Blown up by who? The Gas does not need to go to Europe...it can be used in Nigeria, and can be used to power industries in Northern Nigeria...and other parts of Africa. Nigeria aint the one connected directly to Europe...other countries must complete their own portions too for that to happen. We have large deposits and I doubt the sea discovery can meet the needs of Europe. Be Positive
legitnow1: I GAURANTEE YOU THAT THE PIPELINE WILL BE BLOWN UP.
EUROPE DONT NEED NIGERIA GAS.
GUESS Y?
THEY ARE ALREADY BUILDING THEIR OWN PIPELINE IN THE SEA TO CONNECT A HUGE GAS DEPOSIT THEY FOUND IN THE SEA, FROM NORWAY TO UK.
Move to New Zealand and complete your PhD online...there are no job guarantees after your PhD...hold on to your job...we study more to earn more...and if we can find jobs to start earning, it would be foolish to turn it down. Yoruba song said...if one is looking for money and meet praise, one should return home...because we plan to use money to buy praise anyways. Job experiences will also help you when you finally get your PhD...JOB first.
Middleborn: I just got a job offer in New Zealand, I am to earn 30 New Zealand dollars per hour.
I have been pursuing a career in academics and I currently run a PhD program in a federal University. I am currently in the field gathering my data.
Should i move to New Zealand or should I turn down the job to complete my PhD? Or is there a way to continue and finish my PhD program via video conferencing since I just have to present my research work. Please help me. Tell me what may work in this situation.
AKK Gas Pipeline will put us at Number 1 forever...we will get that going in 2024...and by 2025 its a wrap.
4Play: Can't see this lasting simply because Nigeria has lower GDP per capita, lower levels of economic development and faster population growth which should mean we are more likely to experience "catch up" growth.
You cannot sell the car. The car belong to the Govt. If you don't want it, don't take it. If you finish your position and want to keep the car, you pay the Govt for the depreciating value of the car.
MasterJayJay: If I am LP lawmaker, I will collect the car and sell it. Use the proceeds to do some palliative in my constituency.
If you reject the car, they will dash it out to the sidechicks of the babablus.
You don't know if she did or did not. Clearly the two of them might have had issues or she just didn't feel he was competent. No one wants to do someone else's job. Would I have done the same? Probably not, but I cant even say that what she did was wrong. You are expected to report issues at work ...it protects you. UK Nursing Assistant Jobs are not Union Jobs...body no be wood, but you cant be getting paid and not working. You can ask for less hours. Multiple sleeping on duty...that is putting folks in danger...my man was probably working multiple jobs or too much hours.
Truths9ja: I totally disagree with your opinion here, your opinion didn’t reflect on what happened. See you can’t cheat the nature, body isn’t robot 🤖 ok. The lady in the first ought to have chat up with the guy and discuss the way forward and also discuss how he will overcome the stress and other things. Do you know if the guy do work in another’s place niii? You don’t know how many bills he do paid every month now. The lady in question shouldn’t have reports him to his supervisor. Not good at all. I strongly believe that the lady in question is over 25 years of age, I don’t expect immature attitudes in her life to the extent of not ironing the issues with the sacked man. What the lady display is immatured nature here.
This is NOT Nigeria...You work till you drop dead. I will play the devil's advocate...I don't blame the lady. How can we be getting paid the same amount, and I am working and you are busy sleeping. No be juju be that. I am sure she probably warned him many times, and he might have even shown attitude like ...what's your business? Is it your job? Cos we have this entitlement mentality...you want to do little for more...we cant blame the person that recorded him... you are in health care, and if someone dies while you are sleeping, she will be in trouble if records or CCTV show that she was aware and did not report him. Every man and woman to him or herself.
Truths9ja: UK-based Nigerian man reportedly lost his care job after his female compatriot reported him to their supervisor
Nigerians are risk takers...upon all the news, people still continue to take One-Chance. I guess some have nine lives. Now, N43k is gone...plus trauma of kidnapping and nightmares about possible death...over N600 ride. May God give us wisdom to discern. It is not worth it at all.
MaryAye: Good day everyone. I never knew these guys existed until yesterday. I wanted to attend Koinonia(A fellowship meeting at Chida Event Centre, Jabi) since I came to Abuja for a visit.
I boarded a cab from Arab Junction in Kubwa at about 2:15 p.m. Inside the cab, I saw three guys and a lady. Two guys plus the lady were sitting at the back and one guy sat at the driver's side. I completed the seat. The fare was 600 to Berger Junction.
Immediately we got to Charly Boy junction, close to Gwarinpa, the lady in the cab came down. My head was full. I felt something telling me to come down, but I didn't have much on me and I had thought it would not be wise to stop here.
