Few days ago, there was a viral report of a Nigerian man, Chidimma Obodoechina Amedu, who reportedly married his wife Sophy Ijeoma, 7 days after she indicated interest in a post he made about looking for a wife.

Amedu's marriage post on 30th December read;

Am of age to and I am ready to say I do and am wasting no time. Send in your applications. The most qualified will be married on January 6,2018. Application closes 12mid night, 31/12/2017. Am serious about this oh and don’t say you did not see it on time. Goodluck.

Days later, Amedu took to his Facebook wall to share photos of their marraige;

Others thought I was joking when I made the post that I needed to get married to any girl I would meet in few days from that day. Jokingly posted vacancy advert. She jokingly commented saying she was interested and on 6/1/18 I got married by Igbo tradition to my one in town egg.congrts ij-Obodo. UDI gave me and I paid. Hahaahha

However some Facebook users are claiming that the couple had known each and dating for over a year, before marriage. According to some, the stunt was pulled for attention.

A Nigerian man and Facebook user, Neme Love, took to the platform to call out an event decorator whose name he gave as Ruth Olumati, for reportedly stealing photos online and paying meager amount to vendors. 

According to Neme, he had given the alleged event decorator opportunities to settle the other vendor privately, but she did not, hence the call out post. 

Here's what he wrote; 

Since y'all asked for it.. (I regrettably post this, but hey it's a warning to others).. she goes to people's events steals a picture of their decoration and puts it up on her event page as if she did it.. I reached out to her so many times for an apology and a payment to the vendor that she paid meager amount.. but my number was blocked.. Anyways just avoid Ruth Olumati for any event decoration..

She may be a great girl for other things but for events and hall Decor.. Don't fall a victim.. Y'all can be mad at me for posting her picture, but I gave her so many opportunities to settle the other vendor privately.. and she did not.. the funny thing is I even lodged my Hall Decorator in a Hotel in Lekki (I'm nice like that)..so that no story of getting to the venue on time will happen..

Anyways just be careful when it comes to vendors in Naija sha.. if you use wedding planning - they will connive with their inner caucus to inflate price for you, if you do yourself - they will not be truthful will deliverables.. in fact plenty things.. Cheers

Ok people I thought my white wedding event will go drama free.. only for me to get a call today from a Dominion City Pastor that we did not pay the Hall Decorator complete money.. I'm like - says who?.. (every vendor was paid 90% before and I ensured no vendor is owed a penny.. this is people's means of livelihood and I do not like owing people and that is how the truth began to unravel)..

Apparently the DC lady that we paid a shit load of money to decorate our hall is a fraud, she does not do decorations.. she charges high, then pays a sister in her church a tiny fraction of the money to decorate.. No wonder I walked into my hall and I saw Gurumaraji decoration  instead of the Garden of Eden I paid for..

A Nigerian single mother identified as Bukola, was reportedly disowned by her Parents, after she was released from Prison yesterday. 

The 22-year-old who had her baby while serving her one-year jail sentence, was sent to jail after she stole a dress in her neighborhood and was caught wearing same dress.

Behind Bars Initiative who shared the story of the Nigerian single mother, wrote; 

22 YEARS OLD BUKOLA FREED FROM PRISON AFTER ONE YEAR, DISOWNED BY PARENTS.
She just left prison yesterday after one year. She's22yrs, had the baby inside the prison. She has been disowned by her parents, her siblings don't want to see her. I had to send a Volunteer, a Yali Network member to help bring her down to Delta State.

WHAT TOOK HER TO PRISON?
she has the habit of stealing things that are not even valuable (Please Don't Judge Her), She steals and still uses what she stole in the neighborhood. One morning, she stole a dress and was caught wearing same dress. Police was called which led to the arrest and then charged to court and later convicted.

As an ex Awaiting trial inmate, i have carefully examined her and found out her case is spiritual.

She will be staying with me for a while for Rehabilitation

A Nigerian Twitter user The Pious One, took to the platform to narrate how her Uncle has been left fighting for his life after his Nigerian wife used a broken bottle to slash his throat for cheating.

According to the lady who referenced Maryam Sanda's incident in her tweets, this isn't the first time her Uncle's wife had made such attempt.

Embattled billionaire business and Chairman of Innoson Motors, Innocent Chukwuma, has been dragged to court by anti-graft agency, EFCC, who filed fraud charges against him. 

Also dragged into the lawsuit is Mr. Chukwuma’s brother, Charles. The four-count charge against Mr. Chukwuma who was arrested last week and released a day later, is dated November 30, and filed at the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja Division.

