Udantu:What happens to the citizens' right to vote? INEC should not have included APC candidates on the ballot papers in the first place. However, court asked them to and now those citizens that voted APC can still go to court to fight for their right. Their votes can only be void or rejected and must be included in the final votes cast. In this case, there are more voided votes than valid.. Supreme court should have called for new election without APC. When the president is inaugurated on 29th, he may approach NASS to approve an administrator for Zamfara State. The question is what happens between May 29 and this period if INEC should take a position that is not immediately giving pdp candidate certificate of returned. The CJ of the state may take over. |
Topdigitalad:Have you been to PH, Calabar, Warri ports and they are not functioning? Is it government that will be using the Ports or importers? Do you want numerous manufacturing companies in Ogun and Lagos to import their materials and chemicals through PH and Co? Do you want things going to Kano, Kaduna, Rep. of Niger to be taken to Eastern flanks when you can ship your goods through Lagos without happen to pay higher fees to shipping companies. Have you asked importers what stopped them from using Calabar, Warri ports. Do you know that international shipping lines have routes and when you move an inch out of Lagos you will pay heavily for extra distance, damage to ship, security (piracy), etc? Reasons importers prefer Lagos and haul their goods by roads. What stopped GEJ from making these ports, that you said were not functioning, function during his time? I believe with time, as this government is working hard on transportation - railways in the West, South, East and North, these ports will change for better. Warri ports just received billions for its upgrading while the proposed one in Akwa Ibom is receiving serious attention. I also believe if the manufacturing capacities of Aba, Uyo, Owerri, Enugu, Makurdi, etc increased, the ports will come alive and be put to use. |
frowland:Yes; it favours him and Osinbajo because of their religion. |

kernel01:Who is not aware of your insulting nature? So degrading Tinubu is Igbo issue? I just don't want ethnics' bashing in normal brotherly debates. Before you say Jack, the Yoruba guys will be here to defend their brother, even if they hate him. |
kernel01:I believe Tinubu's name is hunting you all! What brought Yoruba's Tinubu to your Alaigbo issue? You're simply looking for ethnic bashing! The @Osagyefo98 you're quoting is a known Igbo guy on Nairaland. |
Timmypromise:The every year May 30th sit-at-home of ipob has been dealt with by moving democracy day from May 29th to June 12th. He may now move the sit-at-home to June 13 |
I like the South South people for one thing: they know how to press the emotional 'mumu' Button of their slaves. |
Excaperx:I will not insult you back. I hope the Mod will do their job. You quickly accepted that Irele and Ose are of Bini and should be ceded to Edo, but quickly insult person when he stated that Yoruba language is used in some communities in Akoko Edo, Owan and Ovia LGAs. I hope the Mod will look into your activities on this platform with different monikers opening hate threads everywhere, with elementary knowledge, abusive and claiming to be who you're not. |
Excaperx:So because Yoruba language is used in Akoko Edo, Owan, Ovia, etc. the aforementioned LGAs should be ceded to Ondo State? I don't know when Ikale and Owo speaking Yorubas become Edo. |
It is wrong to say, ''How is your studies'' in formal situation. Correct form is, ''How are your studies". |
So using Yoruba's 'Babaloja' instead of 'chairman' is your own major problem; the one picked is one of the marketers there. There is no market without leadership in the East. Must we use English words for Babaloja, Iyaloja? Market is part of Yoruba Tradition which you cannot change. Most markets are under the kings and local government jurisdiction; each LGA can decide what they want not you. If you're not comfortable with this tradition just relocate your markets or selling to the East or your village where there may be no market leadership. |
eyinjuege:just hold down the letter for a second on Gboard (Google keyboard), you will find Yoruba Vowels and consonant 'ṣ' and marks, eg, Okòó - 20. |
IKON360:One plus(flagship), Oppo(Midrange), Vivo(Budget) are subsidiaries of the same company, BBK, same owner just like Transsion(Tecno, Infinix, itel). That doesn't mean one can't find midrange Vivo phones or midrange One plus but expect high cost for One plus phones. |
schoolboij:There are also variations in the North; Muhammad, Muhammed, Muhammadu; Adam, Adamu; Yari, Kyari; Yusef, Yusufu, Yesufu, etc. Even Yorubas in Benin Republic and Togo use French to pronounce and write their names, eg Tope - Toupe, etc, just as Niger Republic Hausas use French to spell theirs. Mischief makers want Yoruba Muslims to be fanatical just like some northerners so that they can be burning their shops every now and then in the West. Most Yoruba and Hausa Muslims are Sunnis just as most Turkish and Afghan Muslims are Sunnis. Because a Turkey man is bearing Muhammet doesn't make him inferior Muslim to an Afghan named Muhammed. Better still, that UAE Muslims are peaceful don't make them inferior or lesser Muslims to Somalis. People decide the congregation they want and prefer to attend even within a denomination. I may decide to attend RCCG model parish to normal classic parish, etc |
