I coulda called you names, davidylan, for foraying where you are not invited. What I said has nothing to do with either you or any forumite except Abuzola whom I directed my words to. Why can't you do things thoughtfully? Re-read my post--where you are interested to know I talked in English while where you are NOT I talked in Hausa. And the it was because I know Abuzola speaks the language. BTW, forum should provide a facility where members can talk PRIVATELY, wallahi. This thoughtless interference by these people is getting freaking sick. Once Noetic2 did it, and now davidylan. O! |

Abuzola: Daughters inlaw of Muhammad yusuf the boko haram leader have appealed to Musa Yar'adua to probe and give them good reason why their brothers were assasinated despite not belonging to the cult of Boko haram. All the males are missing, some reportedly dead while the fate of the others is yet to be ascertain. Only the daughters are alive. Speaking to VOA HAUSA SERVICE they appeal to Yar'adua to do something, their only house was bulldoze aftermath the capture of Yusuf. I heard this story too on VOA Hausa. Very pitiful. @Abuzola, Ya zamui magana ne? Ga lambar da zaka iya aiko mini text na taka lambar: 08029379437 Bana amfani da wannan layin sosai. MTN and Starcomms nake amfani da. Christianity Etc › Re: What Is Allah's Opinion On Smoking And Drugs? by muhsin(m): 1:22pm On Aug 11, 2009 |
My reply is gonna be based on two things: First one book I read sometimes in the past titled Why Do You Smoke? And The Islamic Ruling on Smoking.
Cigarette smoking first came to light in the Islamic States towards the end of the hundred and tenth year of hijrah. The first people to import it were the European Christians [Ali Hassan Ali Abdul Hameed (2006)]. This means that cigarette smoking did not exist during the time of the Prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings be upon him), but the great religion of Islam has laid down general principles from which many laws are derived.
Many Muslims scholars with the capability of Ijtihad (deriving verdicts in new situations) issued several Fatwas. All but two of these fatwas make smoking strictly forbidden, while the other two say it ranges between strongly reprehensible, i.e. makrooh, and forbidden. Many other scholars have subscribed to these fatwas and the number is always increasing. No scholar has ever revised his ruling of prohibition on smoking, while many who used to be reluctant to issue such a ruling found it necessary to change their mind when they knew the full extent of the danger tobacco smoke causes to the health of the smoker and those who are in close proximity to him.
Its reported in a popular hadeeth the Prophet (p.b.u.h) saying: “Halaal and haraam are evident and between them (halaal and haraam) are doubtful things which many people are unaware of”.
Thus we can see glaringly obvious that which is halal is beneficial and that which is haram is harmful. Which can you categorize cigarette as? Harmful, of course. Right?
Will write more, inshaAllah, later. |

Assalamu alaikum,
'Abdullah reported: I asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him): Which sin is the gravest in the eye of Allah? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: That you associate a partner with Allah (despite the fact) that He has created you. He (the reporter) said: I told him (the, Holy Prophet): Verily it is indeed grave. He (the reporter) said: I asked him what the next (gravest sin) was. He (the Holy Prophet) replied: That you kill your child out of fear that he shall join you in food. He (the reporter) said: I asked (him) what the next (gravest sin) was. He (the Holy Prophet) observed: Then (the next gravest sin) is that you commit adultery with the wife of your neighbour.

N101: The Nation of Islam is not the same as normal Islam. It is very Afrocentric (occasionally racist) and excludes many of the teachings of Islam.
I could go into detail but it would take ages. Just talk to one of them and you will find out you're speaking of Islam on very different levels if at all. Correct. Very good advice. |

OLAADEGBU: True muslims and Christians are faithful to their faiths. You can only know a true muslim or Christian by observing who among them abide by their founder's instructions. Jesus Christ is the Lord of Christians and they follow His instructions. True Muslims also strictly abide by their role model, Lord and prophet, Mohammad. So don't be surprised when their followers adopt their role model's example which will obviously lead them to two opposing destinations.
MOHAMMED VS CHRIST
[li]Mohammed was the prophet of war; Christ is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6-7). [/li]

[li]Mohammed's disciples killed for the faith; Christ's disciples were killed for their faith (Acts 12:2; 2 Tim. 4:7).[/li]

[li]Mohammed promoted persecution against the "infidels"; Christ forgave and converted the chief persecutor (1 Tim. 1:13-15).[/li]

