SHIVA001:
If You really want Your Child to blossom, You need to Transform yourself into A joyful, loving and peaceful being. Children don't listen to you. They Watch your Actions.
This will go over their heads. They want to quote scripture and be hypocrites rather than look inwards.

GeneralShepherd:
By your logic, majority of Nigerians should not have children. Again the nairaland philosophy, do not question the society that has buried majority of her citizens in poverty, blame the impoverished citizens for having children
It's a revolving door of stupidity.

The people are abused because they are easy to abuse because no matter what happens they keep adding to their number.

They are at least partly culpable for the current status quo, don't sit there and act as if they aren't. At least those who have had children.

At some point Africans will need to look at some of their foolish practices and remove those that make them so exploitable and so easy to abuse. In the meantime it will be more of the same. This isn't a new problem, it has been happening for several hundred years at this point if we include the period in which Africans were sold overseas as chattel.

God1000:
Nigeria is a morally bankrupt society

It all starts from our homes, proper upbringing of children is very important

So many parents these days don't teach their kids good morals, poor parenting is largely responsible.
It starts in the home but the first issue is that many people who cannot take care of themselves are raising children in strained circumstances when the truth is they have no business breeding.

Correct Omoluabi

Yorubas are successful in all ramifications

Entertainment
Education
IT
Banking
Medical field
Entrepreneurship
Politics
Just name it
Even the south west is the most developed and among the biggest economy in africa
Go outside the country to places like UK, US… some cities there are dominated by yorubas and they are doing very well yet they don’t brag or make noise.
They come fine again, chai, Yoruba girls dey fine come carry shoulder… chai Yoruba girls fine ooo

While some people sell spare parts and won’t let people have peace, they will brag and beat chest like gorillas
Thank you Omoluabis all over the world for making us proud.
Thank you Seun Osewa Omoluabi for creating nairaland
Maybe fix your home before boasting about what you have done as a collective. Biggest economy means nothing, what is the quality of life of the average Yoruba man? How safe is Yoruba land? How clean? What is the air purity index? Do you have basics such as clean drinking water and electricity? How are health care services?

My point is, you have too much to be done for you be boasting online in this manner. It smacks of someone with zero self awareness.

The stupid parents.

Why are the children responsible for such? Unless you're saying they were given cash to pay their fees in which case the question becomes - why did the stupid parents give cash to the child to pay school fees?

Isn't it ironic that such punitive migration laws are gaining ground under the rule of a PM who is largely an immigrant himself.
Who better to pass such policy? Then nobody can accuse such of being "racist".

Just as Shemima Begum had her citizenship withdrawn by another South Asian heritage government official. It's all a game and these people are being used as pawns.

I know the UK is difficult, that's why I don't understand this narrative of "people who clean nyansh live better than CEO in Naija". It's the most blatant lie.

How much is CEO making in Nigeria compared to cleaning yansh abroad?

If you cant do the work, come back to Nigeria where the government frustrate your business with their bad policies..

Remember a person cleaning yansh abroad lives better and earns better than a bank manager or professor in Nigeria
Absolute rubbish.

Show me the person who cleans nyansh and has a cook? or a driver? or can even afford to have somebody maintain their yard.

Many of them in this same abroad that you celebrate cannot even afford to heat their own homes, pay for electricity for the entire week or pay for cooking gas. When have you heard of any CEO in Nigeria having such problems?

Do people who clean nyansh abroad send their children to private school? Pay for foreign trips abroad several times a year? Enjoy lavish birthdays and xmas? No.

Stop lying to yourself.

CEO of which firm/company/business?

If she was a real CEO in naija, she wouldn’t use a tier 4 or pay heavily for tier 2 visa to relocate to UK. Na just vacation she go dey do in UK
You'd be surprised at some of the people who decide to sell everything they own just to run and be a third class citizen abroad.

You aren't going to fight off three useless people with nothing to lose. Especially when you have things and people to live for and a life that you enjoy.

That's what I always tell you people who talk that Japa nonsense, you don't realize that all of these places have people who live worse than you realize and have no qualms about killing you to take what you have.

That's a problem that will not stop until people stop bringing more children into poverty.

How can a sane human go to the polling unit and vote for Apc again...Nigerians are sick..how can politicians give you adhoc staff small money and you really rig the election for Apc...Nigerians are sick

Untill we put on our conscience and grab our pvc without tribalism, religion and petty sentiments And do the right thing

I will keep on saying it If you can't handover your daughter or sister for Marriage to a sick old man with dementia not physically and mentally fit and he is aware of his environment but you voted and you you want the same man to head over 220 millions Nigeria may you and your children know no peace

What made it even easier to support Asiwaju as a core northerner, was that he was unarguably the best candidate - by sheer capacity & track record of excellence in governance and leadership recruitment.

We hold the value of “Amana” (trust/loyalty) dear to our hearts generally as Northerners regardless of religion. Our brethren in the SW were also steadfast and loyal throughout this outgoing administration, helping obliterate deliberate anti-North propaganda and containing Igboho’s excesses which the ipob terrorists tried to latch on to. Together, we ensured the hate-mongering ipob terrorists leader Nnamdi Kanu was contained and quite effectively restrained.

Here’s to a peaceful, prosperous and absolutely fantastic new administration of the Lion of Bourdillon, the Jagaban of Borgu & Asiwaju of Lagos -
