Forget it, there's a reason I asked her about Prince Philip.
Every learns person knows he can't be king, I was only nudging her in a certain direction which she didn't notice.
She was talking about laws being changed to accommodate a marriage and you tried to bring in an instance where the law wasn't changed, yet your premise was wrong

Both of you seem not to understand the sentimental power the British public holds regarding members of the royal family. cheesy

Camilla will become Princess Consort when Charles becomes king. It's all over the damn internet if you're looking for proof, I won't spoon-feed you.
All that talk of becoming Queen consort legally or presently being Princess of Wales legally is only talk because you just want to argue.

Cheers...
We already told you that the princess consort stuff is just to cover up for their unpopularity but you don't want to listen..

If they feel that the British public will support it then she will use the queen consort title. Princess consort is only for the wife of a prince, which she won't be. She will be the wife of a king so her rightful title is queen consort.

And she's already the princess of Wales, you can check it anywhere

Yet you're saying that we the ones who just want to argue

What an incorrigible fellow...

Your own problem is that an answer will be staring at you clearly, and you will still be scratching your eyes looking for the answer elsewhere. cheesy

Midnighter even has more scope of the conversation than you do, because she knows that ONLY a "Princess of Wales" or "Duchess of York" can hold the title of Queen/Queen consort.

Instead of you to be trying to prove that Camilla is the Princess of Wales, you are busy shooting arrows into the sky. grin
Nah. Philip is not a king because when a female royal marries, the man doesn't take her name so he can't then share her title. The husband of a reigning queen is always called a prince or prince consort.

But when a male royal marries, the woman takes the name and the title of her husband. So a kings wife is the queen consort.

So comparing Philip and Camilla, which was the the genesis of this argument:

crackhaus:
Okay wait, is Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth, a King? cheesy
Even married to the Queen of England, what is his official title?
Is wrong.

Yea, she's using it inside her dreams cheesy
Her official letter-head does not carry that title, her insignia does not carry the title

Diana is still the Princess of Wales.
One person cannot be both Duchess of Corwall and Princess of Wales. What is wrong with you people? grin
Lol where are you getting all these rules fromhuh Are you just making them up as you go along?

Go and check it. She's the princess of Wales..

They all have plenty of titles...they're free to go by whichever one they like

"her full title is as follows: Her Royal Highness The Princess Charles Philip Arthur George, Princess of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duchess of Rothesay, Countess of Chester, Countess of Carrick, Baroness of Renfrew, Lady of the Isles, Princess of Scotland, Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order."

You're very funny lol. Official letterhead that can be changed any day

I said you are just typing because you only feel like making sense without actually knowing anything.

The reason Philip was never King is because he never held the title "Prince of Wales" reserved for the first son of a King/Queen of England, or "Duke of York" reserved for second son of a King/Queen of England.

This is the exact same reason why Camilla will not be Queen because she is not holding the title "Princess of Wales" reserved for the wife of the first son of a King/Queen of England, or "Duchess of York" reserved for the wife of the second son of a King/Queen of England.

Only a Princess of Wales or a Duchess of York can hold the title of Queen/Queen consort after her ascension.

You're just obtuse and proud in your ignorance, it's hilarious. cheesy I don't even know why are u are embarrassing yourself.
Has any Duchess of Cornwall ever become Queen/Queen consort in Britain's history?
Sir she is actually the princess of Wales. She has been since she married Charles

She's using that "duchess of Cornwall" because their marriage was not supported by the public. But actually she's the princess of Wales, she just doesn't use it

She is supposed to be queen consort or even queen when queen Elizabeth dies but if she is not popular enough by then they will use "Princess consort" so as not to annoy people.

Are you serious with that statement?
How many countries have you visited to come to that conclusion?
China with over 1billion population dont subscribe to that.

Have you seen defunct soviet union states citizens names?
Like I said, religion and colonialism has messed up most of these people.
Good thing you are not on that table you are shaking.

Sella
Lol! I said that it's popular all over the world and not that I have travelled to every country in the world. You how many have you gone to before you condemned Africans without even having the correct information?

You don't know what every single Chinese person subscribes to. The ones I have met use a foreign name for official purposes and then use their native at home.

Exactly! Defunct Soviet Union countries who were forced to speak Russian to the point that some of them can't even speak their own native languages again.

