During Dr. John Kayode Fayemi's second (2nd) term in office i.e from Year 2018- 2022, Ekiti state coordinator of the Anti-Grazing Agency- Sola Durodola warned his principal (JKF) on the probability of conflicts between herders and farmers. He advised the EKSG on a headcount register of all herders in Ekiti-State when a clash happened in the year 2019 within the Ikole-Ekiti Axis.

The JKF Administration rather than heed to Sola Durodola advise suspended him from office and he was warned not to cause apprehension amongst the herders by thwarting the registration initiative.

Dr. John Kayode Fayemi was accused by Ekiti indigenes as taking the step to suspend the Ekiti State Anti-grazing Co-ord. so that he would not incur the wrath of former President Mohammad Buhari. Grapevine also claimed the former Governor received calls from the centre to temper down on the Herders registration issue to avoid unease and apprehension. Fayemi was also accused of turning a deaf ear as a result of his earlier presidential ambition.

The results are evident as the same set of people have been accused of masterminding this sacrilegious, despicable and abominable act on Yoruba soil. Never has such happened in one day where Tradition, Culture and divinity would be affronted barefaced on Ekiti soil.

The late Governor of Ondo State Aarakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu adopted a no-nonsense approach towards the Herders/ farmer issue and agitated for the strengthening of a coordinated regional security network.

The Governor of Ekiti State should note that if the executors and masterminders of this act will be apprehended it will be by the Locals and Amotekun.The Army has two checkpoints along the Ikole Route as a result of insecurity. The savannah vegetation and fallow landmass along the IPAO EKITI-IKOLE EKITI axis makes the soil attractive for herding livestock. The presence of herdsmen in that axis is higher than other regions in Ekiti State.

My candid advice for the SW Governors is to headhunt retired Military personnel with strategic capacity of handling local intelligence into Amotekun. Amotekun's security architecture fortifies of all forests and reserve areas along the six(6) core southwestern states.

Laws for a special category of Amotekun members to carry light ammunition should be enacted as they face superior firepower most times.

The Blue Rail line remains the most successful project embarked upon by the Sanwo- Olu led Government.

Last December 2023, most diasporan who visited Nigeria especially those who live in the UK commended the ambience of the station & the coaches.

Infact, a UK based traveller noted that the coaches are cleaner than those plying the London Underground.

The Blue line passenger customer experience rate is above 80% and commendation should be given to LAMATA as few Government Agencies run efficiently as they do.

The Red line will be projected to convey more passengers as the axis is densely populated with Alimosho LG having the largest LG population in Lagos & Nigeria.

I will advise a dedicated barricade on the train tracks since they are powered by electricity to avoid mortality.

A high percentage of the people in the Agbado-Iddo Axis are low income earners and may need a more detailed approach to educating them on the dangers of exposure to the tracks.

2, NNPCs mandate is protecting domestic energy security, scanning the globe for the marketability of crude grades. NNPC also explores, produces, refines oil, and markets and retails petroleum products.

3, Its only logical and wise that CBN should statutorily have been empowered and mandated by law to manage remittance from crude sales since it comes in FX. The more the direct inflow of FX into CBN, The greater the strength of the CBN to defend the naira daily as the higher the volume of FX the CBN has in its vault daily, the higher its propensity to get sweet GREENBACK from IOCs.

4, With this initiative the exchange rates will be better defended by the naira daily with a reduction in the dollar value appropriately.

5, With the coming on stream of the Dangote Refinery and more inflow from the sale of refined derivates and PMS, the remittance to the CBN would also ensure that the real value of the naira is determined.

6, Good thinking PBAT and congratulations in advance to the Naira.

Ekiti is a state I personally pass through regularly.

Kayode Fayemi's first term (1st) as Executive Governor between 2010-2014 had one of the most impressive expanse of Federal Road Networks in Ekiti State.

From Omuo-Aramoko and from Ilawe- Otun Ekiti the roads where superhighways . As a fact, buses where routed from neighbouring states like Kogi and Kwara state and inter-city travellers prefered the Ekiti (Ifaki-Oye-ikole-Omuo) axis as the journey was enjoyable and faster to Abuja.

The Governor of Ekiti- State Abiodun Oyebanji should consult his Godfather and also build strategic relationships with influential people in government that will make projects happen faster.

Abiodun Oyebanji the present Governor is accused of the Elite in Ekiti of being a "local champion" and not being firm enough in his government Administration.

Kindly don't get over-excited with the new role of a " class-captain" you have been nominated for in such a hurry for the following reasons as your proposal of engaging one hundred and forty (140) personel to assess the performance of Forty Seven (47) Ministers with MDAs clearly shows you a foundational issue and the following facts listed below;

1, Your principal- PBATs policy on PMS subsidy removal and FX unification were policies introduced before ministerial nomination.

Note that both policies brought the nation to it's knees totally. No Minister could ever perform magic within the so called review period ( Excluding Hon. Tunji-Ojo of the Interior Ministry).

2, KPIs, deliverables , assessments and dashboard performances are to measure productivity of employees and it is done regularly in the private sector. It is a fully automated work flow and it's fool-proof. The Job of Hajiya Hadiza would be better if it's outsourced to a reputable HR firm which will be more authentic ,objective and provide more detailed analysis on the performance outcomes than a Government agency.
Technology will reduce overhead cost of personnel.

