Politics › Re: World Bank Says Inflation Will Push 2.8 Million Nigerians Into Poverty by Lanruze: 4:15pm On Nov 22, 2023
This statement is not sentimental or biased.

With the current hyper-inflation and import driven economy that Nigeria is running, also going through the World Bank and MSETF projection, I want PBAT and his cabinet to be very careful.

This data and statistics are bleak and scary. Multi dimensional poverty in rural Nigeria is at an all time high.

Cushioning pallatives fraudulently cornered by Politicians and insensitive State Governors have put the Government in Bad light.

Some state governors are accused of still warehousing the over N3B disbursed to them and accruing Bank interest which they illegally gain.

The recent Judicial events upturning some opposition parties election is also being debated.

PBAT is playing with a high tension naked wire and he may not be able manage the situation if becomes a full blown revolt.

At this stage palliatives, food security and energy / power reforms should be top priority.
Politics › Re: 'Lopsided Appointments': Asari Dokubo Warns President Tinubu In New Video by Lanruze:
I may not be a fan of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but for this particular move that Asari Dokubo claims to be disgruntled, I respect PBAT for pushing him far away.

As a politician the first rule is that you manage both information and public conduct on sensitive topical issue. An african proverb states that " those who don't have control of their mouth never go far in life". PBAT is a political strategist and also has advisers who advise him on public conduct and image

Asari Dokubo went on a mouth-running xenophobic spree against Tompolo, Arise TV morning show presenters, the entire Igbo Tribe and the sitting Governor of Rivers State after his visit to PBAT in Aso Rock.

After the series of drama and embolden negative public conduct of Asari, PBAT shut him out, according to the 48 laws of power he is "fast to talk and not swift to hear".

Agreed, Tinubu has lopsided appointments, but Asari's agitation is personal and also self induced, He has shown that he can't be trusted with information and public conduct.

Tinubu has also decided to share the pipeline guarding projects with states -Tompolo (Delta), Asari, Tom Ateke and Boylof also sharing other states in the Niger Delta.

So what else does he want ?

Law of Karma is haunting Asari and hope he controls his mouth modestly.
Family › Re: Moving On With Life After Divorce. How Do You Cope? by Lanruze: 11:03am On Nov 04, 2023
If you are fortunate to have very enlightened and wise parents they will always advice you to spot red flags at the early stage of courtship.

The bitter truth is that no one heals totally from a divorce. I mean no one !

Happy marriages is the main target of the Devil himself.

The devil knows that the pain, regret, hurt, ailments and social deviance that comes with divorce is excruciating.

Studies from cardiologist reveal that aside from lifestyle and genetics, divorced people without a dedicated workplan have the highest prevelence of developing HBP.

The western world respected the African system of marriage as it was hierarchial and harmonious.

However, modernisation and westernization have altered the balance of the marriage structure.

In summary, it's better to have a broken relationship than a broken marriage as every party ends up getting hurt.
Politics › Re: FG To Review Migration, Visa Policies – Tunji-Ojo by Lanruze:
The review of the visa policy and visa on arrival reciprocity has to be highlighted for citizens to be educated on the current challenge of the Nigerian Int'l passport.

Nigeria has one of the weakest passports in the world.

There is a lot of stigmatisation attached to the Nigerian passport and its evident once you step out of the country with the level of scrutiny and search you have to undergo.

Nigeria has a projected population of 200m people presenting a huge potential and market for investments from both international and domestic investors.

The Ikeja, Ilupeju, Agbara and Amuwo Odofin Industrial axis in Lagos is dominated by foriegn Asian Companies same with the free trade zone in Lekki and our Mining sector.

The Nigerian passport has visa-on- arrival privilege to access only 25(Twenty Five) countries in the world. Its disgraceful, distasteful and embarrassing to say the least.

Even China that enjoys so many business privileges' doesn't grant Nigerians visa-on -arrival. The Chinese dominate our construction, textile and automobile business and can't reciprocate.

Nigerians have to pay millions to dump their citizenship through investments, or education route as our International passport is constantly been disrespected globally.

A well coordinated approach through the Interior Ministry, NIDCOM and the Ministry of foreign affairs would be a right approach to re-branding our already tainted passport image globally.