You keep bringing up irrelevant points because you know you're wrong. People are influenced by colonialism all over the world and not just in Africa. If you want us to leave colonialism behind then that's one thing but saying that Africans are the only ones affected by it is totally wrong

You're busy telling somebody else that they have an inferiority complex but you're looking down on Africans for using foreign names and praising other countries who do the same thing. So who has a slave mentality here?

He said she dated them. He said no casual sex on another post. Look at his posts. He seems like the common friend here. Not everyone cares about people who has dated who? Your husband may have had casual sex with over 109 girls who know what his penis looks like and how he moans in bed. Will that matter to you when accepting his proposal? Many men are even mocked on gossip sites about their sexual ability but their wives married and are still married to them. So, in reality not everyone cares about these things.
He said both dated them, and some unserious relationships where sex was involved. As in the girl used to be careless with herself

To me he sounds like he's in a loose web of contacts who all know each other but with varying levels of closeness, like a bank or large company

You can't compare men and women in this case because promiscuous men and promiscuous women are seen totally differently.

We all know that another girl knowing what your guy sounds like in bed would have no effect on most women but another guy seeing you näked is enough to send some men into incurable insomnia, especially if you know the guy already

Yea, not everybody cares who was with who but in this case, he cares. He cares a whole lot. The question is

-Can he trust her to stop her anyhow behaviour
- Can he bear the potential embarrassment of people he knows having had carnal knowledge of his chick

See this his post above. Just as I thought! He knows all these people and they are not necessarily all friends. He may be the common denominator here. She DATED them. Imagine having more than 7 exes and your boyfriend happens to know all of them grin. Even if they don’t all know each other. It can happen you know?
Well his worry is the embarrassment and her "lifestyle" before, and whether she could really change.

She didn't exactly date them but the interaction was not totally casual either. It just sounds like she was irresponsible with her actions with more than a few people who were not serious about her

To be honest OP sounds like a senior office worker or banker who is worried about running into people at those corporate "gala nights" where everybody gossips and eyes each other a lot.

Networking is important with those kinds of people and after a while it can start to wear on your nerves if people keep staring at you and you're wondering if it's for you or your wife

I miss the part where he said she was being passed around actively amongst this group of friends. Maybe I did not see it.

What makes her lose exactly? Because she dated these guyshuh Did she date all of them at the same time?
He is trying to keep it vague and not go into too much detail but the impression I get is that she finds it difficult to drive men away or turn down their advances in a firm way that will let them get the message.

You know some guys will keep hanging around you unless you just say it plainly or you're so so rude to them. I don't think she really has the heart to do that so she still has males flocking around her even though she's in a serious relationship.

So he's worried she might not be able to resist if any of them make a move.

The other thing is that she dated a lot of his acquaintances in the past and he doesn't want to be the subject of their idle gossip and suffer undue embarrassment over her past. Especially in naija where even chaste women get minimal respect and can be the subject of vicious rumours

Not at the same time but she has a high body count and he is likely to keep running into her ex-partners. Not to mention who she may be keeping in touch with on facebook, whatsapp etc.

The Indians you just mentioned wear their turban and cultural textile to corporate organization even in their stock market. what is wrong with you africans. The rest of the continents has moved on and you guys still find pride with English colonial mentality
Same reason your lawyers keep wearing that stupid wig to the court. Continue!

I guess it is a Different strokes for different folk.
I have met Indians and Chinese you know, None of them will disclose they go by the english name. But here, people prefer to be called Richard to chibuike or a Rotimi. Thats how deep the colonial mentality is.
As for the Indians and Chinese you have met, none of them will trade their native names to be called an English name.

Get an indian or chinese movie translated in english( not asking you to watch the movie) fast forward yo the cast after the movie and compare to a nigerian movie.
You are moving the goalposts. You asserted that you admire all those people because they reject English/foreign names, which I'm telling you is categorically false.

Now you're ranting about textiles and wigs, and what name they prefer to "go by". Who told you OPs kids would prefer to answer "John and Joanna" when they grow uphuh

All the Chinese people I know use their English names, all the Indian Christians I know do not even have a native name. In fact some even answer English first name, middle name and surname so I don't know what you're saying.

And I don't know where "here" is but as I said, I don't have an English name, none of my siblings do... I know plenty of people who will introduce themselves with their native and force you to pronounce it until it's perfect.

The point is that foreign names are popular all over the world and not just Africa so just drop your own suggestion for the OP and go and stop pouring out irrelevant statements.

He said she dated them. Not had casual sex with now, you might end up with a guy that knows not less than 5 people you have dated and he will tag you a cheerful giver. Then, you can come back and tell us how you feel.
This is a good point.

