Olamilekxy: bibble was a compilation of man's work? and yet you guys call it the word of God, that means jesus didn't know anything about bible.
so bibble is just a history book or novel written by Romanians cos with this yr comment that what it means to me. The Word of God means that it was given by God but recorded by humans. Different humans with cross-references, witnesses and corresponding stories. Unlike Muslims who believe that one person in a cave in the middle of nowhere suddenly imbibed the entire word of God without anybody else seeing or hearing it smh So where did he get it from How can you be sure its real when there are no witnesses? |

Olamilekxy: calm down Bro Muslim only have two festival and all Muslim celebrate it all over the world. and about mawlid, mawlid is not compulsory if you want to celebrate it you can celebrate it, and if you don't want to celebrate it you're good.
note= Muslim have two festival and all Muslim celebrate, that's, no Muslim go against it,unlike Christian that have one festival and yet some Christian go against You are not serious Mawlid is not banned yet some of your Muslims brothers insist that people who celebrate it are destined for Hellfire. All Muslims celebrate Eid yet Sunni and Shia can never ever celebrate it on the same day so you are you deceiving here Like I said, stop searching for relevance because nobody in the entirety of Christendom is interested in you people yet you keep pokenosing and provoking over nothing. |

zeeprince: Bunch of confused miscreants.. when the deeper life and Jehovah's witnesses who outrightly condems ur celebration of Christmas we don't see smoke coming from ur heads but when a Muslim decides not to partake in it you all will be shouting religion tolerance like the Muslims are forcing you to stop doing it Shutup! When Salafis and Wahhabists refuse to celebrate mawlid with you people nobody cares so stop searching for relevance where you can never dream to have any I agree with the anti-party group, that adding anything to Islam is a bid’ah, and that it violates and compromises the sanctity of divine revelations. But there’s a caveat. We must not forget that rendering what is permitted as forbidden is just as bad as deeming what is forbidden as permitted.
We must be careful about how we define bid’ah. Why deprive Muslims the joy of celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad when we accept so many other things that are neither revealed in the Qu’ran nor introduced by Prophet Muhammad? Here is a short list to make my point. Isn’t celebrating the Saudi National Day (Sept. 23) bid’ah? Well, they might say, yes, but it is not associated with Islam. How about visas for Hajj, or Hajj fees? Isn’t that bid’ah? The Prophet and his companions never charged a Hajj fee.
Why pray 20 rakath in taraweeh? Rakath is a unit of prayer and taraweeh is the special night prayers in Ramadan. The defense that the second Caliph Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) deemed it bid’ah Hasanah — the beautiful innovation — complicates the matter further. Clearly this innovation is not leading to hell, since the Prophet himself attested that Caliph Umar was destined for heaven. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/prophet-muhammads-birthda_b_1251782?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAI0uJ-IB_hHoNOkJKEaLOIzTGsL3df_1X63gnhJzJ42IPlkQxnpM450dBPloQ8_ll3ihgD7_KyJoo9rdmPttv3mNfW4pd4eYWRLsWT5Rn2QMIJNiqIOqpgGlMD47LB6KvvQalLuoPNXQDg6OWH-h0BQNe1NlZ04fHeKRuNUdNN8f |

Does Salah not have millions of Christian fans all over the world? Would it be out of place if he regarded and congratulated them on a festival they hold dear? Does it mean he subscribes to Christmas?
The misguided extremists should please take it a notch higher and tell Salah to quit Liverpool because it's a majorly Christian club [in a Christian city and a Christian country]. Idiocy! Exactly! Why didnt they tell him to increase the length of his football shorts in order to preserve his Hijab?A Muslim man shouldnt expose himself above the knee but they dont care about that side. Any body, even atheists can read it for the sake of literature and that's what they will get out of it. Just literature--historical events, texts, biographies, chronologies etc. But another person can read it and get salvation, which is the spiritual value, out of it.. The bible was written over a period of hundreds of decades by people who didn't t even know one another yet talking about the same person i.e Jesus Christ whether in Prophecy or in events, his kenosis, life on earth death, resurrection and the significance of it. This is the Spirit and power of scripture and there is perfect agreement over this among all the writers of the bible. Every other detail including figures, historical events semantics etc are all subject to human limitations of the writers in terms of personal mastery of language vocabulary, detailing, perspectives etc and it's also subject to such factors as interpretations, tranlations and transliteration of literature, preservation of integrity of text, change in meaning and semantics of certain words in languages over the years etc Please tell them. Somebody wrote 3 months, another person wrote 3 months and 10 days so that means the Bible is totally wrong smh |

Just like the Jennifer "Ukambong" Samuel resonates with people because it sounds like an Efik name even though she is actually from Plateau This is a highly political issue and the more it sounds like a "Innocent Christian Southerner captured by evil Muslim Northerner", the more clicks it gets and the more newspapers it sells, regardless of what actually happened. |