Imagine Nigerians dumping thier citizenship for smaller countries like Grenada, St Kitts, Antigua, Bermuda because of the number of countries that grant visa-on-arrival to these countries.
Romance › Re: What Lesson Have You Learnt From Women? by Lanruze: 5:45pm On Oct 22, 2023
For intending married people, note that a woman will make you or ruin you simple.

When you look directly in the eye balls, skin, composure, outlook and dress sense of Man, it is greatly influenced by his choice of the Woman he has chosen and how he Manages them.

To the young men it's advisable to have a handful of female friends as it will assist in handling and management of women.

Lastly flee from Women with very bitter past experiences you will end up as a Man being the " Laboratory Rat".
Politics › Re: Industries Battle For Survival As Dollar Hits N1,155 by Lanruze: 12:46pm On Oct 20, 2023
As a patriotic Nigerian, I would advise the Federal Government to directly intervene in the FX and the fuel subsidy removal crisis immediately.

There is a very strong cabal behind both weaknesses of both policies and it will ignite anarchy in the short run.

Both policies have negatively affected the fabric of household and the N75K palliative may not be sufficient as the brewing anger in the land may explode soon.

Irrespective of tribe and political leanings, the populace feel the direct impact of both policie. Nigeria is import dependent and also a large domestic consumer of PMS.

I will advise PBAT to suspend the FX unification policy as it has obviously not been effective and re-invest proceeds from the subsidy removal strategically in the export of crude-oil and its derivatives.

The demand for Nigerian crude-oil derivatives is so huge that a glut in our production capacity affects the global price of crude oil

The price of crude oil and its derivatives continues to spike northwards based on the Ukrainian war & also the Israeli-Palestine conflict.

Dangote refinery should ensure the feedstock from NNPCL is purely from our oil wells to give the country its full benefit of the oil proceed whilst earning good FX in the short term.

Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, kuwait, UAE etc have grown thier countries revenues from this mono-product which has transformed them to super rich nations.

To Aliko Dangote, ignore all the negative noise about your relationship with the embattled CBN governor, Dangote has been positioned through his refinery to assist his homeland patriotically with his refinery.

In the short term, the refinery has been positioned to earn good forex especially to Non-OPEC Members that solely relied on Russian Crude derivatives like gas, DPK, Jet A1, petro-chemicals etc.

The Dangote refinery alone can be a game changer in the short run to stabilise our FX earnings.
Travel › Re: Lagos Blue Line Trains Now Run On Electricity (Videos). by Lanruze:
If this were a private run business, I can assure to you that it would be a very profitable one.

Over Five (5)Million cowry cards sold and 80,000 passengers with less than 2 coaches in one (1) month. This was when it was powered by diesel.

This should be one of the most appreciated and profitable projects embarked on by a sub-national in Nigeria.
Business › Re: CBN To Intervene In Forex Market, Lifts Ban On 43 Items by Lanruze: 10:54am On Oct 13, 2023
You are very correct on this one.

However, as part of the manifesto of the current PBAT regime, he consistently campaigned on the re-introduction of the Price Control Board and also the declaring Food Security as a national emergency elevating it at National Security level which had priority of the (National Council of State, NCS).

Recall that the customs impounded a consignment from Thailand which flooded Nigeria with sub-standard Rice that had stayed up to two (2) years in the warehouse and had cancerogenous elements in the past.

Encouraging importation of goods you can produce to stabilise price and push inflation will only have a short-term gain. Importers will have access to the I&E window gradually reducing demand for the parallel market.

On the Long run, the Naira will still be subject to depreciation as an import dependent nation of finished goods.

We have to be cautiously optimistic on this particular policy as it may be counter productive than the petroleum subsidy regime. Importation leads to job loss and a docile economy.

Price control of these locally produced items would have been a more strategic approach to inflation and FX demand fluctuation.

Nigerian inflation is largely fuelled by food scarcity
Politics › Re: Passports Still Take 6 Months To Process In Lagos, Despite Minister’s Claims by Lanruze:
The Hon. Minister of Interior knows the implication of giving false data on sensitive issues especially on a National scale.

