Sorry about that OP,
One of the disadvantages or even advantage of living abroad is that you must love your partner. Both of you MUST be close, because you get to spend a lot of time together unlike Nigeria where there are loads of things to do.
Do not be too hard on yourself. Arguments do happen and if couple love themselves, they will make up. Just keep calling him and tell him you miss him, that he is the king of your life, your home etc.
Tell him you wont ever shout back at him again. He will come home. If he still decides not to come after this ehn, then the problem is not you.
NB: When he returns, make sure you give him a hot session. Thank me later. |

I understand your frustrations. You need to include a Letter of Explanation stating that you do not have any intention to leave Nigeria. inform them that otherwise you would have done SWOP. You only want to spend your holiday with your husband thats all. If you have a joint account, include it. jaybaby2017: Hello House, please i need your great advice on this... my spouse is presently studying in Canada, he started school in January. We applied ( in March) to visit this summer ( myself and 2 kids) and we were refused ( the only box ticked was the very last one that says we have no social economic ties at home). My hubby then asked that we should use the consultants that did his study permit and they applied early June and 3 days ago my children's applications were refused on the following grounds 1.Personal asset and finance ( I submitted both dollar and Naira account with 3 land documents) 2. Document submitted could not be authenticated. ( I only submitted their admission letter and letter from their school. All other documents are mine which are very valid and verifiable e.g. company introduction letter (stating my earnings, approved leave period, my dependents, when I joined and that my employment is fixed) my tax clearance, letter from pension fund, payslips, tentative flight bookings, hubby's employment letter and payslip in Canada,Enrollment letter from the school, study permit, etc. )
Meanwhile I addressed the concern of the 1st VO's by providing a letter from my church since i'm the church administrator and I added it to the second application).
while my application is yet to be released.
Background: I sponsored hubby application. Have a good bank balance (Naira & Dollar) We all have valid US and UK visas. Very good job with IOC in nigeria
Note: Sincerely just wanted to visit hubby on our way from the US 'cos' we intend spending this summer in the US.
Hubby is frustrated and wants me to apply for SWOP but i'm not prepared to leave my job now.....Please advice a sister. |

I think this guy just wrote some sense. Oga/Madam, i will like to know you Atikusadvocate: Impressive, but from my experience, this kind of people never make it much in life. They have the patientials to be great but the mixture of religious fanaticism, superstitious nonesense and bullshit from the parents never let them progress beyond praying frequently, followed by book reading and memorizations. Then they will end up going to medical school where they become normal students and later regular, poorly paid Nigerian doctors. My advice to you is as follows
- Go abroad for your studies and study what you love. - Try to learn, not memorize for scores. - God may exist, but religion is fake. He can neither be moved by worship nor prayers. - prayers does not work. It only works in our imagination. - Avoid prayer warriors, pastors etc. They will doom you. I am already sorrry for you if your parents are such people. - Party moderately, drink mildly, avoid drugs, keep one sexual partener and use condoms. - Explore your sexuality and get a well behaved Partner as soon as you are in university. - never gamble untill you are 30 and even then, do it for fun not to get rich. - Explore your sport and artistic talents. Success is not only found in books. |

Did he die during child birth cos the man in that pic is clearly 11 months pregnant.

I think you should apply for visit visa, visit the schools and get admission for them and then come back and apply for study permits for them. However, considering their ages you might not be given. Another option is to buy property there or do the skilled immigration. wxyz1: it seems no one get any glue to my question above. @ Just Wise please help out |

I'm presently in US on F1 visa and my wife and kid coming to join me in few months time, after their arrival, we plan to migrate to Canada and settle there. I'm having a convention in Canada in few months time which I already have the invitation and other documents to secure my visa. My question is what is the best channel for an intending immigrants like us to make our stay over there a legal one with easy process? I am afraid there is no legal means. Its either you overstay your visa and hope for the best or you apply for studies. |

I dont think you would have problems as long as you have travelled to canada before. My kids visa approval took just 4 days. ToffeeDrop: Hello @Hotstepper and ALL,
i have been following the nairaland thread on giving birth in Canada and have read all 57 pages however noticed there has been no recent (within the last 3 months or so) post on people’s poe experiences. So i am officially asking for info from anyone who has passed through canadian poe recently for birth. Particularly those who didn't declare birth purpose.
Please see my situation below
I applied for a visitor visa in November with intention to travel in December with my husband (and then in March for child birth).
I stated my purpose of travel in the form that we were planning on going for xmas to visit family (my sister is a canadian citizen and my brother has PR status there)
I have travelled to Canada 2ce previously so i didn’t think the visa process will take longer than 1 month as it didn’t take long previous applications.
The visa came after the intended December travel date so we cancelled December plan.
Now I plan to travel for the birth in March at 33 weeks and want to know what people’s recent experiences have been at poe in very recent months
Do you think i should mention intention of child birth in addition to family visit at poe?
I plan to travel with more than enough cash On Hand as i have seen the estimates from previous posts and will be accompanied by my mom who has been in and out of canada more frequently than i have (she was there as of early Dec 2017)
Would appreciate advise from the gurus |

I applied for my kids. Timeline; Application date: January 19th No biometric Approval e-mail: January 24th Passport submission: January 26th mevisbleek: Applied for one of my sister's, below is her timeline
Application Date = Jan 5th, 2018 Biometric Done = Jan 6th, 2018 Refusal Date = Jan 17th, 2018
The response was super fast. She applied online in Nigeria and also did the biometric in Nigeria but her refusal came from Canadian Embassy in London, UK. I guess the embassy in UK is helping to clear some back log from Nigeria. |
