The Audacity ! Even on Nigerian soil. Have we heard of Nigerians escaping from custody in the US, UK, Australia, Canada & EU zone ever before ? For a high-profile economic saboteur to abscond from the prying eyes of detectives and the security agents, heads must roll. Its shameful, distasteful and a national embarrassment. Russia was able to arrest terrorist who attacked its citizens in less than 24 hours. Let the NSA take action ASAP, if it wants this PBAT Gov. to maintain its very frail integrity. |
Sam Larry has in the last two (2) months run a test sampling campaign on his social media handle to see if the public has forgotten or forgiven him for the video evidences of him bullying Mohbad to the point of his developing HBP & also attempted suicide. Even if both Sam Larry & Naira Marley didn't physically kill Mohbad they contributed to his ailment. The street has cancelled Naira Marley & Sam Larry ............All the unnecessary media attention and hype and also emergency philanthropy of donating food & items by Sam Larry are all in futility. |
Both Holy Books i.e The Quoran & Bible explicitly notified in the Dangers and End of the three (3) most damaging vices that brings down great men 1, Sex (Women) 2, Alcohol & Substances (Drugs) 3, Gambling. The widening polarisation between the rich & poor in Nigeria has triggered the Gambling addiction more. Play a game with N10k & win N10m. Gambling in Nigeria has become an opium similar to religion with the hedonistic and fun-loving entitlement majority Nigerians who are new converts to this addictive vice. |
It's better you don't give what you cannot take. During the live shows of this character called Daddy Freeze, If you pass a very subtle comment and normal comment, he will curse you and your parents on his shows then block you. Arrogant, Petty, boastful & unfortunate European called freeze. If Oyakhilome says he raised dead bones, is he God to Judge or is he the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) President or Jesus Christ to seek authenticity. Comments that Freeze cannot accommodate on his page he goes on another page and spews his regular trash. |
If there is anything I respect most about Emeka Ike, it's that he has a very smart analytical mind. I noticed that at the heat of his marital issues with his first wife which made rounds few months ago, he kept the main reason to his chest strongly. Grapevine has it that an English (Grammar) speaking pastor had a hand in the divorce. I also liked the fact that he avoided Daddy Freeze's invitation for an interview. That dude Freeze thought he could get cheap publicity from Emeka Ike Saga. Freeze did almost 6 live shows on Emeka Ike matter but baba no even send am. |
Let's continue to share this lovely pictures until it gets to Elon Musk. Tesla runs basically on this Lithium asset. To Nigeria, at this point of need, it's a mega asset. Even if Government is complacent, let's help the country by showcasing this asset. Good stuff ! We are really blessed in Nigeria. |
No political move can change the narrative Senator Ningi has passed across to the public already. Call this a political move, he sent a strong message with his interview at BBC News (Hausa) version. How on earth can Akpabio Justify a constituency allowance to Akwa Ibom in excess of N20B for constituency allowance whilst others got partly N300m . What justification does he have to defend the mind boggling allocation in constituency in Akwa Ibom with less than 500,000 population. Senator Ningi has been given a hero status now at the expense of Akpabio as the north/ south divide in the house of assembly widens. |
It has been confirmed that the statement " Subsidy is gone" wasn't written in the speech of PBAT. One of the most arrogant and expensive speeches by a Nigerian president which has thrown Nigeria into a 10 months ailment the country is yet to recover from. The subsidy removal programme of PBAT is undoubtedly one of the worst executed reforms in Nigerian history. The presidency was consistently warned by Petroleum Economist and Energy experts on the total removal of subsidy and it's attendant consequence. Bala Zakka opined that the removal of subsidy on Kerosene and diesel by the Buhari Government only brought further hardship and economic disruptions without corresponding energy sustainability. PBAT in Ten (10) months cannot point to ANY tangible achievement since the beginning of his administration except an exponential rise in FX rate, the worst economic migration data since independence, poverty indexes are triple, multinational relocating outside Nigeria with mind boggling financial losses, Hyper-inflation, purchasing power erosion etc. If PBATs Government still pays this amount of fuel subsidy behind the curtains, then PBAT should suspend the Petrol subsidy removal. It's a shame and totally unacceptable to deceive your populace to endure whilst not being accountable. |
When Ningi started this budget issue, he had a well laid out strategy & I knew that Akpabio is gone. 1, His own people have denied him saying he can never execute a project of N21B in Akwa Ibom based on his antecedents in NDDC. 2, The Northern Senators have a major bloc even outside party line in the Senate and may work behind the scene to ensure a Northern representation. 3, The opposition parties in the senate the YPP, NNPP, PDP & LP will form a bloc against the Senate presidency of Akpabio. 4, The Nigerian public will use different media tools against Akpabio based on the N21B allocation. |