From the feedback on the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) website, a high percentage of the passport applicants who had their capture within the backlog period testified that their international passports have been produced, while few others complained of thiers still under processing.

As the profile of this particular Minister is being projected positively as a goal getter and performance driven no-nonsense technocrat, I would like to advice him to be very careful whilst remaining firm and focused.

Negative people & naysayers would want him to fail, Even within the Cabinet of the Government he is currently serving. He has started well by showing a distinction from other Ministers.

In three (3) weeks he has created a positive image for the immigration with same set of employees but a different approach which is technology driven.

Let the Minister be aware that corruption will fight him back strongly. The immigration passport office is one of the most corrupt organisation in Nigeria.

This model of passport issuance will eliminate racketeering as such the beneficiaries of this corruption will fight back in all ways.

I also listened to his interview on the unification of our National Identity Management model similar to that of Homeland Security in the USA.

I was super impressed on how Hon.Bunmi-Ojo navigates between policy change and technology.

His intentions are well articulated and he shows a clear policy direction.

He has achieved what his predecessor couldn't achieve in four (4) years under 30 days of resumption , sure he will replicate same in the other MDAs under his supervision.
Business › Re: CBN To Intervene In Forex Market, Lifts Ban On 43 Items by Lanruze:
Adams Oshiomole opined and suggested that the CBN should have a composition of sound economists and not just ex-Bankers who were undertakers to liquidated Banks, he clearly had his fears on the depth of technical know how of the Helmsmen at the Apex Bank.

The new CBN Governor-Mr. Cardoso had better been expressly cautioned on this very ill-advised route he is about to embark on.

No country in history has ever stabilised its FX regime on imports. None !

The CBN Governor may adopt the following policies and suggestion immediately.

1, Monetary Policy should be objective and goal specific on Exports. The elementary knowledge of Economics is simple "the higher the export of finished good you have a comparative advantage, the higher the value of your currency".

Oman,Kuwait and Saudi Arabia all have their currencies with higher exchange rate value than the US Dollar.

These countries are mono-product economies. They produce derivates from crude oil. Fuel, DPK, Jet A1 etc.

They have been able to expand their economies purely on its exploitation of crude oil and it's finished products.

The Nigerian Fed. Govt. through NNPC owns 20% equity in Dangote Refinery.

At full production of its installed output, Dangote Refinery has the capacity to push down the Nigerian FX rate by 30% in three (3) months if well articulated.

The Bonny light crude oil from the Niger Delta region is one of the most sought after crude based purely on its low sulphur content and also low emission of carbon & harmful elements to the environment.

As the Ukraine War persist, and the blockage by NATO of the Black Sea and the Cramerian border, The Global demand for our refined derivates including PMS is considerably high globally.

Non-OPEC members have expressed interest before hand in our refined crude and its demand will push down the FX positions automatically.

The embattled former Governor of the CBN Emefiele may have been corrupt but not stupid.

Drive Exports of finished products intentionally through both intervention programs and articulated polices and watch the naira gain massive traction.
Politics › Re: Tinubu’s Economic Policies Not Living Up To Expectation – Financial Times by Lanruze: 11:45am On Oct 10, 2023
The story of Jerry Rawlings and how he reshaped the economy and fortunes of Ghana is the closet case study to how to measure the trend and direction of a government which has a high probability to succeed.

On assumption of office, Jerry Rawlings clearly showed he had prepared very serious revolutionary policies and actions. He inherited clearly one of the most corrupt bureaucratic governments in Africa and took immediate action by placing his three (3) predecessors on military trial on corruption charges . They were found guilty of corruption charges , sentenced to death for corruption and summarily executed.

A British reporter on the event confirmed that the whole Nation went totally silent for a whole year. Jerry Rawlings succeeded in creating an immediate impression and sent a strong message to "intending" corrupt prone officials. His long stay in power stabilized the Ghanaian economy whilst creating an international reputation as a serious government.

Let's be guided and manage our expectations on the PBAT tenor, He already started on a very shaky footing. His two policies on the Unification of the FX market & subsidy removal were badly timed. It will take a well coordinated strategic plan/ miracle to stabilise the economy on the medium term.

