babestella:I agree with you 100%.... ..About Babangida ($12Billion) and OBJ ($16).... bunch of crooks! But look at the "highlighted" part of that your post! GEJ has ben in power for 6-8years now. *What did his PRIVITIZATION achieved in your own area, APRT FROM INCREASED NEPA BILL? *How much were you paying for a liter of Fuel under Babangida and OBJ, compared to what you now pay under GEJ? *How many refineries were working under Babangida / OBJ, How many are working under GEJ? Essentially, what l am saying is that "even if the progress is slow".....LET US HAVE SOME PROGRESS! GEJ is simply the WORST DISASTER that has happened to Nigeria..... worse than the Haiti & Japanese Tsunami combined Are we ready to continue to suffer this "steady retrogression" for another FOUR YEARS?! if your (Nigerians) answer is YES, fine by me...... my 'alternative' is doing really well. ![]() Lastpage! |
^^^^Pricey a bit (my opinion) though l may be wrong! On the other hand, l wont expect a formwork that covers say an area of 2400sq/m to cost the same with say one that covers an area of 1200sq/m (just examples). It may be cheap for the larger size but will appear expensive for the smaller size. What if l suggest to you that you should "break it into modules" like saying "X' amount of naira for "Y" sq/m of Formwork? Something similar to the way you broke the building proper into "small-small manageable modules". This is just a suggestion to make it more attractive to would be customers. It will also make it seem "fair" to them and yourself in the long run. Pay me later ...........if you think the idea makes sense!Lastpage! BTW: You can quickly corner the market now, make your gains before others venture into it........ like an early bird, because l think it s a good method. ![]() |
So its got this bad now.... THEY HAVE TO GO AROUNG BEGGING THE SAME PEOPLE THYE SAID WERE IRRELEVANT? SIGNS OF ACUTE DESPERATION IMO, ......BUT THEN "A GOOD PRODUCT NEEDS NO HARD-SELL" LIKE THIS. ![]() Lastpage! |

Muscomide:Good Post! About a year ago, l made similar analysis, when Igbos were all over the place abusing Yorubas and calling them NAMES! I asked them how they hope to realize "An Igbo President" if they take Yorubas as their perceived enemy? Except in a Military Coup! I also reminded the Igbos (and this is where l think your analysis missed a bit of "History" , that the Yorubas DID NOT ALIGN WITH THE HAUSAS, AGAINST THE IGBOS!For the sake of he young ones who dont know the history and only relied on the Propaganda they are fed by their parents, here is a very brief summary: 1.) There were Coups and counter-coups by Igbos first and then Hausas where the Igbos killed mostly Hausa leaders like Tafawa Balewa and in the counter-coup, Hausas killed the likes of Aguiyi Irosnsi. I will not justify the 'right or wrong' of those killings here. But worthy of note isthe fact that though Yoruba military officers were killed in both Coups, Yorubas did not make any counter-coup back then. 2.) The North did not stop at killing Igbo military officers but went on to killing mostly Igbos living Up North. This set the stage for the Biafran agitation, and rightly so to! 3.) The Northerners did not stop at killing Igbos, they killed anyone who is not an "Hausa Muslim" living in the north but being that Igbos are most-migratory, they suffered most. 4.) Awolowo was the leader and Premier of the Yorubas (Western region) and in discussion with Igbo leaders, Ojukwu in particular, a set of "conditions" were put on the table for the Northerners (who have hijacked power by then) to accept otherwise (at Aburi conference), the two other Regions (Igbo and Yoruba nations)are ready to pull out of Nigeria, as a nation. 5.) Ojukwu already made up his mind on pulling out, acceptance or not. Apart from the fact that his people are being killed in the North, he also has a very strong ambition/desire to "Rule as President". This much was confirmed when he came back from exile, after his pardon, to STILL CONTEST FOR PRESIDENT, UNDER THE NIGERIAN FLAG! That is a clear sign of that innate desire. mind you, he is entitled to aspire to be President as a bonafide citizen! Awolowo was already a "de facto president of the Western region, so to say, back then. 6.) Without waiting for "his partner", knowing fully well that he could not "go it alone" (or maybe driven excessively by his own desire to be president), Ojukwu UNILATERALLY DECLARED SECESSION OF BIAFRA! He knew what would follow would be war! That is how it goes in most countries ruled by the military. Secession means WAR, back then. Even Ukraine as of today is a similar example. 