In the year 2011, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila the current Chief of Staff rejected the OFR national award by the Goodluck Jonathan Government. Hon. Gbajabiamila gave his reasons then based on a strong personal conviction on the calibre of people who were receipents of the award in the past. Gbaja became a Hero in the National Assembly for this singular act, he later became Majority Leader and Speaker in the House of Reps because he had the respect of the members for being upright. The opposition party in the National Assembly which are mainly the (PDP, Labour Party, NNPP & YPP) have the greatest opportunity now to pitch thier party by standing on the side of the people. N500m was shared amongst top ranking principal officers simple ! Yemi Adaramodu should save us the joke. Senator Opeyemi Bamidele from Ekiti agreed that the said amount was disbursed and challenged Nigerians to give them 12 MONTHS to execute the Constituency projects the funds were designed for. These same Legislators diverted N100m which PBAT provided as funds to cushion the effects of subsidy removal for vulnerable people by providing grains for the festivities of Dec., 2023 in their communities. The funds were padded into the budget obviously. The opposition lawmakers over to you. |
I guess the reporter or columnist is just sacarstic or trying to infiruate people to anger, The price of a bag of rice moved from N80,000 to N77,000 and the clown calls a three (3) thousand naira difference relief ? |
It may be a bitter pill to swallow but if an election is conducted today, the likelihood that Peter Obi will emerge as president is very low. As respected and loved as Femi Falana (SAN) is, he contested the elections in Ekiti State during the 2007 election and didn't even come second in the elections in Ekiti. No matter the optics and picture rendezvous, Elections are won with structure. Structure simply means you have people located in different locations that can go the extra mile for your campaign and course. Peter Obi hasn't gotten the structure to win an election in Nigeria. Nigeria is so diverse that the Socio-political segment of Nigeria has to be carefully understudied before you can win an election in Nigeria. An average northern muslim in Nigeria will never forget nor forgive Major. Kaduna Nzeogwu who is seen as an Igbo officer who affronted the whole north murdered the of Sardauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello in 1966. Since that incident, the North has had a silent resentment for the south east since 1966. Sir. Ahmadu Bello was the great-grandson of Uthman Dan Fodio as was seen as a revered symbol in the North. More like a Sage. If Peter Obi wants political leverage in the 2027 elections, he needs to strike a big accord with the core Muslim North and that's all. They have become a formidable political bloc in Nigeria. He also has to come clean and apologies to the North for 1966 |
Still trying to wrap my head around Irukera being tagged as "inefficient". I guess it's better the Government comes out clean on his misdemeanor or offence. The former FCCPCC boss seems to cut as a thorough bred public servant. Please what is his offence ? At least we are aware he made money for the FG to the tune of N120B through fines on BAT alone. Upon reviewing his credentials he seem to have worked with former VP Yemi Osinbajo as partner at Simmons Copper. The newly appointed acting FCCPC boss just seems to be playing to the gallery. |
World over, KPIs are measured by SMART objectives i.e Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound goals. Going through different social media handles including comments on Nairaland on this young Minister, He was accused of paying and financing publicists and PR specialist to hype his achievements. Its indeed disheartening but not surprising. This is no doubt the best performing Minister in PBAT regime as at today. His SMART achievements are clearly evident. Hon. Tunji-Ojo manages one of the most complex Ministries in PBATs regime and he has sent a clear signal to Nigerians that indeed things can work. From the Immigration passport office to the Prisons, this Minister in 90 Days achieved what Aregbesola didn't achieve in 8 years. He is Material for the future. I also give thumbs up to his media team for the good defence of their principal during his trial period with the Beta Edu case. |
There is no smoke without fire. The rumor has a source. Either to test waters on the people's reaction or it got leaked amongst plotters. The revelation of the Kaduna Nzeogwu led coup on January 15, 1966 and the counter coup led by Muritala Muhammed and T.Y Danjuma, would place any security agency on the edge. The Coups were discreet and was executed by Junior Military Officers who are more revolutionary and ruthless in execution. The rumor emanated from a source and it should be addressed immediately. |
PBAT should personally address this protest issue today. Not Gbajabiamila, this protest may lead to subsequent events that may bring down his Government. He should understand that there is fragile peace and the trigger the masses need are protests like this. Evidence of hardship is the recent stampede at the customs rice distribution initiative which cost six-(6) people their lives. People just scrambling for 25kg of rice. PBAT should not take this call for granted as there are subtle codes in this protest. |