[li]Mohammed was the taker of life; Christ is the giver of life (John 10:27-28).[/li]

[li]Mohammed and his fellow warriors murdered thousands; Christ murdered none but saved many (John 12:48).[/li]

[li]Mohammed’s method was COMPULSION; Christ’s aim was CONVERSION (Acts 3:19). [/li]

[li]Mohammed practiced FORCE; Christ preached FAITH (John 6:29, 35).[/li]

[li]Mohammed was a WARRIOR; Christ is a DELIVERER (Col. 1:13; 1 Thess. 1:10).[/li]

[li]Mohammed said to the masses, "Convert or die!"; Christ said, "Believe and live!" (John 6:47; 11:25-26).[/li]

[li]Mohammed was swift to shed blood (Rom. 3:15-17); Christ shed His own blood for the salvation of many (Eph. 1:7). [/li]

[li]Mohammed preached "Death to the infidels!"; Christ prayed "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).[/li]

[li]Mohammed declared a holy war (Jihad) against infidels; Christ achieved a holy victory on Calvary's cross (Col. 2:14-15) and His followers share in that victory (John 16:33).[/li]

[li]Mohammed constrained people by conquest; Christ constrained people by love (2 Cor. 5:14).[/li]

[li]Modern terrorists derive their inspiration from Mohammed and carry out their despicable atrocities in the name of his god; Christians derive their inspiration from the One who said, "Blessed are the peacemakers" (Matthew 5:9).[/li]

[li]Modern day disciples of Mohammed respond to the terrorist attacks by cheering in the streets; modern day disciples of Christ are deeply grieved at past atrocities carried out by those who were "Christians" in name only (the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, etc.).[/li]

[li]Many Muslims are peaceful and peace-loving because they do not strictly follow the teachings of their founder; many Christians are peaceful and peace-loving because they do strictly follow the teachings of their Founder (Rom. 12:17-21).[/li]

[li]Mohammed called upon his servants to fight; Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world; if My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight . . . but now is My kingdom not from here" (John 18:36)[/li]

[li]Mohammed ordered death to the Jews (see A.Guillaume, The Life of Muhammad, Oxford University Press [1975], p. 369); Christ ordered that the Gospel be preached "to the Jew first" (Rom. 1:16). [/li]

[li]The Qur'an says, "Fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them" (Qu'ran 9.5); Christ said, "Preach the Gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). [/li]

[li]Mohammed's mission was to conquer the world for Allah; Christ's mission was to conquer sin's penalty and power by substitutionary atonement (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Pet. 3:18).[/li]

[li]Mohammed claimed that there was but one God, Allah; Christ claimed that He was God (John 10:30-31; John 8:58-59; John 5:18; John 14:9). [/li]

[li]Mohammed's Tomb: OCCUPIED! Christ's tomb: EMPTY! ” [/li]
No creativity, no authenticity, no anything. Just copy and paste. And this very trash-deserving post has been tackled, I can vividly remember, sometime in the past by the fellow Muslims. So stop rambling. No2Atheism: Mushin stop being melodramatic and stop lying that i did something which i did not do (assuming off course you meant that i was insulting people on this thread and not that i was insulting allah and mohammed).
1. I have not used a personal attack or insult on anyone on this thread so your allegation is false. Personally insulting people on nairaland is not my thing.
2. Yes i have insulted and would continue to insult Allah and Mohammed because they are nothing but a demon and a mad man respectively.
Once again i repeat,
Did Allah instruct muslims to kill non-muslims - YES Did Mohammed also kill non-muslims - YES Did Boko Haram do wat Allah instructed - YES How did they do it - By beheading the 3 pastors that refused to convert to islam Was the beheading of the pastors motivated by religion - YES Does that mean the pastors were killed because of islam and in support of islam - YES Are Boko Haram muslims - YES
So what does that make Allah - A blood sucking Moon god with 3 daugthers So what does that make Mohammed - An hypocritical Maniac peadophile that kills at the drop of the hat.
OK. You don't insult anyone but you insult, sooo explicitly and unrepentfully, his God and beloved Prophet. Right? Isn't this worst than insulting that person? At least to me, it is. So please behave your age. Act rationally, reasonably and as a sane person. Further still, no Muslim can ever say these words to your "Christian conception of God(s)". Please keep the discussion civil. Thanks |