Gatsbythegreat1:Ogun - Right, Straight |
Afospecialk:IGBO is another: Igbo - Bush Igbo - headbutt Igbo - group or herd of Igbo - Hemp, etc, etc |
ekestic1976:This happened also in 1960 and 1963 with Nwazu Orizu and Zik them with nothing for the Yorubas, who already mastered how to play opposition politics. It happened again in 2011 under President Jonathan, though Yorubas voted for him this time around. The Yorubas didn't emotionally kill themselves that minister Adesina was the most senior Yoruba man in the cabinet while Igbos occupied juicy slots including DSP, DHS, etc. |
Cheiii! See what 'Attache-by-force' has caused! 'We South South/South East, We South South, Our oil money'; chei! Can't these people just stand on their own and truthfully without scams fight for the perceived injustice against them? |
Saraki, who is being supported by very antagonistic and hateful people of the nation, has been relegated from corridors of power by greed and negative ambition. |
Fela Anikulapo Kuti's Afrobeat was the genuine foundation of the current Beat. |
ZesusHVWritter:It depends on what you need in a phone; for specifications, hardware and pricing, Xiaomi is on top of the midrange phones, but fail in software updating and durability where Nokia, etc have edge. Xiaomi is also believed to have one of the worst customer service of any business in the world. |
See pain! Just because your own slavery to Atiku and the north failed to materialise. |
There was nothing like Bini Empire but Yoruba Oba's Bini Kingdom. Only four empires existed in West Africa: Ghana, Mali, Songhai and Oyo. Then we had Ife, Bini etc. as kingdoms... There are differences among empires, kingdoms, Caliphate, etc. Igodomigodo people could not even rule themselves not to talk of having an Empire. What was their System of government, how organised were they? Why did Binis end up with less than 7 LGA and Yorubas having hundreds and in about 8 states with one unique language, tradition and culture? Remove Yoruba Oba, Arts, Religion and Culture, Igodomigodo is empty. https://courses.lumenlearning.com/boundless-worldhistory/chapter/west-african-empires/ |
Ikeboboafri:You would have easily won House of representative seat by now and your father-in-law collected his certificate of return without being seized by INEC. |
hisexcellency34:Why was Ihejirika more popular than Bade? |
goalernestman:It's the other way round; there was nothing like Bini Empire but Yoruba Oba's Bini Kingdom. Only four empires existed in West Africa: Ghana, Mali, Songhai and Oyo. Then we had Ife, Bini etc. as kingdoms... https://courses.lumenlearning.com/boundless-worldhistory/chapter/west-african-empires/ |
goalernestman:You've said nothing above and I don't argue with Bini revisionists with their moonlight tales. Nothing like Benin Empire because Igodomigodo people couldn't rule themselves not to talk of having an Empire. What you had was Bini Kingdom with powerful Yoruba Oba and Yoruba culture; remove that, Bini history is empty like the others to the east. The old Bini was a city state which the coming of Yoruba Oba helped to build and now having extended land of 7 Local government areas including 2 Ovia being Occupied by Ijaws, Itsekiris, Yorubas, etc. and some Binis. So in your dreams you expanded more than people in present hundreds of LGA in about 8 states with one unique language, great traditions, art and culture whose Binis even borrowed from and adopted. There is nothing I can teach a baby... I will post a link of European write up about system of government in Oyo. I want you to post a link of system of government in Igodomigodo... Remove Yoruba Oba and culture, Igodomigodo is always empty without single system of government, culture or history. I know very well that Prof George Ayittey is not a Yoruba man, you should be able to read his write up and stop the stupid ranting of primary school boy about nonexistence of Oyo or European never written about Oyo: http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Oyo_Empire https://seunfakze./2012/02/19/the-oyo-empire-by-prof-george-ayittey/ https://courses.lumenlearning.com/boundless-worldhistory/chapter/west-african-empires/ http://www.fsmitha.com/h3/h28af3-4.htm http://www.tubmaninstitute.ca/sites/default/files/file/LAW_Oyo_texts.pdf

goalernestman:You can't continue to base argument on African history on sparse knowledge of some Europeans. Get books from earliest African writers, particularly from Timbuktu's Scholars. This has been resolved several times if you ever read genuine history books: Bini situated few kilometres from the sea and the Portugese, your gods, easily made contact with her. Whereas Oyo was several hundreds kilometres from the sea (far above Ilorin and very close to River Niger); your Portugese that could not get through Aworis and Ijebus couldn't have ventured or reached Oyo capital alive. It took the Britons years to penetrate Yorubas' inter-land. Look for books translated from Arabic by writers from Songhai or Timbuktu, you will find a lot about Oyo Empire but nothing about Bini... |