Two major speeches that PBAT would always live to regret are ; 1, The Emilokan Speech 2, "Subsidy is gone". PBAT should call former President Goodluck Jonathan and apologise to him while seeking his genuine forgiveness. I guess Karma has a way of coming back full course. Afenifere is now calling on people of Yoruba extraction to avoid joining the hardship protest when indeed PBAT supported the "partial" subsidy removal protest led by civil society with Prof. Wole Soyinka, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Femi Falana (SAN) in attendance. That protest along with the ravaging of the North East by Boko haram cost President Goodluck Jonathan his second term and ushered APC into power. God is indeed a patient God. |
Wasky101:I doubt if the person you knack 2x2 for head is from Anambra bro. Anambarians that venture into any form of business either skilled or unskilled are always very successful. TVC news did a full edition documentary on Nnewi and discovered that they have the highest per capita billionaires in Nigeria. Its better you are guided on some statements. |
Former Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State did something similar in Ekiti State a when he built the first major Fly-over bridge between year 2015-2019 across the Okesha axis in Ado Ekiti. He instructed all those families with old structures around the Bridge area to give the old buildings a face-lift and change the roofs or his government would revoke thier Certificate of Occupancy and the old buildings would be demolished. Also same mandate was given to old un-occupied buildings in the axis. It was a huge success as all the old houses where given a face-lift and a drone view after the renovation gave better optics and a better urban-renewal life to Ado Ekiti. Prof. Charles Soludo has Urban renewal experts that he may consult . The Concept is used world over for Urban-Renewal. |
Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu cuts me like the Biblical Saul that saw "Light" and became Paul. I am indeed impressed by the Projects overdrive of the Lagos State Governor; Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He seems to want to outperform himself on Landmark projects. He also cuts as a listening public officer who undertakes daring and intimidating projects. His press interaction with Dr. Reuben Abati, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju and the GM of LTV on Thursday clearly shows that he has a detailed policy direction for his constituency -Lagos State till the end of his tenor. The suggestion on a "Light-Up Lagos" campaign with an emphasis on all the Street Lights within Lagos Metropolis been restored and working edifies the necessary urgent action not only to bring out the mega city status of ''Las-Gidi" but also to reduce the black spots in Lagos. A coordinated approach should be adopted in lighting-up Lagos and can also be contracted or outsourced to a dedicated agency to at least give Lagos that cosmopolitan look at night whilst ensuring the filth and garbage are also addressed. Congratulations Lagos. |
If truly the reforms are structural, there would be excruciating pains. The production improvement of crude oil from a -13% production rate in year 2022 to 12% in year 2023 accounting for a geometric increase of 25.5% then it's a commendable deliberate improvement. |
pappilo:Thanks Prof. But you are rude and also may not be intelligent too. Don't let me curse your family. |
seunmsg:Its a circular with specific recipients excluding the media. This memo was not intended to leak in the first place. |
They shouldn't bother themselves. PBAT was never the major choice of Nigerians including the civil servants. Late Mallam Abba Kyari the Chief of Staff to President Muhammad Buhari was more discreet and private than this bunch of clowns and still had his memo's leaked. Infact, the Office of the Chief of Staff was located directly in front of the C-in-C s office during Buhari's regime and it was rumored that Mallam Kyari took files personally to the former president and they still got leaked. This particular one also got leaked. Bunch of clowns. |
The MD of LAMATA - Engr. Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo has successfully built a strong and competent team of employees with the Blue line Rail stations. The staff are courteous, well dressed and customer-centric. They are also well trained and well mannered. For raising good managers and setting a good standard, she deserves a recognition even at national level. The bar should be maintained at the Red line stations. There should also be a broad based plan on security of the employees and train station. World over train stations are targets of terrorist attacks and it will be proactive for the Government to be security conscious. |
