This was something a lot of tweeps wanted an answer to during the last media chat but I don't know, the presenters never asked him. I've lost count of the committees! At the same media chat, GEJ was asked a question about education and he mentioned setting up a committee to look into the education sector. Dunno what Prof. Rufai must have been thinking. We must not forget the PTF that looked into our football affairs after SA 2010 - they recommended something, the president went for one thing then he came back to another thing according to him, "after much pressure from Nigerians". I don't know if they've been dissolved yet. Similarly, when the Super Eagles trained at the Abuja stadium some months ago, the president was not pleased with the terrible state of the stadium. He was actually there on that visit with the Sports' Minister and to my 'amazement', I watched GEJ saying he'll set up a committee to look into why the stadium was in that state. Since this event, I've got no more evidence than to agree with the point of INDECISIVENESS. |
Misrepresentation biases I see here. How people use a sample to represent a population with 100% significance level is amazing!!! sfactor: @Seun Osewa. seriously watch it. I advice you to stop these religious bigots from using this forum as a means of expressing their myopic and biased view. A thread like this should never make front page.^^^Thank you. Misrepresentation biases I see here. How people use a sample to represent a population with 100% significance level is amazing!!! |
^^^As long as it won't hinder your studying and preparations whilst working, you are good to go. Not e'one started in the accounting & finance but you'll be encouraged to move to finance-related as time goes on. |
I'd give it to Akinwiunmi Adesina, the other choices had -ishes for me or the other during the past year to tarnish their 'white cards'. |
jmoore: The journalists are not really helping matters in the way they report their news.Exactly. They only seem to care about reckless headlines. Well, na the same Nigeria wey wan paper trace ALUU4 to BH. Smh |
Shey na you dem dey call lazy future leaders? ![]() dominique: Was that epistle necessary? The whole thing could have been summed up to two or three tidy sentences.Well, just like sometimes when some of us who read newspapers religiously, scan it at the times we are busy, the best the OP could have done for those who just wanna scan this is to highlight the major points! Well, not e'one can be satisfied!!! |
^^^Read the constitution first. UMYA would have been president by now. Quit conspiracy theories. |
Strong indications emerged yesterday suggesting that the wife of the late governor of Kaduna State, Mrs Amina Elizabeth Yakowa, could emerge the deputy governor of the state following the death of her husband in a helicopter crash on Saturday. The plan to tap Amina as the deputy to the newly sworn-in governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, is being championed by northern governors across party divide, top northern politicians and governors from other regions of the country with the aim of sustaining Yekowa’s legacies.
So, "northern governors across party divide, top northern politicians and governors from other regions" now represent the people of Kaduna state eh? The things we see in Nigeria. We only pretend like we really wanna follow any constitution. Moreover, not being disrespectful, these offiices were created with a view of the indispensability of man. It's the institutions that matter, not the men. That's the more reason we have deputy governors, speakers etc. |
Am afraid the internet now provides us with rumors and imaginations as actual events. The same helicopter NEMA was having difficulties finding is the one eyewitnesses have given accounts of. Someone posts unverifiable news and just because it has a link, it has become news eh? Nigerians are very lazy and are very fast to rush to conclusions. Someone in Abuja is telling us "right here in Kaduna, a man called in and bla bla bla". #MischiefMakers It is the same way a local paper attributed the ALUU4 to BH!!! If you accept everything given to you without taking time to probe, you may just find an obituary of yourself published even before you're dead. |
Someone is shaking his or her head where it is not needed. Anyway, experience is the best teacher. Whether you like it or not, somethings are acceptable or not as 'codes of conduct'. It is largely seen as irresponsible and perhaps, experience would be the best teacher to some of us. By the term 'office', it is safe to assume we know the kinda industries the OP is referring to. |
Dorcas Karuana: 10. Format- Having tables with columns on the CVDepends on your organisation. I actually have one with 'invisible' tables. It's all up to the way you use the editor to make it presentable. |
2legit2qwt: By including your picture, you're unknowingly answering some questions employers want to know but can't ask due to its illegality.I like the way you put this! |
What make these people different from those NLers we assume have some literacy level that come here to tell us that a Muslim can never rule any South Eastern state? Oh, I went far there. They even mention that such people don't exist and are at best, foreigners! If you have a problem with any Abdul Rahman being the governor of Ebonyi, Imo, Abia or maybe Anambra or Enugu (if you like spit and say tufiakwa) then don't hide under democracy or what have you to pretend like you are any better. Some people are just hypocrites acting like they are righteous. They harbor so much hate towards others. If only man could see how wicked their thoughts were. Just as some choose when it is convenient to make Muttalab as a representative of a religion, they know when it is right to discard an Andre Breivik as not representing a belief. This country has suffered from bad leadership, followership and individual despicable practices contrary to the moral values, religious teachings et al that people consistently look for the wrong reasons to 'hope' on a leader. What amazes me is how people accept anything that is thrown out there without care to investigate. To confirm that the whole of Kaduna was agog, at least this must occur in at least, half of the LGs in Kaduna to give a fair representation of the population sample. The reporters must be able to confirm these happened or have reliable sources in different places across Kd. What is disgusting is when someone thinks statistics can be thrown out without being examined. Yesterday, they said Kd is split between christian and muslims, today they find it convenient to switch to the fact that Kd is now muslim-dominated to prove a point that the governor's death was good news. When 2 girls the other day were protesting against the anti-gay bill, how come it wasn't represented as Nigerians? Mssccheewww No one should miscontrue my post as support to anyone for if Nigerians followed their religious doctrines, we won't be having it bad as we presently do. |