If not for the intervention of the National House of Assembly, the government would have worsened the situation with the introduction of hike in Electricity tariff across board.

PBATs justification for appointing some barefaced corrupt characters in his cabinet and also support for corrupt officials at Party level has made the Emefiele episode perceived as a mere witchunt.

The New York times Observation on PBATs policies is magnifying the obvious domesticated plight of Nigerians in the last four(4) months.

We'll pray he takes a detour on some of his clearly faulty policies or hard-headedly continues in self destruct.

Kudos to Honorable Tunji-Ojo who continues to inspire the hope of the people with his clearly articulated policies on passport issuance, unifying identity management (Using the Homeland USA model) and visa-on arrival reciprocity.

Sam Larry & Naira Marley should not be left off the hook.

They still contributed immensely to his deteriorating health and was why he petitioned the Police.

Mohbad was hypertensive and had BP spikes as a result of fear of attack and repraisal from Naira Marley.

He performed the Night before and we saw his videos during '' D General's Bitter " concert a night before looking healthy.

Ear palpitations are symptoms of a high blood pressure as such the ear infection warranting the injection was cause by the High pressure of blood in his system.

The CP has done well by revealing the cause of death, however the autopsy would reveal the underlying ailment which triggered such reaction leading to death.

For the first time I praise the Nigerian Police on this one.

Sam Larry & Naira Marley remain major suspect in the death of Mohbad and they should be treated as such.

If the police release them to the public they will be lynched to death.

The NPF have done well.....Infact very well by handling the issue maturely, professionally and legally.

Kudos to the NPF.
Politics › Re: Again, FG Invites NLC To Another Meeting Today by Lanruze: 3:03pm On Oct 01, 2023
With the Independence Day broadcast by the President, I urge the NLC and TUC to embark on the indefinite strike.

Let's face the reality, things have never ever been this bad in Nigeria.

In just four (4) months all indices and Data have been outrightly Negative. I am so sure that even the new Ministers sworn in are overwhelmed by the realities and speed at which they are expected to turn-around and execute deliverables.

Since the assumption of PBAT the only saving face as practical achievement is in the Ministry of Interior where the new Minister Hon. Olubunmi Ojo can be seen as someone who hit the ground running with a sense of direction. Backlogs of International passport requests are now been cleared with evidence from Applicants. It has taken him just one month to put up this excellent performance.

Inflation is at the highest in the recent history of Nigeria, Economic Migration is at a staggering pace, poverty indexes are on a high and the middle class have all of a sudden disappeared.

The test sampling of the failure of the Tinubu Govt has become more obvious with the recent sharing of Palliative amongst the poorest of the poor and vulnerable. Politicians have in thier usual manner cornered the commonwealth for personal gain making the program and excercise in vain.

Time will tell which direction PBAT is crusing towards. Self destruct or People empowerment.
Celebrities › Re: Mohbad: How Police Picked Up Sam Larry From Lagos Airport On Arrival From Kenya by Lanruze: 8:14pm On Sep 29, 2023
Sam Larry remains a Major person of interest in the death of Mohbad.

He had a petition with a his name exclusively mentioned by Mohbad himself as a threat to his life till he eventually lost his life.

Unfortunately for Sam Larry, he was also reported in a podcast which had Daddy Showkey in attendance as a serial bully with video evidence from more than 20 boys around Oniru and Lagos Island on Molestation and threat to life .

He took those boys to Alpha Beach with the assistant of lieutenant " Ogidiga" to torment and molest those boys. The boys in the podcast claimed Sam Larry had a direct relationship with DPOs in Police Station whilst getting the nickname as "King of Settlement".

In the podcast, He was said to have constantly maintained a chain of gang members who torment and unleash mayhem on preys.

I would suggest that the Nigerian Police Force thread with the highest form of caution as Sam Larry would be a pawn in thier game if they are not careful. It's a super delicate issue for them.

Sam Larry remains the major suspect in Mohbad's death. Hypertension for a twenty seven (27) year old is unusual and suspect. Also in Mohbad's songs he provably sang on his fears.

Sam Larry & Naira Marley triggered an underlying ailment in a young man which may have led to his untimely demise.

