Have you called 131 or 111? |
Did you check your account balance after loading? I've got a similar message before when I loaded NGN500 too but my credit balalnce reflected the amount on the scratch card. Caveat - Etisalat requires you to wait for an average of 20mins before they pick up your call. Sorry lot |
This is no much of news! |
Trust me dear, airtel is the best option. It's not the fastest but it's the only network you can use BIS plan for other smartphones apart from BB. N1200 for 1g of data. Just send BSM to 440. Hope this helps...
True. Especially if you're not a massive internet user, this is appropriate to keep the tab running. |
You don't even know the background of who you're responding to before you start making assumptions. SMH Go out there ko, 'enter the place ni'. There's a clear difference between internal recruitment and external recruitment. |
zaakyng: Get additional certificate makes ur cv move out of a virgin cv level and an advance level and moreover i can recommend HSE for anyone around me because am also planning of doing my by dec.so if u can get it try an get it so dat even if it will not make sense now but later in future it will make sense as additional advantage.what make s the diff in have degree is the additional advantage u are able to get.You would recommend it because you plan doing it It's not everyone who has interest in the 2. Anyway, discussions here should provide some of the OP's answers -https://www.nairaland.com/148/project-management https://www.nairaland.com/158291/project-management-pmp-prince-2 https://www.nairaland.com/190295/hse-professionals-house/1 |
^^^ Also, the accountant ought to at least obtain details of this transaction especially now that you know the director was responsible. Except he's kept this secret, this is something you can enquire to know which account to debit. |
As a ICAN's last advert, these are exam fees only!
|
pluto04: If I'm 42 and I have all your degrees, I definitely will not consider NPF, SSS, etc job as a regular staff but probably as a contracted consultant.Excellent! |
I have followed the conersations on this thread and would like to know where the poster has gotten to in terms of this. There are untapped 'opportunities' here that we the citizens sometimes need to open up. Have you thought of liasing with a lawmaker as to sponsoring a bill on this as we lack adequate legislation? It was not quite long that the senate permitted electronic evidences in court cases, so we can start from somewhere. The anti-corruption agencies badly need these services. |
Your promiscuity will certainly get notcied by employers but depending on your position, aside continuously developing yourself professionally, it's also your duty to bring it to the attention of your company, latest trends and developments to keep pace with competitors - it's not always what you can obtain from them but the value you can add in the value-chain. |
It's 36 days to go for the Dec 2012 LI diet. |
Bludeville: Your story doesnt exactly check out. If he really made a first class and wants to lecture that is very easy, he should simply apply for a graduate assisstant position in his alma mater, and whilst lecturing as a graduate assistant, he can continue pursuing his postgraduate degree. Because I know several universities offer semi automatic employment to first class graduates, even 2-1 holders sometimes find it relatively easy. What school did he graduate from?Same here. Not to sound ***^^** but am wondering why it's the friend who's asking for the 1st class dude ![]() There seems to be conflicts in ~ He made a first class in agronomy but needs a job. ~ He wants to lecture because thats what he loves to do. ~ He plans going for his masters but needs to work first. Let him go with the 2nd and like others have mentioned, graduating with a first class is like a job ticket waiting for you from your University. @Wise-old-man's words are well written for your case. |
^^^ How did you get yourself there in the first place? You nefa search well well. Every country has its risk areas. Funny, if you ask some European who only hears about MEND/BH/Subsidy, I guess the answer will be in the negative. |
employees might be unaware that the company offers professional and confidential counseling service. In Nigeria, this part is debatable. Someone will ask, does my company really do this? Not a lot of companies even care about your mental being - the interest is in meeting targets! |
There's a reason why the benchmark of success has not been lowered - the consequences are too diasadvantageous even when you're helped to scale through. It's better to have something to show for in 8 years than to have nothing to show for. Moreover, this lady has not revealed other factors that have militated against her obtaining the degree except the 'time period' factor and freinds' pace. If you don't know the reason you've failed, you might have well not learnt the way to succeed. Don't let us start to mention those who spent a decade not because they did not pass but due to ASUU strikes, school -ish etc. Woman, go skul and come out with a law degree jare. |
What makes you forget that there are blue collared workers who get big contracts in a day that are equivalent to the salary of a white-collared worker in a month? Also, the former can be having jobs that are not even up to 1/4 of the latter's monthly pay. It all depends on how we manage our cash flows. If it's certain to come at a specific period consistently, we plan better but nevertheless, when we get money initially, we are 'on top of the world' till we've almost spent e'thing, then we remember where we were coming from ![]() So, we still end up with the personality of the individual! |
