What is Jewish DNA? Igbos are one of the largest nations on Earth, so why join with Yorubas? If Yorubas stay as one, there will still be competition between the subnations like Ijesa, Ife, Ibadan, Ilorin etc but there is basis for unity. There are all one people. By pre industrial standards, the economy of the Yoruba was well developed in the past. People belonged to Agbo iles and Agbo iles belonged to towns, towns belonged to nations and a nation was ruled by the Ogboni council of elders and administered by the Oba in council who were mere servants of the Ogboni as well as Ogboni members. The Ogboni was the one party ruling the state.

A developed economy is one in which there are many products as well as highly skilled people who make them leading to the national labor force working in the economy to be finely divided. It leads to development of knowhow passed down from generation to generation in family lineages but without universities, libraries and written scholarship, a lot of know how is lost. Also, without corporatocracy that enables a more efficient use of capital, it would be difficult if not impossible to take capital deployment to the next level. In the pre industrial Yoruba economy, there were no universities, knowledge libraries or corporate bodies outside the crown which did not have to give account to anyone just as was the case in Portugal and Spain. However, Yoruba society was more liberal and free than European society. There was no class in the society. Every individual was a member of an ile and under the protection of his Baale, the individual maybe a slave or a freeborn but that is only a nomenclature. People could travel outside their domains for trade and etc unlike what was the case in feudal Europe. There was no unemployment because so long as you are a member of an Agbo ile or household, you will have a job and you will never be alone. That was called Osomaalo among Ijesas. Those were hire purchase merchants who travelled across West Africa and made a lot of money in business back then. In Ogbomosho was also another variety called San diedie, another hire purchase merchant class but not as prominent as the Ijesa Osomaalo. There were travelling theaters who perform as full time drama groups all year round from town to town, occasion to occasion and etc, performing impossible feats like turning to snakes, lions and etc to the admiration of onlookers. They performed for fees at coronations, town festivals and etc, all year round as professionals. They held their own sector in the economy. There were bronze workers, wood workers, bone workers and etc, who wor for a fee. There were professional musicians and etc. Theology was a huge sector comparable to the trading sector.

So, with bustling markets containing thousands of traders filled with hundreds of goods of different kinds and vibrant activities in all sectors, one may opine that by pre industrial standards the economy of the Yoruba was well developed and more stable, even and equal than any modern economy on Earth today. The only edge the modern or industrialized world has is technology for mass production and other knowhow. So, no famines and epidemics as used to be the case across the world in the past. But are we using the knowhow well?. Have we taken full advantage of it? The question is for us to answer.

Today, the Yoruba language is being super imposed by English gradually. A while ago, Akoko was superimposed by Kemitic Egyptian of the Ptahhotep era and that is the Yoruba we speak today. When did that happen? I will say over 3000 years ago, maybe 4 because Yoruba dialects are said to be up to 2000 years apart while Igbo is 5000 years apart from Yoruba according to some paper I read. So let us just say the Egyptians came in large numbers enough to change our language. They must have formed 30 percent of total population. The 16th century Owa Obokun Ijesa, Owa Atakunmosa who was a warrior King, the grandfather of the first Deji of Akure bore a name that translates as seasoned mariner. He left his daughters with the Ogboni Ijebu jesa and travelled to Benin for 60 years. He must have gone back and forth, probably married and etc in Europe and the Americas, earning him the nickname Atakunmosa, the mariner. He came back to be crowned Owa Obokun. There were many people like that. The Alaafin sent 400 people to Europe probably with a mandate not to even return because they did not return. If you do a comparative of words between Yoruba and other ethnics within Nigeria you will no doubt arrive at commonality with people as far as Kanuri and as well to Ijaw and Adamawa, in addition to Igbo and Nupe.

Yoruba share word commonality with Romans and even Egypt and Hebrew. These are all on the surface. Go beneath the surface and extract markers that tie Yoruba to Igbo and share with us.

We speak modern Kemitic Egyptian laced with words from surrounding languages like Igbo, Nupe, Edo and etc. Maybe over 60 percent of our words were used in Kemitic Egypt of 5000 years ago and we construct sentences thesame way. This our language was not spoken here 5000 years ago. I believe it would be a proto Akoko Edo Igbo that was one language. Our own there was Akoko and part of Akoko is Nupoid. It was on the Akoko that Egyptian was superimposed by new arrivals from Egypt. We still have some Akoko. Before Egypt, I would say the Yoruba were proto Nupoid in culture because of royal greetings and festivals in Ife. They probably were not so in language. Igbos are cutoff from Yorubas but still use atupa, agbala, oka, esu as ekwensu and etc. Apparently they branched off and merged with a new group having another language just like the Akokoids merged with Egyptians. Just a weak opinion for now
