Even as my spending plan was put in percentage, some people stil can't reason out my point. I said I can spend 50% and above on what I need, like a house, a good car, good investment, a healthy family, and a better society. I can only spend 10% of my cash assest(money in hand, and in the bank) on what I want. Now do the logic and the maths. I said I have less than 2m in cash asset. What's 10% of 2m? 200k. Meaning I can't buy the S-7 since it's 235,000. Even if the phone sells for 200,000, and I got it, it wld later haunt me to see my loved ones struggle to meet up with their needs, and I'm there flaunting a 200,000 phone for fancy. That's the more reason why it's going to be hard for me to spend 200,000 on a phone, with what I have presently as cash asset. I posted a personal spending plan, and I never said every1 shld take to my personal plan. Was that too hard to comprehend?! |
donhils:Jimmy, you seem to miss the point. That was a personal spending plan. |
donhils:Young man, you don't have to always read and respond to every post on NL. |
donhils:Young man, you don't have to always read and respond to every post on NL, especially when you can't understand the post. |
Fulaman198:Coalition of 3 male lions is common. Coalition of 4 is rare. 8 is impossible. You can't find a pride made of 5, 6, 7, 8 male pride lions. Also, they don't have to necessarily be brothers, though most coalitions are brothers. Some are coalitions of 'sebador' males from neighbouring prides who were ousted after take over, or by their pride fathers who cldn't tolerate them anymore. You're right about the 5-10 lionesses making up a pride. These lionesses may bear 2 to 3 cubs, having a total of at most 20 cubs. And yes, I've seen a pride with over 30 lions(adult lionesses, adolescent male and female lions, and cubs), with no pride male lion(s). |
jmichlins:I missed out 'different level of understanding'. You didn't get my point I guess. Let's forget about it. Have a nice day ahead. |
jmichlins:In a nutshell, we all have different perceptions, wants, choices, and economical policies. I was just saying I can't spend N235,000 on something I want. I can only spend it on something I need. And I don't see that phone as something I need. I may want it, but I can't spend N235,000 on a want. I can spend 50% above of my cash asset on what I need. I cannot spend more than 10% of my cash asset on a want. My cash asset is below N2m, so buying a N235,000 phone wld be breaking my financial policy. Why wld I spend N235,000 on a want, when those I love, or those that love me, have standing needs. All the same, if you have the money, buy what you want. |
Wait I didn't get you well, to help do what? |
As rich as Otedola is, I doubt he'd buy the phone. If that phone can take me to heaven, I'll buy 10 for me and my family. A whooping N235,000 for a phone? C'mon, I rather pay someone's school fee with it. All the same, patience is a virtue. In 5yrs to come, this same phone will sell for N50,000. So I think I'm going to wait for it to get cold. ============================== Modified -----------------------------------------------------
I don't know what to say! So just take a kiss :* And a hug () Leave those myopic people who don't understand your reasoning, not all who can read can reason or understand, another kiss for you :*
Smiling.... It's all about percentage. I was speaking personally, but the jimmies misunderstood me. I meant I can't spend more than 10% on a want. 10% of what I have is what I allot to my wants, 50% to my needs. If my cash asset is 2m, 10% is 200,000, so yea, I may spend 200,000 on my wants. But just before I buy what i want, I try to find out if my loved ones have needs to meet up with up. If they do, I'll choose to make a sacrifice just to meet their needs. My needs come equal to my loved ones' needs. My loved ones' needs come before my wants. While my wants come before my loved ones' wants. To the jimmies, I never dissed the OP for buying a N235,000 phone. I just aired my personal take and plan. If I have 10m, and I need the phone, I'll buy two of it. But it just happened that I don't need it, but I want it. So I can wait for it to blow cold before getting it, way cheaper than when it's hot. Is anything wrong in that? |
..... How many fowls have you paid to save their lives from ending up in pots of soup? |
Greenback:How does her decision affect you? Does it warrant you calling her 'crazy and senseless'? Have you proved her wrong with your response? Cos you seem to prove her, or prove me right with your response, that's if you claim to be a christian. Well, in the ears of a bonobo, the words of a human is gibberish. |
Weah96:That you owe me two crates of shine shine bobo |
Weah96:Tell that to Enoch and Elijah |
femdevcon:I understand |
The truth is, 99% of people practising christianity are deceiving themselves. So many experiences have made me realise there are virtually no true christians. There's a neighbour who prays at least 5hrs in the morning, 4am to 9am, every damn day, as in, he prays everyday for 5hrs nonstop, and seems to hail and boast about Bishop Oyedepo, how he's so power to take any man's life if the man errs. At first I was amazed the man, in his 60s, can pray that long consistently, but after 1yr of nonstop prayers, I realised the man was mildly running mad. The day I got the shocker was a day he had a misunderstanding with his wife, he beat her up blue black, and threatened to kill her. He had a misunderstanding with a neighbour, and he started his Bishop Oyedepo boasting, that he'll kill the neighbour in 7days. I'm telling you, true christianity is your act, and not in your tongue. It's not by what you pray, how you pray, when you pray, how well you attend church, and so all. Your act, your intelligence, you sense of understanding, and your discern justify you as a true christian. Africa is the most religious continent. We pray, praise, and worship the most High. We're said to be the light of the world, yet Africa is the darkest continent on earth. Think about it. |