^^^ Hasty conclusions. The Glo I use doesn't give details, never did I write for other subscribers. You make it look like you are into one marketing drive or something. |
I do. The manufacturer wasn't stupid and didn't think it was a stupid thing to do. Definitely, sometimes, I just scan through but it is better to be safe. |
Degree not to earn instead: Computer Science You 'll learn much more online! |
Ibadan ain't Ogbomoso anyway, but both are in Oyo IBADAN COLLECTIVE COLLEGE OF ACCOUNTANCY LTD - CCA 1, Laditi Street, Benjamin B/Stop, P.O Box 20490, U.I Post Office, Eleyeye Ibadan, 20001, Nigeria. 23454064004 registrar@collectivecollege.com There are 'capability' and 'ability' factors to be considered before setting up centres in other states unlike Lasgidi, FCT, PH etc |
The examples thingy is correct. All the same, my reaction to the OP's post was "everyone ends up using Thesaurus to arrive at the same words". |
MyJwell: it depends...how old are you?...if you are a man and below 35...pls go for your studies and thereafter, get yourself a good job to be properly equipped for marriage. Getting married entails a whole lot of responsibilities that requires you to have a good source of income. The 35 years benchmark seems subjective. Whatever the age, as long as you're ready for responsibilities, you are good to go. |
Being that you have a good mix of young adults and adults in tuition centres, I'd recommend you 'while away time' registering for the ICAN/ATS. It is almost like a university setting i.e. the classes so before you gain admission, you have a better idea and focus of what you wanna do and where you're heading to - some of your age mates would probably have not this edge until maybe 200 or 300 level. My dear, make the best use of your youth! |

Nowadays, you have Samsung Mobile reps at some stores e.g in Slot's outlet. These people direct you to their offices or colleagues. At Obalende, when you get to Kam Salem House, it is just the building oppossite it. |
Glo hasn't. I have noticed that Airtel now goes a step forward to give details about the calls I make - duration and total costs. Good |
^^^Shey him tell you say him be the 'couple'? Abi you nor dey read well? ![]() |
There are, dem boku sef but your recommendation is the SAFEST if one wants TBH with him. |
puplin: Until they find out and block the access...why una dey discuss am in public forums sefAirtel apparently knows about this and they are less bothered until otherwise proven. They seem to be more interested in the fact that people are at least paying them, not FBTing them off their revenue. |
ogihpeter: Can somebody advice me, ACCA confirmed I ve 4yrs (June 2017) left to qualify before I will b deregistered finally. I ve done my HND in acctg. Can I qualify wit dis 4yrs time frame. Starting from F5.Yes. Even if you take 2 papers by diet starting from next year, you'd finish by '15. |
I stopped reading Vanguard a long time as such unfounded stories help their FB page and website. True, I've learnt to be sane to avoid such threads - my fear however is the perpetual ignorance of these youths on NL who are too lazy to seive the wheat from the chaff. People need to learn how to use their brain to analyze information from the media. This is the same Maiduguri where most southern-based Nigerian newspapers don't bother to visit but source stories cos of their staff. What the report the OP posted is stastically called 'Data mining bias' - an attempt to draw lines to connect with each other in any lucky way. |
nnalove: Wat of ajuwaya palsYou know the military guys are fond of 'militiarising' English words - Ajuwaya means "As you were" but they coined it into "ajuwaya". It's the same way they say some nonsensical stuff during parade - if you ask them, they'll tell you the actual English word(s) (ie. for those of them who know sha) |
I guessed as much. That's why I wrote "future reference" for those who may 'StumbleUpon' this topic. |
Jasiel: Actually, I don't know where the ministry is in lagos. If I did I would go there asap. For future references: Federal Ministry of Finance Lagos Liaison Office Ministry of Works Building, Glass House, former National Assembly Complex, Tafawa Balewa Square, RM.B. 12591, Lagos Tel: (01) 6576627, 6638479 http://www.fmf.gov.ng/ There are liaison offices in each state - that's why it's a FEDERAL ministry! This is one thing that baffles me about our government agencies - minimal/no availability online. It needs to be continuously drummed into their 'ears' to change this attitude. An e-mail too should do. If they don't respond or deny you your FOI, report to SERVICOM - na wetin OBJ set am up for be dat. ![]() |
AjanleKoko: Last year MTN recorded negative gross additions, i.e. they lost more subscribers through churn than they got through new connections. On the contrary, I expect something different. It's good you mentioned the marketing strategy used to lure lost + gain new customers. It reminds us of the way Glo broke in and how Etisalat used the same strategy tirelessly to break into a saturated market. So if MTN has no promo or service better than others, people go migrate. Nigerians I know like awoof o but they also desire service - if any network throws both cards effectively, fellas go use them. Just like some youths bought Glo sim cards when they brought down BIS, the Nigerian consumer will continue to buy sim cards for whatever satisfying purpose s/he needs them for. |
