I’m convinced the wife is using the children to run interference to avoid having sex. It’s extremely unhealthy to have an 8 year old still sleeping with the parents regularly
Is it not what they use as comedy in American tv drama? Those backward families in the rural areas where incest is common and people dont have good boundaries..the running joke is that the grown children sleep in their parents bed and end up developing some strange character

Thats the problem with fake "woke" people in this country... instead of evaluating an idea sensibly, you try to be more American than the Americans and end up getting it all wrong

Some people here are actually defending the wife and insulting the OP, Im shocked.

Some people commenting here dont know what the function and psychology of a "room" is and what it entails.

The children should sleep in your room until theyre 18 years old, wonderful

Please, let me come and blend my pepper in your living room and sleep in your bathroom...nonsense

Anybody above the age of 3 years should carry their tiny bumbum to their room biko. You can even put their cot in their room with a baby monitor

God bless u.

Why on earth should an 8yr old still be sleeping with his parents every night? huh

Which parent does that?

As far back as my memory goes, that's wen i was about 4yrs old, my elder brother and i shared a room. I have no recollection of sharing a bed with my parents.
Exactly! This is literally THE MOST ABSURD thing I have ever read on Nairaland!

adonainana:
The basics of architecture is not copying and plagarism afterall every new design looks similar to something already done

The reason why most nigerian buildings always looks one sided is because of the need for air, humidity and the energy need of such building.

No nigerian Architect would ever build a bathroom without a window even if you tell him it doesnt need one as a ventilator can perform the same functions. He will bring up the power issue and the cost issue straightforward

That being said, there is still more work and more things to do than to just build chalets or 2 storey building all the where and call it a university.

Overall i think the cost issue is why Nigerian buildings always look the same tho.
Very few engineers in nigeria like the idea of a central controlled ventilation system for the above said reasons

Foreign buildings are not special, the way they look special is that they artificially create all the things a public building will need on one spot in one space. By the time this Foreign building is finished, hundred percent it will just look better and aesthetically pleasing

Hope this helps
I mentioned plagiarism as a point of reference for modern architecture in an African context and not necessarily because its "wrong" to be influenced by previous designs.

For example, having Corinthian style columns and arches or gothic style like Oxford University in the hope of looking more "sophisticated" may look "nicer" but would still be very insincere, wouldnt it?

Because Oxford university was built in the style reigning in Europe during the Middle Ages. So it doesnt have any meaning in post-colonial Nigeria. Yet people always complain that our buildings are ugly, plain, boring, etc

So my question was what exactly would make them look better or more interesting? What influences and contexts do we have or where do we draw our inspiration from, moving forward?

The issue of centralised energy systems or illogical ergonomics wasnt really my concern but the aesthetic aspect, which I notice always comes up every time somebody posts pictures of a new building. Air or humidity cant be it because there are nice buildings in hot countries all over the world. Though you also mentioned cost; maybe...

The problem is that we seem to be perpetually uninspired and parochial when it comes to art. Which is crazy! We come from some of the most creative cultural backgrounds in history.

Anyway, I get your point, thanks

Why can't he obey the school rule of decent dressing code? I could see some people saying he has the right to any hairstyle which I believe. But it shouldn't go against the rule.
Meanwhile when a Muslim girl wear hijab and claim it's her fundamental right but she was denied and even punished , you all shout she should go by the school rule if they don't allow it there. So this boy too should leave aside his fundamental right and go by the rule.
You have a point.

The next question is; did he give her his permission to cut his hair to avoid being kicked out of his class?

First of I’ll like to say you are very silly...with that out of the way let me advise u.

1. You are only a surety or guarantor...so you are only liable for the loan when the bank has tried all efforts to recover the loan from him...so expect he sells all stocks and disappears...u are still save but very stupid.

2. At the expirations of the date of repayment you are no longer liable..and u can go to the bank to withdraw your documents as u didn’t guarantee him forever.

3. Do not alert him to any steps you are making to retrieve your money...

This is actually the best suggestion so far but I dont know if he will read it.

The most important thing now is to get the cousin to sign even one document that will have consequences if he doesnt stick to its conditions.

Thats what OP failed to ensure the first time which is why his evil cousin doesnt feel any pressure.

An average secondary in USA has better structure than this. When shall we get there.
Are you talking about architecture?

Im curious; what architectural influences do we have that could be successfully incorporated into modern building design?

We often decry a sense of ugliness and plainness in our buildings, but how could they look more sophisticated without plagiarising or appropriating foreign concepts?

As in what would be both aesthetically pleasing and authentically "African"?

Who is supposed to determine where a plane lands or not? Is that the duty of the citizens or those in position of authority?

Plus saying giving approval or not should not make someone build houses where planes land, is an indictment on the government and shows incompetence because a sensible government would not give approval for houses, where planes land.
This is a misplaced priority. Youre focusing on the wrong thing

Okay, now that the government has failed, are you trying to say that successive officials who may not even have been in office at the time the rubbish "approval" was given should just fold their hands and allow the errant building to stay there?

Wont they correct the mistake?
PoliticsRe: Akanu Ibiam Airport: Enugu Govt Demolishes Structures Encroaching On Land by midnighter(f): 7:06pm On Jan 23, 2020
philip0906:
The problem with your submission is that it is the same government, who gave them permits/permissions to buy lands & build houses there. No one builds houses or erects structures in Nigeria, without getting approval from authorities.