U can't get enuf electricity from a lemon as u wld from an electric eel, or catfish. There's an electric eel that emits charges high enough to kill a young child, and stun an adult. The electricity from the eel can power a 40watt bulb. |
anwe:Are there no Americans living and working in Nigeria? S.A? And other countries? Does it mean America isn't well managed? Trump is just leveraging on the islamophobia, and the xenophobia, most white americans have, as his campaign strategy in becoming the United States president. Where is TB Joshua when you would need him to prophesize against Trump winning?! Where are the so called mountain movers, miracle makers, David Oyedepo, chris oyakhilome? |
Ibroboss:If that's how karma works, then politicians who steal public fund, pension fund, shouldn't earn money again. But that's not the case, cos they seem to steal more and more and more. Her act is a very cruel one, no doubt. But then, a liar, a cheat, or a covet, will end up in the same damnation as she wld. |
irunooboo:How old are you? What do you have up there in your head, a brain or a seed? |
The racist has instilled fear in the minds of people seeking greener pastures in the US. He's the hitler of our time. Well, no wahala, he should be ready to send back the Nigerian who's in charge of building drones for the US military. |
I migrated from betatalk plan to the ipulse plan, and I was automatically charged N50 for MTNplay learn english. I called the customer care several times to help me cancel the service, they told me they've cancelled the service, whereas they didn't. Every week, MTN deducts N25 from my airtime for the 'learn english service, and N50 monthly plan for MTNplay subscription. They've fleeced me more than N1,500 ever since I migrated. The painful experience was when an unknown number kept flashing me, and I was where I cldnt get recharge card, I had to borrow from MTN, as soon as I was credited the N50 airtime I was eligible to borrow, they sent me a msg that my MTNplay learn english service has been renewed and N50 deducted from the damn money I borrowed. I felt like "qilling" the owner of that call network. |
They've won the league already, we just haven't seen it yet. Nothing can stop them. They are too fast for other EPL teams. Congrat in advance!! |

omron:Now I see the reason why she broke up with you. She feared for her life So you drink and drive? Don't let FRSC read this |
omron:What you should look out for is someone you can later love like your ex, or someone who's good-material enough for you to forge and love, even better than your ex. I once had your kind of experience. The ex before my immediate ex, I loved her so much, did crazy things for her, fought thugs who wanted to attack her sister because she insulted one of the thugs for making pass at her while we were on our way home, I bled that night, bt was able to hold them back. And at the end, she broke up with me becos she thought I had a thing for her troublesome older sister, the reason why I risked my life for her. It was a painful period for me after the break up because I tot I cldnt live without her. But then, I met my immediate ex. She was heaven on earth for me. I loved her so much. Before I met and loved her, I usually sleep 6hrs at night. But after I fell for her, I spent 1hr sleeping, 5hrs thinking about her in bed. My point is, relationship/love is progressive. From black-white TV, to color TV, to LED/LCD TV, next to holographic TV. Now that's how love is. Don't get it twisted, love is a beautiful thing. A carton of energy drink can't give me the kind of strength I gain when I'm deeply in love. My advice for you....... Be strong enough to move on. Forget abt your color TV and move on to LED. Find a nice lady and have a great time with her. Love will grow. |
I will never marry the wrong person ![]() Its a prayer
Who is the prayer directed to, God? Or the devil? Your signature clearly holds the answer. Funny how a wrong person prays to have the right person. Well, two wrong persons are right for each other. |
prettysassygirl:And none dies from D n C? How old are u? U advised her to walk into a hospital for an illegal procedure? |
PhockPhockMan:It means you can't last a week in prison then. So make sure you don't embezzle at work, misappropriate, launder, or commit other offenses, lest you don't end up where your little gadget won't rescue you. |
Once you're asked to pay money, even as little as 1naira for training or registration fee, just know it's bogus, scam, con. The sorry state of our economy has made it difficult for real employers to employ, and offer high remuneration. In a nutshell, there are fewer vacancies and many job seekers. Job seekers shld create their own jobs, and stop hoping endlessly on a dream job with good pay. |
Incredulous! That wasn't written by a certified teacher. That was likely written by one of the Alkali's children. |
It's advisable to always ask and negotiate the fare of a commercial ride or drive before boarding, so as to avoid unnecessary heated argument. Sane set of people should learn to associate cautiously with insane set of people. |
Those two kids who commented first and second on FP, are you kids ok? What's with you kids playing child's play on threads with sympathetic news? Something should be done to curb this errant kids from turning this forum to a creche. |
