I get your point.
But Racism is unsolvable if the stereotypes associated with Black people persist, people have been racist towards me - certainly; but have the government in the United States been oppressive towards black folks- I don't think so. The issue of affirmative action that made black folks get into universities easier than Asians who merited it is a perfect idea of systemic racism but we don't have to talk about that.

No matter how we see it - stereotypes are very important; the Polish government in 2007 enacted a law that made it extremely difficult for Black people to come into the country due to the fact that the news of black folks in Dallas who traveled to Finland to kill a gang member caught their attention.
Nigerians are temporarily banned to travel to the UAE because of the trespassing of more than six Nigerian citizens who came there to kill a rival gang member(s)
There's even more racism towards our blackselves; a friend of mine in Arkansas opened a flowery which succeeded but was shunned by black folks because it was too expensive to run by a black woman; black people kill more black people everyday;
We see black children on Tiktok acting like they're gang members, this things affect the psyche of other races when they see all this; it isn't right to generalise - that's true but shit happens. Gangs and drugs is even considered cool and 'black culture' by black people, it should be avoided.

It's crazy for Africans not to support black Americans in there fight but black Americans also have to find ways to change what is deemed their culture since it affects good black people everywhere too.

Another challenge with black people is conversations - most white people are just so afraid to talk about race with black people so they won't be deemed racists
Africam Americans have a powerful spending power than the whole of africa.

There are lot of elite black neighborhoods, universities, businesses and fraternities in America.

What you dont realise is this african Americans are more respected outside of America than Africans.

The main focus should be on Africa, when Nigeria ( the most populous black country in the world) develops and also controls its own information through the mass media, we will get respected. The only currency for respect the majority of the world understands is money.

Wow ! Tribalism having opportunities.... Hmmm
Yes, there are many Nigerians of different tribes living in various places in Nigeria.

Everyone has access to good education, no school will discriminate against you because of your tribe.

No

No bank will discriminate against you because of your tribe.

You can live in anywhere in Nigeria.

You are free to attend any religious gathering.

No hospital will discriminate against you because of your tribe

No patient will discriminate against you because of your tribe

You will get the same job opportunities in Nigeria especially when you live in big cities.

You can open a business anywhere

No business will reject you because of your tribe

Many Nigerians issue isnt tribalism but lack of opportunities due to the few available opportunities in the country.

Most of the time, it is the desperate women that get impregnated for all these type of foreigners e.g Chinese and co.

Many foreigners are going to leave at the end of the day, many of them have families back home..

Thinking they will marry you or take you to where they are coming from is a dream that will hardly come true

Try applying to top-tier government agencies in Nigeria. I am talking CBN, NIMASA, NNPC and the likes. Prepare a good CV and meet the statement of merit criteria. Attend all the interviews. At some point, you will need a god-father of some sort to make things happen. Many can relate.

In Canada, as a legal migrant (emphasis on the word "legal"wink, you can get jobs in these kind of government organizations based on merit. If you meet both basic and asset qualifications for the job, your chances are high.

I don't know about the UK or other countries.
lets be realistic, there are also thousands of people applying for the few spaces in CBN,NIMASA,NNPC and co just like you, some are also using God fathers like you, and many also have good qualification like you, what are the chances that you will get the job?

as someone wrote, the problem here in Nigeria is the lack of jobs not really tribalism. too many people are competing for the few jobs we have here in Nigeria, too many people are applying to the same parastatal, only the lucky few get it.

just go to any interview and see the number of people trying to apply for just 1 position advertised by a company.

One thing i know for sure is that, once you get into those organization, you will move up the ladder as long as you are qualified and have pass their promotion exams.

Yeah and there were laws in the past too.

Just that people did not follow them at all back then

But compared to times past, racisim has dimished. At least as a black person in say the UK, you won't get denied accomodation by a landlord so long as you got the cash to pay.
I understand that some discrimination has reduced because of laws, the Caribbean community in the Uk paved the way for other blacks, they suffered in the hands of skin heads and people shouting go back to Africa which literally increased their aggressiveness towards whites, this aggressiveness still exist today among blacks of all heritage.

btw. i was reading a statistics of uk with regards to job opportunities according to race, blacks are the bottom of the food chain in the uk, about 30% of blacks are doing low skill/low pay jobs compared to other races and this is from the official data from the uk government

No, it is to prepare you for the things you might face, so that you can be careful.

Racisim HAS diminished, but it is still there. It pays to go in prepared.

I know one older Nigerian who when he was going abroad in the 1980's...was warned about racisim in full, was told to stay safe, and was given safety tips. No one discouraged anyone...just basically be careful.
racism hasn't diminish, there are just laws that prevent people from doing it openly

XtraFortunes:
The tribalism in Nigeria is worse than the racism in America.

Like somebody said sometime ago it is better to live in an advanced country with racist than to live in an under developed country like Nigeria with tribalism

Even me I have become tribalistic as I can not be friends with a Fulani man as I see all of them as killer herdsmen now. Will you blame me? After seeing Fulani herdsmen kill, kidnap and rape people with non of them brought to justice by government.
that is not true tribalism isn't worst than racism

The moment you live the shores of Africa to a non black world, that is when will know that you are a blackman or blackwoman

Racism is worst.

