[quote author=wwwihy post=99885098]Good comparison... We have made tremendous progress at home courtesy Government of Lagos State led by Former Governor and Incoming President of Nigeria Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu and succeeding administrations in Lagos State.

The Government of President Muhammadu Buhari has invested much also in infrastructures more than his predecessors combined since Independence.

Unlike some miscreants and wailers comparing the best over there with our worst here, you have tried to strike a balance and being objective in your comparison.

Actually, the new Lagos Bus Shelters have Places to Sit

Sequel to the decent dressing gist on page 42,noticed M&S had big sale this week so we went in..
Got clothes dirt cheap..

See the shirt was initially sold for £29.50, then they had a sale and the price was slashed to £15, then another and price was £7, then this sale which DH got the shirt at £2.89.

Same for the trousers.. £35 to £19 finally £3.49
Holy hell! huh Dead cheap! You can't get this in Nigeria for anything below 5k.

By the way, this marketing strategy amaze me

Happy2020:
Those who h BBBaven’t traveled think living abroad is Disneyland. It had its perks but you also have to bust your azz to pay these bills every single month and when you don’t pay, you get kicked out of your place or the utilities get turned off or they even come and take your car.
Living abroad comes with the stress of maintaining yourself monthly. People borrow money so they can take their annual trip back to Naija just to floss and flex then they spend the rest of the year or more paying that bill.
And you think people in Nigeria don't work equally as hard to pay their bills? Don't even get me started about the landlords with their crappy structures.

To anyone who thinks abroad is stressful, care to come back home? cool

Living cost varies from city to city. Also, a menial job worker wouldn't be living in an apartment that costs 1800 zl monthly I suppose without having a good job.
Nevertheless, that 1800zl mentioned is expensive.
My calculations was for a relatively big city like Krakow. I was just amazed seeing your total monthly cost of living is around 1700 zloty, like, I love your frugality man cool.

Poland.

Monthly Rent - 390 pln (dorm) - (roughly 47k).

Groceries ( rough estimate 250 Pln) - 30,750k.

Internet (when I leave the dorm) - 30 zloty (3,690k)

Miscellaneous - 200zloty

Total less than 150k. Quite cheap.
Minimum wage in Poland is 3000 zloty and according to cost of living website Numbeo, living cost monthly without rent is around 2100 zloty while a single bedroom outside of city center cost roughly 1800 zloty. If so, I was wondering how on earth do menial job workers survive in Poland? Please explain.

Note that women are not independently minded. They will default towards agreeing with whatever the opinion of other women is.

If one woman in a group likes you, and all the others haven’t met you yet, the other women will be inclined to also like you. If one woman in the group dislikes you, and all the others haven’t met you yet, the other women will be inclined to also dislike you.

Whatever one woman in a group thinks of you, is probably what all the women in the group think of you.

This was certainly bought from the road side.

The truth is that given the sorry state of the economy, you will not get your money's value for any pastry you buy for 50 naira or 100 naira.

If you really want to enjoy meatpie, fish roll and co,it's better you buy from fast food restaurant.
Pretty sure you have no idea that around 50% of Nigerians are poor. Shelling out 500 to 1000 just to have a taste of a good pie is beyond the reach of the average Nigerian.

What do you expect when the North has refused to sell cattle to anyone? Enjoy your egg pie.
Has little to nothing to do with the stance Northern business men took. More to do with our crumbling economy.

In Kaduna state, for a long time now, meat pies are often stuffed with Irish potato porridge. Some mix with little meat though.

For those who have arrived Poland I have some questions:
1. Was the work same as on the work permit?
2. Is the pay same as stated on the work permit?
3. How do you see the reception you got when you arrived?
4. Will you advice someone who currently earn 250k averagely in Nigeria to relocate there?
Holy hell! huh You earn ¼ of a million here in Nigeria and you wanna migrate to Poland, c'mon bro you deserve better.

Poland to most of us is a stepping stone just like many others UAE, China, Malaysia Czech republic so on. No Nigerian wish to live there forever.

You better save more and target more advanced countries like Germany, UK, Canada, Australia etc. It is far better than , and you will earn way better, plus top notch standard of living poles could only dream of. You better have a rethink to avoid "had I know"

Like say frost bite never sama you before.

On a serious note, I think the language barrier is one major hurdle plus extreme weather conditions why Nigerians wouldn't prefer a switch to Russia
Plus low income which I think could be the major reason.