7.) Granted that Ojukwu, aside his own innate ambition, was "protecting the course of his Igbo people", he was expecting, naively though, the Yorubas to FOLLOW his decision. He wanted to "Force the hand of the Yoruba nation into war! This is where he made a very bad calculation! And l will explain: Every "Leader' takes the interest of his people upper most in his decision-making. Going to war is not moin-moin, millions of lives will be lost, for the cause. *Ojukwu did not wait for the green-light from Awolowo. *Ojukwu was prepared to prosecute this war, he had allies, weapons and the support of his people, l will assume. *The Yorubas were not ready to go to war at that point. *The Yorubas, "militarily", were in a bad state of preparedness. Most of the military formations in the West were overseen by Northerners, with Lagos being the federal capital back then. * To go to WAR at that point will mean suicide for the Yorubas. *Ojukwu did not take the interest of the Yorubas into consideration before UNILATERALLY DECLARING SECESSION ..and WAR, expecting a "Blind Followership" from Awolowo, the Yoruba premier! 8.) Like Ojukwu, ...Awolowo also has the "interest of his people to protect" and he was aware that taking them to war, simply because Ojukwu has declared war, is suicide. Awolowo did what any honest leader would do: HE STAYED OUT OF THE WAR..... at the beginning. 9.) So the war started as a direct confrontation between Hausas and Igbos. 10.) Lagos is Yorubaland (never mind that it is very receptive to other nations).. and was the Capital back then. Ojukwu continually attacked Lagos, still Yorubas kept out of the war. 11.) Ojukwu was hell-bent on drawing the Yorubas into this war (his strategy was that the Hausa cant fight both nations at the same time, correct as this strategy is, it did not take into consideration, the preparedness and "capital nature" of Lagos! Most countries defend the Capital and is always the last place to fall! 12.) Yorubas still refuse to be drawn into the war..... until Ojukwu started encroaching Southwards towards "core-Yoruba towns", one after the other. Instead of attacking Northwards, Ojukwu was attacking South_Westwards! One after the other, he demolished South-Western states, southwards of the Niger Bridge... until he got to Oore in Ondo state 13.) Oore is just a few kilometers to Ijebu ode and Ibadan. That was when Awolowo realized that Ojukwu is not happy enough to defend his territory or attack those Hausas that he has a problem with; he wanted to force Yorubas into a suicidal war! Be honest and put your self in the shoes of Awolowo: Will you secede knowing that the whole west is "colonized by these Gworo-eating Military Battalion and get annihilated or would you "use wisdom" and stay NEUTRAL, out of the war? 14.) Awolowo sent messages to Ojukwu to desist from attacking Yoruba towns but Ojuwu will not heed this advice and thus, Yorubas were left with NO OTHER OPTION than to DEFEND THEIR TOWNS.... even if it means acting on the side of the 'NIGERIAN MILITARY"! This is the TRUTH MOST IGBOS DONT WANT TO HEAR or TELL THEIR OFFSPRINGS! The rest they say is "History".... it happened over forty years ago!... and maybe it explains this "hatred and distrust" that Igbos have for Yorubas but in ACTUAL FACT, this "hatred and Distrust" is MIS-DIRECTED! As a Yoruba, l can honestly tell you that Yorubas remain the best option for Igbos, to achieve ANYTHING in Nigeria, including actualization of Biafra! For one, Yorubas dont hate Igbos (we are irritated by their rabid vituperations against us though) but best of all, Yorubas have this mentality of "fairness, calmness of spirit and native intelligence that derives from such disposition". Though Igbos "mis-interprete" it as COWARDICE! But Wole Soyinka did remind us that "Bravery is not found in reckless display of aggression and lack of wisdom"! (sic) Again, 1967 seems to be playing out in a different manner. If the Igbo truly want to be free of the Northerner (never mind that Goodluck is not actually Igbo, any Ijaw or or ishekiri will tell you they are not Ibos! ), they MUST look Westwards! Can they? Will they? Time will tell. Lastpage! NB: Please feel free to disagree with my post and respond civilly, we all learn as we discuss. |
