PoliticsRe: We Can’t Have Intervention Programmes For Poor People Without NIN – Tinubu by Litmus: 11:59am On Mar 16, 2024
President Bola Tinubu has declared that without National Identity Card registration and comprehensive data coverage, it is nearly impossible for the government to provide social welfare measures for low-income people.
Indeed("data coverage"especially). Same applies to nearly every aspect of national development.

If Nigeria wants to become that exemplary super power nation for the black world that she is capable of being, I don't know how to express urgently enough how crucial it is for Nigeria to get to grips with it's unwieldy population by quantifying them in Data Records.
PoliticsRe: Border Reopening: FG Gets $1.3 Billion Funding For Rail Link To Niger Republic by Litmus:
Those questioning Nigeria's sovereignty make sense. Any individual who thinks of it long enough - regardless of whether the individual is naturally delusional -would concede that, overall, any railway from Nigeria to Niger Republic advantages Niger Republic above Nigeria. From this they should conclude that the rail line is for Niger Republic not Nigeria. The question then arises why is Nigeria borrowing money for a railway meant for Niger Republic ? The obvious answer would be that Niger Republic asked Nigeria to loan money to build railway for Niger Republic that encroaches into Nigeria, money that Niger Republic could not borrow because Niger Republic wasn't credit worthy enough. Worst, it may be that a none African nation that owns Niger Republic ordered Nigeria to pay for a railway line for her asset Niger Republic. A railway line into Nigeria that benefits that none African nation and Niger Republic and, humiliatingly, Nigeria must foot the bill.

He who orders you to slap yourself, and you had to do so, absolutely owns you!

Is this to do with Nigeria's planned train investment to Niger Republic or are Nigerians so hungry they are ready to eat Uranium ore?

CrimeRe: Enugu Lawyer, Eli Ugwu, Shot Dead In Kogi After Delivering Ransom To Kidnappers by Litmus: 11:45am On Mar 13, 2024
Composure under pressure and ways of identifying the right target in tight, fraught situations need to be a large part of SWAT police training in Nigeria if not already the case.
CrimeRe: Enugu Lawyer, Eli Ugwu, Shot Dead In Kogi After Delivering Ransom To Kidnappers by Litmus: 11:23am On Mar 13, 2024
If the lawyer was shot by police then it is reasonable to imagine that the police mistook him and cousin for the kidnappers. Further that there may have been a prior plan or strategy in place to deal with the kidnap situation involving police and layer that tragically unraveled at the crucial moment (heat of the moment).

These sorts of things happen - ironically termed "Friendly Fire" Incident. Nigeria did not invent the term.

PoliticsRe: Bandits Demand N40 Trillion, 150 Bikes To Release 16 Kaduna Residents by Litmus: 11:42pm On Mar 11, 2024
N40 trillion - just enough to buoy the economies of Niger, Bukina Fasso and Mali until Russia is ready to step in.

Nigeria just needs to creat a Bank of Free mony on the Northern borders for the people of the Sahel so that they will leave us alone.

While at it set up freebie grain silos for them because without Western Aid they are going to face starvation in the coming years.....

Nigeria could import US feral pigs. They breed worst than rats. These pigs were imported to America from Russia. Nigeria has the ideal climate for the proliferation of this type of critter.

There's much the Nigeria state could do to fight hunger if hunger is an actual situation in Nigeria and not just a politicised one.

Can’t beat them? Eat them: the fight against the US wild boar plague

Nigerians complaining about speed without realising how lucky they are that they have the option to speed undecided Order is good, too much of it is bad for humanity.

One of the things I've often wished Nigeria would implement are specific highways without speed limit. Something like the German autobahn that are sadly being criticised by other nations that are part of the European Union. I hope Germany remain resolute and leave the Autobahn speeding free.
PoliticsRe: Food Smuggling: FG Intercepts 141 Grain Trucks, Drivers Threaten Strike..... by Litmus: 1:45am On Mar 07, 2024
Well, if Nigerians say they are starving, the Nigeria government has the right to requisition food for Nigerians that Nigeria farmers or traders are intending for trade with foreign nations.

In an environment of food emergency, the Nigeria government has the right to place the ever gaping mouths and rumbling stomachs of Nigerians before trading cereals with other nations. Towards, this end government may mandate as illegal the trading of farm produce outside Nigeria. Consequently, traders ferrying produce for trade abroad may be considered smugglers.

For those of you supporting this rubbish, I hope you don't complain when the hen comes home to roost. They have started with Govt. Warehouses and have move to stealing people's goods in truck, goods either bought on credit or someone's hard earn money and you're laughing about it and making a joke of it saying it is hunger. I hope when they start breaking into your shops and homes you will still understand it's hunger? We were in South South when Militancy started and they were kidnapping the white expatriate people laughed it off and said it's just the white, they don't kidnap black people because they are our sons, the white began to go back to their country and when there where no more whites to kidnap they started kidnapping their so called black brothers who worked in oil companies, people still laughed it off that they only kidnap oil workers, when oil companies began to leave they started kidnapping rich men, people started saying they only kidnap rich people, today everyone is a target weather rich or poor nobody is spared. Same thing happened in the North with Boko haram, same thing in the east with UGM, here we are again cheering this looters. I hope when they start breaking into the homes of your age fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, cousins, uncles and aunties. I hope by that time we will also understand it is hunger?
Those that urge them often don't live in Nigeria. A great deal of it are from Troll Farms in other West Africa Nations.

