At the emboldened:

Sir, you're very wrong. Olodumare has never been and is not part of the 401 deities,

Iba Olodumare

Iba irunmole eji'kotun

Iba Irunmole eji'kosi

Ooni is the 401st that never gets mentioned before a prayer, ifa & orisa chants.

No & No, Olodumare is not irunmole. He made them and we were made by Irunmole.

Don't confuse it.
Yes yes. .. I knew you would mention the Ooni as the 401st .

correct me if I'm wrong ...
In Ife there are 200 deities actively worshipped and Ooni makes it 201....there's less reference to the number "401"

but outside ife, Ooni is not so much seen as a deity and there's less reference to the number "201" rather we hear of 200 at the left, 200 at the right. ..and I've long realized that Olodumare makes the 401st.
in fact a proper translation for "Irunmole" would be "400 deities" so yes you can say Olodumare is not part of the irunmole but Olodumare is a higher deity of the same nature

It makes no sense arguing over a letter case.

However, it is all semantics but in your attempt at being pro-African, you're creating an antithetical structure in Iseese to that of foreign belief.

Olodumare [God]

Irunmole [deities/gods]

Olodumare is not Irunmole

God

Jesus [deity]

But in Christianity (apart from JW)

[Jesus is God & God is Jesus]

Difference: either GOD for Olodumare or God for Irunmole, they are not the same. Olodumare created the Irunmole. When writing in English, all uppercase in a sentence is invalid. Hence, Olodumare takes the uppercase G while irunmole takes the lowercase - using G for both not only creates confusion but 'de-reps' Olodumare.
What is the difference between the nature of the irunmole and Olodumare?
Olodumare is part of the 401 deities, only being higher than the other 400.. 200 at the right and 200 at the left

What the guy is trying to say is that we must not let others have the impression that Isese deities are less than what the Europeans brought to Africa. when we agree with them that we venerate gods while they have a trinity of Gods

When you said Eledumare, you used GOD.. Then you should be ok to use God for the Irunmoles.

Just as Jesus is being reffered to as God.
Now that's my point.

Eledumare is GOD.

Irunmoles, Orisa should always be regarded as capital letter G any time. Even though we don't have this type of discrimination in our oral language, Yoruba. This English is not ours and we need to correct these English poeple each time they make a derogatory remarks against our Gods.
I totally agree with this.

I also Don't use small g when referring to Pagan Deities.... it's totally disrespectful considering in english people never refer to Jesus as god

Those are not just titles, they are names of Obatala's children who actually lived and were put in charge of certain aspects of Obatala followership which the present title-holders handle.

Those titles are more; some are strictly for omo-ile while some can be given to non omo-ile. Incase you want to initiate Obatala, I may have a title for you grin, a number of your people from Ekiti do come to the compound and some hold titles.

Olufon founded Ifon.

Olufon has a compound in Ife where he was before moving to found Ifon.

Obalufon's house is called Ile Balea, they used to be the 3rd arm of Ile Olorisa; I am yet to find out what happened to them - maybe they have another temple elsewhere because I still saw Obalara (Obalufon Clan King) last week while I was in Ife.

I've attached a document snapshot below; I suppose the post was just a representative post sent from Obalufon compound to mine.
oh, I meant to say Olufon

it's well known that Obalara is of Obalufon and I know that the temple is at Igbo Obalara as mentioned during the Ooni's coronation but I never knew it as " Ile Balea".
I was surprised to see you claim Balea line of Olorisa is also descended from Obalufon. I thought you meant Olufon

that is probably it @bold

waoh in the snapshot, I see titles I've never heard of

You're welcome sir.

Some people claim Obalufon 1 & 2 were Oduduwa's sons which means Obamakin, Ogun were Obatala's people. I don't know if this is in that book.

Obalufons ogbogbodinrin (Obalufon alayemore's father) factually is part of Obatala's group. Obalufon shrine is around Igbo Itapa. Infact, in my compound we used to have Ilesun, Ilale & Balea (Balea is the line of Obalufon descendants). Their house is called Ile Balea.

But I wonder why some people tag him & his son with Oduduwa

Do you have this in the book? Besides I would love to get a copy of the book.

Hehe! Typical, you'd rather confuse yourself further than give credit where it's due that you just learnt something from 9crib. Thank God the post is still there. Go back and see where 9jacrib corrected you. You had said Adimu meant decongested nose and linked it to why oba of Benin always covered his nose in public, when the tonal marks on Adimula is totally different from the nose you were talking about, and that right there made it clear that Yoruba is NOT your mother's tongue.

Yoruba cannot unite with the two most hateful tribes, believe it today, there are tribes Yoruba will unite with politically if Nigeria is still one, those two are not among.

We don't need to like each, all we need is to be truthful, that's the only thing that takes people far..
oh please shut up! even though I learn every time from him, there's nothing in that post of 9jacrip I haven't heard before. ...

You call yourself Yoruba with some knowledge of Yoruba history yet you don't know that anywhere you see the word 'Adimu' is the abbreviation of Adimula, but you have quickly gone ahead and linked it up with Benin. I hope others can see what I've been saying all along that you are not Yoruba. You may love Yoruba people and the culture and understand the language but, your main purpose is to find loopholes in Yoruba history and plant Benin in there, with the sole aim of rubbing off on undue credits from the Yoruba.

What these show is that you have studied Yoruba just like any foreign almost-there historian but, if it isn't, it wasn't, it ain't never gonna be.

Okay, lets reason together. You see, it is not everything that's recorded in the bible, i.e, the day to day activities of bible's characters. This style of writing is not only common in the bible, but also in the literatures of the world. Why? Here, "Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were EVERY ONE of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written"- John 21:25. That's it! If the world itself cannot contain just Jesus ministry alone, how much more detailing every thing about creation?

Now, the point I'm trying to make is this. In Genesis 4:1, Cain is born. The very next verse, Abel is born too. The point: after Cain was born, definitely, a lot of time has passed before Abel was born! Also note that it is in verse 1 that Adam knew his wife, and it is still in that verse that she bare Cain. So at least you should know that nine months has passed since Adam knew his wife before she bare Cain!

Coming down to verse 14, certainly, a lot of years has passed before Cain slew his brother, judging from the fact that one was a farmer and the other, a shepherd. That means they were adults who could take responsibilities!

So, it is very much possible and likely that at this stage of their lives, their parents may have already produce other children in order to be "fruitful and multiply". I hope this helps?
this is nice. . but I want you to realize that Adam and eve tale is a myth. . they never really existed. .. that's how the Jews were able to explain existence.

lemme ask you, have you ever wondered about the story of origin told by your own ethnic nation?