WHY GEJ MAY NOT EVEN NEED TO RIG THE 2015 ELECTION... AND HE MAY STILL WIN! Let us be honest, GEJ is "dead-on-arrival" as far as 2015 is concerned. or let me put it differently: He "SHOULD" be D.O.A But a lot of people like me, want to see a CREDIBLE ALTERNATIVE to GEJ! This is where l think the selfishness and greed of people like Tinubu and Buhari himself, will come into play. APC will play into the hands of Jonathan/PDP, if they cannot offer a "more viable' alternative to that clueless Jonathan! Now, intelligent people have been asking: Why cant APC put-up Governor Fashola, as its Presidential Candidate and finish-off, once and for all, this nonsense we have endured in the last six years in form of a rudderless and completely inept GEJ government? *Is it Buhari that is very selfish and self-centered? *Is it Tinubu that is jealous and afraid of the 'trajectory' of Fashola's success? The latter seems a more plausible explanation if we all remembered how Tinubu tried to scuttle Fashola's re-election for a second term! I will say something today... and we can validate it after the elections in 2015: APC must realize that Buhari is not sellable! I am not saying he is a bad person but the dynamics of Nigerian Politics, at this point and time, does not favor a Buhari Presidency. Buhari at this point, does not command the confidence of most Nigerians, especially Christians and Southerners, due to events which have been happening in Northern Nigeria and the 'silence' of Buhari or his complete "l-dont-care" attitude. I am not saying Buhari has a hand in the Boko haram terrorism but l am saying as a statesman, a former head of State, he should have been at the fore front of not only condemning the terrorsist (who are his tribesmen) but should also be "seen" assisting in seeking an end to the menace. He kept 'mum', for most part of it. Again, the Northerners having over time, ruled Nigeria for about 75% of post-independence, shown themselves not to be very good at "Leadership". There is this fear that if power is ceded to a Northerner (as Buhari is), they will try to usurp it despite the fact that they are most incompetent to move the nation forward!. The irony of the 'description' above is that the current alternative (GEJ) is even worse, than the "worst Northerner" that has ever ruled this country! If Buhari remains the flag bearer of APC, they will lose the Presidential election but it will be a national tragedy that once again, "Jonathan is allowed to "reap Good luck" where he does not deserve one! In most indices of a good leader, l would score Fashola very high (Not that he is completely infallible, he has done some silly things which l think borders on "elitism", especially in the areas of tax, rural housing, but that discussion can be detailed at another time). *In terms if "leadership", he has shown character. *In terms of economic management, he is very well above average. *He is presentable, of "average age", not recycled, non military background, sharp and astute. *Though a muslim, he has been able to put Non-muslims "at ease" such that no one even cares about Religion, in his state! That is how a leader should handle "religion", not sell a "secular country" into the organisation of Islamic countries (OIC). Putting Buhari and Fashola on a scale, it is obvious where the scale will tip..... in Fashola's favor! Will Tinubu and Buhari save this nation from an impending catastrophe, (which is what we will face is GEJ gets re-elected) by allowing a "credible alternative" like Governor Fashola to carry their Presidential banner or would personal ego, greed and selfishness of these two 'politicians' override national interest? Time will tell. Thus, If GEJ wins a second term, dont credit PDP, dont forone moment think its because people want GEJ, dont blame APC,... blame Tinubu and Buhari himself! Lastpage! |

martinbillings:You are very CORRECT! Everything in Jonathan's Govt. was A REVOLUTION! ![]() CORRUPTION became a REVOLUTION Treasury looting leaped into the "BILLIONS OF DOLLARS"! ...... no longer counted in Millions of Naira! ![]() What a "Revolution"! ![]() Lastpage! BTW: It is also a "revolution" that under this President, over two hundred young girls/ladies vanished into "thin air" and this impotent Commander-in-Chief" could do nadda about it! Even this morning, it was all over foreign media that the same Boko Haram he told us has "surrendered and ceased-fire", killed scores of people at an ATM machine in the north. Thats another "revolution", right? |
