At he end of the day while I would prefer a Fashola any day , i believe there's a place for God factor in everything.
If Osinbajo us more favored by God, then I would hope Tinubu would set aside his personal ambition and present Osinbajo as the next APC presidential candidate for Nigeria presidency.

All those churches are ignorant of God's word. Apostolic Faith do believe that only those who spoke in tongues are the ones baptized by the spirit which made many struggle to speak too. From these verses we can conclude that speaking in tongues is vital to living a successful Christian life.

However it doesn't in any way say a non-tongue speaking Christian is not a Christian.

The parable of wheat and tares is quite interesting.

Of course you won't appreciate it until you understand the parable of the seed sower which precedes it.

In summary, the Seed sower is God.
Of course the seed being planted is Christ.
The process of seed sowing being discipleship- following Christ in word and spirit.

Then the different soils are representative of the different states of the human heart receiving the word and being discipled.

While the other hearts can't sustain the seed well, it takes the Good seed falling on a good soil to be able to bear much fruits (wheat).
The wheat being the Christian.

A good soil by the way is one without hardness, without distractions, without cares of the world, etc.

That is the prologue to the parable of the wheat and tares.

Now the wheat that was produced is now a part of the world where the enemy has sown tares.

Technically according to the parable of the seed sower, we can see that only the good heart without hardness, without distractions, without cares of the world can survive the tares.

Would it have been better if like the laborers (angels) suggested, to uproot the tares so that more wheats can survive?

1 Timothy 3:16 - The Greek word for “godliness”, “eusebeia”, has the literal meaning of “good worship”. “Eu” means good or well, and “sebomai” is “worship, to pay homage, or venerate”.
Godliness is not a work but something you exercise yourself unto.
The verse below is about Jesus. When you are engaged with Jesus and the redemptive truths of the Gospel, that is exercising yourself unto godliness.

“Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.” (1 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

1 Timothy 4:13-15 - Give attention to reading and meditating on God’s word. Then, your profiting will be visible to all people and in all things.

“Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.” (I Timothy‬ ‭4:13-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

1 Timothy‬ ‭4:16‬ - When you meditate on God’s word, you will be saved from troubles, from diseases, from poverty, etc.
This “save” in the passage is not talking about salvation from Hell since it is addressed to Timothy—a believer who is already saved.

“Pay attention to yourself, and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” (1 Timothy‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Meditating on God’s word is exercising yourself towards godliness which profits you in all things

1 Corinthians 12:31a - Have an intense longing for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be manifested through you.

“But earnestly desire the best gifts.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:31‬a WEB‬‬)

Hebrews 5:12a - Every believer can teach God’s word, but there is also the office of a “teacher” in the fivefold ministry who has a greater anointing in the area of teaching.

“For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.” (Hebrews‬ ‭5:12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Psalm 39:3 - Teach something that your heart is burning with passion for—this is from the Holy Spirit.
When you meditate on God’s word, your heart will burn when it receives the revelation of a piece of Scripture.
Meditation is the art of silent contemplation that many people have forsaken nowadays in exchange for amusement.
Amusement means you're allowing others to do the thinking for you, to be creative for you, and you are just experiencing it.
When you spend time "musing", pondering God's word in silence, creative ideas will come to you.

Joshua 1:8 - The Hebrew word for meditate is “hagah” which means to mutter. To meditate means to mutter with your mouth the Scriptures that you are thinking about.

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.” (Joshua‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

There is a condition that scientists observed called “anhedonia” which means the inability to experience pleasure.
Many people are always seeking to be entertained and their flesh is so jaded that they can’t even enjoy pleasure anymore.

Be free from the bondage to social media. You can use it as a tool, but don’t let it hold you captive.

Social media companies hire people called “attention engineers” who adopt principles from casinos to keep people addicted to their product.

1 Corinthians 6:12 - It is okay to use social media but don’t be brought under its power. When you are addicted, you are under its power.

Ever since social media was invented, there was an explosion of anxiety disorders in school children who are engaged in it.

The Lord’s ways are simple. Only one thing is needed.
The word translated as “anxious” in the Greek is “merinao” which means to be drawn in different directions.
Nowadays, people crave the dopamine release of using social media.
When the Lord comes to your house, it’s not so that you can serve Him. He wants you to receive from Him—He is so full of all supply, so just take from Him first.
That is having a good opinion of Him and treating Him as God who lacks nothing.

