Thanks but never mind. I looked up your posts and didn't find anything on doors, other than the occasional posts but still no pictures. At best, it would seem that's a side gig or maybe not your core biz. I may be wrong tho. I will need something more focused as it is wooden doors we need. Already speaking to some of the people that displayed their work here. babeline: |

People should take personal responsibility to do due diligence on a potential vendor and protect themselves from the risk of default. All this talk of creating a list "of verified" contractors is still you relying on someone else to do the vetting for you. Take personal responsibility! NL is a good place to source and initiate the convo, but once the transaction eventually moves offline (as expected) then you should treat every transaction like you would with any other vendor you meet on the street. IMO, some of the factors that contribute to these cases are: 1/ Anonymity: Some clients want to stay fully anonymous and still do transactions. This sets you up to be taken advantage of by shady contractors. 2/ Seems people are getting carried away when they hear others (especially diaspora folks) saying they did transactions worth XYZ millions with ABC remotely without meeting them in person. While this is a great attestation to the parties involved, it should not be seen as a badge of honor that you also want to cop. If you can; meet the person, know their office/shop/biz location, check them up at other work locations, meet their workers, send your rep if you have to or you are not available or you want to be anon. It is your money, don't do follow follow. P.S: I have done multiple transactions anonymously with NL service providers but always ensured adequate risk mitigation at all times. All satisfactory services received, if any issues does arise (hopefully not) I won't be relying on NL intervention alone cos I will already have all i need offline. 6 Likes |

By automatic, are you asking if it's sensor operated and does not require any manual push to flush? If that's your question, then its a NO. The picture shown is a concealed, wall hung WC. The cistern and all pipings are conduit, so you will only see the bowl/seat and that little circular part you press to flush when installation and finish is completed. ak22: |

Oh nice! Yes, I am aware they were working there last week and have now finished. She invited me over to have a look but somehow that didn't work out, our place is just around you there so i may still stop by. One of reasons I am (or was) considering the chemical option is that it is a total package that caters for all all areas in the building that is prone to water seepage - roof slab/gutter, parapet walls, bathroom, terrace, balconies To the best of my knowledge, i have not seen felt applicable to the bathroom or other tight spots prone to wetness inside the build. I may be wrong tho. @Abolarin91 @jabolo @saydfact Thank you all for insights and contribution. If/when you use felt for the roof, how do you protect other internal wet areas like the bathroom? or it's a non-issue for you. darenyx: |

Bituminous Felt membrane VS Chemical Admixtures .... Which is more effective in the long run for waterproofing a roof slab with parapet walls which also serves as water tank deck and outdoor terrace space? I had almost decided to go with the conventional bituminous felt solution until i recently stumbled on some projects where the chemical solution was used. The company (3sisters) claims their chemical admixtures option doesn't require maintenance unlike the felt that you have to redo every now and then. 1) Which of the two options is more effective and recommended and why? Assuming cost is not an issue, we just want the best solution. 2) Do have experience using the 3sisters company products? If not, can you recommend an alternative chemical admixture product. Do you know if this is a temporary issue? Is this a raw material (explosive) supply chain issue? What are the chances of prices normalizing if/when the issue is resolved? or should we be really worried and buy ahead for even future projects (like 3 months time)? Chekitaut: |

Thanks...but durability can't depend on workmanship, rather that'll depend on the material. How much the material can withstand the test of time. I found a China factory that makes it but the prices are not too far off from Aluminium, so will just stick to traditional Aluminum frames then. saydfact: 1 Like |

Guys, I came across a sliding window made with PVC frames instead of the regular aluminium and was told it has been making inroads for a while now as a substitute to the high-end Tower or Thick imported profiles. Does anyone have experience using casement or sliding windows made with PVC? Kindly share. Thanks 2 Likes

Hello all, If I am selling a property in the region of 40-45m, what % is practical and reasonable to pay as agency fees and also legal fees? I know most times they request 5% or 10% each but people end up paying them much less depending on property value, so as a SELLER what % should i bargain for? What is the realistic, reasonable and practical percentage to pay each of those professionals? What's obtainable out there? Thanks |

I'll like to hear form you and others that think a VT is an overkill for mini-flat ... where then do you suggest to place the only bathroom in the house? a) en-suite and inside the bedroom such that a visitor have to come into the bedroom to use or b) outside such that it is directly accessible from the living room thanks Dennis3D: |
