That's another thing ladies do to loose the right guy.

many foolish girls won't open their eyes and get their priorities straight. they looking for the perfect guy that has everything...and only a complete pretender appears perfect

LAST BULLET: the main reason most married women engage in extra_marital affair is because the HUSBAND is not financialy bouyant.
Why go into a relationship when you don't have money for it??
You can use the girl all you want but not marry her and dump her? shocked that's wickedness

If he got no money than he shouldn't be thinking of women but work and more work. a good marriage-type woman would appreciate the effort and support anyway she can, afterall na two of them dey the same boat

realborn: Shamefully, societal pressure has led us to believe that the event called wedding is a mandatory dependency for survival. Unfortunately it should not be so.

If the conversation is culled from a true life experience, I deeply pity the lady and completely respect the guy. It is very tough for any husband to build a suitable home with a contemporary and modern day wife with a remuneration of N120,000 per month.

I remember years ago when I was basking in the euphoria of getting married because I had few millions stashed somewhere, how a senior colleague called me and said "wedding is a day's event but marriage lasts a life time". It made little sense at the time because I was getting married to my Dearly beloved whom I had known for 11 years and dated actively for 9 years.

Today we have gone through several storms of marital life and have only been able to remain strong because I yearned for it without being coerced and she has remained content thus far. If she had exhibited any overriding and desperate attribute of the female respondent in the subject conversation, we definitely would have hit the rocks.

I have seen many blissful weddings lead to eternal traumas for the parties involved. I have seen many men develop kleptomaniac vices because of the insatiable desires of their wives fashioned after the similitude of "I want what my friends have".

If indeed the female respondent truly desires to settle and marry her male respondent, she needs to reassure him of her readiness to leave her high horse, receive an inexpensive engagement ring that he can afford without pomp and pageantry; get married at the registry at a mid week service, host few family and friends at an eatery to cut costs on an expensive reception; and settle with him wherever he can afford even if it is the most remote of places. Thereafter, they should join efforts to save and plan for the advent of kids.

If unwilling to accept the aforementioned conditions, she should pray fervently for her man to immediately land a suitable job with a pay that will meet her lifestyle demands. Until then I advise she stays in the relationship and continue to enjoy the comfort of her man.

Finally, marriage is not compulsory. It leads to trauma if rushed into!
What rubbish is this angry you call 4yrs relationship rushinghuh My ancestors didn't spend a month in relationships
If a man knows he don't want marriage, he should not get a woman in a relationship with him
Stay and hustle till you ready, not bring the girl to your door when you not planning on opening it to let her it

pansophist: Why shifting the blame to the guy alone? girls can be idiotic in relationships, they love like foo.l and rarely attach common sense to issues very important. Why ask him after four years of relationship if he would marry her? she made it seems like marriage is a reward that must be awarded to her after dating him, as if the boy did not also ''waste'' four years of his life with her too.

I will also run away from a girl that can pay her engagement ring and take care of the marriage expenses, that is desperation in a very high voltage and I dont wanna fall a victim to her unknown mission.

She is even getting married not because she know what marriage is, but for society and her biological clock reading, she no try at all in her own part.

The Guy is just brutally sincere, daz all!
Of course the girl was foolish.shey when her mama told her to close her legs when she was still a kid she refused to take that advice into adulthood.
If she never made the guy comfortable, he would have taken her seriously.

if we were in the good old days guys like that should be taken to the stake and stoned to death, while the mumu girl gets banished...best thing for her as no sane man who knew her all along would take her

Sixix: Are you serious?

A responsible person should know his/her with whom they are into a relationship with WITHIN a month and before going to a relationship both parties must table out what they want and the aims for going into that relationship. If they fail to do so, they are solely responsible for whatever happens afterwards.

As for me, I intend to follow all the Yoruba pre-marriage stages to the letter. I don't play games undecided
3cycle: Rubbish
If after 6months I dnt knw where the relationship is heading to, I quit.
My mom and dad never dated but got married and they stayed by each other till my dads last breath.
Beautiful. Our cultural systems (at least for Yoruba that I know) for building marriages is the best, no rushing but no wasting time.
Why waste ur life with a person for years when you know from the start you can never marry her/him??

Total rubbish! All this colo-mental behaviour in our society is just disgusting

Say no to long-term relationship.

Honestly the girl is already used and dumped. no sane man knowing that she spent 4years with a man would takeher seriously

but these ladies would not learn from stories like this, they would open themselves up totally for a man they aren't married to