As "Baaad" as Obasanjo is, it appears he managed the "financial aspects" of the nation properly! Like the sage Obafemi Awolowo (as Western region premier and Finance Minister certain points), l think Yorubas have a thing or two about how to manage FINANCIAL MATTERS in general! You may not like it because it gives glory to a tribe you hate but over and over again, we have seen this trend! Facts and Figures dont lie! Lastpage! Caveat: I am Yoruba but my opinion was based on "historical facts". What would your own be based on? Hatred? Bigotry? Lets see. ![]() |
Opiosko:Why dont you argue with FACTS.... instead of getting angry and foul-mouthed like an area-boy? Put forward "facts" and let the readers digest and decide who they think is a money-miss-road President! Like its often said, "You can rant all day but you cant argue with FACTS!" I hope Nigerians with "sense" can see the difference? But then, were we not told that "LOOTING PUBLIC FUNDS (Corruption) is not "STEALING"? ![]() Lastpage! |
Vivly:That should tell you that some of these women just "make up stories" to make men look bad! *Maybe she cant even drive, maybe she does not even have a driving license! I know a woman whose husband has refused to drive her around anymore after he has paid for driving lessons over ten times and she keeps failing the test! The last straw was when she rammed his Lexus into someones fence at a junction! Thank God no one was hurt but the man nearly died of heart attack because according to him, they will say "He used his money to buy what killed his wife.... he must have used her for money-making "Juju"! ![]() Why do women always equate love to "mundane" physical benefits like Jewellery, clothes, shoes, Cellphones, money, e.t.c? Why cant love be "pure and emotional"? Lastpage! |
Another waste of public fund..... just to cover up their own inefficiency! Where are the Chibook GIRLS... if that was supposed to be the "give and take'? Instead, more bombs, more kidnaps and She-Cow si still making fun of all of you all over the web! Disgraceful Murderphuckers! Lastpage! |
Billyonaire: ![]() Now you are disrespecting the dead by posting such statements! Why put APC or PDP into every discussion? Please, for God sake! Control your "emotions"! The only way to "respect the dead' is to LEARN LESSONS FROM THEIR DEATH AND NOT REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN. That is what l am doing and expect you and everyone, to also do Lastpage! |
Billyonaire:Dont make me laugh! Did you read what you wrote? Its pure emotion! "Reacting" to such death, in a senseless manner is what is "emotional"! ![]() "Emotion" achieves nothing!.... except more destruction. Read my last post and you will see "objectivity" ..... Have you asked yourself what the soldier was doing in a BRT lane? (Not a justification for the accident though) He was killed "by mistake" because he was riding in a lane designated for BRT and he was breaking the law by doing so. Let us assume it was one of these "Okada driver' that suffered this fate, will the Army burn 4Buses or will Okada drivers go on rampage and burn 4 Buses.... and if they did, what do you think the law enforcement (the same OP MESA) will do to those caught doing so? This is how you should reason, if you can remove the "emotions" out of your thoughts. ![]() Simply put: He caused his own death while breaking the law! Lastpage! |
Billyonaire:Okay tell us: How many Buses needs to be burnt to be 'equal to the life' of the dead soldier? 5,000 Buses? One Million Buses? Evenkilling the driver in reprisal will not bring the soldier back to life! ![]() Can you see the "folly' of such action now? Burning ten million buses will not bring that soldier back to life, it will only increase the "loss" suffered by the Nigerian state and it's people! You dont cut off your nose, just to spite your face! I dont want to appear to be stoking this matter (it is painful enough to loose a life) otherwise one would have started asking certain questions as to the "sensibility or otherwise" of riding in a BRT lane just because you are wearing uniform! At times, when "rules' are made, obeying them may be for our own good! When soldiers are told not to drive against traffic or wantonly disobey the use of the road, they think they are above such laws! See the result now! Lesson: This Soldier would have been alive today, if he had obeyed SIMPLE INSTRUCTION! I hope others like him learn from these, as regrettable as the incident is. R.I.P Soldier. Lastpage! |
