The world is just running scared that the "the church rat is no longer poor”. All along folks where comfortable when it was ok to serve God in holiness and live in penury, however the church has entered the realm the prophet Isaiah spoke of in Isaiah 2:1 and Isaiah 60,the devil cant stand it.Seems more like we are eating our cake and having it now!
Folks shout a lot about pastors in Africa and I just laugh, Papa is probably not as wealthy as Joel Osteen and definitely not as wealthy as his spiritual father Kenneth Copeland who has bought and given out over 30 airplanes. However the poverty mentality that most black people streak of cannot allow them rationalize an African own airplanes.
I dare say over 70% of the children in Covenant university are kids of Winners so I don’t get all the bellyaching about the high fees.And what’s all this talk about Papa being richer than everyone in his congregation , Jimoh Ibrahim worships in Canaan land and he doesn’t even stand out in the crowd. Take it or leave it Winners is a church of wealthy people led by a wealthy man of God. I was also informed that the boss being accused only recently learnt of the plan to fly her out and the intention to raise 500k to support her air tkt fares but involved more hands to raise over 3m and send same to her branch within 4 days of being aware.

1.Why did they consistently report the two occassions where fulani herdsmen attacked and killed innocent women and children in their sleep in Jos North as religious clashes even when other foreign media stations had access to details and reported them as the massacres they were.
2.Why they reported that the late president had breakfast with his cousin and even asked about the welfare of his family and friends only for him to die a few weeks later and we eventually found out he had not spoken in months.
3.Why they never report Israel's side on the conflict in Gaza?
4.Why they never mention the massacre in Sudan where the mostly islamic north has been killing the mostly christian south for years?

These fear mongers should instead worry about how their principal can wrestle power from the incumbent, and become the “chairman” of the shareholders forum, if not, if and when he loses, the other shareholders that seem to be his perceived loyalists at the moment would simply adjust quickly to retain or consolidate their shares and life goes own. Until when someone with plans and the means to upset the PDP cart comes into power (With all respect to GEJ but he is not that man) then and only then can we worry about the army coming into power. Nobody is lying to root for anyone,its obvious you dont get around much.In over  12yrs fuel has NEVER been sold at the same price around the country.Pump prices varies from region to region with the south east and extreme north selling at higher prices than other regions.I know cos i lived most of my life up north and just moved south.I am talking about price uniformity not scarcity and that has changed over the past few months.

A very laughable achievement indeed. BTW, fuel is sold at =N=65. If I were to play pranks, I'd say you don't even buy fuel since you are unable quote the price correctly. However, it is not =N=65 in most part of the south east and the north as you claimed.

Just recently in 9ja last year, I drove into filling stations several time and bought fuel with out having to queue. I paid =N=65 in some places and =N=100 in some other parts of the country and spent less than 5 minutes at the gas stations.

You also claim to have been driving for long, I guess that "long" must be less than a year.

In PH,Warri and Benin filling stations(cities i have been to in the past 4 months since GEJ became president)fuel is being sold at btw 64 and 65 naira, I also have  folks who live in the North confirming the new price. I am also certain those places you bought at 100 naira last year don’t sell at that price anymore. If it’s no mean feat how come it’s not been done for years? As hard as it is, you should try to analyse the issues i understand it’s much easier trying to ridicule the opponent, but that’s what cost Hilary the Democratic ticket and in turn the US presidency.

In a more organized society Saraki would be in jail for using depositors’ money to fund his election into office. Folks rooting for IBB are probably too young to understand the state the country was in before he came into power and how he left it 8yrs after. He set us a downward trend and we have not been able to get back up since.GEJ is probably our best bet although his running on the PDP platform is suspect, cos one wonders  how any good can come out of that colony of criminals. Those hoping for a Ribadu/Utomi presidency are in dreamland, as much as i would love to see those two in power i am quick to admit it’s impossible. Ribadu is hardly known in the North if u doubt that,just take a walk to your gate house and ask your mallam if he has heard of him.These guys are only popular on the internet via social media and the folks that have access to these facilities rarely vote, they would hardly walk two kilometres to look for a registration centre how much more vote on election day. The actual people, whose votes count, do not have access to the internet so forget about an Obama-style campaign via social networking on the internet, Nigeria is not there yet. These folks recognize only party symbols like the Umbrella and the Broom, anyone that has served in the North or any other remote location can attest to that. I reckon most of the guys yapping and tearing each other up on NL would be chilling in their houses on Election Day watching the premiership.

You talk as if these military guys are not Nigerians. Most 9jans are not interested in breaking monopolies of military guys, all we are asking for is good governance and I care less if it takes a military guy or civilian to take us out of the rot we find ourselves. GEJ has not in anyway moved us forward. IBB may have his antecedents, but his cronies are not peddling lies and trying to distort history like GEJ's mouthpieces. While IBB supporters have outlined a good number of positives from his days in government, I am yet to read a single piece of any achievement from GEJ's people apart from distortion of facts. In fact GEJ's campaign website (at least the last time I checked) does not have a single line on what he's been able to achieve in his 11 years in government.

Hence your assertion that GEJ "may not move too far forward but IBB is definitely reverse gear" is tainted again with an opinion not based on facts but assumptions without any credible evidence to support such a stand.

i have one for you,over the past few weeks i am able to drive into any filling station and buy fuel at the 64 naira pump price. Same goes in stations all over the country even in the north where folks only buy fuel from jerry can stations. That has not happened in a long while, matter of fact i have not experienced it since i started driving and boy i have been driving for a while.

I agree with you. this is a forum where people are free to voice their opinion. but that said however, when only one aspirant has five topics on the homepage, all saying positive things about him and the other aspirants are rarely being mentioned, it leaves you wondering about the so much talked about LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. Yes, anyone can start a topic but you and I know that only "selected" topics make it to the homepage.

Those are my thoughts exactly. There is never a dearth of intriguing and fascinating topics on NL, u only need to go through the various sections to see that. For topics highlighting the campaign of one of Nigeria's worst leaders to now gain prominence on this forum that is most frequented by the same young people (Seun inclusive) he called inexperienced and incapable of leadership is a slap on our faces. The effort is really futile, it would take a whole lot more than NL, facebook and twitter put together to inculcate positive images of the gap-toothed fraud on the mind of Nigerian youths. I do agree with @MSRA on one thing though, IBB daring to run for an elected office in this country is a reflection of our values as a people, in a better society he would be in jail or exiled somewhere. Bro don’t u see that's where u missed it.U saw something in the bible and u come on NL to get clarification. Jesus said the Holy Spirit will guide us in all things. No pastor,no prophet is supposed to be the final guide for the new testament believer and definitely not a social networking forum like this. If u need clarification from the scriptures pray to the Holy Spirit and so long as u are redeemed and He lives in you He will gladly guide u to the truth. But then the conditional clause to hear from Him is - u have to be a Son of GOD “cos as many as are led by the Spirit of GOD (not NL) they are the Sons of God”. The words in the Bible are spirit and authored by men inspired by the Holy Spirit and it takes the help of the Holy Spirit its author, to properly discern them. So if u are born-again and the Holy Spirit lives in u go ahead and ask Him to reveal whatever u are not clear about. That’s His purpose on the earth, to give u comfort. Else if u are reading the Bible carnally to get points for arguments on NL, then i hope u watch urself before u cross the line.