He must account for his actions. Simple

Can someone also plead with Kemi Olunloyo to keep her filthy hands and mouth shut. We know she is Naira Marley's fan.

He was reported bullied last month August, 2023 when he was billed to perform. Naira Marley Bois told him not to come to London. Mohbad knew exactly who was after him and video evidence show they came after him physically on three separate recorded occasions.

I carefully read through your write-up and complaint and from the write-up alone, the whole problem has been detected.

Have balls Man.

Your write up shows you grew up in the midst of women or you chose a wrong mentor.

The most attractive feature of a Man is showing leadership and direction for your family and spouse. You don't show it by saying "sisi" things like you don't drink, smoke, womanise, keep late nights etc.

Who cares ? Man up and behave like a real man. Toughen up. She knows your weakness already and you are very predictable.

Most women don't find predictable Men attractive, even if you are a provider and spend on them. When you begin to ask for sex and get resistance regularly, it's a big red flag.

My advice is this; Watch Nat Geo Wild and see how the Lion pride is run by the Lion himself, you will understand what being a Man is.

Secondly, define a period of maybe sometime and change your behavior. You may keep spontaneous late nights, don't ask her for sex at all for a certain period. Eat out and tell her not to bother cooking that you are fine.

Check her reaction after like a month if it was effective or not.

The love language of some women is different from others.

Prof. Charles Soludo is one of the most respected person of Igbo extraction globally.

His contributions to global macro-economic and fiscal policy formulation has been recognized by the World Bank, Harvard Business School, Oxford, IMF, Nigerian Economic forum, UNN and others.

Through his Banking Consolidation program whilst raising the Minimum capital Base of Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) to N25B, Banks became globally competitive and improved retail expansion across Nigeria creating tons of Jobs for young graduates between year 2005-2007.

We also observe his wisdom and transition to mainstream Nigerian politics where he is using his goodwill and influence to bring development to Anambra State.

Prof. Charles Soludo has the experience, goodwill and international influence to make Anambra an investors delight and we trust he would not let his admirers down, especially those who benefited from his Banking Consolidation policy and are now Top executives in commercial Banks.

The aggregate wealthiest businessmen in Nigeria are from Anambra State. He should run an all-inclusive Government.

From Wizkid, Davido, Burna, Tiwa, Falz, AY, Basketmouth, Terry G, Tuface Idibia,Victor Oshiemen etc. Lagos as a Megacity provided a spring board for the berthing of all these legends metamorphosing into global icons from the "street smartness" of the city.

The success story of Asake through Yhemo Lee also comes into mind. Yhemo Lee admitted that his migration to Lagos from his comfort zone in Ife, Osun State was the breakthrough that birthed an exponential exploit of Asake's Musical career in one year.

The potential of a youthful Lagos cannot be pushed aside because of its urbane, cosmopolitan and populous nature.

You see, when you fail to plan before execution you plan to fail.

The above is the cost of just one statement " Subsidy is gone".

No cosmetic or intervention financial model can influence the price of the Naira (N) except real production and export of finished goods.

Going through the petitions against Nasir- El rufai, he may not be generally appreciated and accepted, but he still remains one of the most intelligent egg-heads in the Ministerial list of PBAT no doubt.

In all public offices El- rufai has led, his performance has been exceptional. He combines technocratic and political influence assertively without fear or favour.

From the BPE to FCT and Kaduna Government house, his strides and initiatives were breakthrough performances which are evident till date.

He is one person who embarks on continuous self development. His over 10 certifications from Harvard back to back clearly shows a person hungry for knowledge.

After he carefully understudied the Lagos IGR model, he grew the IGR of Kaduna State exponentially during his tenor and surpassed budgeted projection for 2019,2020, and 2011.

He moved Kaduna to the state with the 4th highest IGR state in Nigeria.

He also has same stint in the FCT where he had to re-organise the city to fit it's initial Master plan which is still evident till date.

His religious views may be fundamentalist, but as minister his brief and scope of duty is his Ministry as such there will be no violation of rights.

He would be an impactful minister as his capacity is not in doubt and we need fearless Men like him to get the job done.