Billyonaire:While the life of the dead soldier, any humanbeing for that matter, is regrettable and very precious, HOW DOES FLAGRANT VANDALISM LIKE AN AREA BOY, FROM ONE OF THOSE ENTITIES WHICH ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AN EMBODIMENT OF DISCIPLINE, DECORUM AND PROFESSIONALISM, RESUSCITATE OR EVEN COMPENSATE FOR THE DEATH OF SUCH SOLDIER? If Touts, Thugs and Criminals get offended and start looting and burning, we can understand but when the Nigerian Army starts doing the same thing, not once but becoming a sort of "standard procedure", then something is very very wrong with the Nigerian Military! No wonder "Sheep-Cow" was making fun of them and their Commander-in-Chief! Just imagine, slapping civilians for using their phone to film a public disorder? Imagine burning buses near a fuel station located near residential houses! Agreed that these BRT drivers are just "Touts in drivers uniform" with the backing of the Lagos state government but then... Whats wrong with "arresting and prosecuting" the offending driver, in a LAW COURT? Have you ever seen the British or American Army/Marines vandalizing public property within their own country? Is that how you show prowess ....... or by finishing-off Shekau that is mocking you (Army) day and night? How come the only thing that the Nigerian Army flexes muscle over is brutalizing UNARMED civilians? How come they have not shown the same zeal and prowess in fighting Boko Haram? We need to tell the Chief of Army Staff the TRUTH about his organization: BUNCH OF COWARDS! I believe its a sign of cowardice, to carry a gun and fight someone unarmed!! No wonder they want to execute their own "rank and file" men that stood up to them. SHAME ON THE NIG. ARMY FOR THIS BARBARIC BEHAVIOUR! Unless everyone involved in this thuggery is brought to book.... but l dont expect that to happen in a life time. Lastpage! |
tit: wakacome:She's just recovering from an overdose of "cheap, adulterated weed"! Forgive her incoherency please. Lastpage! |

emmasege:Hmmm.... You speak wisdom o! But let me add, how come is it that we cant have "independent Candidates" who have no "party Affiliation" (at least not those "two sides of the same devilish Coin"..PDP/APC)? I reckon if it is funding, a very "sound independent candidate" can raise money through donations from all Nigerians that are dying to be rid of these two leprous fingers called PDP and APC (Jonathan and Buhari)! Why must we always have to chose between either "being blinded or being deaf/dump"? There must be capable and selfless Nigerians that we can still point to, right? Or has the country got so rotten to that point? Devil and Satan na the same thing as far as l am concerned Very Sad! Lastpage! |
stagger:Everything you said was sounding PLAUSIBLE.... and l say plausible because most are in the FUTURE TENSE, as most projects that have been "achieved" by this fraudulent govt until.... the bolded parts! To blame the sate of the road on the NATURE OF SOIL is the height of stewpidity by any illiterate that has access to internet! ![]() I will tell you something today: Early this year, l branched to see a Cousin of mine in Ireland-Dublin, on my way from the U.S. I spent three weeks with his family and it rained EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of those three Weeks! ![]() It rains so much in that place that they have a joke which goes that "The only reason you see an irish person in church is because he is trying to take shelter from the rain"! ![]() I am sure those who are familiar with that country will bear me out on this. I asked my cousin how they are able to survive with this kind of rain ... then he reminded me that "Life here has adpted to and conquered" the rainy environment. Just use "Google Maps" to zoom-in and view the roads and streets in that country and it will amaze you! A country that does not have ONE SINGLE Natural resources o! Reason l brought this up is that the country is an Island, completely out of nowhere and it rains there 90% of the time, (dont even talk about the kind of crazy breeze that blows there!) yet... You need to see the roads in this place! You will just love to drive around! Solid roads, well maintained and very smooth. They are not complaining about rain or soil yet here in Nigeria, somebody is repeating the same silly excuses that l have been hearing for almost twenty five years when l first visited the East? How do you expect the roads to last more than "One season" when