3, The Financial budget for MDAs in the fisical year 2024 can never be used as benchmark. Nigeria is an import dependent nation currently with the third (3rd) worse currency in the world behind the Argentinan peso and Lebanon currency. Most contracts were prepared with a Benchmark price of N800-$1 whilst FX rates continues to propel price inflation to an all- time high of over 30%.

4, Automation of the performance management process for the SSA-Policy coordination wiill have only boxes to be ticked by Civil Servants (P.S to Directors) & feedback from citizens who enjoy such service. Touch points in informal places e.g Airports, Customs, NRC,Govt Hospitals, passport offices, Food Agencies etc will be presented to Nigerians for direct feedback.

5, In practicality, of ALL ministers and public servants sworn-in by PBAT only the Minister of Interior, Minister of Works and the embattled FCCPC CEO have obvious achievements. Other public officers need to be encouraged.

6, In a broader perspective, The FG led by PBAT should also be assessed objectively: Food prices, Multi- dimensional excruciating poverty, power supply glut, insecurity, corruption, the worst FX regime in Nigerian history, Manufacturing sector collapse etc.

The justification for the relocation of some departments in CBN and FAAN should be managed by PBAT as a highly sensitive issue to his political career and internal security of the country.

The 1966 counter-coup and later the civil war was amplified as a result of the Supreme Military council's decree on Unification which the northerns perceived as a military policy to take power from Northern region and concentrate power in the centre which had the capital in Lagos State.

This misinterpretation of the Unification decree led to the counter coup masterminded by then Lt. Col. T.Y Danjuma, Lt. Col. Muritala Mohammed and Major. Adamu with the support of the Northern elite.

The policy was well intended but misinterpreted by the North and it cost Agunyi Ironsi his government and ultimately a million lives were lost during the biafran war.

President Tinubu will not joke with his support base in the North on the alter of defending Dr. Betta Edu especially since he intends running for second term.

As for poverty alleviation, I did not see any specific plans or programmes for poverty alleviation. I recall when Dr Magnus Kpakol when he was in charge of National Poverty Eradication Program (NAPEP) who popularized what was then known as keke marwa to Keke NAPEP. Till this day, some people still call them Keke NAPEP.

Betta Edu ought to have come up with sensible poverty alleviation schemes to empower people instead of foolishly paying out cash and awarding nonsense contracts to that big head Olubunmi Tunji Ojo. If Betta Edu wanted to make money, she could have made clean money through the purchase of empowerment items without hurting the government. 1, The candid advice I would give PBAT is to "keep the Cabinet the way it is for a minimum of two (2) years".

2, The ideal Performance Management confirmation model is run for two (2) years minimum review period of six (6) months.

3, PBAT had already created a tight and overwhelming position for his appointees with introduction of Fuel Subsidy and the unification of the FX regime.

5, All companies that benefited from the subsidy regime.
6, All former Governors in Buhari's regime etc.

After personal findings from the Banks, MDAs, Remita ,CBN and OAGF summary was that on daily basis, Politicians, Civil Servants and Contractors get paid into individual accounts for DTAs, Workshops, Seminars, Projects and capital expense which receipts are produced for further retirement.

Let a foresinc audit be conducted on remita to find out how many MDAs pay into individual accounts daily. The numbers are revealing and staggering.

He took British American Tobacco (BAT) to court over unfair marketing tactics against smaller competition through his agency FCCPC and won over $110m compensation from BAT.

Based on current exchange rate, it's over N120B and has been claimed by British American Tobacco to be fully paid.

The Project accountant -Ms. Bridget Oniyelu is a staff of the OAGF and was specifically employed to monitor projects for the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs . She gave feedback to the Accountant General of the federation independent of the Minister.

Ms. Bridget Oniyelu was reported to have been the person who disbursed funds in the past for the Ministry projects ,and the Minister went ahead to approve funds to be disbursed to her personal account for speed of execution for the Christmas & New Year festivities.

This was a pure process / procedural error Dr. Betta Edu inherited.

The Minister followed the "usual" practice without further clarifications from more experienced civil servants who genuinely could cover her inexperience on the extant laws of public procurement.

The Accountant General was said to have guided the Minister through writing on the extant laws which includes Conditional Cash Transfer through Bank accounts alone.

The Memo got leaked from the OAGF and Boom....All hell let loose.

However, Dr. Betta Edu claims to have a presidential blanket approval for the expense. So let's wait for the investigation to be concluded.

Dr. Beta Edu may be a very brilliant Medical Doctor but fell into a Big trap which was set up for her by the NSIPA -National Social Investment Programme Agency, National Coordinator- Halima Shehu.

1, Anyone who knows the Civil Service well knows that this is corruption fighting Back with it's full cylinders.

2, The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs- Dr. Beta Edu revealed the fraud perpetuated by the NC- NSIPA through " various multiple" accounts and contractors under her Ministry to the tune of N44B to the presidency.

4, In corruption fighting back, this memo prepared and advised by civil servants with the approval of the President, Dr. Beta Edu suggested a re-imbursment of the Programme director for the programme to the tune of approx. N590m whilst seeking approval of the OAGF to approve.

6, The money wasn't disbursed and memo dated 20th December, 2023 was retrieved by pure evil mischief makers to serve as a bait and to use evidence against the Ministers by disgruntled characters who were reported by Beta Edu earlier to the presidency.

This is a lesson that power is transient.