Let the security agencies give him the benefit of doubt. His wealth of public service experience and fearless approach to problem solving will excite other Ministers in the cabinet.

As Chairman ECOWAS, PBAT has the full discretion on how to convey his message; either talk tough or negotiate. It's his total discretion as the President.

However, President Tinubu should swallow the humble pie and halt the plans for a Military intervention in Niger.

PBAT has no single direct experience in Warfare and Counter Warfare. PBAT has no Military background simple.

All Military interventions for West Africa through ECOMOG were done by Military rulers from Obasanjo to Babangida, and Abacha to Buhari.

All these Military rulers had a sound Military background and were also Generals i.e they had commanded Battalions and Division. All four Generals fought directly in the Civil War and backed the Federal Troops as such they had a direct Military background.

The coup d'etat prevelence in West Africa has a Multi-Dimensional twist. The West( US, EU & the UK) see democracy as a subset of capitalism and they will go any mile to protect democracy, In this case through regional blocs like ECOWAS & AU.

On the other hand all countries experiencing coups recently are french colonies with a dominant Muslim population and flair for the Islamic Jihadist doctrine. As such the invasion will be counter productive.

Let PBAT humbly convey a " Council of State" meeting with all former Military Heads of State in Attendance. From Gen. Yakubu Gowon, President Buhari, President Olusegun Obasanjo and Babangida . They are all War veterans and have the respect of the international community. They have also hands-on experience on financing , Manpower assigning and delivery of ECOMOG.

Gen Buratai also commanded the United Nations MNJTF which covered the Sahel region as such would have advisory on the subject.

The Senate has done well as the country would have embarked on an unprepared affront.

A certain TV talk show anchor who always defends PBAT logically and at times blindy boastfully said the rest period post election for PBAT was to make consultation and headhunt talents for the " Team" he would assemble as Ministers when he formally assumes power on May 29, 2023.

Indeed, the same TV talk show host said if PBAT assembles a team of familiar, incompetent, and unsellable characters he would be called out. In all fairness the second batch of Ministers presented seems the president is bewitched.

All the former Governors on this list from Lalong to Bagudu shows that PBAT has lost the sense of taste and bite he displayed when he was Lagos Governor.

All round non- performers and losers on this list. The list is nauseating, irritating and to an average discerning political expert disgraceful.

An example of Former Governor Oyetola of Osun whose election removal by Ademola Adeleke was openly celebrated with thanksgiving by majority of Osun State civil servants is on the Ministerial list representing Osun.

Amongst the former Governors , Nasir El rufai stands out as the only outstanding talent. He has shown exemplary hunger for self development and performance. He gathered additional certifications from Harvard back to back in his quest for self development. He stands out gallantly and I have no doubt he will prove a point with his appointment.

I rest my case on the other former governors.

NLC and the FG should be very careful in Managing this particular protest action by the Nigerian Workers.

Nigerians have never been this impoverished by a policy in the last 15 years.

The Tinubu Administration claims the cash swap policy of Emefiele bore excruciating pains to the citizenry but in reality the Fuel subsidy removal has been more catastrophic.

Most middle income salary earners in the last two(2) months exhaust thier income before 15th of the month leaving a trail of begging and devising all other survival tactics to reduce the hardship.

As a result of flared tempers, this protest may bring down this Government if not properly managed with dispatch. The hunger in the Land is evident and also the opposition will find an easy prey in hijacking this protest.

This is Karma at it's peak for PBAT as he supported same protest against President Goodluck Jonathan.

His reelection as the Governor prove that he endeared people and humbly too.

I wish he pays attention to inner city roads through his LCDA and LGs.

Thank you Gov. It's an appreciable and thoughtful step.

HBD Prof.

Amongst citizens of Igbo extraction, Prof Soludo and Dr. Okonjo Iweala have some of the most intimidating Academic Credentials.

Soludo had outstanding and stellar academic performances from Primary School till his PhD.

His Banking Consolidation program through the CBN remains one of the biggest achievements of the Obj regime, making the Nigerian Banking Sector globally competitive and creating jobs then for young graduates.

Hope he will replicate same in his home state Anambra which is said to have the highest billionaire cluster per Capita in Nigeria.

HBD Sir.
