hustler2828:
Can you imagine the level of corruption, in a so-called private company? And this is just the tip of the iceberg, think of public parastatals like NNPC, Customs, police, etc. Then factor in tribalism and religion. And one person say Naija go better. It will only get worst. The average Nigerian man is corrupt, wicked, and heartless.

In your shoes I will prepare my opsec, do some osint findings on the top management of the company, and call them out publicly on any of their social media pages. In the worst-case scenario, I will tail them online and do all sorts of information gathering to blackmail them. Imagine the nonsense.
I would have mentioned 7 companies that I personally experienced what the OP experienced but it not worth it

FamilyRe: Growing Up As A Son Raise By Singlemother. How Has Life Be ? by lavylilly: 3:08am On Jun 30, 2023
I believe depending on the mother they are very succesful. My auntie has 3 boys, she had to raised them by herself as the father walked away from them when they were young. The three of them are super amazing, loving and protecting. They are all happily married and raising children, the oldest is a business owner and has a company, the second became a police officer and now he just finished his as Law degree. The youngest is a OBGyn and is planning on opening his own clinic. My auntie worked hard and paid for their studies, as they live in a country where no help, loans or scholarships are available. They are super grateful to my auntie for she was more than enough to raise three succesful men.

Funny though, when my cousin became a doctor, about 30 years after he left, their father showed up and wanted to be part of their lives. They all said no thank you, their mom was both mother and father to them, so they had everything that they needed.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: WAEC Co-ordination 2023 by lavylilly: 12:01pm On Jun 29, 2023
While WAEC marking is not an employment opportunity, and cannot even be quoted in the CV as a viable working experience but facilitates your chances of been employed by good schools, the advantages of coordination and marking is stated below:

1. It puts some coins in the pocket. In about five (5)days of using your leisure to mark, you are guaranteed at least N15,000 which has been reviewed upwardly Can serve some purposes;

2. The informative content of the coordination is helpful for teachers. Helps you know the best way to prepare students for the examination. It also enriches the teacher's research and lesson notes;

3. it keeps youths busy esp those unemployed youth and those earning little from their school. The positive thing about it is experience of how to mark waec scripts.

Please, invited or not, if you live near the state capital, check the marking venues used for coordination. Gate-crash (if not invited) and you may be fortunate to get a pack.

Gatecrashers are welcomed nationwide.

WAEC coordination starts:
31st May , 2018 for Chief Examiners and Team leaders!
1st June , 2018 for Examiners and Asst. Examiners.
Coordination ends 3rd June , 2018
Time: 4:00pm

Gate crashers should go to the venue with their relevant certificates (both original and photocopies) and make sure attendances are taken for the 3 days.

Distribution of parcels begin on 5th June, 2018 to all existing examiners and the lucky gate crashers

A hint though from my experience as a gatecrasher, ATTENDANCE at coordination classes is NECESSARY for the 3 days. CONSISTENCY in the 3-day coordination meeting will secure you a chance. Normally, parcels are issued to those who attend the coordination classes, but Chief and Team leaders can be funny, by keeping parcels for invited examiners who do not attend the 3 days coordination. So, "shine your eyes". Note that some marking venues "MAY" issue out parcels to examiners when they are done with the coordination for that day.

Examiners: They mark the scripts of students using a prepared marking guide. Documents required
Your First Degree/HND

Checkers: They cross check the marks awarded to the students and ensure they are properly totalled.
OND, ONLY-Reviewed in 31st May, 2018. To apply as a checker, visit the venue on the day of coordination, address your letter to THE HEAD OF MARKING VENUE, (then add the name of the town). Submit the letter to the Secretarial staff i.e the secretary of the marking venue.

Checkers are usually invited for a test. A test would be conducted for checkers. Basic mathematics. Addition and subtraction. Accuracy and speed is very necessary. I think 20 questions for 10 minutes.

Hint: Just be fast. Your score depends on when you will start checking as the higher the greater number of days
Simple arithmetic. 15 minutes to answer 15 questions and also sum up some figures on the rows and columns.
E.g
56+3-1=

3/3+1/3=

2.5 + 3and1/2

Sq.root of 144 etc.

NB Go to any marking center close to you with the required credentials and attend the coordination session ina subject close to what you studied in school. No body helps anyone here, I marked during my service year, in fact they were begging me to pick more packs and I refused because of the short time frame.

It is worthy to note that they pay per subject multiplied by the number of scripts given to you e.g I think they pay N15 per script for Maths. if you are given 600 scripts that will be N15*600= N9,000.00. coupled with other allowances such as coordination fee, transport,feeding etc. Marking fee varies per subject, you will get to know one applicable to your subject at the marking venue, but the least is N8 per script. That's not the only incentive, as there are others like Lump sum, coordination fee etc that will sum up your pay around 12,000 - 15000 if you have about 320 scripts.
You take scripts home for marking and submit progressively to your Team Leader for vetting and then to your subject script officer for checking. By progressively, I mean that you don't wait till you finish marking the entire scripts issued to you before submission. As you mark, you submit by center/school basis. A parcel usually consists of 2, 3, 4 or 5 schools/centers.

