Harpheez50: Thanks how I wish I knew this before now I would have instructed the supplier to split it into two where I can pay first half today and second half tomorrow being new month. . Not too late. You can always borrow card from a very trusted friend or sibling. The trust has to be 500% to get someone to handover their card details |

Harpheez50: Hello. I’m about to order some products on Alibaba. I don’t know if I can pay $574 using my gtbank card. I’ve been using it for less than $50 payments. It's either you get a dollar card or talk to seller about your issue; that your bank has a maximum amount allowed. Suggest he split the payment. Judging from the last time I had this issue you may just be in luck. If seller agrees, pay with two GTB card |

coldcandy: Hello men of good will. I am planning my house and intend to use solar panels on the roof. Now I have some grey areas to resolve. 1. Do i need a special roofing reinforcement to accommodate the solar panels? 2. Should I have two distribution circuits- one for the solar, another for phcn? This means i will have designated sockets/lighting points for solar and phcn all over the house.
Pls advise. 1: Just make sure the roof no too slope. The best angle is an almost flat surface (for Naija) for overall better performance throughout the year. But if it's a high pitched roofs of up to and over 48 degrees, you should consider a professional roof mount with a tilt leg to put the panel at this almost horizontal angle for optimum yield. 2. Incorporating a renewable energy only DB is an awesome adventure to embark on. This truly makes the addition of an inverter almost seamless. Also you'll never run into a condition that your inverter is forced to power an equipment you don't want to run on it. This is why banks and other firms have a dedicated "UPS DB" to cater for loads such as PC, printers, etc that needs to be always on in the event of a power changeover or failure. So I'll recommend you go for it.

You'll get it. I just picked my 2nd May order today, that is 58 days after order or 55 days as it was shipped on 5th May. It was via AE standard shipping using Singapore Post (SG) Problem is goods are arriving Nigeria. Problem is now local distribution. Heard they are heavily owing one of the big logistics helping NIPOST with this local distribution and the firm stopped. Now NIPOST is barely managing to distribute mails. So everyone will just have to be more patient. Saw a dude pick up a January mail today. |

essegis: The tower of power (coined from David Poz) is beginning to take shape.
Presently we have fully tested the 38120 cells and Nissan Leaf batteries, both without BMS for now. The 38120 were disappointing to say the least. Suspecting there might be some weak cells among them but no proper equipment to carry out the required tests yet.
The Nissan Leaf did okay for a short test but had to put it off as no way to charge it yet. The Victron charger is not yet configured for Lithium ion batteries. Seeing solar depot have the Mk3-usb connect for the configuration but the pepper is not here oo. Abeg if anybody get one wey I fit borrow just configure the charger I will return back immediately.

ojeysky: MPP GK back online with a few redress, 3 things I noticed straight up.
1. MPPT efficiency is way better than the felicity I was using temporarily. Now it's just less than 2A difference between charge current reading from MPP and BMV as against 5A on felicity.
2. MPP also seem to support more battery option on 3kva GK such as the pylontech.
3. Fan noise is way more silent, it feels like there is an improvement with the new board Congratulations. |

korban3134: Good day all
Please I'm a Newbie in this inverter thing...i need help with one or two issues I'm facing.
I had an inverter and 200ah battery installed in my apartment about 5months ago. Initially performance was 7hrs now it barely lasts upto 2hrs. I want to continue with this alternative power thing as I've had my fill of using generators but this is discouraging.
1. Please I need a battery/inverter "Load Chart Guide"
2. Any solutions,/ recommendations on a better quality battery are very welcome I have some questions to make troubleshooting easier. 1) Did you buy the battery new? 2) What is the total load (total device power) connected to the inverter? 3) Do you have any idea the maximum charging current and voltage of the inverter? Do you know the cut off voltage of this inverter? That is the lowest voltage that it cuts off the battery? 4) Do you usually run the inverter with NEPA or generator? If generator, do you have any idea the frequency produced by this generator? If NEPA, do you experience low voltage a lot in your 'hood? |

Ceaser01: Former link
latter link The first one has the features that I want. The latter is too complex for the application I want when compared to the former. I can only hope it can survive an air-conditioner constantly plugged in. Chinese and their fake specification are like 5&6. I see the 15A rating, but can it really survive that current is another story. This one you are using the alternate, have the bot bandit struck again? Thank you very much for this, I'm definitely checking out the first one. |

earthrealm: At higher volts..smaller current flows tru the cable...and vice versa....so sending at higher volts enables you use thinner wire..
Same principle why nepa transmits at high tension/voltage, we have 33,000volts, and higher for the national grid.this way immense amount of power is transmitted at negligible losses at extremely high voltages, which is now gradually stepped down at or close to consumption areas. Those giant pylons carry 132,000volts if not higher
Morning star 60amps pwm cc cost 198 dollars, same morning star 60amps mppt cost 600usd. The Pwm operates at about 60v max. The Mppt operates at 150v max. The extra 400usd in cost is basically cos of this flexibilty in max input viltage
For solar calculations, using 3% loss and lower is a preffered optimal design factor than 5% A+ |

On contactor wiring https://youtu.be/_pzBBRjaw0M
On contactor purchasing https://a.aliexpress.com/_BPGTy0 This contactor can easily be sourced locally. All you need is to know where to look. The dealers that sell MCB breakers, high voltage and LV parts often stock contactors. Or you can walk into any electrical shop and ask where you can get one, most electrical part dealers often know a dealer who sells such. You may have the issue of finding the type you desired, is it two NC and two NO? Most of the time you'll see only one NC with up to four NO. Anyways anyone looking for contactor should try the local vendor before going the AE way especially nowadays that it takes forever to get things shipped from AE. |

jboixxx: And it's actually possible? I've done it in Alibaba, seller obliged and split order to make it happen. Dunno about AliExpress, but since Chinese will do just about anything to make that sale, I won't be surprised if the seller agrees to this. All I did was explain to seller my bank has max limit per purchase, and asked him to split the order into two. |

Barezzi: Penuelseun, Two independent Relays switching power to a load is very dangerous! The likelihood of both latching the same time is very high. Relays fail all the time, i work where this happens regularly...
To mitigate, consider using mechanically interlocked contactors. It's physically impossible for both to energise at the same time. This is gold! |

essegis: Yeah, I don't have those Will Prowse white centered resistors but the pack I have has different ratings from 0.1ohms to I think 1000ohms sef. E plenty. But na normal small body resistors so I don't know if they will work or the exact rating needed for the discharge. Is top balancing not working? You can always buy this capacity tester that can act as load. |
