d time we were dating she was staying with me for this reason but as soon as she got into school her character changed so I ended it all. Now think of her predicament I'm thinking of getting her d house I promised so as for her not to go back to her dad's house. I have the money to do it that's not a problem.
I'm still having second thoughts though. Abi Make I just use my money package myself
My candid opinion is that you face your marriage and let her be in your past . If you get her the house there are chances that you might over the time start visiting for casual sex and this may altimately affect your marriage, think twice
Let him go and ask how much Wizkid got paid for his performance at Indian royal wedding
Even if Davido stops singing today Burna Boy can't be as rich as Davido even if he uses all his entire household for money rituals or he starts selling drugs
As a Shareholder of Pacific holdings owners of Omotosho and Olorunsogo Electricity power plant, several projects in Banana island, Shares in Adeleke University ... Davido's sister is actually worth more cash, asset and stocks than Burna boys entire Generation combined
.
You're very correct on this information.
I thought about this some days, base on my own personal working closely with the family certain time.
maasoap: Where will that hardship come from? The country is rich in food (agriculture) and energy (oil). Trust me, there won't be any hardship induced revolt, at least not in the foreseeable future. U guys go wait tire
Carolcitycartel: This is my traditional wedding list...to fulfill for my bride to be mine....This is Americandad...I deactivated my profile for certain reasons. Iv fulfilled the knocking on the door list
otipoju: My Pastor dey tell people sey something bad like accident go happen to me because i stop to come him church that had become real toxic for me. I tell am sey, him no know anything about the God wey we dey serve.
About six month later. Him, him wife, him son and him daughter wey dey another city get bad accident within one week.
I no even call them tell them sorry.
I make some bad and costly mistakes relating with Nigerians when i come here...i thought i was free from the Nigerian mentality, i no know sey na here worst pass.
Yes bro,I just zoned out from day one,and my sanity intact. You can't operate in isolation but you need to choose wisely cos there are still some good ones. I don't go to parties when invited and I don't care what your feelings about it are. I don't want any premium tears at all.
The man had allegedly proposed to the lady but she turned him down and in anger, he demanded she gives him everything he had bought for her including the dress and slippers she was wearing at that time.
In the video , the man is seen forcing the lady to take off her slippers and her clothes. Onlookers could not help but try to beg the distraught man on the lady’s behalf but he was adamant about taking off the lady’s dress.
The market women and other elderly men’s effort to get the man to calm down and let the lady go failed.
Emmayorejoice: I needed to withdraw 35k this morning in order to attend to some urgent cash needs and since I didn't want only N1000 notes I decided to enter the banking hall. To avoid issues I arrived before 8 am and was one of the first to be attended to. The cashier paid me with N20k bundle and counted 15k with the counting machine twice and gave me my bundle. I didnt bother to do another count as I saw her use the machine twice. Only for me to get back home and realise I had an extra N32k. I counted and recounted but it was an excess.
Truth be told times could be much better Covid and Buhari did not help matters but as a Christian I know not to keep what is not mine. God knows it could have solved a lot of problems but its best to wait for what is mine so i had to go back to the bank and wait to see the Teller. Looking at her interact with her colleagues one could tell she was not happy. When it was my turn she asked what kind of transaction I wanted and I just handed her the N32k. The relief and joy on her face could not be hidden. She had already told her colleague beside her that she was short so they both joined in telling me thank you.
As usual some may say I was foolish for returning the money but either a young lady could have lost her job in these terrible times or at least the money would be removed from her salary which is still bad enough. My only prayer is God should consider this and remember me for good.
You have done the right thing and God shall reward accordingly. But you might get her sacked with those you put out there, its easy to track and trace this event back to her. Anyways you just made somebody's day
I am 36years old. Many years ago after NYSC, I have no Juicy paying Job that can enable me to marry. I was in a relationship with Ugochi from when she was 20 until 28. Age was not on her side so I being a nobleman advised her to go ahead and marry one wealthy middle-aged man 41, that was asking for her hand in marriage.
The pressure to marry him was too much from her friends and family. I had no juicy Job, could barely eat, pay bills and have a chance to even drink and buy clothing.
I had to make sacrifices for her, so 5 days to her wedding, we agreed in unison to meet for farewell and farewell F@@k.With frustration and Heavy heart I ca..me deep inside her Four times. Gave her money for drugs (White quinine or postinor 2), she rejected it and promised to take care of it herself. I went to her wedding, eat, wished her well and left. Cried all night and moved on.
Her hubby took her to Abuja.