The deal is this - cover letters are like 'orally toasting' your prospective employers. It tells the prospective employer what you have done and what you can do. Sometimes, it can contain the former, but of course the latter (what you can do for the employer) is the 'koko'. These days, we all send our CVs via e-mail as attachments but you can actually make the body of the e-mail the content of your letter. To be on the safe side, it is better to write a cover letter and attach it, then copy and paste it to the body of the email - in such a case, you're on the safe side as the company as a copy of the attachment even if they don't read the mail. Whether it is requested or not, some individuals send it along with their CV as a norm. There are two cases I will address - 1. When you're applying for an already advertised job. The title of the letter will be 'RE: VACANCY FOR SHOPKEEPER' for a hypothetical shopkeeper advert. 2. When you're sending an unsolicited application. The title of the leeter will be 'APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF SHOPKEEPER'. If you know the head of the company's HR, you can include such a person's name. If you're not sure, it doesn't take you much to pick up your phone and call them. Better still, this information can be on the company's website. For an advertised position, you already know who you're addressing. To be on the safe side, ensure the content of the letter is brief - no dillydallying or super stories, it's straight to the point. So, in this hypothetical case, let me fashion out a prototype - 6, Apo Junction, Wada Plaza, Abuja. The Head of Human Resources, 206, Olusegun Obasanjo Drive, Abeokuta. Dear Ma, RE: VACANCY FOR SHOPKEEPER I write to you to indicate my interest in the position of shopkeeper as advertised on Thursday, October 12, 2012 on Page 12 of 234Next newspaper. I have worked as a shop assistant to Messrs Big Joe for 2 years and learnt the procedures in organising and maintaining the daily activities of the store. Aside meeting the qualifications and having worked previously as a shop assistant, my research on the organisation's objectives and values tally with my career ambitions and personal ethos respectively. I look forward to your response. Regards. Yours faithfully, (Sign) Akpos Awilo. A little English lesson here - when the recipient is unknown, we use Dear Sir/Ma + Yours faithfully as in this case. If the recipient's name is known, we use Dear Mr/Mrs Patience + Yours sincerely So there you go, the first section of my letter revealed why am writing, the second revealed what I've done before and the last revealed why I feel I merit the job (or motivation) or why I should be considered. Ensure you proof-read for mistakes. |
Let @afam4eva come and write this after December and let's see if it's Arsenal that'll 'be at the top'. Your beef no go make Gala sef. Worst am seeing in Ukraine is a draw. 'One Di Matteo'. |
It all depends on the personality involved. It doesn't really matter if it's a white collar employee or an entrepreneur.
I concur. You know what they say when they say POWER INTOXICATES. Blue or white-collared, the personality (especially humility) calls you back when you're straying into the land of wastefulness. |
deenee: There is a debate going on currently at Harvard Business School on the economic value of education and the benefits of the alternatives forgone herein. Education is good no doubt even to Phd level but does ot make one a better individual? This is for every degree - even BSc in Nigeria. The import of the degree is usually skewed to translate into ecomonic success. While bread must be buttered, individuals have different indices of contentment but living conditions and irresponsibilities of govts have led to having more responsibilities financially when you advance educationally. Like the last poster mentioned, PhD is like the passion of a writer - it never dies until the ink does it work. |
afam4eva: I really doubt if Chelsea can make any progress this season. They should just pray that they finish at the top half of the table. That was such a good joke. ![]() |
Chelsea vs Tottenham Mata re-eneacted his last season's class - and better still. The expression on AVB's face after the 3rd goal was ![]() Then the insult, Sturridge's calmness - he didn't initially celebrate to make Tottenham look like a Conference team. Heheheh Not done, it was this "It was 4-2 and there was no coming back for AVB's men as the Chelsea fans sang 'Andre, Andre what's the score,' before turning their attention to the present regime and a hearty 'One Di Matteo'." The next 4 fixtures are the biggest determinant IMO to the title race cos 3/4 are big points for the title race. |
Personally, this is the opinion I share - Obinoscopy: This is very wrong! Performance should be 50% while promotional exams should be 50%. This is because the former is subjective while the later is objective. |
From 2013, promotions in the federal civil service will no longer be based on examinations. Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, made this known while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Wednesday. Maku said the Federal Civil Service Commission in partnership with states civil service commissions had formally adopted a proposal to use the performance contract system introduced recently by the Federal Government as the basis for career promotions. He said the decision formed part of the report of the last Federal Civil Service Commission’s annual conference which was presented to the FEC. According to him, five ministries have been earmarked for the pilot scheme in 2013. He said, “This indeed was presented to us and the commission is proposing that by 2013, five MDAs – namely Ministries of Education, Agriculture, Health, Finance and Works will be adopted as pilot MDAs to introduce the new system of promotion based on performance. “Previously, promotion in the civil service has always been through the regular civil service examinations that are written by civil servants. “In view of the introduction of the performance contract systems into the MDAs, the Federal Civil Service Commission is now considering the possibility of using performance measure which is the essence of this contract system as a basis for promotions.” Maku added that rather than conducting examinations for top civil servants like directors, they would wait on the outcome of performance measurement which would be conducted on MDAs basis to determine if the directors have delivered on their mandates. The basis of that measurement, he added, would form the fulcrum on which their promotion would be based. The minister explained that promotion in the new system would be based on the result of the work they do as measured by the satisfaction of members of the public. http://www.punchng.com/news/civil-service-promotion-exams-to-be-abolished-2013/ --------------------------------------------------- This topic is on the politics section but am looking at the CAREERS perspective. Performance measurement has always been an important issue but it seems the FG wants our civil servants to achieve results by ALL MEANS possible to progress. |
Visit their website cos just last week, they advertised an event where the registration was free. |
It's an IT company located at Obafemi Awolowo, Ikeja (just at the roundabout). They are in the same category as Karrox, NIIT etc providing courses, certifications etc. Check them up on their website - |
You have to recognize how time changes Oga. There was a time ACN (AD) was the only surviving party in the SW, now they're 5 and talking of South west integration. The Tinubu of that time, even OBJ admired his doggedness, the Tinubu of today is widely seen as a revenue collecting pseudo-agency. Ondo state is a very big state. After Lagos, they receive the 2nd highest allocation in the South West. You have to remember why Lagos is a commercial nerve centre of the state that even PDP is always wary of toying with. on't forget the population in the state as compared to other states. When put in a difficult situation, Tinubu banked on the mass corporate sector of the state to generate revenue. Ondo does not have as much corporate establishments as Lagos, so if they had issues with FG, perhaps it's only farming the state may rely on. If all SW states had mass infrastrucute like Lagos, most people would not even stress themselves living in a city like Lagos. Just to sum up your viewpoint, Tinubu of today, no matter how much the party thinks otherwise is not a South West AWOLOWO. |
We are writing based on what you have written here. Ondo town is not ONDO state - just the same way I cannot sit down in Akure and write about the state. Am writing based on what I know and places I've been to in the state and I was actively involved in this election that just ended. Someone has rightly mentioned the deal - Mimiko employed his grassroots campaign very well. Politics is a dirty game - all these candidates, what I mentioned was that the BEST WORST is what voters are voting for cos these are the choices available. You also have to remember that elections are not determined in just one LGA - it's everywhere! The Tinubu you are mentioning, when people start to mention the annoying (the safest word I can use), na anothef thing you go talk. ACN cannot continue to claim that they are democratic while their nomination processes are via selections. This is the same party that made so much noise about PDP and godfatherism in OBJ years, yet Tinubu was speaking at the Oja Oba rally and modifying what godfatherism is. Me I don't send anyone, na based on merits or demerits of a case, I dey write on. Whatever the case, it is wrong for you to make those analogies of popluarity contest of Tinubu/Fashola vs Mimiko in Ondo state - it even seems you've forgotten that it's BRF's personality that seemed to calm people down in 2007 when Tinubu had opposition to his handpicking. |
^^^ gentleman, some things are better experienced than imagined. Don't use the visitor's eye to view the house-owners' house cos what you think you see may be deceiving you. ". . . the first place or Borofice that know more about Ondo politics omo Mimiko wont find it easy ooo." Like the earlier poster said, this is where it's better not to believe e'thing you read but to have either first-hand experience or a very reliable account. |
Lemme tell you something @bashy_demy Inasmuch as strong party presence and structure are important, Nigerians still largely vote personalities. Mimiko did his homework well cos we all know financially, LP ain't got much clout - some even allege Mimiko used state funds for his campaigns but you'd see who got more money during campaigns. Mimiko is widely known in Ondo, the same for Oke but Akeredolu is actually seen as Tinubu's stooge and for the elites in the state, he did not display adequate knowledge of the state during the debate unlike Oke and Mimiko. Oke is also banking on PDP laying themselves a stronghold in the state after Agagu's tenure in the state for 6 years. Oke is okay but it seems citizens want more than OKAY. If not for some voters who were not properly enlightened on how to thumbprint on the ballot papers, those votes the RO announced for PDC were actually for PDP. Similarly, most votes for ACPN were for ACN. #Mushroom parties and their wahalas. Mimiko's + is his closeness to the people (grassroots) even as I attack him for not having LG chairmen. I'd always said it that the election was between Oke and Mimiko especially after the debate. |