Lemme tell you a little story I picked up.
Ogun the same known as Adimu to his peers was they son of a woman from Ekiti region best known as Oluwo, she was brought to the palace as a slave to be used as sacrifice so Okanbi(some might say it was actually oduduwa) might have children. after some incidence of misunderstanding, at night the slave was made to sleep in one of the Queen's rooms, which Okanbi went in thinking it was his wife.
the next day as the ritual was to commence, It was revealed that she was pregnant and a pregnant woman can't be used as sacrifice, she was advised to become an Ifa priestess, which many consider her the first Iyanifa in history. at the birth of her child, the wives of Okanbi got pregnant one by one- the 7sons of Okanbi. Ogun was the eldest son of oduduwa's house and lived as a prince helping his mother out in the work of priesthood which got him the nickname Oonirisha. After the transition of oduduwa, he took the position of Olufe as Olofin Adimula. He remains one of the most influential and significant rulers in Ife, the Olojo festival started with him

cbrass: Because I asked why Alake is considered the senior of Olowu doesn't mean I didn't know how Olowu formed Owu, infact there are some issues behind it cos It was not too long that OBJ helped them solve the dispute some few years back, out of Oduduwa's son there is no Ogun so where did u get yours from. Wether you like it or not Ooni is a preist and not a king!
You are just a waste of time..go learn Yoruba history and stop reading online oyo-centric articles trying to undermine the sacredness of the Ooni title

cbrass: Wao am so pleased, I don't even know all this. Buy why will some people continue to push the Ooni as the senior of Aalafin? I even learnt that the Owa of Ijesaland, exposed some secrets about the Ooni not being any king let alone to be called the senior of Alafin. I also leanrt that Ooni could have been the son of a stranger that came or wass passing through Ile-ife during a festival when no one was supposed to be outside. She was spared and her son made to serve in the shrine hence he was named Ooni meaning "the strange one". Please does iwere still exists. As for that Owu story-am quite confused that the Alake seems to be held in high esteem than Olowu in Egbaland, what could have caused it? Thanks
Omg!shocked what's all this?

Cbrass aren't u the same one who posted this to me

its you that should go an learn , not me.
first of all go and find the true meaning of
Ooni and how that name came up..pls dont
bring the olofin crap you have been giving
me since oo, then i will know if you truly
know history but without that am your boss
and you must always look up to me
After this bragging you don't know about how Olowu got his crown, you don't know how Olowu got to Egbaland and why Alake is considered his senior in egba hierarchy, you don't know Ooni is Ogun the eldest son of oduduwa's household

grin grin for a boy like you challenging me I find it funny...
Pls go learn Yoruba history from your uncles at home and stop speaking on what you don't know

Ooni is the most sacred title in Yorubaland, the fact that it's Ooni today and not Olofin like it was back then doesn't change a thing

igbodefender: Can those skeptical about Igbos being the aboriginal Bantus who contributed so much to Bantu civilization here explain why Bantu countries like Zimbabwe and Malawi have several names that share the 'Chi' prefix common in Igbo language? For instance Chinamasa (sounds like the Igbo name Chinasa) is a popular Zimbabwean name. Other Southern African names that share the 'Chi' prefix include' Chibundu' (sounds like the Igbo name Chinwendu) and Chikwemba.

PS: I'm sure if I didn't tell you these were Southern African names, you would think they were Igbo names. Don lie.

Instead of stressing yourself looking for names that are igbo-like, u should check if the names mean anything similar to their sound alike in Igbo.
This would be vital in pushing your claims

McWhillion: As a human I am free to believe in whatever I choose to believe in.

Traditional worshippers believe in Polytheism- believe in many gods.

Hindus believe in Brahman

Atheists believe in the nonexistence of any god/God.

I ve chosen to foolishly, stupidly, irrationally, mumuly and illogically(let the guys who would quote me add theirs) believe in Monotheism- the believe in one Supreme Being.

Like someone pointed out on this thread I ve chosen to believe in the fabricated story of Jesus

I am one insensible African who has chosen to accept salvation from a corpse

I ve also chosen to have blind faith or delusion in Jesus

I ve chosen to be called zombie for stupidly believing in a Jesus that the Jews rejected.

BUT WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS WHY THE ATHEISTS ON THIS THREAD ARE SO CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT I BELIEVE IN.

See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men's ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah).……Col. 2:8.

We wish for change and development but that can only happen when stuupid people are less than the intelligent ones

I have faith but not blind faith=delusion.
I only have faith in what I perceive plausible with rationality and logical thoughts as it fits with my reality..faith is a belief, similar to trust that every man has in one thing or the other, but how and what leads to our faith is different.

thorpido: It's one thing to quote scriptures,it's another thing to have an understanding of it.Remember the devil also quoted scripture when he tempted Jesus.
Jesus was sent primarily to Israel but how come He ministered to non-jews?Why did He heal non-jews?Why did He heal the daughter of the very woman he spoke those words you quoted to?I'll want you to answer.

The Rev.3:9 you quoted has no relevance.Christians are not jews.
true it was recorded in the Bible that Jesus healed the non-jew's daughter. But read how it happened
Matthew 15:22-27
"A woman from Canaan came crying to Jesus; have mercy on me o lord son of David, my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil..but Jesus answered her not a word, and his disciples came saying Send her away for she crys after us..he answered; I AM NOT SENT BUT UNTO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL...then she came and worshiped him saying; O Lord help me..He answered; IT IS NOT GOOD TO TAKE THE CHILDREN'S BREAD AND CAST IT DOGS, and she said Truth Lord yet dogs eat of the crumbs that fall from the master's table"

Now read and understand..how Jesus considers non-Jews dogs only befitting of crumbs that fall from the table of Jews

Why then do Africans go to such extremes to blindly follow a man that would only sees you as crumbs eating dogs.
The Jews whom are the masters reject him, yet you all accept him feeling lucky or what??
As Plaetton asked; do you consider yourself smarter and better than Jews for accepting Jesus while they reject him?