So what you have is basically a case of government eating their cake and having it...Policy summersaults as a result of incompetence & no clear and followed through roadmap
You are not saying the right thing Sir. What kind of useless fellow purposely goes and builds his house where planes want to land, whether anybody gave him "approval" or not?

Its like saying that somebody who commits murder and escapes the charges is not at fault but the law courts are. Its a 2-way thing

Anybody who does this kind of thing should be aware that they may be on borrowed time. A murderer can still be arrested 20 years after the fact when hes an old man, likewise a madman who builds illegally in an airport exclusion or over a drainage flow should be prepared to one day face the music.

Yes Na. That guy doesn’t know how the system works. He’s just reading Oyinbo newspaper and getting his boxers in a twist. Talking about contexts he doesn’t understand. Kate is a commoners daughter. Even her net worth is not from her but her father. Meghan worked for everything she has. So what if she divorced that numbskull she married?

The girl stood, married a prince against all odds and tried to live in that evil society. How can over 1 million people be hating at the same damn time grin. She finally decided that enough. Harry actually and they decided to live a quiet life to give their family a chance. But these fake negroes are here saying that she’s this and that. The marriage won’t work. If it won’t work, that’s their business. They gave it a good try so that’s very good for them.
Its a complex issue and people try to brush over the details to make themselves feel important. When you now point something out to them, they begin to rant.

A self-made outsider who already had a whole life of her own before marriage and a class-volatile "English rose" heiress who had been preparing to say "I do" for over a decade cant be forced into the same context unless you just want to deceive yourself. There are so many levels of reference and analysis that would come into play

The marriage wont work, the marriage wont work. Whatever! The most important thing is that they managed to get Archie away from the whole mess before he got old enough to notice it.

1) The Channels TV reporter shoved a cameraman, probably operating with another TV station, who was obstructing the Channels camera view

2) The Channel's TV reporter's response was crude, to be honest.

3) The job of cautioning the trespassing cameraman in a more civilized manner, should have been undertaken by the Channels cameramen or backup crew, and not the Channels reporter. That way, it wouldn't have been too obvious or look like they were quarrelling. The guy would have still moved on anyway, without this drama

I already admitted my mistake in giving a Diana bio for Kate, I had it mixed up which doesn't surprise me considering I'm responding to different people and still doing my thing out here.

Whether in personal achievement or family achievement, Kate Middleton was never a nobody. Full stop.

You're the one trying hard to draw your own interpretations to what that guy meant by 'Nobody'.
cheesy And the OP's response said? Hahaha

Having a wealthy father or ties to the monarchy does not necessarily make you "somebody" in the eyes of the BRF or British [high] society in general. Those are loaded statements that need explanation before they will mean anything.

Stop making random points out of context and without qualification and then getting angry when youre pulled up on them.

You were the one who asked me those questions when all I did was point out that none of those things you wrote could apply to Kate Middleton's upbringing. None!

LMAO! But truly Kate is like a rich persons child who came up from Agege but is able to send their children to the poshest schools in Nigeria where the elite children go. Then they groom her with private tutors to be what the future King will want. It doesn’t even mean they are billionaire rich.

I know some families in Nigeria who will starve to send their children to such schools because they think it means better connections and a better life. Nigerians are now trying to say Kate is better background wise than Meghan, that’s hilarious. Maybe because she’s white?
Exactly, at least in Nigeria thats a "rags to riches" "I once had no shoes" kind of story. Something to be admired.

But in a class society like Britain the money is not the point. The point is that the father made millions selling balloons and birthday candles. Thats all they kept repeating all the time, as if its a crime

Meghan was partially exempted because she is an outsider. Plus, one big reason America came into existence was to fight against the stifling class system of the Brits. The founding American principles were that of equality and opportunities for all.

So everybody knows she doesnt give a hoot about all that...thats why they came with different angles to make her look stupid because pointing out that her parents are poor wont do her anything (though they still like to remind us from time to time)

The Sandrigham Estate part. Okay

Does her family have ties to the monarchy or not and is her father wealthy or not?

Just trying to dispute the claim that she was nothing before marrying Williams.
Having ties to the monarchy is not the same as being born into nobility or aristocracy.

Having a wealthy father isnt the point either. Established wealth isnt the same as nouveau riche, which is where the Middletons have attracted insult upon insult.

That whole paragraph you wrote was about Diana and not just the Sandringham part.

The person wrote that she "was" nothing, which was to do with career and personal achievement. A little harsh, but true.

The person wrote that she "had" nothing, which is obviously not true because her parents were wealthy enough to be able to train her in those upper-class British traditions that served her well when she married, and to finance her lifestyle as an adult.

But the original comment alluded to personal wealth by contrasting her with Meghans "self-made"/"successful" status, which Kate has never had. If they were talking about families, I doubt they would have brought it up because Kate's family is obviously wealthier than Meghans (although Meghan was still able to attend prestigious private institutions in the US because of her father).

So its either you deliberately misconstrued the intent behind the comparison or you genuinely took it from another angle because it wasnt immediately clear to you what they meant.

In any case, all I initially sought to do was point out that that stuff you wrote could only apply to princess Diana.
