A young Nigerian man has taken to Facebook to lament after spending N50,000 to celebrate a girl’s birthday only for her to make it clear that she is not ready for any relationship. According to Fanta Boy Ekwem, pictured right, ”If I ask for my money back now or beat her up people will say am a stupid boy, but na the girl stupid pass. Why can’t she accept me if not for anything but for the sake of what I spent on her birthday.”

“Am heartbroken why are Girls this wicked? Where can this wickedness led you girls?

There’s this girl living in my street she came to me and told me that she is doing her birthday, she said she will like me to be there I said okay I will come. This last Wednesday was the birthday I told some of  my friends that we gonna go there and surprise her so we got there at a hotel in Lagos island(De Heavens hotel). I spent almost 50k to celebrate birthday for this girl that we haven’t even started dating properly.. but just a day after the birthday I walk up to her and declared my intention that I love her and I will like to date her that’s why I spent such money on her birthday.,

she made it clear to me that she is not ready for any relationship, I was disappointed after all I spent on her. If I ask for my money back now or beat her up people will say am a stupid boy, but na the girl stupid pass. But do you know it's a lot easier for a man to be very deliberate about the kind of woman he gets into a relationship with? Different women have got different backgrounds, and also differing needs. It is already an established fact that women like money... even the men know this. They'd always expect some form of gifting or assistance from whoever they are in a relationship with. Preach from now till tomorrow, it won't change.

The best thing therefore is to be careful about who you date. If you date a girl that attends weddings every now and then, you'll buy lots of aso-ebis If you date the type that has some type of skin and likes to dress up, etc. She'll surely expect bills from you.

Hi,

While installing wordpress, you installed it in a directory named "wp". If you had installed it in a directory named 'charlie', the site will be accessible via the url www.digipix.com.ng/charlie/

First: On wordpress admin, Go to Settings > General and remove the subdirectory from the URL for both the WordPress Address and Site Address. Be sure to remove the trailing / . Both addresses should simply end with .com.ng(as per your domain name)
Click to save changes.

Second - now, login to cpanel, move all files from your /wp to your root(public_html)

Third: Login to your wordpress admin, Go to Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes. This will rewrite your .htaccess file to remove the
subdirectory from the page URLs.

You can use this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/velvet-blues-update-urls/) to update all your URLs.

Hello Nairalanders, My girlfriend of two years broke up with me. She broke up with me because of my financial situation right now.

I have been struggling for like 5 months now then she started acting weird and calling me names. The whole thing started when a guy I don't know bought her an iPhone last month. She lied she got it herself which I know is not true. We fought, argued then she went on to block me on WhatsApp.

She has has been avoiding me but asking me for money. Then Started saying She knew I would never gets out of this broke-ness. She told me I am addicted to brokeness that I can never make it in life. The same girl I pay part of her third year school fee, I paid her final year school when their school payment portal was almost closed, I sold my expensive iPhone and some other gadgets for a very shameful price. I once did everything any guy would do for a girlfriend. I used to spoil her with everything when I have money. I've bought her phone twice, Take care of her school bills time to time. Use my things to loan money to send money to her. I did some stupid things just to satisfy this girl.

After everything she told me I did nothing for her that I am addicted to poverty that they told her I'm destined to be poor. She text all sorts of terrible things and insulted my parents that's when I slammed her with some crazy text back (My parents? No No I won't take that shi.t).

This girl I lose my everything just to make her happy. Worst of it is that I am at the most toughest time of my life now. Last week I lose almost a million, I am still healing from that. Her words are affecting me mentally. I adore this girl because she was once a nice and good girl any guy would want to date in fact to be honest, she is the most beautiful girl I've ever meet all my life.

He said you Igbos have commerce and industry. Your people travel all over the world, many send money back to their parents and their communities, from their diasporan jobs.

The South West has commerce also, education, thriving airports and Seaports.

The Middle belt has agriculture and Food, and we accommodate them by giving them jobs.

So we must leave power to them in the North. That power, is all they have to survive on. That whether you guys leave power for us or not, we have designed a foolproof means to take power and hold on to it till 2031. He said that power to the North is not a desire or want, but a genuine need for the survival of the Northerner. That in the next 48hrs, I will see what will happen, and how easily Buhari will be declared winner. I said impossible. He said just watch.

He told me that the North suffered while Obasanjo and Jonathan were in power. He said OBJ retired all their Generals. OBJ gave the ministry of Finance to a Southerner for the first time, that Jonathan did same. That if not for El Rufai and Ribadu putting their foot down in 2007, that Obasanjo was almost going to hand power over to a Southerner in the name of Peter Odili. He said that that singular move by El Rufai and Ribadu will make one of them President after Buhari in 2023.

He said the North will never go back to playing second fiddle. Their experience from 1999 to 2015 is not one they will forget in a while. That the North loves Buhari, because he gives all his appointments to Northerners. That whenever a northerner is in charge of a sector, they recruit and promote northerners, and it's effects last for more than 20yrs, and help their people survive, which is why they love and admire Buhari's approach to appointments.

He went on to say that Atiku is from an unrecognized Adamawa State and is almost a Kanuri. That him and his restructuring agenda will never be allowed to rule. That he knows it, and all the North know it, which is why the elections in the North are peaceful and there is no fighting, thuggery and killing. That the North know that Atiku's policies will advance the South and send the North into deep poverty, not on purpose, but by sharing the power, so they will not let him on board. That PDP shot themselves in the foot by choosing Atiku. A man from the Northwest, Tambuwal or Kwankwaso would have done it, and kept power in the North for them, but Atiku is far too exposed.

He even went as far as telling me that the south should forget 2023, and 2027. That the North have agreed that the south will not have power again till 2031, at the earliest and so it shall be. By which time they will have Fulani emirates in cattle colonies in Ebonyi, Oyo and Edo State, whether we like it or not.

They have told Ribadu and El Rufai to warm up, that it will be one of them in 2023, most likely the former, who is being kept away from controversy.

I asked what about Tinubu and Osinbajo. He laughed louder than ever. He described Tinubu as the biggest southern fool alive. He said they in the North were surprised that he would be fighting for Buhari's second term, after all Buhari did to him in his first four year term. He had none of his ministerial appointments approved and was shut completely out. All it took was Buhari attending his birthday party for his heart to melt. His VP was also shut out and is continously disgraced in Aso Rock. The only VP in the history of Nigeria that cannot see the president without going through an administrative staff, the chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. He said they do not trust Osinbajo, hence keeping him out of sensitive meetings, and that he will never be President, except he is ready to wait for 2031, but he is not their type.