You'd better force yourself to stay put with the guy. All the stuff youre writing there is malleable and not concrete. You have to learn to expand your tolerance level gradually, according to your own level of comfort and what suits you Dont throw yourself in completely or do things that make you uncomfortable just because "thats what normal people do" For example some people need their man to call and check on them every day, how are you, have you eaten, what are you doing bla blah. otherwise they feel the guy doesnt care. If you find being contacted every time annoying then you dont need to conform to that. You can explain to the dude that you only need to check in on each other once in a while Take it at your own pace so that you wont start getting irritated because you feel suffocated, crowded, bored or caged. And really search deep within yourself so that you will be able to express your needs to the man in a way that he will understand. Michellekabod2: . At best out of the blue I lose interest and become blank , not returning calls or replying messages, at worst I become disgusted at the fellow for no reason at all then move one to the next male friend. This stuff suggests some kind of psychological barrier where you become fatigued easily, thinking, "....is this it? " which I suspect is due to becoming overwhelmed due to overexposure to the person too quickly and too fast. This can happen if youre a solitary kind of person who doesnt normally like intrusions into their emotional space as it makes them feel off-balance. And love itself is a giant intrusion! So your mind quickly goes into isolation mode and pushes the person away completely...the same features that were initially attractive to you become meaningless, the same way a song that you love becomes boring after playing it hundreds of times I suggest you think outside of the box to maintain the relationship without getting tired And I also suggest that you dont mind those people telling you to forget him because this, as youve already stated, is a personal problem that you need to take responsibility for. How will you take responsibility for it if you dont confront it in action? You will still find the same issue with the next guy, and the next, until you change your mentality and approach. So dumping this guy is not a solution rather you should do the best with what you have available to you, carry the guy along and keep moving towards what is workable for the two of you. Not everybody is all about romance and lovey-dovey stuff, and thats totally okay as long as you accept it and work with it. |

We understand conditions are tough there, we know. But she is working a professional job over there and sharing her experience on how she got it. Allow her do that in peace. Let others who want to follow her steps in getting PROFESSIONAL work in the uae do so. Some people will take that over living in Nigeria even with the tough laws in the uae. Allow those few individuals learn in peace. Thank you I don't think that's really accurate. The topic is open for everybody to comment and debate on. I agree that it got derailed but those people still brought up important points that should be considered before one decides to migrate to the middle east. How is human rights irrelevant to the topic when we know that those countries have a reputation for racism and maltreating migrant workers? That person you quoted in particular put their points across in a polite and respectful way for anybody who cared to read it so it was for the OP to respond to their enquiries and paint a bigger picture. Thats what these kinds of threads are all about. The reason it got as crazy as it did was because the OPs updates came very sparingly when the thread had already reached front page with hundreds of people viewing. If she had been available to post all the updates within a shorter timeframe the discussion would have gone differently. It's naive to expect people to keep totally silent on a front page topic and when it comes to travel people will always be zealous in trying to weed out hearsay and misinformation from the facts. |

sapientia: Abeg.. Stop quoting me.
If you can't get it till now, you will never. Hahahaha Jesus didnt even inherit the throne through Joseph because Josephs ancestry was cursed. It was Marys forefather who conferred the inheritance on him and not Joseph's. So you have no point! Jesus was still a direct descendant of David through his mother Mary. Both Mary and Joseph were descendants of David.
There are two records of lineage given for Jesus given in the Bible: Luke 3:23–38 is thought to belong to Mary and Matthew 1:1–17 is thought to be Joseph's (Mary's husband, but not Jesus’s dad). This speculation appears to be rooted in a prophecy in Jeremiah 22:30 & 36:30 that says that none of King Jehoiachin's descendents would be allowed to rule on the throne of David. Jehoiachin is called Jeconiah in the Matthew genealogy. He isn't in the Luke genealogy. https://www.quora.com/If-Jesus-is-supposed-to-be-descended-from-King-David-how-does-it-work-since-hes-not-of-Josephs Next, remember King David had more than one son. One of them was Nathan. None of Nathan's descendants had any "Jeconiah-like" curses. Mary was a descendant of Nathan (Luke 3:23 and verse 31—remember, as explained above, although the English text says “the son of Joseph, the son of Heli…” since the original Greek says Heli is the father-in-law of Joseph, logically, Heli is the biological father of Mary). Now, Jesus is completely safe from the problem of the Jeconiah curse, all while being from the line of David, and of the Tribe of Judah. https://christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/56826/how-could-jesus-be-descended-from-the-royal-line-of-david-if-he-was-born-of-theSmh |

There is never a way hundreds of people will fit into the criteria.
Jews have database. You just stated that Joseph was from the line of David. Was he the only descendant of David? You stated that Mary was only selected because she was married to somebody from the line of David. Was she the only one married to a descendant of David? |

sapientia: That's the order.
Joseph was not chosen because he was special but because he was from the tribe of David.
Mary was chosen simply because Joseph decided to marry her. If Joseph decided to marry Ruth or Martha or Deborah etc, the person would have still been chosen. So you're saying that the role was inherited by virtue of satisfying that particular requirement at that moment in time but you still don't get it because there must have been literally hundreds of people who also filled those criteria, yet Mary and Joseph were still chosen out of all those who were eligible. |

Mindfulness: So now you are even comparing thieves to people who didn't choose to keep their virginity till marriage?
@bold For every person who discounts virginity a 100 people insult those people women who do not subscribe to the view that sex is dirty. And they believe they are riding the moral high horse. The joke is that Mary wasn't even married when she got pregnant. You believe she conceived the Holy Spirit but I believe she was just enjoying herself. I am not comparing anybody. I am using them both as examples of where a commandment has clearly been broken to explain to you why emphasising the importance of chastity doesn't mean that you're condemning non-virgins or saying that they're bad people. Which they're definitely not! Probably "thief" was too strong an example, I can accept that. But I wasn't comparing them. I don't think it's right to insult those who don't subscribe to the view that sex isn't dirty either. But that's not what I'm seeing on the thread right now. She wasn't married when she got pregnant because as I now understand it, the point was that a young maiden would conceive of the Holy Spirit and that implies that the person is unmarried. |