Now I have a good job. I am building my house and I have a car. I am extremely comfortable now.
I got a call earlier this year and it was Ugochi. She was desperate to see me. she travelled down to Lagos to see me. I wasn't comfortable so I talked her out of coming to my house. We met at an eatery and she came with one handsome little boy. I ordered Food for them and then my biggest fear came. She said her husband found out the baby is not his and sent her packing. She informed me the baby is mine.
I was shocked and I had to tell her I am squatting with someone, She and xxxxxxxx left for Imo State but before then, I denied and I argued, I went defensive.
The problem I have now is that I am planning my traditional wedding in August 2022 I have a presentable fiancee I love way too much.
Now, I can lie to the world but I can't lie to myself. That Little boy looks like me and has my pointed nose. Facially, it is glaring He is mine but I don't love Ugochi again, I have moved on. I love my fiancee so much.
Mysticwebb: When he knew they are already banned from doing that through Swift exclusion. Seems this Putin is a tragicomedian. Let him wait until FIFA bans Russia then he will ban his citizens from playing football. Sooner than he expects, his citizens will rise massively against him, then coup will happen.
You've said all,the main goal of the west is to raise his people against him like Gaddafi just watch the coming months will be nasty in Russia
Aufbauh: Firstly I was thinking that Sanctions won't do much, but the way things are going Russians will feel ostracised & isolated leading to protest against it government in the long run.
Exactly, that's the plan they have in mind with all the sanctions. Russians will be turned against its government and there will be internal crisis that will spiral out of control. Just watch in the coming days what will happen with the pockets of protest that is happening in Russia now.
Goodvibes8: My girlfriend is a Banker at GTB (not a contract staff). I just love her unconditionally. I thought she was different from other ladies. My girlfriend is cheating on me with an elderly ugly man.
She switched off her phone for 2 days, since on Tuesday. The first day I noticed, I was scared for her safety because she don't behave like that.
I called her very close friend and she said she haven't heard from her too but I shouldn't worry that she's fine.
Then I knew something was fishy. I live in Ogun state, so I went to Lagos early this morning as at 4:45am hoping to see her at home before she go to work.
When I got to her house, I saw her neighbor (she haven't seen me before else she would have lied to me as well) so I asked after my girlfriend and she said she has not been around since on Sunday.
In my mind, I was like since Sunday? Well, I know since last week, she has been acting strange. I noticed she's always quick to discharge me whenever we're on call.
I just went straight to her office at ikeja. I met with a security man and i asked if miss Lydia (not her real name) has come to office this morning? He said no but she will soon come afterall work starts by 8am and it's just 7am.
I just sat inside my car looking angry and curious. As at 7:25am, a car dropped her. I came down from my car immediately to approach her.
I was like so this is the ugly slowpoke you have been staying with since on Sunday that made you switched off your phone abi? She even have guts to ask what am I doing in Lag?
This is a girl I have never cheated on her before. Despite I am good looking, dark and tall with a good physique.
I don't know what to do. I'm heart broken . She hasn't even call me till now. This is a girl I have sacrificed a lot for.
Ogbeni face front, welcome to our world me self chop my breakfast like that sometimes ago. Those species no need to be pitying at all. You go dey alright las las.
IyaOmo1: Thanks @Nozino. There are no assurances. Even the Queen can’t guarantee what you want.
Exactly! I understand. I still need the opinion of those already with experience or were in my shoe to help in this decision making. Thanks
There are more to it ,than just go there to study and eventually land a job,you will need work permit, and later you may want to settle down completely thats when you face the rigor of immigration wahala. You can chill a little bit and do some retrospect on your journey before embarking on it.
Hannania: Top investment bankers making an average of 1m /month, managers in oil companies earning $10000(5m)/month and top programmers earning $60,000/yr(30m) are choosing to leave, and you need to ask why?
1. Firstly, oil workers earning those crazy amounts live in estates with heavy guided security for fear of kidnappers which are long before bandits. So what's the essence of earning this huge amount and being enclosed.
2. Tech guys making that crazy amount are not believed these days as some go as far as stating it's yahoo and face abrupt harassment timely. So why shouldn't we leave?
3. The whole world is a system of immigration. Places like the USA, Canada are all linage traced to immigrant forms. So it's not a crime.
Of you choosing to remain in Nigeria, it's a choice. And if Japa is the goal, still go for it. Let's stop making it a big deal. Nobody owes anybody an explanation. History has shown us what patriotism means in this country.
After all, independence was a result of greed and power and not the true intent of independence. The civil war proved it, and the present-day nepotism.