Heavily armed hoodlums who came in a grey Sienna car, reportedly overpowered security personels escorting a United Bank for Africa (UBA) bullion van, and carted away millions.

It was gathered that the robbers, emptied the bullion van's vault and zoomed off to an unknown destination, after taking possession of it.  According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Friday around Koka junction along the Asaba-Benin Expressway and carted away millions of naira.

An aggrieved Nigerian has called out ASKY Airlines over his missing luggage since September 2017, which they have reportedly carelessly handled. According to Mr. Benedict Soghie, his luggage got missing during his journey back to Nigeria from Denver, U.SA.

He further revealed that his journey from Denver started with United Airlines, to New Jersey, Ethiopia and then to Lome where ASKY brought him down to Nigeria.

However while on transit at Lome, he was told that his luggage will be received upon his arrival in Lagos, but unfortunately this was never so. He only received 2 out of 3 luggage. He then made a complaint at ASKY's head office in Lagos, initially ASKY allegedly agreed to look for the luggage, and then settled for compensation when they couldn't find it.
 
Mr. Benedict however said they reneged on the compensation agreement, claiming that they are not the only airline involved in the case.

He further revealed that since September, it has been back and forth call from ASKY, as all their calls brought him to a futile search for his luggage, which they are carelessly handling with a turnaround position.

He also attached some repeated Email ASKY airlines sent him and the one he sent;

"Sir Benedict,

Everybody is still tracking your bag. We receive information this morning from ETHIOPIAN Airlines that one bag was found in EWR and they reply that this was forwarded to Lagos via American Airlines. They called the  passenger and after checking he said that it is not for him. Our partner ETHIOPIAN manager in Lagos will call you to get more information as this bag was never deliver to ASKY to be forwarded to Lagos.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience.

I am the person who settled the refund of the bag at the headoffice. But we need an approval from our headoffice and this is on process till yesterday afternoon. I‘m  doing all effort to get the authority and send an email to Lagos to credit your bank account or if you want somebody to collect the refund.

I’d like for you to understand that there are processes that must be followed internally to either find your  luggage or compensate your for its loss and these require some timeframe to do so.

Without doubt the management and staff of ASKY are seeking for me to go public with my notice.

I have pleaded and spoken repeatedly, but with careful appraisal it seems my complaints and desired response is not been considered.

I am also writing to pose questions.

If the management of ASKY and Families of the work forces have had their families deprived of their expectations particularly a new born child been involved, would they appreciate this level of humiliation and deprivation?

Am been charged for decisions I really felt was not necessary.

Controversial singer, Mr Eazi, in a chat with HipTV recounted beautiful memories of the year, and how he is still loved despite being criticized all year round, particularly for his claim of pioneering the infusion of Ghanaian lingo in lyrics.

“I think at the end of the day it is still all love. For instance, I’m just coming straight from Benin, which we shut down. What I saw there, I didn’t know people partied on Wednesdays."

“I was so shocked the DJ had more Mr Eazi songs than my DJ. So after I had finished performing, the DJ continued playing songs. It just goes to show that there is still love and it is just teasing" he said.

On being criticized for running out of hit songs and recycling old ones during performances, Mr Eazi said;

“I think it can be some people’s opinion but if you go out, I’m still performing those songs. I dropped my mixtape in February, and the plan was to promote the mixtape. And I have toured the world with the mixtape,” he said.

“In Benin, I was still performing ‘Short Skirt’, ‘Leg Over’, ‘Business’, ‘Life is Eazi’, that is four songs from a mixtape in one year, and I still performed ‘Pour Me Water’. If I can do that in one year, I think that’s not valid.”

Addressing the ongoing beef between the Ghanaian and Nigerian music industry, he said;

“There is no real hate because if we as Nigerians saw another human being be it Tanzanian or Ghanaian, we would still help. We are happy people, It is not that serious.”

On his relationship with Temi Otedola, daughter of a popular oil magnate Femi Otedola, Eazi said:

“It is one of the highlights of my year. It’s been one of the nicest things to happen to me this year. You know love is sweet. At least I have more inspiration for plenty songs."

“So don’t be shocked that my new songs are going to be love-based.”

Earlier today we reported that superstar singer Kiss Daniel who left his former record label, G-Worldwide Entertainment to launch his own record label 'Flyboy Inc', was dragged to court by his former record label.

However Kiss Daniel's camp said they 'have not received letter or court papers from anyone', following G-Worldwide's public notice and obtaining a court injunction dated November 30, 2017.