I continued. Immediately we got to Seraco junction. They winded up. The guy at the front pushed his chair backward. And they started harassing me. They collected my bag, phone and pointed a metal Gun at my waist.
They threw something upward like a powder and they looked at me. Maybe they were thinking I will fall asleep. I don't know. They told me to place my head down on the chair and close my eyes. Immediately we got to Nicon Junction.
I could hear how they carried another lady who wanted to stop at Area 1. As the lady entered the cab it was not up to like 3 minutes. They wind up and they started beating her. I was so surprised they didn't touch me. They asked us to call any of our family members for 5 million now or they will use our part for rituals.
I don't have anyone to call. I started crying. The other lady said she had an uncle. The only money I have both in cash and in the bank was 46 thousand. In my head I was like. I am a dead human. I couldn't tell what happened. They brought a POS machine and they withdrew the 43 thousand from my bank.
When they got to Berger junction, miraculously they told me to dropped that both spiritual and money wise I was not relevant to them.
That was how I was dropped and I stood there as they zoomed off with the other lady. I had a panic attack. I couldn't fathom what happened. Everything they took from me.
Please, Nairalanders be careful in Abuja. I have not yet recovered from the attack.
In this current Naija...even If family ask you for this sort of assistance...you should say NO lest you become the enemy within the family...you will hear...how much are the stuff sef? My parents once helped your Mom? Why would you raise your voice at me? Deflecting and avoiding accountability...so best to learn to say NO especially when you knew you weren't around. Not the smartest choice you made
MrOjay1: I can't still believe this is happening. I am CCTV installation apprentice. Last month, my oga got a job in another state that will take a month to complete. He called me and told me to pack up a few of my things so I can go with him for the work.
I packed up and we both travelled. Few days later, a Friend called me and explained to me that he had some one who was in my area and was stranded. He was pleading if I could accommodate him in my one room apartment for 2 weeks so he can find his feet. I told my friend that I wasn't in town but I left my key with my neighbour.
I asked him if he knows this person that is stranded very well to be sure of his character. He said yes. I told him to give the guy my number. The guy called me and was begging. I asked for video call so I can see his face. We did video call, he looked responsible. He should be in his mid twenties so he is definitely older than me. I connected him with my neighbour with my key and he thanked me.
Fast forward to after two weeks, he left and handed over key to my neighbour. He sent me a text that he had left.
On Wednesday, I came back to meet my gas cooker and my pots gone. My bed sheet gone. He took my good curtains someone dashed me and left the curtain torn in many places for me. My wall hanger I nailed on the wall for hanging my clothes is gone and my standing fan spoilt beyond repair.
Hei God. This is a room I am managing. I called the guy. He wasn't picking my calls. Shortly after, he blocked my number. I called my friend and was mad at him. He promised to call the guy and retrieve the items but till today it is story upon story.
See how I brought problem upon myself.
Nairalanders please avoid bringing people in to your homes. I am seriously pained right now.
Natural Gas AKK Pipeline will commence operations Q3 of 2024.. aint worried about this debt...we can sell to Europe, make Euros and pay off our debts faster...besides crude oil production has gone up to 1.7 million Barrels per day...and Dangote/PortHarcourt Refinery both go live this year...just keep praying for Naija.
Learn the laws of any country you want to go to. If in doubt, move with the locals...Ignorance is not an excuse. Ronaldo's handlers should be blamed for this mess. He will probably be pardoned.
and how does that form the standard of literacy...did you test him? Please let's leave folks alone...jealousy comes from a bitter heart and unfulfilled life.

coming from a non Churchians...Thank You. I am glad you are not confused...please stay that way forever
Kobojunkie: You mean God would rather you lie in His name in order to supposedly edify Him? You Churchians are some of the most confused animals on this planet.
If you are still quoting Solomon after the death and resurrection of Christ...then I will leave you to your thoughts. Like I always post..."Those who know their God"...you can find the conclusion to it.
twosquare: Maybe you should tell that to Solomon...
Ecclesiates 4:2-4.
I envy those who are dead and gone; they are better off than those who are still alive. 3 But better off than either are those who have never been born, who have never seen the injustice that goes on in this world.
And of course, verse 4 supported some of your postulations...
4 I have also learned why people work so hard to succeed: it is because they envy the things their neighbors have. But it is useless. It is like chasing the wind.
Your username is GodWrites and your words do not edify. Then again it is not all who calls the name of the Lord truly knows him. Mercy and Grace I pray for you...God bless
GodWrites: I am independent. I am not living with anyone. Finish school against all odds? I believe coconut water full your brain.