The question is, does OP see himself as a mumu collecting somebody's leftovers or a wife-snatcher who snagged his prize from a less worthy opponent....?

Plus there is the question of her loose behaviour which is part of what is bothering him even though he says she is working on it.

I had a girl in my department in school who multiple guys were hugging and rubbing up on even passing her in class, it's really uncomfortable to watch somebody act like that and be seen as an easy touch. I can only imagine if I were dating the person what it would feel like

Colonial mentality stretch too far even after the colonialism.

English names for your kids when an englishman will never trade their name for any other countries.

That is why I love the asians; the indians, chinese and even the arabs.

Something is hugely wrongly with africans and their unferiority complex.
Every Chinese person I have met had an English name along with their native one

Plenty of Indian Christians have an English and native name. Indian Muslims bear Arabic names a lot

Arab Christians also answer English or French names a lot of the time. Plus not everybody living in Arab countries is an ethnic Arab. There are amazigh, Kurds, Assyrians and all sorts of people who still use their colonial/slave masters names even though they are not Arabs

Africans are not the only ones under the influence, it's a normal thing when you are subjected to a dominant culture.

I'm saying this as somebody who bears only native names and no English name whatsoever.

Exactly, some people are shy when it comes to saying no and end up doing what they may not have intended.

But the thing is that at a point you would have seen the writing on the wall after being burned a few times, especially if you are in a serious relationship and heading towards marriage

In this country where even a bus conductor will be grabbing you anyhow so that you will enter his vehicle...one should learn to drive guys away and avoid embarrassment because at the end women will always take the lions share of the blame

Thats what Im trying to say. She didnt grow her cooking ability with her breasts did shehuh Being a man or woman is not the point in this circumstance

The issue is that there was nothing to eat...if youre in a relationship with somebody and you can see something is not okay why not help them? At least even if you cant cook you can get started on peeling or washing something

I dont understand this kind of mentality...her responsibility to cook when she is stuck in hours of traffic somewhere? So you'll be sitting there waiting for responsibility while your stomach is dancing atilogwuhuh

Not every man would be like your 7 and 8 year old boys. Not all men are domestic. Op stop taking marital advice from women and you need to warn her seriously to stop such nonsense and give her the last warning. It’s the duty of your wife to cook whether you are at home or not.
The bolded is what I disagreed with...being "domestic" is not a genetic trait that some guys have and others do not...

If one can see the woman is busy and it would be more practical for him to help with the cooking or washing then the person should do it and not leave everything to her because "he is a man"

Her behaviour notwithstanding the guy was being too rigid...how can you be at home in the kitchen waiting for somebody to rush home and cook your food while you starve all in the name of codinghuh

Bro which kind of depression would make her keep acting like that. Deep down I do know she's depressed because sometimes she could stay in one position for a long time thinking.. And the cause of thinking is simply because she's broke sometimes or she don't make much profit from her business. But i have given her a lot. A whole lot. Since 2016 when i was just 17 till this year I could have given her 2-3 m.. This is not an exaggeration. I know the amount is quite much considering my age but I've been a hustler for a long time and I just want to change my mom situation but she seems adamant
Thorpido is right. Be giving her a set amount of money and don't deviate from it. Stop answering her calls all the time, don't be too available for her to abuse you but at the same time don't totally abandon her.

Be unpredictable...she has seen that you are vying for her affection and she is using it against you. If she knows you will always give her more money then what's the use in her watching her spending? The amounts of money you are withdrawing for her are too variable and outrageous

You asked her what happened to the money you gave her and she started laughing...terrible. that is totally unacceptable behaviour..if you don't want to scold her directly then just slowly draw away from her.

As for the depression she may be suffering from it and taking her frustrations out on you which is not fair. You can as well tell her that you won't send her any more money until she agrees to get help

You can also get her to account for her spending in a notebook and tell her that she must write down what she buys (with receipts where possible) otherwise you will reduce or stop the money

And you really don't need to take all those insults of hers. Even the next time she does it you can shout at her not to speak to you like that and cut the call, refuse to answer or send anything for a while..it may make her sober or your siblings may even start to get angry with her when there's no money again

Also it doesn't sound like this issue has ever been confronted...how old are your siblings? You may call a family meeting and table this matter because N2 million cannot get lost just like that and all she can do is laugh...maybe you should get her to sign for money in the future in the presence of one of your family elders so that at least we will know if she doesn't have shame
