italo:Why are you mad at me? I didn't write the nonsense written in the Bible. |
naomiZ:According to this passage... |
This sounds like the nonsense that Yar'adua was spewing before he croaked. Remember when he was being photographed on a treadmill? Where is he now.. |
Why do Catholics refer to priests as 'Father' when the Bible claims that Jesus said: "Don’t call anyone on earth your father. All of you have the same Father in heaven. None of you should be called the leader. The Messiah is your only leader." Matt 23:9 - 10 Any logical answers? |
mbatuku2:'Imaginary beings cannot prevent suffering' is the lesson that we should take away from this picture. |
They only need to pay more if you insist on using imported ingredients. There's plenty of cassava in Nigeria. You don't need to use wheat. |
tbaba1234:The same man who said that he didn't believe in devaluation. Now you're here lying that it was his plan all along. "The Central Bank of Nigeria, last year imposed tight capital controls and pegged the naira at an official rate currently 35 per cent stronger than the black market rate, and the president has repeatedly asserted, that he would not endorse official devaluing of the naira." http://thenationonlineng.net/buhari-rejects-naira-devaluation-2/ |
For all the people crediting Buhari - is he even in the country? Did he not extend his 'holiday'? |
ifenes:The pastor abused a 12 year-old boy. He should be in prison. |
YoursGEJ:The sad thing about this is that them taking a trip to Lagos is better than what they've done in the past where they've used 'government business' or conference to fly out of the country. At least they stayed in Nigeria and allowed some of that money that they seem so fond of wasting to stay within Nigerian borders. A tiny consolation. |
roomus:Why did you type 'gat' instead of 'got'? It doesn't shorten the word so what's the reason behind it? |
Rossikk:The English never had a 'football culture' to speak of. They won the world cup when most of the world wasn't playing the game to any great standard. Since then they've won nothing/ |
jhidey08:Maybe you're right about Pinnick but from the way that he treated Keshi and the rash decision to hire Oliseh, a man who was known to cause major wahala as a player, I would suggest that he's a huge part of the problem. Fans turn out to watch the Super Eagles in Calabar and Uyo. If they played in Port Harcourt, the fans would be there too. Kaduna doesn't favor the players (Keshi and Enyeama complained the first time) - the last time the team went there it was a disaster, two players fell ill and you had the foolish crowd climbing on masts. Whether people realize it or not those images reinforce negative preconceptions about Nigeria that do not help any of us. Such things never happen in Calabar or Uyo and I have no doubt that the authorities in Port Harcourt would ensure that it did not happen there either. Besides, a 50% full stadium in Abuja (capacity 60,000) is still better than a full stadium in Kaduna which has a capacity of less than 20,000. |
nerodenero:We need to push Pinnick out of a plane with no parachute. Then ensure that someone who cares about football and isn't there for political reasons is given the position. Then restructure the NFF so that there is openness and transparency as to how much is received and how much is spent. And stop playing games in Kaduna when Nigeria has a great stadium in Abuja; another in Uyo; a good venue in Port Harcourt; another in Calabar. Finally, the NFF needs to put pressure on the Federal Government to sell the National Stadium in Lagos - it's an eye sore at the moment but it could be developed into another world class stadium. It could be the home of Nigerian football once again. |
This same CBN has been wrong about almost everything for a year. Stop being a mouth piece for Buhari and start speaking the truth. |
blackprowler:Government isn't getting people pregnant and I often wonder about the sanity of the people who continue to procreate whilst crying about hardship. But governments can create incentives for couples who have smaller families and undergo anti-fertility treatment (such as vasectomies). Also, something has to be done about the religious groups who encourage reckless breeding habits and tell people not to use contraceptives/birth control. Such people should be recognised as enemies of progress. |

Does this mean that they will stop spending millions of dollars on imported vehicles? |
codemaniacs:It's not just Yorubas that are expanding in number. I wish that Lagos was stricter about informal settlements. That would keep the numbers in Lagos down and make it easier to keep Lagos clean and orderly. As things are you can't restrict movement within Nigeria but you can use current laws to deal with those who move to Ajegunle, Makoko et al. Also, many of the people who live in these slums are from Togo and Benin Republic. |
ki02020:The population has doubled in size since 1991. If you wish to see 'meaningful improvement' in the lives of the people then it the economy would need to grow at a much faster rate than the that of the population. Either you slow down the population rate so that more can be spent on those of us who are currently here or you ramp up economic development. Ideally, a responsible government would do both. |
ki02020:It's growing too slowly compared to the population growth. Even from 1999 until now Nigeria's economy has grown and did very well for at least ten of those years but the rate of population growth is out of control. |
Save your money and invest in solar. |
Good job OP for checking the story. But I have to say that that's not even a proper store. I don't know what is wrong with you people where you would want to shop there in the first place. There are much better retail options in Abuja. |
truthalways:Girls like this do not want 'equality', they want preferential treatment. |
Tobium1:It's usually a woman who wants to tell everyone what is happening in the home. It's very uncouth and very unwise. |
She's lucky that she isn't resident in the North. |
If they don't want your money then why would you want to give them your money. Boycott their stores and as many of their goods as you can. If they can't make money in Nigeria then all of these Chinese restaurants, bakeries and stores will be forced to leave. |
koboko69:The reason why the 'average Nigerian on the street' doesn't feel the benefit is largely the result of Nigerian cultural peculiarities. If you see how Nigerians will waste money in churches - paying for 'Thanksgiving'; paying tithes; giving 'gifts' to pastors; 'offerings' etc then it shouldn't surprise anyone when they cry about being broke. This on top of the ridiculous population growth - if your salary doubles but you choose to get married and have 3/4 children then chances are you will end up broke (the absolute most anyone in Nigeria need have is two, one should be the norm). Likewise, a nation whose population doubles every 25 years isn't going to be able to save any money. |
This is how it should be. Patronize your own instead of importing. |