Warehouse Looting: Hungry People Can't Remove Doors, Windows - Minister
Very true. During one period of my life, I've starved. I had no energy. In reality, A Hungry Man Is A Lethargic Man not an angry one. I recon the saying, A Hungry Man Is An Angry man isn't literal but metaphor describing the pit- stomach hunger that drive some people inhabiting the lowest strater of society to seek uplifting change in all aspects of their lives.
CrimeRe: Spanish Blogger On India Motorcycle Tour Gang-raped by Litmus: 1:13pm On Mar 04, 2024
When that female Dutch vlogger traveled through Nigeria on motorbike, comments warning her on dangers of Nigeria were overwhelming. However, I wasn't so overwhelmed that I couldn't respond to many, calling them ignorant. I let them know Nigeria was possibly one of the safest counties, relatively, for tourists.

Ironically, posters, presumably Indians, were among the most virulent Nigeria critics on that YouTube channel. They kept putting Nigeria down and elevating India, encouraging the Dutch lady to revisit India. This, tourist-raped-in-India, news is going to make those comments embarrassing. On the other hand, there have been many historic cases of tourists raped in India without this negatively impacting single or group tourists visits to India. That nation lives an undeservedly charmed life. undecided
CrimeRe: Kaduna Residents Block Company Truck, Loot Food Items (Video) by Litmus: 12:25pm On Mar 04, 2024
Natural thieves and deviants in Nigeria are too often emboldened by political and social groups in their role as opposition to the status quo. This nature of opposing the relevant current office holder needs to stop. Exploiting unlawful antisocial behaviour for political point scoring is count productive because it can very quickly lead to situations that disadvantages everyone.

All Nigeria political parties, civil society groups and social media voices need to register disapproval at criminal behaviour whenever and wherever it arises!

Another thing, the problem with Nigeria's juvenile Opposition Politics culture - it can entrap self besides it's contradictions. For instance, what happened with "North Does Not Feed Nigeria?" when everyone is now crying starvation due to attacks on Northern farmers?
PoliticsRe: Video Of FCT Abuja Residents Looting NEMA Warehouse (video) by Litmus: 12:54am On Mar 04, 2024
No border control, no records, consequently Nigeria dose not know if her territories are awash with West Africa's unproductive surpluses.

In Nigeria's position, the leading European nations such as UK, Germany and France would simply take advantage of their own bureaucratic shortcomings and deport half the population for having no national documentations such as birth certificates.

People will be making mouth in Nigeria talking about, " this Shithole country", yet they are often times in precarious positions without knowing it. If Nigeria became a serious place many could be picked up and denied citizenship because many do not have a Nigeria birth certificate. Of course, they believe they would rely on forgery but a serious nation - such as Nigeria could become overnight - would have means of identifying forgery.
PoliticsRe: Hardship: Hoodlums loot truckload Of Spaghetti In Zaria by Litmus: 12:39am On Mar 02, 2024
"hardship" as excuse for robbery and looting. angry Nigerians readying to adopt the US and UK ghetto rat culture!

In UK, black youths often site racism as reason why they destroy their neighborhoods, why they engage in looting, stabbing and setting fires to private and public property.

Nigeria's Opposition Politics mustn't indirectly encourage criminality by excusing it as the result of Hardship. The danger is reinforced by the fact that there is no crime on earth that one couldn't excuse on grounds of one form of poverty or another.

In 2024 Nigeria is struggling to make locomotive work, struggling to deliver 3 hrs a day electricity and discussing farmers and herders crisis that is leading to food shortage...

These "Hell" and "Shithole" analogies are beginning to loose thire shock value. This is the problem with adjectives and hyperboles; eventually they become tiresome and boring.

SportsRe: Nigerian Supporters Club Still On The Road From Ivory Coast, Bus Spoils In Ghana by Litmus: 2:48pm On Feb 25, 2024
Nigerians are the kindest people in the world. I'm increasingly convinced of this. I would bet my life on it, if situation were reversed, and a coach filled with Ghana fans was stranded in Nigeria, Nigerians would rally assistance. Nigerians would help fix that coach or and arrange alternative transport and get those Ghanians home the first day.

But see the Ghanian response to a stranded Nigerian coach in thire country. Nothing. They left the Nigerians there to struggle for days without end.

Someone need to phone Tinabu and tell him ECOWAS isn't working. A Nigeria football fans coach is stranded in Ghana, the Ghanaians aren't acting in the spirit of the economic and social cooperation of ECOWAS, they are leaving the Nigerians to starve to death. Send help at once to rescue your football fans!
