In 2020, I heard about Canada PR but I wasn't serious with it, I was scared of writing IELTS I kept telling my brother I have not studied enough for the exam. January 2021, I finally wrote IELTS and got in the pool, then came the long pause of ITA. And when they resumed in 2022, the scores were so high, that I had to start learning French but my French tutor suddenly increased her price . At some point I gave up on this journey, but last year after the elections, I knew I had to get back in the pool. And then CBD came, I wrote IELTS again and got in the pool. ITA: 26th Oct AOR: 2nd Dec BIL: 2nd Feb MIL: 4th Feb Biometric done and linked: 12th Feb Medicals done: 14th Feb PFL: March 26 PFL: POF topup submitted April 21 MEP: 14 May FD: 15 May RFV: 16 May VO: RROC/Accra I did sputum test, my medicals took three months, crazy and depressing period... Another thing that showed me shege is exchange rate, it kept going up Thank you to the elders on this thread who have been responding to my questions from the days of WES evaluation. |

AyabaS: Came full circle in the waka today. Decided to and started the process to migrate mid 2019. Got ITA and PR in 2020 and moved early 2021. Today I became a Canadian citizen.
Goodluck to everyone still at various stages of the process Congratulations 🎉 |

chimzyblack: Will this not require withdrawal of profile? You don't need to withdraw, you are just editing the POF section, I think it is under personal details. After you edit, check for correctness and transmit. If you don't edit, your profile becomes ineligible by 28th May. |

Kcenyimbk: Thanks guys. Pls guys how do I upload my files as there is an option for upload on Gckey and my files are plenty…do I merge everything into one as it both contains pictures and all or should I put in in one folder and convert to zip file or should I add my pictures in the letter… I think you should merge the files I also responded to PFL last month and that was what I did. |

If you are in the pool, you need to update your POF.

I started this journey a long time ago and my story is long. I'll tell my story later to encourage others. One thing I can say is my application was far from perfect. Firstly, My gift deed wasn't notarized. Secondly, my former employer refused to give me reference. My colleague wrote a reference for me and it was also not notarized, only her ID card was attached.
I really want to thank @GraciousWord for answering my questions and above all I give God all the praise.

afagha: Hi guys,I got an ADR for POF in the mail a few hours ago to respond by a date 1 month from now. Anyone with any similar ADR? How did you go about it? What are my options? Can I use gift deed from a friend? Will I need to show 3 months account statement of the gifter? Or it's just my account statement? Please respond. Thank you I think you can use a gift deed, why don't you get one from a family member? They don't need the gifter account statement, just your account statement will do. You need to show the transaction receipt and the person's ID though. |

Maydaygirl: Please, I need clarification.
Someone I know received ITA today but her spouse's IELTS result expires next month. Does he need to retake it?
Should they submit their application before the expiration of the IELTS result to avoid the need for him to retake the test?
I have read through the first page of the thread but couldn't find any information on this.
Thank you. IELTS is locked at AOR, they need to submit before expiration of the IELTS. |

braine: As at today, it is about 14.5m, using XE.
IRCC completeness (R10) and eligibility check (A11.2) is usually done within a month of submission (as per my own application. It is longer for others). This is where they check POF and all for eligibility. (Try registering on the PR application tracker to monitor this, if you haven't).
If you attached the screenshots in the two submissions, I think you can wait for their ADR/feedback if they need an updated POF at this point.
It can be really tiring trying to keep up with this POF thing. Its unfortunate you have to go through this coz of the bad Nigerian economy. I haven't set up the tracker yet but I will do that today... Thank you. |

braine: While this is true, it doesn't stop the money from depreciating as at the time IRCC reviews the application. If you didnt include snapshots of the conversion rate you used, they will compare the amount you submitted to the CAD value as at the date of review.
If it falls below threshold, they will ask for an updated bank statement. Please, about what you wrote here, I submitted with 9m in December and as at then it was over 15k cad... Then 18th January, I topped up with a million and raised Web form, in cad it was about 15k... But right now, it is 14m for a single applicant. At the time I submitted, I added the conversion screenshot and I did same in January. I have been worried because I have exhausted all my savings |

godG: Good luck to everyone pursuing that Canadian dream. As long as your expectations are realistic, Canada is a decent place. It’s worth it.
And, to put things in perspective and further motivate you, many of us who were in your shoes a few years ago are now becoming citizens or have become citizens. It felt like it wouldn’t happen back then; but, as they say, time flies.
Keep at it. God bless. This is very encouraging Thank you. |