all the contractors in Nigeria do is just "spray asphalt paint on red sand" and call it road construction? I drove on the Ife Expressway when it was just completed about 2001 and God, that was my best drive back then (In a V-Boot!) but because of the poor materials used by "Oni of Ife's company" that did that road, it collapsed within two years of construction. Go and see the same road now, its a mess ..or are you going to blame "rain and soil" for a road in the South West as well? How about using other methods like "Concrete" for such roads, if Asphalt has been failing since the days of Lord Lugard? Or are we that daft? A badly constructed road, due to endemic corruption, will not last more than one season but a well constructed road (using internation standards w.r.t. thickness of asphalt, the right type of base material, et.c.) will last at least 30yrs and all you need do is just small-small patching! Some of the roads made in the days of Herbert Macualay, are still intact in some parts of Lagos, up till today! |
I think what 'fastshipping" is talking about, which l think is being evaded, is the two pictures l have tried to recapture below. He is asking if those Pillars going up from this floor, seeing that they actually have no continuation/origins from a floor below, can support the weight they are expected to carry. Now, *You say YES, they can. *You can also say "They are a continuation from bottom" in which case you just have to show which from the picture cannot be true! *You can also say, NO, they cant.....and make amendments on that building before its too late. I cant even see a V-shaped support under it, which would have been an option to distribute the weight using principle of "Moments about a fulcrum". I understand it is the job of the Engineers to explain this and Brabus has said he is just dong formwork on the building, finito! Lastpage! @Brabus: is the 450K in that advert for formwork (which was my original interest) for: *Supplying the boards only? *Supply and nailing them together only? *Supply, nailing together, concrete pouring work (material and labour as you call it) of the building or just per floor? When you say "material", what does that include apart from the Boards itself? Cement, Sand, Granite, e.t.c? Take as you deem correct, to clarify things for me.

Okay guys, l think we Nigerians should ALWAYS help ourselves to get better. Those who know "more' should assist those who know "less" since no one person knows it all! But those been assisted should also have an "open mind", be willing to "investigate" what is being passed to them, with a view to unearthing the TRUTH. "Blind followership" and "over-emotional dogmatism" does not help a humanbeing to get better, knowledge-wise. A lot of things/issues are "carnal and mundane" and we should stop labelling them with "spiritual connotations". God gave us a GOOD, ADAPTIVE BRAIN, for a reason! Whether anyone likes it or not, Pastor Adeboye will "one day", pass away! He is not Jesus, he was not conceived with the Holy Spirit like Jesus, he would not be crucified on the cross like Jesus, he would not rise up on the third day like Jesus and he would not ascend to heaven, on clouds, like Jesus so, all these "comparisons to Jesus" bothers on foolishness! Pastor Adeboye is 'flesh" like me and you, though l respect him for all he has achieved. *The Op is not wishing death on Pastor Adeboye. *There is nothing wrong in asking questions or raising pertinent issues which in future, may affect the wellbeing of the Church (as 'experience' has shown us that "big churches have had this same problem in the past"...... and it affected their memberships such that some felt so disillusioned and left or even went astray!). *If we love our "Brothers" as we love "Ourselves" ..as Jesus commanded, we would always look-out for their interest. One way to do this is to "think ahead and try to head-off" anything that may impact them negatively. This is what this thread should be about! I have a feeling (l may be wrong though), that this issue would have crossed the mind of Pastor Adeboye himself but fear of the chaos it will cause within the church and the loss of "reverence" to himself that may follow, may be the reasons he has decided to "Keep everyone guessing"... for now. Its always a "good strategy" (from a selfish point of view) to leave some "yaawa and katakata" till you are gone and passed away afterall, nobody can trouble a deadi-bodi! Let the living sort