Lol now Atiku is arguing against middle names....a typical Yoruba person has over 20 names. As long as Tinubu can get a court certified document to show that Tinubu Bola Ahmed is the same person as Tinubu Bola Adekunle...it is a rap. Even in the USA, you can be called Mickey Mouse if the name Mickey Mouse is not trademarked.
Well since you are the epitome of poverty, and you think the way you think...then leave your family and go and sort your life. Clearly no one can speak to you. Your situation is not the worst and it wont be the worst. Look for another family if yours aint enough...but if you are ready to listen to others...we will advice you to finish your school against all odds...be the best you can be even in public schools and you will find favour with God and men like some of us did.
GodWrites: You are myopic. If your parents could afford to feed you at least once a day, including sending you to school, then you were never poor. There are many kids today who don't even have access to one square meal, talk of going to school. They were abandoned to fend for themselves from an early age. They end up being beggars or thieves. I repeat, you know nothing about poverty because you are from a middle class family. I'm not saying you didn't face challenges, but there are levels.
You don't think I know...I am probably from a middle class family....again, you have no clue but I can't blame you. I do not expect you to listen. I have said my piece. If you know my life...you wont even believe I could make it to where I am...sebi you are still with your family...try living with other family members from a young age...you will even prefer your family's poverty. May God bless you...if you cannot see the light.
GodWrites: I don't think you know what poverty means. You are probably from a middle class family who sees himself as poor. Poverty is when your parents cannot even afford to feed you one square meals a day. You end up begging or stealing just so you don't die of starvation. When you are in such situation, there's nothing to be grateful for. Even the dead will be better off than you.
Dirty? Illiterate? He is more educated than most people in your family ...go and read up on his Education, and Dirty...really...have you met him in person? Its funny how we come on social media and judge people that we don't know.
preekahantas: A dirty illiterate thug is in charge of the most educated & sophisticated region.
How can the husband pay? Who will collect the money...the server. He should not be greedy and be demanding for this and that...the business must survive, and he can support the business in many ways...but not by paying for the food in front of everyone...what madness is that?
englishmart: If a wife owns a restaurant, is her husband supposed to pay after eating?
You know what is crazy...I never wish to be from another family not to talk of rich people's family. The fact that you think that means you are ungrateful that you are alive, healthy and mentally sound. It is when you see life as half empty that you think that way when you should also look at life as half full. Some were aborted, some were born with illness, some got paralyzed, some have been killed and lots are in positions that cant be changed. You have a life that can be filled of hope, purpose and can be the beginning of a change in your family...and all you see is the meal others have finished cooking...that is greed. Face your life, give thanks, and watch yourself become the changemaker and olu-omo (blessed child)...which is all you need.
Chingyyy878: I’m sure most of us here can relate, you’ll be considering if you should run away and you will be asking God why you didn’t come from Otedola’s family.
When you see your friends with rich parents and you will be like God why me 😢.
If this is true, then they should post the jobs so others can apply for it. Case closed...but they wont because they might still be collecting salaries and sharing....or those in the school might be covering those classes and collecting double pay. Let those that want to japa ...japa...then post the jobs for others to get employed. Case CLOSED

Arrest the Parents too....if you cant raise your children, raise an alarm. This is definitely a case of NEGLECT. You start holding families responsible...you will start seeing absentee parents rethink their lives.

NRC is not under Lagos State Govt so equating it with Blue Rail is misleading at the least and falsehood at the most...Liar Liar, Pants on Fire. Be informed...and be open to correction.
Dubai Palm Project started like that...go and check the offerings last month. My agent sent it to me and I can't believe people have this kind of money in their thousands....rich people love exclusive exclusive and the largest US embassy in the World will be right there at Eko Atlantic so you continue to think it's an elephant or dinosaur project...most people felt the same about Lagos rail too...and Lekki pennisula
Varunpulyani: For those who don't understand the meaning of white elephant.
It just simply means bojo boju. The more you look the less you see .
Of course they are beautiful oh so precious, but the purpose of building it is useless because it will eventually end up in ruins .
First on the list we start with bobo Chicago Dubai.
When you ask the Ronu nomenclatures what did Bola do in Lagos them go dey do erhmm ermmm.
OGA what did he do ? Erhmmmm but he build Eco Atlantic.
Now Eco Atlantic is a white elephant project.
To even start with it's not for the common man , middle class or what you classify as rich .
Only super rich.
To make you understand a rent in eco Atlantic for one of the semi building partially completed is more than 3 million for 1 bedroom flat.
Uncompleted building o.
Lagos - Perennially uncompleted, environmentally unsustainable, hilariously expensive, private-sector-led-but-distinctly-Ajaokuta-esque, Tesco-value Dubai off the coast of Victoria Island.
