Here's the explanation you seek.

....For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.....

Christianity Etc › Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by mazaje(m):
I really dont understand this offering unto god thingy. . .Why do people give unto God? People claim that their God owns everything and needs nothing yet they keep giving and offering unto their god. . .Some claim you rob god by not giving. All this injunction to give unto god sounds like the words of the needy rather than of the laudable self-sufficient one, no? God we are told needs no material things yet people are instructed to give unto him, how does that make sense? Many claim that they give because the want to show appreciation, even that doesn't make sense either. My step dad is very rich, once he helped me in sealing a deal that fetched me so much money, I bought him a car just to show appreciation on his birthday but to my surprise he told my mum that I shouldn't have bought him the car since he already has many cars and doesn't need it. He didn't reject it but still wasn't impressed. he felt i just wasted my money.

Will you give Bill Gates 1 million dollars to show appreciation if he makes you successful or gives you something that you need?. . .If you give him he will not accept it because it makes no sense to him and he doesn't need it, why then do people give money to their god who they claim owns every thing and needs nothing?. . .I know people that drop their first salaries in the church all in the name of giving to god and showing appreciation. . .Why give to a god that allegedly already own all?. . .Religions like christuanity is mainly for the greedy, it continues to show how greedy people are. . .People give only because they are promised a double fold else people will not give, all those giving believe it is their tithe that makes them rich but the reality is that the richest and most successful people on earth do NOT pay any tithe and offer nothing to any god. . .The first five richest people on earth are all agnostics and atheist and they do not pay tithe and offering to any god because they do not believe in any. . .

okeyxyz: The law of gravity imitates god's principle of dominion. The more spiritual will you exercise, the more spiritual mass you gather and circumstances naturally gravitate towards you, they will test you and eventually work in your favour. He who has more spiritual will(faith) will dorminate & rule over others of lesser will(faith), like the planets are ruled by the sun.

So, god has given man the strongest will\intelligence(spirit) of all his creation, that's why he's inventive to control and rule nature.

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."(Genesis 1:26)
So this is your answer to interplanetary gravitational pull?. . . .Really?

Bello ladan: It is unjust and unfair to the removal officers because in a situation like this an investigation must strictely carried out first and anybody found guilty should be remove, whether he is a muslim or xtian but, if you carefully observed what happen now we may reffered it as a religious sentiment my question here is that, dose the removing of those two army offecers would solve the problems of BH meanance? if not. why would they should be remove? and i am 100% sure that, if those were xtiane they would not be removed all these're already in the CAN strategic plan of action from 2011-2019 which was captured and control top gov't ministries and parastatols such as; petroleum, defence, finance, internal affairs and NNPC,CBN,NPA,PHCN e.t.c and therefore, their is in progresss no wonder what ever happen its already a set-off to elluminate northern because they want acualised their Biafaran dream!! NB nothing like reale BH now they only use this oppoturnity to distroyed northern why? all this bamblast only alwas in north places like Borno,Kano,Kaduna,Adamawa,Yobe,Jos,Sokoto,Gombe,Bauchi and Abuja pls. for the sake of peace in this nation stop bombing the north in the name of boko haram because this is beyound BH mayhem
This is useless talk, hope you know that the person that redrafted the military officers was also a northern muslim. . . .

tiarabubu: Hey, the primary reason for the opposition to the IG was that he was indicted in a Commission of Inquiry on the Jos crisis and not because he is a Muslim. The Mogadishu bombing was outside the barracks for your info. How many Muslims have replaced non-Muslims and no one batted an eye.

The same JNI was to raise dust when Gen Danbazzau was replaced! As if others that were retired were not humans too.

JNI is playing a dangerous game here dragging the military into religious differences. Its a shame. i would have thought their hands are full educating their gullible Muslim brothers against joining the ranks of Boko Haram. Islam › Re: Do Nigerian Muslims Really Believe That They Are Descendants Of Adam? by mazaje(m): 8:37pm On Nov 27, 2012
tbaba1234: Hi, long time

Science is based on degrees of certainty, I have a much higher degree of certainty in the Quran based on my studies of it. So while i have respect for science, i put it in its place.

As regards, what the Quran has done for humanity, It might interest you to know that a large number of muslim scientists in the middle ages (Islamic golden age) were directly influenced by the Quran. Many of them were also religious scholars. I can give you many instances in Islamic history where Quranic principles like the Zakat improved the lives of the citizens. I do not want to prolong the discussion.

Finally, i address many of my points from a logical perspective but i also realise that as humans, we are not purely logical. We make many decisions based on other factors not just pure logic.

The problem with the atheists is that you want everything to be logical but we see that there are so many things, even scientific precepts based on non falsifiable assumption. so not everything is verifiable.

And even when everything is presented in a logical manner to you, you stray into another valley looking for another logical explanation.. You go straying into every valley there is.

