Progressivegee: Hi guys, I posted sometime ago (other miniker) about issues with my company because I wasn't able to drive and how they threaten to sack me at any slight instance including feedind a dog thrice instead of twice. It hasn't been easy for me. I have been trekking in the winter to see clients and never complained yet my company never cease to threaten me of sack for the most trivial of issues. They constantly remind me that they are doing me a favor by keeping me cos I wld have been long gone to my country the moment they noticed I cldnt drive. They refused to renew my ID card and didn't give me the training they give to other staff.
I was told by my South African colleague that the company wants to chase me and I should find a new sponsor before I am chased out. Luckily for me, I got a new sponsor and I have a new COS. I have also applied to update my Visa using priority option.
My company sent me a mail that they have booked me ahead for work till the new year. I plan to start at my new place before the Christmas. I responded that they should only book me for a week cos I will be stopping after a week. My contract states that both parties should give at least a 1 week notice before contract termination.
I was told to report to the office and on getting there I laid all my concerns. I have been living in an hotel with my wife and two kids for close to 2 months and the company refused to stand as a guarantor for me to get a house. I also made other concerns. They said its non of their business if my kids are registered with a GP or not or if I have a place as long as I work with them. I maintained my stance that I want to quit but was told I must work for a month before quiting or forfeit the pay for the days I have worked. I said I wasn't going to work and the madam opened the door and asked me to get out. I got up and left.
Later in the day, the husband mailed me that I am breaching my contract that I must work 1 month or they will report me to home office and I will have a limit to stay in the UK. I didn't reply his mail but I have a copy of the contract that states other wise.
Any advice for me guys? Please report them and find another company/agency if you can |

1stNumeroUno: Hello House,
How can one scale the hurdle of getting second proof of address and 1 proof of identity.
Banks/Jobs are all demanding for these and it's becoming frustrating.
I'm barely 5 weeks in town and all I have is NIN mail from DWP and BRP. I'll appreciate guide/suggestions.
Thanks, Is this bank job like mail man? |

HiddenID: Good evening all,
Has anyone had an experience with rescheduling biometrics capture for Nigerian passport in London please?
I booked biometrics for 19th September and after a few weeks, it was announced as a public holiday for the Queen's burial. I've been trying to pick a new date since then but each time I reschedule, it allows me to pick future dates but then defaults to the past date again.
I have been calling the NHC numbers but haven't been able to reach anyone, no response to emails either.
I will really appreciate some advice on this. Join the Nigeian passport group on NairaLand. May might find the solution there |

giselle237: Get a phone, sim contract or credit card.. Something needs to show lenders you can keep up your end of the bargain What if you miss the first payment by mistake. This people ought to be notifying someone 3 days before the next due date |

Mamatukwas: Nope. They still have 5 years to go before ILR. This is BRP with a permanent job (non medical/shortage list). So Visa fee per person was £1,423 before you add IHS for 5 years. Multiply by 4. Is this money paid by everyone that wants to renew? Or just people that switch from tier 4 |

justwise: You have to switch to either tier 4 or tier 2.
You can not renew or extend PSW. So after PSW one has to switch to Tier 4 again? Please explain better |

HSalamanca: This is depending on the school, how fast their admission team is/the volume of applications they're getting. But usually it can take one day to a few weeks.
For some schools you can pay deposit, have the payment confirmed and get your CAS all within 48 hours. Who has used AccessBank form A here and what are the documents uploaded. Because I have upload all the necessary documents yet they still asking for more. Maybe I should just avoid that them. |

giselle237: People on this same thread were denied because of this.. there is a reason why the same document the ECOs use for adjudication clearly states held funds for minimum 28 days. Dnt go and set people up for refusal with your statements. If one is denied for holding funds for less than 28 days, no Jupiter of an AR will change the decision.. they will need to start afresh having already lost visa fees like the ones who were caught on this thread. You should stop this(if you can). The trauma alone from a visa refusal is not kind. He should delete the comment |