The unemployment data in Nigeria is directly correlated to the fuel subsidy removal and the FX unification regime no doubt. It will be like a camel passing through a needle's eye to run a profitable business in Nigeria especially in an import dependent environment like ours . On the other hand, I think Nigeria needs to carefully study the south eastern (Igbo tribe) model of business sustainability and profitability. In the last six (6) months of the economic hardship in Nigeria through hyper-inflation and the free-fall of the Naira, the south easterners have remained MUTE on the hardships faced by other tribes, and have assumed an observer role. I live in Lagos-Nigeria in an area densely populated by the Igbos & and I can testify that no igbo man has begged me for money in the last eight months in spite of the hardship, and none has also openly complained about being hungry and unemployed too within same period Instead, they smile to their shops and seek for more capital to stock more goods in their shops and warehouses, the greatest beneficiary of this economic hardship are the Igbos. As an observer, the adversity of the civil war has re-inforced a self sustaining mode of any environment they find themselves especially through commerce and business. Most genuine Igbo businessmen are not interested in your local politics except it negatively affects his business. Politicians should rather use their divisional hate propagation against the tribe but carefully study how to survive tough economic times with the Igbo tribe model. They are productive, the remain in business and also don't resort to begging. |
God bless Femi Falana (SAN) for this request and postulation. This will go a long way in reducing the blame game on the Federal Government Alone. The day I saw how much security votes go to Delta State, Katsina and Rivers, I wept for this country. The Governor of Osun State- Ademola Adeleke, had the temerity late last year Nov. 2023 to say publicly that the N2B intervention fund allocated to Osun State was intact two months after allocation by the FG. Again, it was also confirmed that N7B was given to all Governor's late last year as infrastructure fund. The death of Herbert Wigwe should humble most of these Governor's as nothing lasts forever. |
Assuming N5M (Five million naira) is budgeted as sitting allowance per member x 37 members for 3 (Three) sittings = N555M , Refreshments and drinks for three (3) sittings = N10M Hotel and Accomodation = N20M Grand Total = N585M approximately N600M The above assumption is prejudiced on the 37 (Thirty Seven) committee members earning N5M per sitting and having three (3) sittings before April 1, 2024. Even Boards of major blue-chip organisations like FMCG, IT, Banks, FINTECH etc earn partly sums with an average of N2m-N5M per sitting depending on the frequency of its Board meetings. This leaked Memo is self- indicting and may trigger more anger in the land since approval is coming directly from PBAT himself. Why can't the committee members mainly composed of siting Ministers, Manufacturers, Labour Union, Trade Groups etc work voluntarily and see this assignment as a national call of duty to save the poor and under-employed civil servants who have sacrificed a partly N30,000 monthly minimum wage in the midst of the worst hyperinflation and devalued currency regime in Nigerians modern history. This memo depicts unpatriotism, wastefulness, double-faced pretentious frugality and insensitivity to the current national mood. This expense should be pruned down further or outrightly cancelled as the committee is ad-hoc and all members should see the assignment as a patriotic call to honour . Haba !!! N1B can do a lot for the poor masses who currently linger in severe hardship. MarketDispatch: |
It's a shame and so de-tasteful that the EFCC has shown it's bias for media trial and prosecution. Enough of the Emefiele witch-hunt. His major offence was the Naira re-design policy which PBAT believe was an affont on his presidential ambition prior to the General Election. The EFCC cannot claim that Emefiele and his family solely ran the country bankrupt. Let the EFCC declare the following politicians wanted in such manner, then we'll know they mean business and are fighting corruption head-on . The list include , 1, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. 2, Bello Metawalle 3, Abubakar Malami 4, Hajiya Sadiq Abubakar 5, Tunde Saibu 6, Godswill Akpabio 7, Mele Kyari 8, Sirika Hadi 9, Orji Uzor Kalu 10, All former Governors Under PMBs regime. PBAT also forgot that delegates benefited from the dollar largesse of the APC primaries that brought him to power as such the introduction of the redesign policy. EFCC should do a soul searching exercise and cut the crap on media trial. |
Only an unwise person will say he doesn't know this post is sponsored by the same set of people who want this country to crumble by all means. The passport racketeering syndicate is a big cartel that would bring anybody that wants to remove their corrupt means of livelihood down by all means. Its over for the Cartel and Hon. Tunji Ojo has succeeded already. His KPI and assessment ratings are high. Grapevine has it that some officers daily at the Immigration passport office make as much as N300,000 daily especially in Lagos State. Let the man breath please. |
It's obvious now that the greatest Nigerian leader of Yoruba descent deviod of nepotism, a true statesman with an international diplomatic status remains Lt. Gen Olusegun Obasanjo (Rtd). The Muslim-Muslim ticket backfired, now PBAT will realize the southern practiced Islam is different from the Jihadist northern Islam. In just eight months, PBAT has shattered Buhari's negative economic, security and diplomatic errors. Security is in shambles, the economy is bleeding and our smaller neighbours have started taking us for granted. I pity Tinubu right now. The north has decided to show him pepper. |
Under PBATs watch the Naira (N) has become the worst currency in Africa and the third worst currency in the whole world just behind Lebanese Dollars & Argentinas Peso. Baba should take this as a very big challenge to repair the economy. |