She had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up to him, and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.” Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is needed. Matthew 6:25 - The word “anxious” in the verse below is also “merinao” in Greek. The solution to being drawn in different directions is meditating on God’s word.
Have you seen a cow chewing the cud before? It chews, swallows, regurgitates, and then chews the cud again.
As you meditate on God’s word like a cow chews on its food, you will be nourished by it.

“Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” (Matthew‬ ‭6:25‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Hebrews 4:12 - God’s word is alive and it is so powerful, able to benefit us.
When you spend time in God’s word, you are able to discern between your own thoughts from your soul, and God’s thoughts from within your spirit.
The “marrow” is responsible for producing cells that strengthen your immune system. God’s word revitalizes you physically.

“For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Matthew 4:3 - God’s word is life to you, and to all your flesh.

“But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” (Matthew‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Proverbs 4:20-22 - The Septuagint says that the word “attend to” is the same word as “give attention to” in 1 Timothy 4:13.
Meditating on God’s word is health to your whole body.

The devil wants you to be distracted from God’s word. When you have moments of boredom, bring up God’s word and meditate on it.
Switch all the distractions off and have something detoxing moments to break the power of these addictions (such as social media) from your life.
Pick up hobbies such a playing the guitar which are not related to screen time.

Psalm 27:4 - The one thing needful is to behold the beauty of the Lord in His word.
If there is a specific manifestation you desire, search for scriptures that contain God’s promises about that area.

“One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.” (Psalms‬ ‭27:4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

God blesses who he chooses to. He has said that he causes the rain to fall on both the just and the unjust.

How do you explain Obed Edom whom God blessed when others had written him off simply because they kept the ark of God in his house? 2 Samuel 6:11-15

How do you explain our own several contemporaries especially the unbelievers whom God has blessed even without being religious. Elon Musk for example.

When I did my little research about this man's beginning, I was really impressed about his conversion testimony. But seeing what he has transitioned into today only proves that it's not how well you start but how well you end.

Why Did Jesus Ask Simon Peter, "Do You Love Me" Three Times?

John 21:15-17 (KJV)

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

I'm sure Peter would have wondered what was actually going on when Jesus who knew him very well and that he had forsaking everything to follow Him, would still be asking him, "lovest thou me?" And not just once but three good times, because if anyone should know that Peter loved Him it should be Jesus Himself.

But Jesus very well knew what He was talking about because His sheep meant everything to Him. That's why He would lay down His life for them as a good Shepherd would.

So Jesus already knew that Peter loved Him,
but the question was not if Peter loved Him, but how much Peter loved Him. If Peter loved Him to the extent that he would take His sheep as He took them, and love and care for His sheep the way He did, because He had given His all for His sheep, and was going leave them in Peter's care, so it mattered a whole lot to Him that who He was going to leave His sheep with cared for His sheep as He would.

If Jesus could yet ask Peter who had proven his love for Him beyond any reasonable doubt, if He loved Him three times, I wonder how many times He would ask most of today's church leaders that same question. Because even the love Peter had for Jesus, most of them do not have, so how much more the love Jesus had for His sheep?

Moreover Jesus saying "feed my sheep" to Peter repeatedly on this occasion doesn't mean just giving them food or any kind of food, but the right kind of food, even that which the good Shepherd would feed them with if He were there with them - the kind of food that would lead to eternal life.

May God help us with leaders who would care for the sheep as Jesus did, and do everything they could to ensure that they're not lost to the enemy but preserved til the day the good Shepherd returns for His sheep. Amen!

Because leading the church was going to test every fibre of him. Only absolute love could make him withstand the challenges that come with the position.

I was in a serious challenge recently and was push to visit a white garment church. After the prophecy, I was told to get bucket, grace perfume, 3 blue candles, 4 white candles, and some other stuffs so they can prepare them. I then bath with it. That's its going to rid away any bad luck..everything was bout 4k. The cash is not the problem..but my question is this. If I fast and pray myself without doing all this, does it mean I can get positive results..

In the old testament these things were required.
Even in New testament Jesus did ask someone to dip himself in water before he was healed.

On another occasion, he used sand and saliva to heal a blind person.

My point is if you've gone for prayers and this is what they asked you to do, why are you still asking questions when they didn't ask you to perform ritual killings?

Even when Jesus was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel he still healed gentiles, samaritans, Romans, etc.
Likewise Paul who was sent to gentiles also healed Jews.

There is no question that can't be asked in Christianity. Anyone who tells you not to ask a certain question is ignorant.