Finally, Damaged, missing, mutilated scripts then u find yourself in the police net without negotiations, even on ypur sick bed, WAEC will come and collect their script, even in your grave they won't spare your corpse for their script, they will wake you up and collect their scripts then ypu can rest in peace.bitter truth.

In my own case I marked
Physics ll
Attendance = 2500
Marking = 3196.38 (334scripts x 9.57)
Lump sum = 5344 (334scripts x 16)
Coordination meeting assistant examiner= 3600
Total = 14640.38
Minus 5% tax = 159.82
Total pay = 14480.56.

NCE holders are not eligible to mark.

Checkers N900 per day. Lagos and Portharcourt N1,200 with food, I am sure if the food is still applicable till date.

P.S: It is a serious offense for a gatecrasher/Examiner to have two parcels. Its an offense in WAEC extant examiner rules.

Wish you all success!!

You folks can fool yourselves all you want with all sorts of wishful thinking. Here is the TRUTH:
A young woman's dream is an EXCLUSIVE monogamous relationship with ONE man she is attracted to.
While for a young man the very thought of it is SUFFOCATING!! grin
The two sexes are simply wired differently.

FamilyRe: Are Men Really Polygamous? by lavylilly:
Multiple signs show that humans are mostly monogamous by design. Males and females are roughly the same size (the small difference seems to have been inherited from Australopithecus, and has decreased steadily since), we seem to mostly share the inherent emotion of jealousy which makes no sense for us to have otherwise, most human societies have been monogamous, and so on.

But humans are also infinitely inventive, and in situations with shortages of men or women, societies have adapted and allowed polygamy or polyandry; up until very recently, it has been much more difficult or even outright impossible to be successful outside a family, so an excess of either sex was a problem to be solved.

And, of course, some people are born without any sense of sexual jealousy; those are today known as polyamorous. It seems to work fine, too, so that's obviously also part of our nature.

There were men who decided to be monogamous. They would have been religious men, so the the impetus would have been religious in nature.

My answer is based on the facts that:

1. Historically, men in general would never have allowed a woman to make this or any other decision, most especially if it affected the law or their sex life.
2. Religion has historically been behind most cultural ideologies.
So, to answer the question, many but not all human beings may desire to have sex with more than one person. Many but not all men may wish to have more than one spouse.

Men, who historically were in charge of everything while women stayed home, chose to institute monogamy. Other men decided to move their families into these societies. Sometimes human beings had these ideologies forced upon them by other men. As time passed, monogamy became the cultural norm for many nations and states.

Another fallacy of hasty generalization! I live in Sangotedo area and I can conveniently tell you that we enjoy close to 12 hours of power supply in my estate. Other than traffic & the expensive cost of living, Island is a great place to live in. It is relatively peaceful and filled with great minds. Unlike the mainland which is the den of criminals (cultists and robbers). All those temple runs that you guys experience on the mainland is not here. Run from robbers, run from cultist fights, run from police raid, run from 1 million boys, etc.

PS- I was born and brought up in Ajegunle, so I know what it's like to live on both the Island and mainland. Before marriage, I prayed to God to never allow me raise my kids on the mainland (Ajegunle precisely) and God answered my prayer. cheesy cheesy
Island is not immune to robbers or cultist or vices you claim are not on the island. My friend was robbed at Ikate. Sangotedo is a base for a cult sect. Thank God for protection for you and your family

freelancing can really mess with your financial stability. Bills don't magically disappear, do they?

But wait, there's more! Being a freelancer means you become the CEO, the accountant, the marketing department, and the janitor all in one. It's not just about doing the work you love; it's about managing clients, contracts, invoices, disappointing client's, learning from your mistakes, the urge to quit everyday and all the nitty-gritty stuff that takes you away from your true passion. Talk about wearing multiple hats! 🎩🎭
And let's not forget about self-discipline.

When you're your own boss, you need to kick procrastination to the curb and stay motivated. It's easy to get distracted by Netflix marathons or spending hours scrolling through cat videos on instagram😺🎥 Trust me, it's harder than it looks to maintain focus without a structured work environment.

Now, before you start planning your resignation letter, here's my friendly advice: ✉️ Hold off on becoming a full-time freelancer until you're fully grounded.

Keep your 9-5 job as a solid foundation while you dip your toes into freelancing on the side. Test the waters, build your portfolio, and get a feel for the ups and downs. It's like learning to swim before diving into the deep end. 🏊‍♂️

Take the time to establish a solid client base, network like a champ, and save up a financial safety net that can cushion any unexpected blows. 💪💰 Trust me, having a stable income stream will be a comforting safety blanket during those dry spells.
Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, and your freelance empire won't be either.

It takes time, effort, and perseverance to make it work. But with the right mindset and a steady plan, you can absolutely rock the freelancing world while keeping your 9-5 job as a safety net.

So, besties, don't be swayed by the glamorous façade of the internet. Embrace the stability of your current job and use it as a launchpad for your freelancing dreams. One day, when you're fully grounded and ready to soar, you can make that leap with confidence. 🚀💼