Why are we black people judge as a race unlike white people who are judge individually.

How many blacks can get good jobs in UAE?

How many blacks can attend an indian owned schools in UAE?

Many blacks are use as slaves, house help and security men even if they are qualified for better position in the UAE, they are also paid very low compared to other races

You are easily judge and assume you have nothing to offer because of your skin colour

A black woman is already seen as a prostitute for been with a white or non black, she also has no access to places where white women have access to..go check Dubai

Even Orpah the black billionaire was discriminated in an European bag brand because of the colour of her skin

There was a time black people were kept in zoos

There was a time where you will be killed because you are black

Black people do not have access to loans unlike white people and are given high interest rate.

There was a time white people do not allow black people in universities

Till today, if lot of blacks pack to a white area, white flight will happen

Till today whites do not integrates with blacks, that is why in many white countries, blacks lives separately from whites.
In Brazil that has significant black population, black people are rarely given opportunity or even showed on tv

In tribalism, you still have lot of opportunities.

Do you know the trauma many blacks are facing living in spaces for other races

if something is missing, it is assume you are the one, some non black even look at blacks as having a dirty skin

explaining racism to non black people always end up with you are over reacting and it is downplayed

Do you know why many blacks are always aggressive in Europe and America, Asia and south America, it is because of racism.

$15k per month salary as a founder in Africa.

So the founder earns $180k per annum

More than 171M naira per annum in personal salary.

He earns more than some CEOs in Nigeria that have revenue of 100M per year.

Payday has no revenue but the founder receives $180k per year

In 5 years that is around $900K

Most artists own nothing except some percentage they get fom their performance. Their catalogs, youtube channels, image rights, name are all own by the record label.

Well if every allegations is true with the treatment of mohbad by naira Marley then it seems naira marley was creating another death row records in Nigeria..maybe he wanted to be Suge Knight

SportsRe: Moisés Caicedo & His Girlfriend (Before And After Pictures) by motymop: 1:17pm On Aug 20, 2023
Many Nigerian men love a grass to riches story that is why they like the idea of a woman staying with her boyfriend in rags and in riches.

In Nigeria, a woman suffering with a man in poverty is a sign that woman likes the man, if she is beautiful it is the ultimate sacrifice...this is a weird mentality.

Suffering does not always guarantee a success story, if something is not working, it is high time to move on.

Mr caicedo story is just one in a million story, it is also a story that can also put the woman future in jeopardy, now that he is rich, he can break her heart and go after women that are more beautiful than her.

Suffering doesn't guarantee loyalty.

How much is that, compared to the free PR, 10kusd, etc? With the free PR, she'd make that money in a year. She's made for life. This is the mistake our leaders have made by not encouraging French as a second language in schools since independence. I still don't know the benefit of being a member country to ecowas. This should be one of their agendas as a regional bloc...common language. This doesn't have anyrhing to do with who colonised who.

Whereas, hardly would you see a Franco fone country who doesn't understand English. There are lots of benefits in being bilingual. I used to hire a translator each time I travelled to Benin for projects cos not all of them speak yoruba. They speak French in offices. I got to France one day , wanted to buy stuffs at chatelet des halles, I couldn't speak French and the seller didnt understand English. I looked stupid lol.

By the time i got home, I had to subscribe to babel by fire by force. Now, I speak French like locals, without hiring a teacher.
Stop being emotional. No international company will give you PR status just because you return money.

The only person who praises a poor artisan is he who exploits the poor artisan.

Admittedly, everyone wants to live in a state where things are affordable, but it can also translate to poor circulation of wealth and resources. That's why in advanced societies, people pay higher taxes as their earnings increase. They pay part of this money to unemployed people because they want to deliberately circulate wealth in the country.

As far as I am concerned, there's nothing wrong with sellers, merchants and transporters increasing their fares and prices a bit. Those people have responsibilities too and have to eke out a decent living from what they do.

Tomorrow, people will still complain that northerners in the South don't rent houses, but we enjoy paying them #20 for fares of #300 because we can speak their language. We should stop recycling poverty. There's nothing noble about living on the breadline

People need to know this fact....

Angelfrost
so how has 100% increase in goods and services help in circulating wealth in the south?

We saw videos of people treking because of the increase in the cost of transportation in some part of lagos

1000% increase in price of transportation cause by greed is one of the causes of inflation and also poverty.

imagine paying *10 for just a very short distance, isnt that greed, people will get more poorer if they use more than half of their income on transportation

No coup is organic, all coups in Africa have been organized from outside.

if the people despised the president then they are the ones who should take power not military men

The fact that military men are in power shows that the coup was sponsored

since Afriq is built on the blockchain, then all transactions will be on the blockchain

what happened is the the liquidity pool wasnt locked, so the dev drained the liquidity

now, the real truth is that Afriq Arbitrage System is a ponzi scheme

The founder is acting like a righteous man, deceiving people there grin

what is the founder isnt telling people is that Afriq Arbitrage System itself is not registered with the Nigerian security commission thus making it an illegal entity transacting securities