There is nothing anyone can do to convince you particularly when you have tied your knot and decided on atheism
Long time man, nice to hear from you. . . hope you are good?. . .

I get what you are saying. . .What I was saying is simple. . .Religious assertions are mostly unverifiable compared to that of science(of course scientist also make unverifiable assumptions and assertions). . .But when claims that are verifiable like the one you are making here are looked at, the scientific position is the one that has evidence to back it up. Even Christian scientist that have looked into it have now changed their position on the genesis account. Most now claim that the Adam and Eve narrative is an allegory, am talking about christians in very high places like the late pope Johen Paul and other christians of all denominations that have looked at the evidence science has provided, we now have evolution-theist as a result of the scientific findings that have been shown . . .

But then to each his own. . .My point is religions have made so many assertions and when looked at the evidence just does not support the narrative they have put forth. . .

Back to lesson 1:

i. Languages are influenced by each other and even a dead language has influences on living languages.

1. I never said, the ancient language was a semitic language, i said the ancient language might havte links to the semitic language, an ancestor if you like to words in semitic langugauge.

2. The Second option is that adam is just the translation in hebrew and it was from revelation

You have thus far failed woefully to disprove any because you simply can't.

a.) Inbreeding was permitted for the first few generations but is no longer permissible.

b.) Yes, in this time and age... You can not prove to me that the inbreeding between the sons and daugthers of adam, those genetic conditions existed. As a believer in the creative power of God, We know that God creates all diseases and if he permitted inbreeding than it must have been safe.

c.) Based on a non falsifiable assumption, The Quran to the muslim is far more reliable...

NEXT!!!
This is the problem with religion, it never gives you concrete and satisfying answers that are verifiable, it ALWAYS leaves you with maybe. . .Here is the problem, with the advent of DNA it is possible to trace and know if all of humanity came from one single man and woman. The scientific evidence through DNA shows that we did not come from one man and one woman. . .It is scientifically impossible. . .Then comes the assertion that the koran is more reliable than science. . .Pls can you name one problem facing humanity the koran has helped solved?. . .Any "reliable" solution from the koran to many of the disease facing mankind for example?. . .The koran says the first man is Adam where is the verifiable evidence for that?. . .Now tbaba will run and hug the faith cake while insisting that his faith based belief has everything to do with reality. . .

16:8 He is to cast lots for the two goats--one lot for the LORD and the other for the scapegoat

English Standard Version.
And Aaron shall cast lots over the two goats, one lot for the LORD and the other lot for Azazel.

New Living Translation.
He is to cast sacred lots to determine which goat will be reserved as an offering to the LORD and which will carry the sins of the people to the wilderness of Azazel.

Young's Literal Translation
'And Aaron hath given lots over the two goats, one lot for Jehovah, and one lot for a goat of departure;

Douay-Rheims Bible
And casting lots upon them both, one to be offered to the Lord, and the other to be the emissary goat:

One sentence , five different meanings.

Mistranslation, mistransliteration or just deliberate obfuscation?

So much for the the inerrant words of an omni omni god.

Word of god that men wrote down, chose and assembled together through votes and are always reinterpreting and reinventing. . .We are told that the same god can write yet he keeps allowing men to be messing up his word. . .Interesting. . .
Good, but then what you are not paying attention to a lot of contextual issues here. We could delve into that and explain old testament law in depth but then we'll be moving on a far tangent (we can tackle that another day if you like).
For example, in the old testament, God allows divorce but divorce is evil as far as God is concerned. When Jesus is asked about this, He says; "For your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so."
And slavery was good because?. . . .By the way divorce is NOT a bad thing in many parts of the world today(this goes back to my definition of morality as having everything to do with point in history). . .It is actually healthy and a good thing in marriages that are life threatning. . .Why was your good good champoining slavery which christians today consider to be a bad thing since his nature is all good as you claim?. . .

Vedaxcool thinks he can abrogate islamic bigotry against the Jews and Christians in the Ottoman empire by putting few isntances of peaceful relations in the ottoman empire.

Sorry, this isnt the Quran where violent verses are abrogated with peaceful verses. Real life is different.

Here is the islamic bigotry in the Ottoman empire

In the Ottoman Empire, in accordance with the Muslim dhimmi system, Christians were guaranteed limited freedoms (such as the right to worship), but were treated as second-class citizens. Christians and Jews were not considered equals to Muslims: testimony against Muslims by Christians and Jews was inadmissible in courts of law. They were forbidden to carry weapons or ride atop horses, their houses could not overlook those of Muslims, and their religious practices would have to defer to those of Muslims, in addition to various other legal limitations

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Empire#Christianity_and_Judaism
The bottom line is during the ottaman empire muslims were not considered to be equal as non muslims and their rights were limited in many ways. . .