themselves out! ![]() Let us not over-flog the matter, EVERYONE have made their points and opinions known. Dont take it personal, lets move-on. God spare our life and hoping Virus will not wipe out this posts, we can always refer to it in the future and history will vindicate us...at least some of us. Good discuss guys, warm regards to all. Gabbysky:You are all over this thread sounding like one of those "paid Sycophants"? Maybe you are one really...judging from the putrid and puerile arguments you've been putting up. So, that "metal plate" has now become an object of decoration in a vehicle? how stewpid can an argument get? Pray tell us, how many years or months is someone with "SWAG" required to change the metal plates, after installing it from new? Every two months? One year? Two? Three? For dolts like you, l have used a vehicle plate number for over ten years (I sold the vehicle and the new owner still uses the same plate) and it is still in pristine condition such that it has nothing to do with the value of the vehicle itself. But then, when corruption makes the FRSC to produce plates that FADE OFF within three months of acquisition, why would arzewipes like you not come here to tell us that we need to change it every two months so that we can show "swag" like the under-age that you are Mtchw. MNDY:Does it bother you that the current Catholic Pope, said this last week that "God doesnot have a magic wand with which he could have created humans with and he therefore supports the "Big bang" theory which says that man was created by some freak explosive accident"? Now, if the Bible says "God created us in his own image, in His image we were created".... and the head of the Catholic church, (who by the way also supports and advocates sodomy and homosexuality, as against Biblical teachings!) is making ridicule of God in this manner, then you should know we are truly in the figurative "end times", as the Bible said. Do not bother or worry about those "outsiders" who make the "Christian faith a laughing stock". It does not change the purpose of God for his people. The only house that can stand, is one that continually purges itself of "falsehood". While they are 'laughing' Christianity is being purified ...and you remember what is said about raw gold, before it becomes "expensive" ornamental gold? it undergoes purification in FIRE! ![]() Lastpage! |
CHEKWASUCHE:Do you also wonder why some people read "just one part" of the Bible .....and dont even understand that small part? Or is it not the same Bible that says "Search everything THOROUGHLY and HOLD FIRMLY unto that which is the TRUTH? So, how do you investigate thoroughly, if you cant "ask questions and hold opinions"? Is it not the same Bible that said "Seek the truth and it will set you free"? A lot of Christians are not yet free (in bondage of ignorance) because they refuse to "seek the truth" by asking questions, under the guise of "Thou shall not judge"! "JUDGING" as used in that Bible verse refers to "wrongful condemnation".... which is very different from 'asking questions and seeking to know the TRUTH". Even Jesus, while he was alive and on earth, was questioned thoroughly, by his disciples.... and he never rebuked them but ANSWERED THEM so that they may gain "accurate knowledge" of God the father. My Brother, l enjoin you to "open your eyes", read your Bible and pray to God to give you "understanding" so that you shall not continue to hold unto STRAWS. God will help you as you help yourselves Lastpage! |
Nigerians are not only gullible, they hate to be told the TRUTH but would rather wallow in "religious ignorance". BTW: Even Adeboye himself was "nominated and appointed" by the late Overseer before his death. Go and read Adeboye's statements on this matter, its somewhere here in Nairaland sef. If the former founder/leader had not done that, there would have been "war" over succession. Up till now, some senior members of the church are still plotting his fall. Its even worse now that the "church is very rich" and "Private JET levels" is involved. ![]() Look at Celestial Church of Christ, when the former founder, S.B.J. Oshoffa died suddenly! Ajanlekoko, Oshofa's son and one other fella like that nearly burned down the whole church, over who will succeed him! ![]() Take a cue from Pastor "Jerry Curls" Chris and his wife Anita, matter! Tell me if that Church is not already breaking into two, with Chris being removed from the"lucrative" U.K Chapter, by his wife (for justifiable reasons or not). This is happening when he is still alive o, what do you think will happen if he suddenly passes on unexpectedly? You think all those senior pastors who hve been doing "boy-boy" for Chris all these years, will allow the wife to just grab the whole thing like that? The reason the Catholic Church survives till today and does not experience such "open anarchy" when it comes to succession is because they have put in place, a solid means of "black vs. white smoke-screen" strategy, not withstanding the politics that still comes into play in choosing a new Pope. All these ignorant people saying "its God's business" and therefore Adeboye does not need to put things in order, are just being naive! CHURCH is MEGA BUSINESS, ..next to Bureau de Change! From the 'little' l know about RCCG and as an "elder" who follows the "money trail" as we disburse it from my own Parish, RCCG is currently operating as a FRANCHISE, much like KFC or McDonalds. If you have the land, the "sweet mouth" and the Charisma to hoodwink Eediots, you are allowed to "buy into the BRAND NAME called RCCG" .... as long as you remit the stipulated "PERCENTAGE" to Adeboye at the RCCG headquarters!. No Biggy! Lastapge! |
masonkz:Dont mind these SHAMELESS POLICE FARCE! They are able to tell us where "dangerous armed robbers" are .......but are not able to apprehend them? This begs the question: is it that they are incapable of performing their role in the society (in which case they should be disbanded and other agencies ready to do the job, be empowered).... Or is it that they themselves are the ones responsible or at the least encouraging these criminals and their activities? *We have heard true stories and witnessed where Police "loan" guns and bullets to armed robbers. *We have seen (at Okota) where Policemen from Lekki came to rob homes at Okota only to suddenly show their I.D and call it "secret operation" when occupants brought out their own guns and during exchange of gunfire, the "armed robbers" were overpowered .... and they turned to be "Police men"! *We have seen over and over where Policemen shoot and kill unarmed civilians when they forcefully demand money from them and the 'egunje' is not forthcoming! *We have seen Policemen murder young people randomly, when picked up for "wondering", ....right in front of their house! Policemen have done EXACTLY the same things that armed robbers, thugs, street urchins are noted for... So, IS THE NIGERIAN POLICEMAN AN "OFFICIAL EQUIVALENT" OF THE ARMED ROBBERS? At least we dont have to pay salary and buy weapons for the armed robbers, they work 'hard' for their loot... Lastpage! |
JayKaba:I thought it took at least twenty years of class room education (minimum), to obtain a PhD? If in that amount of time, you still cant muster some "intelligence" ...... even in "human and resource management' that a bus driver or food kiosk operator displays at random, then something is definitely wrong with that sort of education. But then, reading your post, l am sure you are one of the products of "GEJ Educational system".! Like Lecturer, like student! ![]() Lastpage! |
QMark:Only a desperate person like Jonathan will be going about bribing "faceless and jobless" Eediots for endorsement! This reminds me of the "group" YEA! (Youths Earnestly yearn for Abacha), organized by some Abacha sycophants in those days. ![]() Yorubas are known for their zero-tolerance for idiocy and high level of self criticism......talkless of endorsing this ogogoro-slurping slowpoke! One Million JOBS? No be one million, na one hundred Million! Only in Jonathan's Dream! Lastpage! BTW: Did anyone watch the Boko Haram "she-cow" latest video? ......where he mocked and even made fun of the President and parents of the girls he kidnapped? http://news.yahoo.com/boko-haram-denies-truce-kidnapped-girls-married-081839690.html What bothered me most was that this was the same guy (Yes, the same fellow) that was in the video with the girls, when they were just kidnapped and thus l can say that without doubt, he is still alive ... and that really annoys me a lot. Again, our President amd his military brass keeps lying to us that Boko Haram is negotiating and has agreed to release the girls. Now we know that they just got one "impostor" to pretend he is the leader or member of Boko haram. Just like this One million jobs, this Jonathan Govt is a shameless one. He will lie even when there is no need for a lie! person buruku! ![]() |
